Black Cherry Tomatoes

Florentel usually spreads out in a bed, taking up as much space as possible... and usually feels rather safe and comfy with lots of blankets or heavy blankets thanks to his 'illness' growing up. He prefers sleeping in a fluffy night robe when sleeping alone at home.

When he is sleeping with his husband, everything changes. He is cuddling, or being cuddled, in a tangle of limbs.wont be easy getting up in the morning. Any kind of blankets are fine but he does sleep in pants, making it easier to get up and get moving.

As much as Ren enjoys sleeping in, he does it rarely in favor of doing some morning stretches and practice. He mostly sleeps in when he is taking a break at home with his family or if he knows Sorrel and him will not be needed until later in the day.

As for where he sleeps, he has his own room back home in his family manor... but otherwise he shares inn rooms or their personal room in their shared bar/home with his husband.

I’m close enough to posting one that I feel comfortable sharing what I’ve been working on! This is my first time really writing synopses so I’m sorry if things aren’t as clear as they should be! 

The Rider-Waite Method to Love

WIP Type: Short Story

Genre: Romance (with some light fantasy/paranormal elements!)

Synopsis: Valerie couldn’t ask for a better life. She’s feels great, her business is thriving, and she’s (finally) got a handle on her Gift. Of course, all that means is that it’s the perfect time to shake things up. Especially if that thing is Valerie’s love life.

Development: The first draft is done and I’m waiting on other eyes to give it an edit. Hopefully it won’t take too many drafts (I think my goal will be 2-3 for this particular piece) before outside eyes think it’s good enough for me to post!

Boiling

WIP Type: Short Story

Genre: Paranormal Horror

Synopsis: Louisa has been living comfortably in her new(ish) apartment for several months now. That all changes when she start hears a bump in the night. And a night turns into nights. And the bumps become something a lot more sinister.  

Development: First draft is written but needs for me to edit it and then to turn it over for someone else to edit. (I also have a kind of sort of plan for a bunch of short horror stories so nobody may get to see this one for while.)

WIP Type: Novel

Genre: Horror? (There is probably a subgenre that would fit a lot better, but I’m not sure what yet!)

(Very brief and very simple because I’m not willing to commit to much yet!) Synopsis: Sorrel is on the run from people serving something that she doesn’t know. The thing is, she’s running out of places to hide and they’re getting better at finding her.

Development: Still in the writing process and will likely stay that way for a very long time! (I’m trying to up my skills enough to be worthy of writing this one! So lots of short stories and maybe a few novellas will be happening while I write this.)

Another update-y post I think??

It may take me a little while to finish up all the character introductions (don’t worry I’m not saving them all for the end, I’ll release them gradually as they’re done lol), here’s a list of all the characters to expect proper introductions for.  Ofc there are other characters, but I can’t do a profile for EVERY side character :’)

These are only names but I hope this is something at least!! Faeries (non-Minesti): Sorrel (he has one I know, but I’m going to update it soon!), Valerie, Faust

Faeries (Minesti): Aurelia, Xavier, Gwen, Heliux, Layra, Aella, Lazuli, Viola, Sylvan, Lu, Elmore, Calicio

Also keep in mind that these are subject to change, but this is what I’m aiming for.  In the mean time, here’s a small sneak peak of one of the Minesti, Aurelia!  I think her sketch turned out pretty good, can’t wait to show you all.

First screenshot of my new computer (after old one was stolen out of my house while i was at work) ... uh...

You know ..you never know what one gesture of kindness will do . how it will help someone.. I always remind people thoughts are things so guard your self thoughts ...but even I can get holiday blues/winter blues that go unseen.. But a cousin who is always busy with her 3 kids calls at work yesterday &knows “how I get” asked if I’m ok & I replied “don’t wanna talk about it” but keeps me on the phone until that sound in my voice breaks.. on my lunch I go to post office & a stranger says “I see you” by randomly walking over to me &says “MerryChristmas” &handed me a gift ..I come back to a coworker handing me a well chosen card & saying thank you and a proverbial “I see you” with a box of chocolates .. another coworker bless me with a private stash of her holiday codfish cakes .. this all turned into me treating myself better than I intended (especially since my son is with his dad this holiday)...they helped me turn my thoughts around.. before I can even get home a friend missing flight to SKN Carnival &needing to wait in my apartment last night.. for her new 6am flight.. she thought I was helping her ...when she was really helping me... keeping me company w/fun and laughter so my thoughts wouldn’t degrade. Still was not sure I was “Myself” this morning when a busy-body (Lol) cousin @shinchanglam DM’d me early AF this morning even though she herself was up until 4 am...then pulling out the fish cakes to eat unaccompanied by anything not even bread turned into the thought “you cyant do dat man....big Christmas Day? What di asss” so saltfish &ackee my coworkers codfish cakes & some flat AF fry bakes later with sorrel and a mimosa and chocolate strawberries on the side ..I want to say thank you to @x_____piggy Fernando the stranger at the post office and Sylvia, @sugarydopeness & @shinchanglam & @glassesjacketshirtguy for thinking of me &4the love. I want to say2mymom thanks for the nudge this mornTing 2cook. What reminds them of each other?

Sorrel and Florentel ( @kepesktribe ) are still newlyweds so they are constantly thinking of one another and are rarely apart. Having said that, Sorrel is reminded of Ren by things like:

light blue (the color of Ren's eyes)

Turquoise (Ren's family color he often wears)

Roses (Ren was a Rose Knight when they met)

Candles (Ren's family are candle makers by trade)

The most important of all is the Valeriant family crest that Ren crafted for him to add to a keepsake charm necklace that he always wears.

Summer Fun

1: Who initiated the relationship, and how did they go about it?

Sorrel rescued Florentel ( @kepesktribe ) from a flock of Gastornis that was chasing him and basically fell in love with the silly Rose Knight the moment he looked into his blue eyes. Sorrel's relentless flirting through their adventures always seemed to go over Ren's head to the point that one day when he was flirting Ren snapped at him that flirting when he didn't mean it was cruel. Sorrel had to explain to Ren then and there that he wasn't flirting because he's just a flirtatious bard, but because he was in love with him. Ren didn't believe him at first so Sorrel kissed him to prove it. Thus the two men who had been secretly longing for each other finally arrived at the same page.
