A senior United Nations “climate change” official has been secretly filmed discussing negotiations for business deals that profit from fossil fuels.

A senior official at COP29 climate change conference in Azerbaijan appears to have used his role to arrange a meeting to discuss potential fossil fuel deals, the BBC can report. A secret recording shows the chief executive of Azerbaijan's COP29 team, Elnur Soltanov, discussing "investment opportunities" in the state oil and gas company with a man posing as a potential investor. "We have a lot of gas fields that are to be developed," he says. A former head of the UN body responsible for the climate talks told the BBC that Soltanov's actions were "completely unacceptable" and a "betrayal" of the COP process. As well as being the chief executive of COP29, Soltanov is also the deputy energy minister of Azerbaijan and is on the board of Socar. Azerbaijan's COP29 team has not responded to a request for comment. Oil and gas accounts for about half of Azerbaijan's total economy and more than 90% of its exports, according to US figures. COP29 will open in Baku on Monday and is the 29th annual UN climate summit, where governments discuss how to limit and prepare for climate change, and raise global ambition to tackle the issue.

Soltanov has been using his role to secure meetings with potential investors in the country’s oil and gas sectors.

Energy production drives 60% of Azerbaijan’s economy.

According to PJ Media, Soltanov, Azerbaijan’s deputy energy minister and COP29 chief, was covertly recorded discussing investment opportunities in the state-owned SOCAR.

“SOCAR Trading is trading oil and gas all over the world, including in Asia,” he was caught on tape saying.

“To me, these are the possibilities to explore.

“But in any case, this is something that you need to be talking to SOCAR, and I would be happy to create a contact between yourself and them.”

He added: “We have a lot of gas fields that are to be developed.”

Azerbaijan contemplating new challenge on floating solar energy plant with ADB deputy minister

BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 6. Azerbaijan is contemplating a brand new challenge on the development of a floating photo voltaic energy plant with the Asian Improvement Financial institution (ADB), Deputy Minister of Vitality of Azerbaijan Elnur Soltanov stated, Development studies. He made the comment through the Azerbaijan Nationwide City Discussion board on the ‘Sustainable Improvement Targets and the New City Agenda – as the main pressure for restoration and reconstruction within the post-conflict interval’ matter. W dniach 7-11 sierpnia na zaproszenie Monasteru Zwiastowania NMP w Supraślu z wizytą w Polsce przebywali hierarchowie z zagranicy: metropolita Rusen Naum (Patriarchat Bułgarski) oraz biskup szachtowski i milerowski Szymon (Patriarchat Moskiewski). Hierarchom towarzyszyli ich sekretarze: archimandryta Atanas Soltanov (Bułgaria) i ks. Aleksandr Teliczkin (Rosja).

Głównym punktem wizyty zagranicznych delegacji był udział w uroczystościach święta Supraskiej Ikony Bogurodzicy w dniach 9-10 sierpnia, którym przewodniczył metropolita warszawski i całej Polski Sawa. Goście zapoznali się z życiem Cerkwi w Polsce. 

Odwiedzili monastery w Zwierkach, Grabarce, Sakach, Zaleszanach oraz świątynie prawosławne w Warszawie, Białymstoku i Bielsku Podlaskim.

Wizytę gości w Supraskim Monasterze zwieńczyła niedzielna Św. Liturgia (11 sierpnia) sprawowana wspólnie przez trzech hierarchów – metropolitę Nauma, biskupa Szymona i biskupa supraskiego Andrzeja.

Ah, so - I’ve had several asks/comments to this effect, so I’m going to borrow what I replied then and replicate it here, if that’s alright:

“What actually happened is that Yuuri sustained a reality in which both Victor and him were themselves, and had their gifts, and layered the reality of Soltanov and Daisuke on top of that. Think: a bubble within a bubble, with Victor and Yuuri in the inner bubble! On a very basic level, we have Yuuri straining to keep track of which is which.”

It’s also worth bearing in mind that Victor’s an empath, which means he can both manipulate emotions and sense them. So if we're seeing Yuuri's POV, and we can feel the poor bb's palpable distress and dissociation, who knows what Victor feels? ;)(Basically: cue all the angst.)
