Sonictober 2024 Day 1: Stasis + Sonadowtober 2024 Day 1: I Found You, Faker!

I am combining these themes for the month. I saw someone do something like this once for a different fandom and when I saw the prompts for both Sonictober and Sonadowtober, it was like my muse returned from her vacation with a smoothie and an ostrich in tow.

As we can see, for the first day, we have Sonic places in a stasis and Shadow coming to save him.

No idea how Sonic got caught - Forces AU, new baddie? Idk - but since Sonic was the one who said the line back in SA2 and Shadow had been in a stasis, I figured swapping them around would be good enough.

Woah, not dead! Just busy, and drunk. No correlation... Anywho, this was a prompt for ASO for the Sonictober event. This year, I got to do the prompt for guilt. So I went with a unique coloring style for this one. Hope you guys like it, and stay tuned for more to come soon enough. In addition to the drawing, here's a little bonus poem to go with the work as well, hope this may add some extra flair to the work.

What stares back at me

I walk back down the familiar paths from before.

When I walk far enough, those I love the most are there.

And they all see who I am to my core.

Some see me as a friend who shows unending care.

Others see me as a leader with a great sense of passion.

While others see the freedom fighter who's ready to protect.

And one who neither of us can seem to avoid the other's attraction.

So why, when I stare at my reflection, all that stares back at me is my guilt?

I'm sure you've noticed, but I dropped out of Sonictober. I don't feel bad about it either because I already stuck with it for WAY LONGER than I could've ever imagined I would!

For now I will go back to focussing on my own Sonic content, mainly my AU 'Elements of Chaos.' A lot of Sonictober content already featured designs, characters and even events from said AU, so if you liked my Sonictober stuff, I'm sure you'll enjoy Elements of Chaos too!

SonicTober 2022: Trust Another animation for ASO’s sonictober event! This was a nightmare to figure out how to compress, but lo and behold- media sites like videos more than gifs The most ambitious one in terms of color and the source of my lack of sleep for the past week :D I always thought the ending to Sonic Rush felt really sad and touching - it felt perfect for something like TRUST

Day 6 of Sonictober+my Sonic Au! (Also Wherehog Wednesday!) After an event, everyone became their costumes! Sonic, who dressed as a Werewolfhog is... kinda mad!

SONICTOBER: DAYS 1 - 4

Here are my first few drawings for Sonictober 2018! I’ve now already done better than last year, as I only did the first 2 days of Sonictober last year XD

It almost feels weird to have all my art be completely traditional in this post, but it definitely gives my art a different look!

Day 1: I wanted to focus on Chao and the Master Emerald for this first prompt, and it somehow grew into a cool looking image inspired by the mayan look of the Echidna tribe!

Day 2: In the Sonic Tumblr Discord Server (Sontumb for short!), we’re having a little Halloween event where we got a random character paired with a random costume. I got Classic Sonic and a demon costume, so I thought it would be cool to draw it for Sonictober!

Day 3: Oh boy. This took me more than a day to finish XD Ok, so this is the Sonic Monster AU, that a few people from Sontumb and I got really attached to. It originally started out as a few random headcanons, but then grew into this AU of the characters being different mythical creatures and monsters all living together in a giant spooky mansion!

Day 4: I really love Tyson Hesse’s art style (I mean who doesn’t? XD), so I wanted to draw my Sonic OC in his style! Her name’s Jennifer the Dog, and I had made her during the Forces hype ‘cause the last main OC I had didn’t really stick for long XD

Rick is just buying a gift for Li. Just do to her work when he saw the toolbox he thought of her and thought she would like it I can always try to buy her a gift that's pretty expensive but he thought I was probably going to be worth it.

Jarle was a normal bio-engineer. but let's just say something happened right. now he can't recall the whole event but he knew screaming and people dropping like flies around him was all he can really remember and also getting very injured somebody came up to him a man with glowing swirling eyes and asked him for a price his soul to live forever and not to fear death again.

Nullan (Nik) is a type of magic fused robot. And she found a sandworm batnik and thought it was pretty cute he's asking his sibling if he could at least try to keep it more likely that she's going to say no until he dang longer and hard for it.

Sonictober 2024 Day 31 Acceptance + Sonadowtober 2024 Day 31 All-Nighter

A little moment, very late at night. Shadow, you were supposed to make sure Tails went to bed before midnight...

Instead, the two are working on one of Tails' projects. I imagine he decided to help out, thinking it will be quicker. Instead, both got so into it, they failed to notice the time passing.

Sonic got up to get some water, only to catch sight of the two at work, in sync and good pace.

Sonictober 2024 Day 6 Honesty + Sonadowtober 2024 Day 6 Autumn Leaves

And it was concerning - Sonic how tf you survived the goshdang ARCTIC without any protection?!

A walk through a forested area, warm drinks, warmer clothing, a nice moment. Just a nice moment.

Sonictober 2024 Day 4: Chaos Emerald + Sonadowtober 2024 Day 4: Red and Blue

When it clicks, it clicks!

I considered drawing their faces in the emeralds, but decided on the silhouettes during the drawing process. I think it came out nice.

As for why Sonic in Red and Shadow in Blue, I wanted their eye colors to be visible, which could not be possible for Shadow in Red.

Sonictober 2024 Day 16 Secret + Sonadowtober 2024 Day 16 Treasure Hunting

The Treasure being the Chaos Emeralds that Shadow keeps in his quills...and is slipping out a bit.

Does Sonic actually need the emerald or does he want to see if he can steal it off the sleeping Ultimate Lifeform?

Dunno, whichever is the funnier answer, honestly.

Think Sonic can pull it off or will Shadow wake up before he gets to the emerald?

What do you think Shadow would do in either case?

Sonictober 2024 Day 30 Sentimental + Sonadowtober 2024 Day 30 Heist

Back in Secret/Treasure Hunting, Sonic was reaching for the Green Chaos Emerald in Shadow's quills, while the Ultimate Lifeform napped.

He was successful.

In a sense, because Shadow knew what happened and went to get the emerald back - he likes it, the one he stole and it reminds him of green eyes.

Sonic was not expecting being caught or the smooch!

And Tails is channeling his AOSTH views on romance, XD

Sonictober 2024 Day 20 Android + Sonadowtober 2024 Day 20 Adrenaline

I made them kinda chibi/stick figure on the sides.

Shadow Android confesses their feelings to Sonic. Reactions vary to surprise, anger and irritated!

Sonic knows he's a handsome 'hog, but for his boyfriends robotic replica to confess their feelings to him? What a way to end the week.

Shadow is not amused, Adrenaline pumping, he is ready to rip the machine into a gazillion pieces.

Metal Sonic...well, they were sent to make sure the Rogue Android is back in the base they broke out from - only to see this scene. Yet, why is the feeling of annoyance not the only thing in their core?

Sonictober 2024 Day 19 ARK + Sonadowtober 2024 Day 19 Cat Cafe

...yeah, this is the best I ever could think up...I mean....*waves at the prompts* Shadow having a weirdass dream made the most sense!

Maybe he heard about Cat Cafes or looked some up and his subconscious decided to shake up the routine and give him a weird dream instead of memory-nightmare-combo platter.

I mean, Dooms Eye with cat-eared addition seemed wacky enough.

Yeah, Sonic's just going snork-mimimi over there. At least, until Shadow decides to wake him up to tell about the dream, I guess.

Sonictober 2024 Day 18 Camelot + Sonadowtober 2024 Day 18 Claws/Fangs

Well, LanSoni in this case, but it's just a different flavor.

We have an intimate moment of Sonic checking out Lancelot's claws, he'll probably check the fangs out later.

Lancelot in the Arthurian Legend was raised in the fae realm, maybe in SATBK he's half-fae, replacing the alien with a different creature, who knows, I just think it works to give this guy claws and fangs.

Sonic definitely likes what he's seeing at any rate.
