For Kai I envisioned a kind of, not worship for reader, but… reverence? Or admiration of some kind, viewing the nullification as her body’s own efforts to resist the quirk virus. Despite it in and of itself being a quirk. The same type of cognitive dissonance he has when it comes to regarding himself as clean and undiseased despite having overhaul lol. In any case it was a reason to keep her suffocatingly close, make sure nothing else could touch her, soil her, make her dirty. I know the “I’m the only one Overhaul can touch without getting hives” bnha fic trope can be overused but I 100% do not care because that’s exactly how I saw this situation with reader. But, like you said, he’s a germaphobe. So even with skin to skin contact not being a primary issue I definitely think touch was still a point of conflict. And sex was… a very specific, step by step process that HE decided every little detail about. As was this entire relationship. He controlled her clothes, diet, physical activity, hobbies, any possessions she had. There was no choice which soured things even when Kai happened to pick something she enjoyed.

Definitely love the idea of both Reader and Shiggy beginning to share/watch porn together and that Tomura’s browser history and stuff changes. Bc one of the things that had me chewing on this idea the most was him having someone to be soft with, and to be able to make self discoveries with.

You'd THINK I'd say Doctor Who based on, ya know *gestures vaguely at blog*. But I usually go with comedies when I want comfort. If I had to pick just one, I'd probably say Ted Lasso. But Our Flag Means Death, Brooklyn Nine Nine, and New Girl are also up there. And lately Abbott Elementary (that's what I ended up watching right after my dad died actually, it was a nice light hearted distraction).

9.) Best childhood moment?

Oh gosh how to chose hmmm. I mean, I feel like I almost HAVE to say the day my little sister was born. She's almost 12 years younger so I remember it well. And she's definitely the best thing that ever happened to me/the person I love most in the world.

But I do also have pretty good memories of a trip to Disney World with both my parents when I was 8. They'd been divorced for like 2 years at that point but wanted to take us as a family anyhow, and it was pretty great. We drove there, my dad drove for 21 hours straight without stopping (yes he was crazy). We got to Florida at like 11pm (we went to Daytona Beach first, and drove to Disney the next day) and just went straight to bed. And I remember the next morning, I woke up before my mom & sister, and went out to the balcony to watch the sun rise over the ocean with my dad, and that was my first time seeing the ocean!

11.) Do you have a comfort item? Tell us about it!

Yes, 2 actually! The main one is I have a baby blanket that my grandma on my dad's side made for me. She made one for all 6 of her grandkids actually. Idk what exactly the craft she did is called, needlepoint maybe? Idk but basically she made a bunch of Disney characters out of yarn on the blanket. But the blanket itself has a nice smooth texture that's cool to the touch and is just nice sensory wise. The "blanket" is basically just a tangled ball of scraps at this point, cuz I've slept with it basically every night for 33 years lol. But I still love it and it brings me comfort.

The other one is a squishmallow I got a few years ago. He is a gnome and his name is Gnorman (idk what the actual official squishmallow name is, I renamed him). And he has probably absorbed gallons of tears from me crying into him at this point 😂

14.) Whats something upcoming that you’re excited for?

Hmm there's not really a lot of big things for me to look forward to at the moment, so I've mostly just been looking forward to small things like watching my show. I guess maybe christmas? Altho I'm honestly not feeling it as much this year 🤷‍♀️

Virgo moon

I just want to first put out there that this is mostly my experience as a person and how I think it connects to my Virgo moon. Not everyone will feel this way because honestly you can't. Lol sorry but I'm just made differently bruh that sounds so cringy and that was a joke just to clarify. So let's get into this tho.

One thing I have always found so interesting in some post about Virgo moons is how 'critical' our mother was of us, but I wanted to kinda add a new perspective lol i guess. I was raised with two out of my three siblings. For reference they both have Taurus suns but one has a sag moon while the other has a Taurus moon. Now the difference between how we were treated was odd in my opinion. For instance, I felt like they would allow themselves to be far more emotionally expressive but mostly their anger. But as I have gotten older it turns out that the core difference was that I didn't feel like one of my mom's kids most times. I logically knew that I was younger than my mom and all that jazz, but something about our dynamic that I find interesting is that my parents in general did not know how to parent me. Now it wasn't like I was entirely on my own but it was limited compared to others. Like my mom would do these kinda punishments for various reasons, but I knew how to adapt to them I guess. Like oh I'm not allowed to leave the house, good cause I like being by myself anyways. Oh now I'm not allowed to play video games...cool I'll just read. What? I can't read now, okay I'll just create my own stories or write songs or even just stare at the wall and daydream. I defeinly feel like I was treated differently than my siblings and as I've talked about previously is that I was kinda the golden child. But to be honest I feel like I was more like a weird mixture of the golden child and the forgotten child.

Another thing I wanted to point out is that both my moon and my mars are in mutable signs so I feel like it was easier for me to adapt to shit than try to fight or whatever. In comparison my two siblings have fixed mars with one in Taurus and the other in Aquarius. The placements went like this:

Oh gosh uhm, well I know for SURE Hachiko would listen to a LOOOTT of J-Pop maybe some J-Rock, probably some K-Pop and K-Rock if that's a thing... haven't heard of any K-Rockers. She'd also listen to Japanese Folk music for sure. That'd probably be her favorite honestly. Hmm... favorite sonnnggg, gosh I unno. I don't really know any Japanese Folk songs but one of those would probably be her fave. OH WAIT! Maybe Deep Forest by Do As Infinity.

Yayashi would probably listen to Cottagecore music? I'm not sure what would constitute as Cottagecore music but yeah. I learned about Cottagecore music from the Sims 4 XD Erm... her favorite song would probably be... hmm... probably Cardigan by Tyler Swift or uhm... Livewire by Oh Wonder.

Also, Ghost?

Oh boy. Ok lemme explain Ghost, sorry, this is about to be a looooooooooong post lmao but this is my current fixation so:

Ghost is a band. A band with fictional characters, and kind of a story.

The frontman is currently Papa Emeritus IV, or Copia. He's my favorite:

Before him, there were three other Papas:

This is the first Papa, or Primo as the fans call him. He debuted around 2010

He is a very grumpy, very old looking man. He was the frontman until the next Papa took over in 2012

This is Papa II, or Secondo:

This Papa has his fans, a lot of people do think he's hot. He is also an old looking, grumpy looking individual but he's also been seen without the corpse paint

He kinda looks like Pitbull.

Anyway, the next is Terzo. The third Papa.

He's apparently a few months younger than Secondo but he doesn't look it. Also I learned recently that he's like 4'9 to make of that what you will lmao. He was Papa from 2015 to 2017-18 when he was forcibly removed from stage. I think it was because he started to make it about himself instead of the cause (which since this is a Satanic band, they're trying to spread the word of Satan i guess??)

After that, the current Papa, Papa Emeritus IV or Copia, became Papa. But before he was that, he was Cardinal Copia, and he looked like this:

Now when I first found out about this band, I thought these were all different people, but it turned out, they're all the same guy, and you can kinda tell in some of the pictures that he's wearing a mask. He had several made for the different characters.

This is the man behind the mask, and the band, he's the singer and songwriter. His name's Tobias Forge:

He's a dude from Sweden who came up with this elaborate storyline and band and honestly it's super neat. He kept his real appearance hidden for a while but ultimately due to some drama he finally came forward. He seems like a really cool guy from what I've seen

FUN FACT: Today's his birthday actually :D

But back to the storyline of Ghost, so there's one other Papa aside from the four current frontmen, and he's actually NOT played by Tobias.

Papa Nihil:

Primo, Secondo, and Terzo are his sons (and it's heavily implied that Copia is his son as well)

He's kind of the head Papa of all Papas, kind of a more Pope-like Pope I guess? He's a very grumpy man who doesn't like Copia and really didn't like that Copia got to become Papa, despite Copia being a fun character that the fanbase has ended up loving tremendously.

Also Papa Nihil is dead. Sometimes at concerts they bring his "dead body" out and revive it so he can have a saxophone solo in the instrumental song Miasma.

Then there's Sister Imperator

this is her when she was young, she's older now obviously but they've changed her actress several times. Here's some of her different older looks:

She's basically the real brains behind the operation of the Ghost Project, and she and Papa Nihil were in a relationship when they were younger (however, he fucked that up by being a bit of a player)

It's heavily implied she's Copia's mother, hence why Nihil is implied to be his father. She is the reason Copia became Papa, it was her choice.

Other characters include the ghouls! The bandmates for concerts, they usually have masks covering their faces:

this is their current look. Very steampunk-y.

So TLDR: Ghost is a Satanic themed band made by a Swede who was super into metal growing up and made a whole fictional group of characters in the process. They have videos on their youtube that show Copia becoming Papa and stuff. They actually just released a new vid not too long ago that might be implying something is going to be happening to Papa IV soon, cuz the previous Papas were killed.

It's a lot of fun and I don't take it too seriously cuz it's clear they're having fun with this, and the fanbase seems really cool from what I've seen. I'm leaving a lot out but that's cuz there's just... so much. It's really cool tho I recommend them

My God, what a breathtaking, awesome, heart wrenching, beautiful love story!!

I love love the title!! showing Kenshi's character really well! He can be both soft lover boy and next second he's that dangerous gangster man! love it how title give us a overall view of what side of Kenshi we expect here, when you told me you're working on something with Johnny in army my strong guess was ; oh so she's writing something like a spin off for her fic but this time in military au' this angst was like a whiplash to my face and what a lovely surprise it was! I enjoyed reading every single words, every single sentence. some parts were like a poetry and some parts were like a teragedic theater screenplay. Awesome job like always! I'm listening to playlist of this amazing fic you just shared while typing and hnn everything just fits so well!

About military part and Johnny interacting with others, I think it all came out pretty awesome! and while it's fictional but I take it serious when it's about writing things like military stuffs, rules, ranks, gun details, how they speak in codes. love it how flawless you made it! dodged smaller details in such smooth way that it counts as 'perfect'! love this idea of Johnny going on single mission to hunt down Kenshi! with a snipper too! (does it sound childish if I say I literally screamed when I read that part? I really don't like idea of Johnny in military but you made it into such hot, delicious picture of him this is a super power of a God only! my respect honestly!) thos if I was in Sonya place I'd never send Johnny alone.. with their background and once being in love, Johnny has a tender heart and while he was trained and prepared, you can't change 'personality' of someone. once in love part of their soul always stays with their lover, no matter what happens between. I loved it how you mentioned it many times in fic as Johnny's point of view, he thinks of all those years of preparing for this moment but once he faces Kenshi, it all is gone on the wind..

Johnny's breath catches in his throat and for a fleeting second, he lets his heart indulge in the sight.

Kenshi Takahashi—the last dream of Johnny's soul, the sun in his winter, the man of many, many horrible things.

Kenshi looks the same but so different at the same time. He still styles his hair the same way, still nurses his drink the same way. His white-out eyes are no longer a shock to Johnny, they still cast downward the same way.

However, there's a palpable air of power around him.

Kenshi's arms are propped up on the chair with his shirt sleeves pushed up to his elbows and his top buttons are open enough to see the peak of color under his collarbones. The Kenshi Johnny knows would never flaunt his tattoos like this.

I can scream forever about how much I love this scene and it won't be enough! God I love how you gave him powerful, predatory look! and Oyabun no less! God I need to see this picture of him more! this man, this powerful man being always in control even while he holds delicate body of his lover in his arms, always in right mind, always ready for attack like a tiger on a hunt. I love him, I love how you write him! he flourishes in your hands, comes to life with your beautiful words! saunters and flaunts his power under your vision of him. MK gave us Kenshi but 'you' breathed life into him! pulled him out of a simple video game, let him have his own personality. I keep saying it and I mean it, MK fandom is truly blessed by you!! small details such as 'showing off tattoos' are amazing! he's proud of wearing symbols of his power, showing his rank when he sits on throne. sharp and dangerous yet looking so mesmerizing and seducing like Satan himself. well done and awesome job! God I'm standing here in awe, another impressive work you gifted us. this part of ;he lets his heart indulge in the sight. I really felt bad for Johnny.. poor darling boy still having remains of his once loved but now shattered to pieces heart, still being in love and it's so searing his heart longs for his lover..

Kenshi is just a target now, framed by the window like a macabre painting, a scene waiting to be altered by the stroke of a silent brush. Just a target to eliminate.

Love love love it how many thoughts and effort and time you spend on your writings! all of them, every single of them is just so so good it's really hard to pick a fave one but I do love how this paragraph came out! telling the scene of 'looking at him through scope and ready to pull trigger but you turned it into beautiful words, you turned it into a lovely painting that touches reader's heart so gently. consider its from Johnny's view. we have a poem in our language;

Meaning a lover always sees the world through rose colored glasses, always sees his lover surrounded by colors. a picture so beautiful words aren't enough to describe it.

Kenshi once told him that he loves him and Johnny said it back to him. But he still doesn't know if they meant the same thing when Kenshi's eyes are now cold, stark white and Johnny's heart is still bleeding.

Here they are, just as strange as each other. If their bodies could touch again, what would they have to say?

“Missed me much?” Kenshi's voice cuts through his thoughts, delighted at Johnny's unuttered truth.

Lord above have mercy, God I read this part many many times last night. feels like giving Tin man a heart of love, beating with life and made by soft flesh but the man still is made by iron, so harsh and relentless even tender touch of their minds and feeling Johnny's love for him can't break this metal skin. can't reach inside and squeeze his heart anymore..

Dark Kenshi (in a way only you write him) is a scary figure, love how you mentioned;

He tastes like every dark thought he has ever had, every happiness he has ever had, every pain he will ever have. Kenshi tastes like heaven but God knows he's made for sin.

In the back of his mind, Johnny asks himself what is he doing? Kissing a man who has done horrific things and enjoyed them with no amount of knowing better or guilt to feel in hindsight. 

This vessel in Johnny's arms is a lie, a shapeshifting beast, and a lesson in betrayal. He wants to only hold it—whether it is the man or the thought—in his chest and come to terms with it.

But why?

Why is it hard to break free when Kenshi is irredeemable, a living weapon with the mere face of his love?

Johnny's heart still wants to believe it is not Kenshi's fault that he’s made this way, or he's led blindly in a direction with the hands that gripped him, and he's a victim just as his victims are.

Like it isn't Kenshi's fault, like Johnny still believes deep down there's goodness left in this shell, like Kenshi didn't pick this way himself but it was forced on him.. Johnny trying to pour all his love and desire into the kiss and that's the part I love the most, the difference between them, Johnny loses himself completely when with his lover while Kenshi always keeps a clear mind, always so cautious even when sharing an intimate moment such as 'kissing'. you remember than scene from Gone Girl book? it suddenly reminded me of that, that Kenshi could simply ask for a meeting and simply have Johnny in the bed, sink the blade in his heart when Johnny was lost and high up in the clouds and Johnny, head over heels, would forgive him even while he can feel cold metal in his heart. I love how you set up the scenario, looks more like a Romeo and Juliet story and certainly is better fit with Kenshi's personality and having honor and respect in works he does, even when it's killing his own lover, it must be done with a class, with noble. if any other man, it wouldn't be so remarkable like how it is for 'Kwnshi', Japaneses people and their values.

“What you survived may not be kind, but I'm still me, still here,” Johnny says, giving in to the destruction, and reaches for Kenshi's hand. The touch is warm, stark against all the coldness Johnny convinced himself in the past.

Love love loved how you kept using words such as cold/warm together in the fic! it may won't be seen at first but God am I so obsessed with stories?! some parts of a good fic just leaves a bright carving on my mind, a lovely trace that lasts forever. I mean, I've been on ao3 for many years now but Lord, only afew fic can have that special effects on me. it's so painfully sweet to read it from Johnny's view, boy still hoping for his lover to come back to him, still reaches out for Kenhi in middle of night while deep down he knows Kenshi will never be his again, won't return from the path he crossed. I was hoping Kenshi says something like; be mine. at the end. because it's hard for Kenshi to drop everything and leave but Johnny's only anchor to this world is 'Kenshi'. it won't be hard for him to follow..

I feel bad for making you write dark Kenshi hehe, but dear God, am I in love with this fic?! this is so so good and I loved a dark Kenshi so much! love how it came out so perfectly, so fluently like your Kenshi had a dark side from the start, he just needed an opportunity to show up which shows the power of a very talented writer only X3

Johnny tries to push him away and loses his balance. There's a sharp blade sticking out of his body, don't hug him, might Kenshi get impaled too.

Kenshi lowers his body to the ground and onto his lap. Blood grows hot on Johnny's skin, the heat leaving his body in tendrils but it is a fleeting thing when he's in the other man's arms.

Johnny only watches the tears running down the face of the man he loves—endlessly and infinitely.

Why can't they have more time? He can love Kenshi to the end of the universe with enough time. He can love him with enough time to count the stars in the sky. Johnny loves him, forever did, and ever will. Something in his heart, blooming like a flower fed with blood, it will only die when he does too.

A gentle kiss is placed on his mouth and Johnny sees Kenshi's lips come back red.

“ Kenshi ,” He only mutters and as he hears it come out weak and wet, he knows that the end is soon. Why can't they have more time? 

“I'm here, my love.” 

Kenshi cups his cheek softly, his thumb strokes the corner of his lashes and Johnny closes his eyes involuntarily.

God this part only! love a helpless Johnny seeking Kenshi's touch even while it was 'him' who stabbed him in back. loved that calling for his name and Kenshi just lets him have this moment of peace and comfort, holds him close in his arms, soothes him when he's so scared when Death comes to take him.

“For all the ways you've changed, why am I still standing here? Why am I still breathing ?”

Kenshi looks at him like he's slapped outright, eyes terribly wide with an unadulterated stun. It is a face Johnny imagines him making if ever he pulls the trigger.

“Because no matter how much you stray from your path, how much you twist your morals, deep down,” Johnny bites out. “I am your weak spot and you are mine.”

Air goes stagnant in the silence the words leave. Johnny waits—because for all Kenshi believes himself to be the master of the game they play, he is just as entangled in its unyielding roots. Two edges of a sword, they are, existing in two places, here and where the other is. 

The pretense they defend with their own blood falls away and Kenshi finally smiles.

It is a smile Johnny only sees in his dreams, untainted and untouched by cruel destiny, Kenshi smiles like he used to do.

The gun clutters away on the floor and with one tug, Johnny brings Kenshi to his feet and collides his lips onto his. 

This part was the peak of the story for me, loved how Kenshi slips, just a small glimpse but it was the best part of the fic, when Johnny sees a crack in that iron shell, that tall wall Kenshi made around himself only by mentioning why it took too long for him to decide to finally remove Johnny now, why he so willingly is sitting and waiting patiently for Johnny to pull the trigger first, to decide first, to do this first. I think at this point Kenshi was in a struggle with himself so that's why he hesitated. not because of the gun pointing to his head but because sitting back for awhile "it's my Johnny in front of me, he looks so fragile, so tired, he missed me so much it broke him" because love does that to people.. Kenshi still loved him but their path went in such tragedic way both didn't expect. maybe if Johnny could switch sides which never happens and I know Kenshi knew this too, one of them should die that day and in that swift moment when Johnny drew gun, he so willingly left it in Johnny's hands to decide first.

They pull back, gulping down the air and Johnny waits for his brain to finish memorizing every dark lash on Kenshi's closed eyes.

This was Kenshi's last goodbye, when they parted he knew it'll be last time he kisses Johnny.

Loved the fic, every part was so special in its own way! loved how you pointed 'Kenshi reading mind' while those two went in hand in hand combat, loved the picture you gave us of Kenshi, loved everything about this fic!!! I do not deserve such nice gift hhn, going to print it and keep it forever in my library! I shall cherish and treasure it forever with love T.T

Honey I’m Home

Religious imagery and familial rejection and abuse ahoy! I’ve already doodled Scriabin with a moth chained to his hand (and Moth Edgar lol), but he obviously suits the spider just as well. The droning repetition suits Edgar too, especially since it’s centered around repression of thoughts and wants. That vivisection could be a lot of things, “Done by God for all to see” makes me tempted to pin it to Scriabin and Edgar’s separation.

Final Chapter

I mentioned briefly in my first set of tags that I liked this song for juuuust After Scriabin gets his own body. “For a second let’s forget and pretend” feels very much like how they want to act, they want to have what they had even though they never can again - “Never thought we’d come to an end” is the first line! Wanting to hold each other, like nothing happened; especially Edgar, but Scriabin too. I think it could pair well with You Can’t Live Like This as well, they’re trying so hard not to turn that page!

Empty

Like I said the first time I mentioned this song, I’m still a little conflicted including such a personal song, but there are so many weirdly appropriate lines that it feels unavoidable to add it to my list. Since it talks about a voice arriving, it lines up almost perfectly with their relationship before they started being weird about each other, terribly hate filled. “Fill up on water and shame” and “Convince myself I’m in control and it’s not all the voice that makes me sick” especially stick out to me, as well as “empty” as a theme, Edgar’s mindscape is so blank! (Also if you watch the behind the scenes, there’s red yarn which is weird :0)

Beauty and the Beast

Well that’s a bit obvious, isn’t it lol. I only really started to consider it because of the minor key though, the way the tone twists and shifts with the new notes and mixing, ah it’s lovely. I especially like the way “Barely even friends, then somebody bends unexpectedly” hits, they’re always surprising each other! Bittersweet and strange indeed.

I want you to want me

Yet more minor key covers, yay. I was originally going to tie this one to mainfic, most specifically Edgar’s desire to get home from work to see Scriabin heh, but now there’s some interesting new layers with Manual Override, especially Scriabin trying to convince Edgar and himself. Scriabin is Scriabin no matter what though, so he’s always going to push for what he wants, in every context!

Toxic

A bit on the nose perhaps ♪ I think my mind was wandering while I was thinking about Once Again and it landed just long enough on this song to desperately want to give it a relisten, and whoops ♪ For whatever reason, Edgar drinking from “the Devil’s cup” really stood out as a strong image to me, either from his visit to Hell or redirecting those feelings onto Scriabin. Somehow this version really gives the vibe of them fully permeating each other, hateful and desiring and hard to pick apart.

The Devil’s Backbone

On recommendation, I have indeed added this one to my personal playlist! I was surprised, I’m usually so picky with my music but I could��not stop listening to it. It fits Edgar/Nny so well! That said, I can see Scriabin stealing a line as well now, “Somewhere between a hangman’s knot and three mouths to feed” with Edgar’s new life situation of Nny’s threat of death and living with Scriabin and Todd. The bridge is still completely Edgar tho, that absolute desperation is so good.

Stand By You

Ngl, I almost cried listening and recontextualizing this one, the line “If your wings are broken, borrow mine so yours can open” just- agh. Also they never got to walk through Hell together so it only half works but I’ll take it! Probably especially relevant to the final chapter of You Can’t Live Like This, their little discussion sitting on the floor, pledging their lives to each other again fdjsalkfdsf

Monster

I can’t but imagine a bouncy Scriabin gloating about how he was made, “Feed me your negativity, talk some more about me ♪” Too bad it’s Monster rather than Demon eh! “I see how you’re going crazy, always thinkin’ ‘bout me” works rather well too, there’s a lot of lines that suit him! He’s so insufferable haha. The bridge is quite good too, “It could’ve been so different between us, then you went and messed everything up.” He’s always blaming Edgar!

Kitchen Fork

I’ve wanted something of Jack Conte’s for a while now, there’s so much chaotic energy in all his songs. I feel like this one and Bloody Nose both really suit Violation, there’s a really lovely disjointed energy, though I think Kitchen Fork works more generally. “Wake from the scar” and “Save us from our own two heads” are both really great lines for Edgar especially, and the rising violins are so unnerving.

The Mind Electric

I drew to this one quite early but it wasn’t until I started thinking about it a bit harder that I realized just how well it works, especially with Diaryfic/Hospitalfic. Much like with Stay, I can imagine this one working well as an animatic, it’s all very evocative of imagery. Would Scriabin be the “Lord” or would the doctors? Hmm. “Doctor, I can’t tell if I’m not me” continues to be a great line for both of them.

Manipulate

Nate needs to stop with making literally every song so adaptable, I can’t keep giving away my heart like this. Another song that switches POV from verse to verse, starting with Edgar and then with Scriabin: “Find somebody else to call your home.” “You stab me in the back and then you make demands! You say it’s only you? I got another plan.” “Maybe you could torture someone else.” “Maybe I don’t have the strength to follow you Hell.” I cry okay. I can’t just list all the lyrics, they’re all too good.

Digimon Adventure 02 (Blind Watch) - Episode 17

Wait...I literally just remembered that the parents (plus a bunch of other people) saw all the digital world stuff by the final episode of season 1. What exactly is the IRL awareness of digimon?? The kids have to hide that they're going to the digital world from their parents, but maybe that's more because it's dangerous? Or was there some memory wipe thing I'm forgetting about. (This ramble triggered by a line in the dub where Matt says "Don't tell me Myotismon destroyed the studio again!?" to his dad...)

Anyway, putting my confusion aside, I really enjoyed this one. It had the good kind of callbacks instead of some cheap repeats. It was especially nice to see the S1 kids finally sit down with the new kids and tell their story. Probably should have done that already by now, but better late than never!

There was...no battle in this one?? Wild...

Notes:

-I think the movie director in the beginning of the episode had the same VA as Joe. Low key distracting.

-I liked the concept of not just a ghost being caught on camera, but a ghost that changes its movements every time you play the video back. Not sure I've seen that done before...

-I sighed a small sigh of relief when we got hat!Mimi back. More importantly, her ridiculous pink/starry hair is gone! I hope this isn't just a temporary change. She looks really cute with pig tails

-Didn't really think about the difference between living with a single dad vs. a single mom until Takeru and Yamato had a discussion about it. Is every single mom in this series a homemaker...? (Nothing wrong with that, but it would be awkward if there wasn't at least one mom with a job).

-They censored the curry in the dub lol. American kids in the early 2000s didn't know what curry was I guess

-This episode featured a bunch of MD players to the point where it felt suspiciously like an ad. I had to google what an MD was and it's a mini-disc (like GameCube game sized). Of course, they just called it a "CD player" in the dub

-Dead at the dub line "Don't mind him dad, he's just not a happy little buffalo!" LOL (American kids also don't know what sutras are apparently)

-They addressed a question I had in my earlier post about how they were stuck using the computer lab to enter the digi-world. Koushiro finally figured out that they could connect from any computer and that the D3 device was more important. (Honestly, they should have thought of this sooner, but I guess everyone's busy with school lol).

-It felt kind of weird to me how Wizarmon was showing up on TV to get Tailmon's attention, but we never really see the kids watching TV or catching any of these appearances. They kinda just stumble across him instead because Tailmon's Wizarmon's senses start tingling. Oh well, all's well that ends well...

-Very rare episode where there's no battle and the digimon only evolve to their rookie forms. I feel like this shows that the writers trusted the kids enough to sit through an episode without all the usual stuff, so that's nice.

-I'm going to go ahead and qualify this as a Halloween episode because ooky spooky

-Wizarmon continues Gennai's tradition of giving super vague and unhelpful information. Thanks for nothing! (I guess he was mainly hinting that Ken is a victim of "the darkness." Okay, Kingdom Hearts...)

I love to draw! I have been doing so for about 10 years now, and I'm not thinking of stopping anytime soon! 5 y/o me made the right choice to copy my sister with doing art as well >:)

I also love to play video games hehe- I prefer singleplayer, but I can do multi if I play with friends! Especially for stuff like Identity V- I'm not going in without at least one other person! That being said, my fav genres atm would probably be RPGs, Indies and horror! Horror doesn't give me the scares at all but it's amusing nonetheless!

I also really really love listening to music! I cannot go without it since I don't like it when theres a lot of people talking (either in general or to me)- my fav genre will always be Jazz or honestly Breakcore ATM!! It does the scritch scratchy on my brain well...

Oh and I also roleplay a lot I GUESS- I just have so many characters what would I ever do with them!!

I would say that I'm a fairly decent writer, I can definitely write a good few at most 10k character long response-

Derek seems a lot calmer than i expected. Him just out here casually breaking Scott's hand and the calm in his voice when he says "It'll heal".

This man is tired of dealing with this whinny teenager, poor Scott. But Derek's face when he does it, its like he doesnt want to hurt scott but he thinks its the best way to teach him.

Also Stiles is 100% more involved and worried about the werewolf stuff than Scott, like Stiles has his priorities straight (might be the only straight thing about him lol), even though hes not even a werewolf. Like, when Stiles goes to check up on Lydia, he asks about the "Mountain Lion" business first, not at all like Scott when he needed the Wolfsbane bullet from Allison.

Kate makes me want to curl up and cry but then we immediately get some Hoechlin eye candy so i feel a little better. Also the workOUT MUSICC ISTG-

Aw Jackie bby nooo. I know he's been a dick but hes just a sweetie, the poor kid. Just this scene of him crying and losing his cool, trying over and over and failing at getting the ball in, breaking down in the end. Too sad, and it really hit close to home.

Lydia getting her shit together was honestly motivating. This girl, i really can't handle her sometimes, but she is a queen honestly just for being able to pick herself up. At the end of the day, she trying to live in this world, she's just more viscious and and motivated to get to the top. Hearing the way her paremts spoke about her, and Lyds putting her perfect, cold, unaffected face on in the mirror made me feel like "This girl KNOWS what they must be saying, but she is sitting here with a little smile because she KNOWS she has proven them wrong". And that. That is admirable.

Also coach cupcake is the best and Sheriff Stilinski always ready to back his boy up. The similairities between Stiles and his dad has me wanting to give a standing ovation to both actors. You can just tell the characters are related in the way they speak and their facial expressions

1) what’s your go to comfort food?

Honestly, probably ice cream? Somehow I feel like ice cream isn't exactly a "comfort food" though? Like somehow comfort food in my brain should be savory? This is going to sound SO tumblr-y but if I'm going savory it might be my mom's version of lentil soup (not that I make it often, even if its not hard) - or some kind of hearty stew - thick and warm - and either it has noodles in it OR you eat it with bread - comfort food has ALL THE CARBS - ALL OF THEM.

11) have you tried anything new lately? if so, what?

Uh... good question... Have I?... Don't think I have tried any new foods.. Um, depends on how recent "lately" is I guess?? Doing the whole exercise on the recumbent stepper thing is new kinda - about a couple months old now I guess maybe? Been bullet journaling for just about two and a half months - that sorta a little new? Getting my nails done with dip powder - been doing that now for about a month and a half or so? Oh! this will kinda go with the next question, but i've been on a bit of a perfume kick and have tried a couple new ones marc jacobs perfect (parfum), gucci guilty absolute pour femme, and viktor & rolf's flowerbomb ruby orchid (which i was surprised to like as i hate the original flowerbomb but this version has NO patchouli - and that's why i like it. I cannot stand the smell of patchouli - blech.) I think it's the appeal of pretty bottles on a dresser and also enjoying options for scents - plus they make me feel pretty... Though a lot of days I still use my go to combo (tocca's isabel + pinrose's secret genius)

13) favourite candle scent?

Dani Naturals' passionfruit scented candle. Honestly, that thing smells divine. It's so good. I burned through one and I hardly ever do that. I also love back road candle company's orange citrus candle. I like some light floral scents, some watery/clean ones too, and then there are times only a sweet/spicy scent will do - the holiday candle this last christmas from NEST was nice (i got a very small one and it lasted nicely and the scent throw was great.)

21) where do you go to relax?

If I could travel more I'd tell you the northern oregon coast (where the mountains meet the sea) or maybe the costwolds.. But as it is, I am more likely to just retreat into my bedroom and lounge or if I want to get out a bit, i now live close to the river in town and I go down to a park by the river. Even if I just sit in my car when it's cold - it's lovely to see the light on the water or the snow... It's peaceful there. I'd either head there or a place on my old side of town where there's a park with a reservoir or another spot with a sweet little woodland trail that goes over a little babbling stream... Places that aren't dramatic, but offer sweet bits of respite. I amm happy in bookstores and art museums too :) always those places.

I watch a whole bunch of the youtubez. I like history related peoples (mostly costume related but some not) ala bernadette banner, zack pinsent, morgan donner, cathy hay, sewstine, a janeite sews, abby cox annnd reading the past ( with dr kat), smarthistory, the mrs crocombe victorian way videos, plus documentary stuff like that's on odyssey or perspective. I'm a slut for art history documentaries that were probably originally on the bbc. I also LOVE me some drag race content- so stuff on wow presents, i watch stuff from the rupaul's drag race shannel, I am a total trixie mattel stan so stuff from her channel and then sometimes other drag stuff - my hometown is where Nina West is from so yeah... I have a couple yarn/crochet/knitting people I watch - TL Yarn Crafts (again from mah hometown), crochet guru, and drowning in yarn... I watch some ASMR content people (library of whispers, goodnight moon, ediyasmr, phonobabble (though i'm not as sure where to put his content exactly categorically)... Then there are the makeup people: wayne goss, lisa eldridge, michelle wang, jessica braun, tarababyz, also trixie mattel (because her makeup line is kick ass), cate the great beauty (because she's hilarious), theresa is dead (also hilarious and excellent), marlena stell (aka makeupgeek), and good ol kandee johnson... Then there are the food & drink people: emmymade, beryl shereshewsky (who if peoplehaven't seen go and watch - she is great!), anders erickson, rick bayless, nino's home, sorted food, how to drink, you suck at cooking... Then there are the idk - random fun things: vlogbrothers, the girl with the dogs, npr for tiny desk music content, royalty soaps... And probably others that I am not thinking of atm. I feel like I watch a decent but pretty selective cross section of YT... I am not interested in a whole lot of drama from influencers so i try and stay away from people i feel create that stuff... I'm watching to learn some things usually - either historically/art wise or about products or techniques... Or I am watching just to relax and entertain myself.

Optigami Review + A big rant on Cat noir in season 4

Alright, I haven't been really active on Tumblr lately mainly because of school and all the work I've been receiving, but this is the one time I can post so just bear with me lmao.

*SPOILERS AHEAD*

Optigami Review:

Honestly love Ladybee, her transformation did look a bit rough, but her suit looks stunning. Too bad Cat noir didn't get to see it.

Kind of lost as to why there's only Luka, Kagami, Max, Chloe, and the other miraculous holders that Shadowmoth knew the identities of, did Gabriel just ask Adrien those specific people, and Adrien just, did not find anything suspicious about that?

Did Adrien just not question as to why Kaalki, the kwami of teleportation, was there with Rena Rouge?? And why Kaalki even teleported him somewhere so far to the Montparnasse Tower even though he's literally Cat noir and needed to fight??

Why were the kwamis magically able to be heard on the phone?? I thought they weren't able to be seen in technology, the phone is technology... So why were they heard??

Now for Alya. Honestly, she did seem a bit suspicious earlier because she wanted to be a permanent holder even though it's not the wisest decision and then completely acted like everything was fine after saying "It's your choice tho" and then immediately got to be a permanent miraculous holder... Seems like she wanted to cover her plans up by seeming sincere and then got her chance. Foreshadowing? Even if I love Alya in general, I do love some betrayal plot twist stories.

Mari is not making the right decision because, it will be okay for a moment, but Shadowmoth literally knows who Rena Rouge is. And at the end of the episode, we see him wanting to get to know Alya better. Alya is going to be in danger. This is going to affect Ladynoir. I mean, yea, I want angst but still.

Overall, I rate this episode a 7.5/10. It was impactful, we got to see Cat noir upset about not being needed, but there were also some questionable things in this episode like I mentioned previously. Other than that it was a decent episode and for once I liked Shadowmoths plan tbh.

So there's been a ton of people talking about "Cat noir is being replaced by Rena Rouge!" and all that... I just have one question, why? Why are you so upset over the fact that Rena was here for like, what, two episodes? And then saying she's replacing him? It's as if you're living in Cat noirs mind lmao. I swear I saw at least 12 videos in the span of two days after the release of Optigami saying how upset Cat noir is and how they're bashing Rena for it as if it's entirely her fault for getting to be a permanent miraculous holder and about to be replaced as the next Guardian of the miraculous box. Look, if you despise any girl that's getting more screentime over a DEUTERAGONIST, just say you're misogynistic and go. I don't mean to sound controversial, but what's up with you hating and bashing on girls that "Get in the way" of something that you cherish and baby (Ex. 'Kagami gets in the way of adrienette, Rena is replacing Cat noir, Vesperia is a replacement of Chloe and gets in the way of Ladynoir' who, may I remind you, is a racist rich girl and Cat can like anyone he wants so shut it)

Now back to the main subject, yes, you can be upset over what's happening to Cat noir, but that doesn't give you the right to completely bash the girls who have nothing to do with hurting him unintentionally (BTW, Ladybug is the one who is hurting him by not telling him anything, still doesn't mean you should hate on her, you can talk about it but bullying her over- dramatic; this is a kid show for god's sake). I am upset about Cat noir, but it's clear that the writers are planning something with him, as I will talk more about in the rest of this post.

There have been tons of foreshadowing in the past episodes about Adrien/Cat noir, so let me talk about it.

I'll start with Truth. In Truth, Cat noir gets hit by the spell, and Ladybug asks him his opinion on her role as Guardian of the Miraculous Box. He then says "If it doesn't change things between you and me, then I'm good with it!". But things are changing, and he's clearly not okay, this was some good foreshadowing I did not notice earlier lmao. This was a good part on the writers job.

In Mr. Pigeon 72, the end card is quite interesting. Practically all the photos of Adrien in this end card are of him wearing his blue scarf. When it wasn't even mentioned in this episode. Even if it wasn't said, it actually is still there. In Bubbler, when Adrien arrives to school, Nino says "Wow dude, guess adults can really change!" This line is effective to Adrien. The moment he got the scarf and apparently it was from his father, he was so happy. From the scarf, he thinks his father can change. He thinks his father is just demanding and over protective. He thinks his father just "Doesn't know how to show his love for his son" Even though, us, the audience, knows thats not true. Adrien is not blind. From the scarf, that's what's making Adrien keep on thinking his father isn't bad. And in Mr. Pigeon 72, he literally tells Marinette the moment he wants to walk with her in the rain and then sees the gorilla, "I can't, you know my father, he's demanding." Even though that's not the case. So why was it included in the end card? Foreshadowing that there will be a scarf reveal. Foreshadowing that Adrien will find out the truth. Even if the truth isn't always great.

Now for Solecrusher. I picked this scene because, I find it really upsetting. When Zoe was opening up to everyone talking about how she made different roles to please Chloe, and when Ivan hugs Zoe, Adrien is upset. Why? Because he relates to her. He makes different roles of himself or different personalities, to please everyone. That's why he's upset.

Now for the end card. Here's a little close-up. We see Adrien, Ivan, Juleka, Luka, and Rose. However, Adrien is farther from the others. He stills feels isolated and stuck. While everyone else is happy. He stills feels the need to pretend. Which is making Adrien feel worse.

This isn't specifically about Adrien, but I kind of see a little pattern here. Solecrusher shows Andre is the one who made Solitude. Queen Banana shows a movie being made. What's the next episode? Gabriel Agreste. This episode will probably be all about flashbacks. About the movie Solitude. About Emilie. Showing Gabriel, Emilie, and Adrien younger. I honestly think that Gabriel and Adriens relationship is still as bad, I just think that even if Adrien claims it was better before.

This was honestly the episode I felt the worse for Adrien. He nearly killed himself and Ladybug didn't even talk about it after. Now, I know Ladybug wouldn't know what to say, but she should at least speak up?? I mean that's all I want tbh. The end card seems.. Off. Adrien is not included even though he had a big role in comforting Juleka in the beginning of the episode. Cat noir is shown to be, smiling.. But the smile doesn't even seem genuine. He's still upset. He's still not okay. Foreshadowing that he's feeling even worse than before.

Optigami. Holy this episode. Well I already rated it before but yea. Take a look at his facial expressions. He's upset he wasn't even in the battle (Meaning he wasn't never happy with the fact that he's sometimes not even needed in fights like Style Queen), he's angry, shocked/disappointed, then pretends he's the same old Cat noir with the flirty jokes, but the moment Ladybug leaves with her superhero allies (Still questioning why she even left tho; Shadowmoth knows those identities yet Cat noir doesn't..) And Cat noir is just upset. I couldn't take the exact frame of him alone but I see him looking all moody and sad. He's now pretending to be fine as Cat noir. Which is not getting any better, but more angsty lol.

As I saw all the foreshadowing in this season, the writers seem to be isolating Adrien even more. And after the scarf reveal, I'm pretty sure he's going to pretend to be fine with that too. I feel like a lot is going to happen to him. Maybe even him possibly becoming a.. Villain? What? In Queen Banana, it shows the hero of creation, and the villain of destruction. Could mean something. Other than that, I've been thinking about a lot of angsty fake scenarios of Adrien lately lol.. Back to the subject, the possible breakdown or conflict between Ladynoir would happen in season 4. It's the most logical time.

Oh hi Vi!!

Yeah I’m alright!! My only plans for tonight ((since it’s 21:45 for me)) are gonna be playing online with my cousin until the god forsaken hours of the morning - plans ((or well, a plan [singular])) I made this morning and am now regretting because as I found out/was reminded a couple hours ago: my mum starts her new NHS placement thingy this week meaning I have to be up at 10am to take care of the dogs. Something I’m not looking forward to as I’m probably not gonna be in bed until something stupid like four-

I would just cancel my plans but I hate doing so and I’ve also been lookin forward to this all morning and I can’t bring myself to do so, so I’m just gonna have to hope for the best and soldier on - yay.

Altho If I hadn’t been doing this, I’d probably of instead been up till similar hours watching Ben 10 themed videos on YouTube, because alas what is life without hyperfixations on shows your both too old for and ended years ago

And I am well aware of the Ben 10 reboot, but I refuse to acknowledge that. Like, I guess I could’ve forgiven it for rebooting the show but I just don’t like how childlike it is. I mean, in hindsight the original shows probably weren’t meant for teenagers either but still I can’t even watch the reboot on account of its simplicity. No hate to anyone who watches it and is older than the recommended age group, but it just isn’t for me.

On top of that they ruined some of the coolest aliens!!! Stinkfky and wildvine basically became human reskins as opposed to weird creepy aliens ((in the OG art style that is)), plus where are ripjaws, ghostfreak and wildmutt? Because when I last checked they weren’t even in the show!! I’m hoping things have since changed and that the characters have been readded, but it’s hard to say with the amount of stuff that comes up when you Google about it what’s clickbait and what’s legit!!!

Then there’s Max. Grandpa Max that is. He used to be this cool old man who was friends with aliens and even dated one at onepoint ((I forgot whether they’re still together it’s been ages since I watched the OG series unfortunately :( )) but now he just kinda seems to be a background character half the time. I mean I’ve seen him do a bit in the reboot, but he’s nowhere near as cool nor ((character))developed as he used to be and that makes me smad ((sad+mad))

But I’m sorry, I kinda ended up ranting here when all you wanted to know was how I was doing and not my entire life story so sorry about that 😅
