Muscat is beautiful and very distinctive - a very different vision for an Arabic city compared to Dubai - 4 hours away by car. One of the tallest buildings we saw was an elevator company (no joke) maybe 8 stories high. The Sultan Qaboos Mosque is the grand mosque of the country. In the fish souk, we saw whole fish that we usually only see as filets if we see them at all. On our hotel beach at dusk, male ghost crabs build these pyramids to show off for females.
