#Sonic x Shadow Generations spoilers

shadow meeting gerald and maria once more, forced to fight black doom again, meeting those old ghosts he believed he left behind long ago and having to face them whilst knowing their fate. whilst desperately trying to change something inevitable. watching them notice how he's changed. seeing how proud they are of him, through everything he's gone through. standing up for him against black doom. maria yelling at black doom. shadow wanting to save them but being forced to accept they're gone, leaving before they fully fade away because he can't take seeing it again. he's already moved past their deaths. well, he thought he had. he had broken free from black doom and chosen his own destiny, and now he was forced to travel through it all again. but now he sees their faces. now he hears them speak and now he tries to save them and now they're here, they're real, but it changes nothing. you can't bring back a ghost. shadow being forced to move on. maria telling shadow to find peace in the light. to let go of his anger. black doom trying to take over him once more. shadow letting them go. both of them. he won't follow maria's advice to the letter, although she'll always be in his heart, and he'll never listen to black doom. shadow forming his own destiny. shadow moving past those ghosts once more. all hail shadow was the best fucking song to play for the final bossfight. he's choosing his own path once more, he's leaving those ghosts behind again. no ghosts to bring him down. he's shadow the hedgehog and he is all of him

I'm thinking of selling sonic keychains & stickers on etsy, but can anyone tell me how reflective your social media reception is to the amount of purchases you may get?

Last year at sonic expo a booth owner said they got no attention on social media posts but still made plenty of sales etsy, but seeing etsy's seller fees makes me a liiiittle nervous

If anyone with experience is willing to DM me or reblog with info then I'd be really appreciative!!

[this post is about something pretty significant in the story of shadow generations, for anyone who's still avoiding spoilers]

ok so something that fucking Gets Me is that shadow does smile every now and then. not often, sure, but with a little digging you can find at least a couple smiles from basically every iteration of shadow! observe

so like we have a template for what shadow looks like when he smiles. it's almost always some variation of this smug little smirk with his eyebrows/eyelids down, somewhere on a scale from 'cocky little bastard' to 'trying his best to copy what he thinks a smile might look like based on a description he heard once'. and most of the time it is steeped in some smug anime rival moment, but even when shadow is just genuinely responding emotionally to something nice happening, it looks something like this.

so all in all there's the impression that this is just how shadow smiles. that he's not super good at it, that maybe he doesn't quite know or remember how, but this really is him at his most genuine. right on, that's cute i s'pose, no problem, me too king i'm autistic. AND THEN THIS FUCKING HAPPENS

oh my god!!!!! fuck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this looks NOTHING like his 'normal' smile - his eyes are so open, his mouth is so relaxed, there isn't a speck of that smugness that shapes even his sincerest expressions! did he even know he could do this???? maybe everything we've seen so far has been an awkward attempt at it, and this is the first time we've REALLY seen shadow's smile. maybe we've seen him smile, but we're only now seeing him happy. maybe we'll never see it again.

after a lifetime of defaulting to a flat scowl and all these perhaps unintentionally self-assured looking smirks and half-smiles, shadow looks at his sister and smiles for her like it's the easiest thing he's ever done in his life.

this game is gonna make me THROW UP!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am not over Gerald calling Shadow son in Shadow Generations. That's his boy, that's his real son boy that he has to say goodbye to. He's so upset he put Shadow in this position from the very beginning, but he loves him and he's so glad to have created him and I fucking CAN'T.
