Yoko Takahash
高橋 洋子 is a Japanese singer, composer and songwriter who creates popular music, jazz and anisong.
Music has accompanied her throughout her life. She began her adventure at the age of two, learning to play the piano from her father. While in elementary school, she attended the Takinogawa choir. At the age of 10, she participated in an album depicting the works of Osamu Tezuka. In high school she was a member of a band. At university, she was active in a music club and aspired to become an opera singer. Together with members of the music club, she founded the band Yau Power. In 1986, the band participated in the first CSPC , a competition organized by Kitty Records, and won a prize. In 1987, she won an audition for the choral group "LOVE MACHINE," which supported Toshinobu Kubota's "Groovin'" tour.
Before her major label debut, she performed as a chorus singer who accompanied artists such as Toshinobu Kubota, Yumi Matsutoyi, Wink, Miki Imai and Yuki Saito. During this period, she began working on her career as a singer. As a studio musician, she created music for commercials and soundtracks.
In 1991, she made her debut as a ballad singer with the song "P.S. I miss you."
In 1992, she won the 34th Japan Record Award for Best Newcomer for her song "Once more I miss you." That same year, she also won the Rookie of the Year Award at the 25th Japan Cable Awards for her song "P.S. I miss you."
In 1995, she studied music in Los Angeles, USA. After returning to Japan, she teamed up with Toshiyuki Omori, who decided to participate in a cover project of the theme song "Fly Me to the Moon" for Neon Genesis Evangelion. Thanks to the suggestion of Toshimichi Ohtsuki (King Records), she sang the song "Cruel Angel's Thesis."
Her voice will be heard not only in the Evangelion series, but also in "Ranma 1/2" (where she created under the pseudonymYAWMIN) and "All-powerful Culture Catgirls" ( YAUMIN).
In 2000, she became an freelancer. In the meantime, she worked as a caregiver. The artist recalls this time as a period when she withdrew from the entertainment industry. However, she did not completely suspend her entertainment activities. When invited, she appeared on television, recorded and performed live.

I try to keep up with all the yuri anime we get, which means that 1) I've been eating well this season, and 2) I've been contractually obligated to watch Seiyuu Radio no Uraomote.
I wasn't too keen on it based on the synopsis, especially with how many yuri series we've been getting for the yuri to be the saving grace. Unfortunately it did fall flat for me. The setting was boring, their dynamic was weird (based on what it was supposed to be?), the visuals weren't anything to write home about...
Yasumi didn't register as a gyaru to me, which would've made her more charming and the dichotomy actually feel like one, while Yuuhi felt inconsistent. As a lesbian I didn't mind the bathing scenes and her horny requests, but it felt like they came out of nowhere?? At first at least, by the end of the season it was a fun nod to her being an obvious lesbian. But even then, I never came to care about either Yasumi or Yuuhi, I didn't care about their problems, and I didn't care about their relationship.
I think Sore ga Seiyuu! did a better job showcasing what it's like working as a seiyuu and I hated the challenge they set up with Yuuhi's mother, for her to be allowed to continue working as a seiyuu. It felt so silly with no real stakes, since of course they’d succeed.
I think they were moving in an okay direction with Yasumi's and Yuuhi's relationship, but unfortunately the anime ended before we got to explore it further. I like it when one character is clearly gay and another is completely oblivious (or at least pretends to be), but if you want a yuri series where that dynamic is executed well, let me direct you towards Adachi to Shimamura.
Overall it wasn't the worst series I've ever seen, but I can't think of any praise for it either. Only suggestions for various improvements that would've made me invested in it.

🍰>> 19/12
Ah, eu joguei My Little Pony da Gameloft hoje. É divertido o minigame de música. Também joguei Hello Kitty World 2, mas não tanto porque fiquei com preguiça.
Até amanhã!! 🍓🍒

Just like the anime industry in general, we don't know much about life being a seiyuu either. It was thanks to anime like Sore ga Seiyuu! that we get to see the good, the bad, and the ugly side of being a seiyuu.
