Sunday Six: opening the vault
I ain't written in a minute but I don't want to lapse on S6 for two weeks in a row, soooo have some gay Star Wars OC fun if you like! I've been wrangling some of my old stuff together to post. Most of it is sort of rambling episodes without much of a storyline, so I've been trying to organize it all. You don't really need to know anything about SW to enjoy this. It's mostly just homoerotic teasing.

Hobbs stood outside Joiner’s quarters, working up the gumption to knock. It had been a few days since the incident in the transport, and in the chaos, Hobbs hadn’t had a chance to give Joiner his blaster back. He hadn’t even seen Joiner for more than a few minutes since then. Gaius had been keeping him busy, but Hobbs heard Joiner had finally gotten a break.
Perhaps he should just leave the blaster by the door. Joiner would be sure to get it when he left. Then again, this crew was not made up of scrupulous types—and anyone could come along and take it. Especially those of the crew fortunate enough not to be as familiar with Joiner.
He sighed. No, do the right thing, he told himself.
He raised his hand to knock on the door when it slid open on its own. Hobbs blinked at the open door, and saw Joiner on his bed, sitting up against the headboard, throwing darts. He was shirtless and barefoot, although thankfully he still wore his trousers. Hobbs couldn’t help the way his gaze fell over Joiner, enjoying in a distant sort of way Joiner’s muscular but stout form. Hobbs always did have a thing for guys with a little extra to them.
Unfamiliar music was playing quietly, made up of what sounded like high-pitched flutes, fiddles, and some sort of pipe Hobbs had never heard before.
Joiner glanced at Hobbs as he threw his last dart. “Wonderin’ if ya were gonna just stand out there all day,” he said. He stretched out his hand and the darts flew back into his grasp. It was still quite astounding to Hobbs to see even such a simple display of Force powers.
Hobbs stepped into the room. “I just wanted to return this,” Hobbs said, holding out the blaster.
Joiner glanced at it, then threw a dart. It hit the bullseye. “Put it on the desk, will ya, Space Cadet?” he said.
Hobbs did as he was told, but turned to Joiner with a huff. “Will you stop calling me Space Cadet?” he said, trying to sound more commanding.
Joiner threw another dart. Hit the target dead-on again. “The hell else am I gonna call ye?”
“My name, perhaps?” Hobbs responded.
“Your name?” He threw the final dart. It landed between the other two. “Laddie, I don’t call people I like by their proper names.”
Hobbs started. “You…like me?”
Joiner reached over and picked up a glass bottle of whiskey that had been resting on an end table, taking a long drink from it. He gave no answer.
“Th-then why do you pick on me?” Hobbs demanded.
Joiner sighed. He reached out and the darts flew back to him. “Yer just a skinny little greenhorn. Ye gotta cut yer teeth somehow.”
Hobbs glared, but said nothing in response.
The music swelled into a crescendo. Hobbs recognized the melody. It was the tune Joiner always whistled. Even now, Joiner hummed along quietly as he threw the darts again. It was surreal to see Joiner like this, as Hobbs had only ever seen him stalking around the ship like a caged jaguar. Part of him wasn’t certain that this was that same man.
“I’ve got to get back to work,” Hobbs said. Joiner took another drink of his whiskey and didn’t say anything.
Hobbs headed toward the door, but as he got to the threshold, Joiner called to him, “’Ey, Space Cadet.” Hobbs turned and nearly screamed when one of the darts came flying at him. It stopped just mere centimeters in front of his eye and stayed there for a second in frozen momentum before it returned to Joiner’s hand. Joiner started laughing as Hobbs recovered from the fright.
Hobbs glared at him. “That’s not funny,” he growled.
“Yer fuckin’ face!” Joiner said, his laughter deepening.
Cheeks burning, Hobbs turned and left Joiner’s quarters, but Joiner’s laughter echoed in his mind the rest of the day.

some ppl very kindly loredumped abt the organa-solo kids for me so gonna put that + responses below the cut!! ↓
@erkhyan asked:
Don’t mind me, just dropping some Organa Solo kids lore, hopefully summarized enough. Anakin: both motivated and intimidated by the fact that his name was supposed to redeem that of his grandpa. Had his grandpa’s qualities (excellent pilot, great warrior, very strong in the Force) but none of his negative trait. Traumatized by being unable to save Chewie. Died a hero at age 16 during a successful mission to destroy a Jedi-killing weapon. Jacen: a big, empathetic goof as a teen, but was traumatized by the war that killed Anakin. The war and the trauma of Anakin’s death turned him into an introspective monk who went to learn weird non-Jedi Force powers. Returned, fathered a secret daughter, fell to the Dark Side because the Force told him that every timeline in which he’s not a Sith ends badly for his daughter. Became a Sith Lord by killing mara jade Skywalker. Eventually died when he found himself having to choose between saving his daughter from an Imperial plot, and dodging his sister’s lightsaber. Jaina: best pilot, best lightsaber user, best warrior, earned the nickname of Sword of the Jedi. Unfortunately, people mostly remember the fact that she was stuck in the world’s most annoying love triangle for two decades in-universe. And that time she processed the trauma of Anakin’s death by trying to seduce her Jedi Master. And that time she was in a bug hivemind that tried to solve her love triangle with a sexy threesome. And that time she went to train under Boba Fett so that she could kill Jacen in Luke’s stead. And also because the Jedi Order finally recognizing that she should have been a made a Master years ago, was almost the LAST thing that happened in the Legends continuity. Heavily implied that her husband would have eventually become Emperor (but a good one) if the continuity had been allowed to go on.
CHEWIE DIED??????????? also christ thats a lot to put on poor lil anakin jr-- ALSO AGAIN. POOR LEIA. HASNT SHE BEEN THRU ENOUGH (poor han too but LEIA)
WHY ARE THERE MORE STAR WARSES!!! LEAVE THEM ALONE!! a secret daughter hi i love those but AGAIN. POOR LEIA. A SITH. FR HE KILLED MARA JADE WHAT???????????? oh my god.
i support jaina's turboslaggery she's been thru so much also WHAT potential emperor husband????????? wow ok legends gets wilder n wilder

@novastargalaxydesigns asked:
I saw your Jacen, Jaina, and Anakin from Legends! And as someone who freaking adores that trio, I'd love to help point out a few things! In Legends of the Force, Jacen starts to affiliate himself with the Dark Side with his cousin, Ben, as his apprentice. Anakin was killed before the book, The Joiner King, and I didn't get the book that he was killed off in, but if I remember correctly, it was told in The Joiner King that he was killed during a mission as a fighter pilot. Jaina, in Legends of the Force I believe if I remember correctly, she gave up being a Jedi to be a pilot. I don't have all of the Legends of the Force books so I may be a bit spiffy on a few things. But we cannot forget Chewbacca's nephew, Lowbacca aka Lowie, and Jacen's childhood and teen hood crush, Tenel Ka whom is a princess and he accidentally cut her hand off with his new lightsaber during the book Young Jedi Knights Lightsabers. And Zekke who went to the dark side in the series Young Jedi Knights (I only got the first 3), but was redeemed. Anyone please correct my nerdiness if I'm wrong. But anygays, you has been educated by a fluffy bean. Had a lovely day!
JACEN CORRUPTS LUKE'S KID??????? HUH?????? CAN THE SKYWALKERS NOT CATCH LIKE. ONE SINGLE BREAK FROM THE DARKSIDE EVER???????? PLEASE
sorry all i can think w the tenel ka thing is:

@m0th-person asked:
To follow up on the solo kids ask, Jaina had a weird love life. Her love interest that she eventually married was Jagged Fel. He is the son of the former baron of the empire , Sootir Fel, and Syal Antilles-Fel (Wedge Antilles sister) . (a picture I found on Wookieepedia when he was imperial head of state, the white streak in the hair seems to be genetic) Jag grew up in Thrawn’s empire of the hand (and was grown up with the chiss expectations, that’s literally the second quote on his wookieepedia page)
he had 3 out of his 5 other siblings die. He eventually became the imperial head of state (he first lost to his rival political candidate for the role because abeloth messed with it) and flash forward to the legacy comics, his descendants have revamped the imperial remnant into the Fel Empire. It’s mostly believed that his descendants are also Jaina’s because both Roan fel and his daughter empress Marasiah Fel are both force sensitive. And Jacen Solo’s descendant , Ania Solo, says she’s a distant cousin of Marasiah. (Roan)
(Marasiah and her love interest) ( the imperial knights were grey Jedi that served the Fel empire) — and in legends Han actually had a family tree (ancestors, specifically, Jonash e solo (who was Corellian royalty and the admiral-prince during the old republic time period)) , and him and Jagged fel’s father used to rivals in the imperial academy. Darth Vader attended his class graduation and I only find this funny because Han became his son-in-law.
jaina was rlly living that booktok enemies to lovers life back in the 90s huh. go girl i love her and support her weird love life decisions so much
omg go han having fancy royalty ties <3 see hanleia IS politically advantageous
#legends sounds like it's a terrible time for every character involved#star wars legends#thanks for the ask!

uhhh hi, long time listener first time caller! where do you think da sinclair learned all the knowledge and skills necessary to design and build the reanimen? classes, textbooks, obsessively scouring niche sources at the library? did he ever get mentored by an older scientist or something?
i haven’t read the comics so sorry if this is explained in those, but I would love to hear your headcanons about young da sinclair!
thank you so much, listener! sorry this took so long. they don't explain hardly anything about him in the comics but that's where i come in
i do think his skills are largely self-taught and self-researched. he is absolutely a "scouring niche sources at the library" kind of guy. he loves libraries. he attended a few different schools over the years, both public and private, none of which were ever a good fit for his intelligence and standards (and behavioral issues). he was never really in one place long enough to join a robotics club or anything like that. not that he's much of a joiner
early on he was sort of mentored by his father, who was absolutely not a scientist but had a bit of mechanical knowledge and supported his ambition. father sinclair set up a little workspace for d.a. in the attic and would bring him scrap parts and thrifted electronics to work with. of course they would occasionally go to the garage and mess with The Car as well
otherwise there was a lot of solo experimentation. d.a. greatly enjoyed taking objects apart and putting them back together and seeing what connected to where. he'd offer to fix electronics or bicycles for other kids on the street (whether or not they were actually broken in the first place). i think he also liked building models - lots of tiny intricate pieces fitting together
tying into my headcanon that the sinclair parents owned a mortuary and d.a. practically grew up there: it was easy for him to become desensitized and perceive the human body, especially the dead one, as a "thing". he saw the interplay of flesh and machinery early on with things like the embalming machine or even the device used to wire the corpses' mouths shut.
he became obsessed with medical technology, in particular, around age 13 after having surgery for an aortic valve defect. he had a lot of time to read after that. he'd take home anatomy books, obsessively study and copy diagrams from them. he'd fill journals with notes and sketches of prosthetics and medical implants - some for saving lives, some just to improve efficiency, all a bit unconventional in design. always room for improvement
he eventually started submitting the better ones (along with impassioned essays) to scientific magazines. these weren't the same designs he'd end up using on the reanimen later, due to lack of resources, of course. but this is what started getting the attention of the sort of people who give out genius grants
he should have been properly mentored by someone, really, but he's not much of a listener either.

Animal Trees em: estilhaço de contrastes - PARTE I
Animal Trees, projeto do capixaba Vitor Toledo, mescla elementos do eletrônico, rock, noise e ambient em loops hipnotizantes. Faz shows em diversos pontos de Vitória (ES) e integra as bandas Desvio, Laika no Espaço, Tarde Mais Densa, Cross the Ocean e Loopspace
Quais você geralmente busca despertar no público?

Music Monday 5 New Releases: This Week's Must-Listen Tracks
This week brings a fresh wave of music from both established and upcoming artists. We've got dance-worthy tracks, heart-wrenching ballads, and even a touch of Halloween spirit. Let's dive into what you should be listening to this week. LLOREN captures the raw, transformative energy of chasing dreams in the heart of LA with new single! Lloren has definitely set something of a scene here, and it's not one that requires visuals, just your ears. Last Star gradually builds itself up layer by layer before finally giving it the all. A great song, already looking forward to the video Listen - Last Star in LA https://open.spotify.com/track/6py2lyAW3CFq1CIbfY4tEX?si=26883202c5db453e Live out all that you are with Veronica D'Souza's interpretive dance video for "Peaches In My Halo" Whilst I wouldn't go as to say that it oozes originality what I will say is that it makes great reference to the Tarantino classic Kill Bill and works by Kate Bush. I will say that it's outside the box thinking which I enjoy Watch - Peaches In My Halo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q6vnNDiS8yE Phil Mac serves up a menacing new Halloween hip-hop banger, 'Shiftin'! Certainly, something of an after dark feel to it and Phil just tells it like is and doesn't do the softly softly touch which I like. Now I don't mind strong language in music provided it's not for the sake of it but rather as an expressive release. Joiners In Edinburgh
Expert No woodworking or repair job is too big or too small for the Edinburgh joiners. Please adhere to this process to the best of your ability. Complete the task within the given time. I wish I could have made them friendlier.
Any time you're in need of a service in the Edinburgh area, give Edinburgh Joiners a call Home Renovation Edinburgh Only Edinburgh-based joiners give this option. If a joiner is required, Edinburgh is the ideal location to visit. It would be pointless to look elsewhere. We gave it our all the moment the conditions were satisfied. They are overjoyed by the number of compliments their Edinburgh website has received. Since 2009, the company's excellent carpentry and joinery services have made it famous throughout the Edinburgh area and beyond.
We officially began our company in 2009. During the premiere in 2009, I made my solo performance debut. We have assisted policyholders in filing claims for a wide variety of insured losses, including fire, flood, and disastrous remodels. No matter what happens, you can count on us to be there for you. We are here to help you with any of these endeavors. Get in touch with us right away if you're interested in any of our many services. The chance to collaborate with you is an opportunity that will last a lifetime, so you can depend on us no matter what. Our crew of professional joiners can handle any project, no matter how large or small. A comprehensive training program yielded the results. Please contact us if you are thinking about donating. Your convenience is our first priority, thus our customer support representatives are available 24/7. You will also find all the necessary resources here. Everyone pitches together to help a wounded family member. We are here to help you with any of these endeavors.Because of the help we were getting from their Edinburgh personnel, we had no choice but to hire their joiners. Consequently, shoppers will have a better chance of standing out.
The following are some of the most important things to have experts handle when organizing a bathroom remodel:The restoration's capacity to greatly alter the area's visual attractiveness is dependent on how it is carried out Water Damage Ceiling Repairs This will also be accurate after the problems are fixed. Perhaps we can revisit this once the repair is finished. Due to its high traffic, many people consider the bathroom to be an extension of their bedroom. This theory is supported by the design of the restroom. These are only a handful of the several compelling arguments in favor of installing a bathroom in every home. Expert joiners in Edinburgh have seen it all when it comes to bathroom remodels. Regardless of the scope of the project, they consistently deliver top-notch results. After finishing what they had begun, they were sure they could handle anything. New layout design is just one of their several responsibilities. They have a lot of stuff, but this is the most obvious. If you're fortunate, they may even recommend brand-new, high-quality furnishings and appliances for your room. Just to name a few instances, they provide an extensive range of services. To meet the specific needs of each client, they offer a wide range of additional professional services. Rest assured, we will not rest until the bathroom meets all of your expectations, be they aesthetic or practical. In this way, we can achieve our main objective. Keep your mind on a single task at a time if you want to get anything done.
The scientific community is always looking for new solutions to mitigate the effects of extreme weather. Remember that our purpose is to assist you in recovering from any disaster, be it fire, mold, or water, when you select an insurance policy. At this very moment, our Edinburgh joiners are ready to assist you. It was incredibly foolish to make that choice after a natural disaster had already occurred. No matter what happens, you can count on our steadfast support. Quickly completing repairs while still following policy criteria is made possible through our wide network in the insurance business. Because of this, we guarantee a speedy response to your claims. Efficient and equitable claim compensation is our top priority as a firm. No matter how severe the damage is, our skilled artisans will restore your treasured possession. Most stories revolve around the protagonist's emotions right before a major event. Clients who are truly thankful have sent us numerous touching letters of appreciation over the years. You need to get on top of either "repairing structural and aesthetic issues" or "restoring damaged properties to their original state" right away.

First time to hike as a solo joiner and it's really a tough decision to make and a lot of things needs to be considered.
I just prayed for a travel buddy but God gave me travel buddies who are very considerate and awesome. The coordinator of this travel agency handled the team very well as we had an instant photographer and comedian which makes every hardest climb as light as possible.
I'm really grateful for this team as they never showed me that I'm just a joiner or "others" and I felt that as if we've been together for several hikes already.
This is really an unforgettable experience for me and I'll treasure this forever.

Credit card rewards app
Credit card rewards app
WEWARD
Project overview
Dedicated credit card reward app for you and your friends to achieve rewards together.
The Bank credit card department would like to start a loyalty program which able to grow customer loyalty by providing high quality rewards and services.
Weward is a credit card loyalty program infused with gamification and social media. Your rewards are now in a journey of different Chapters, each Chapter contains solo or group Challenges to win rewards.
My Contributions
This project started as an existing service revamp project. I am working with landing department colleagues to gather and review current customers’ spending patterns and rewards earnings. We discovered most customers would spend more than their average spending to achieve reward requirements.
I was inspired by the Bank tagline “ Together, we thrive” and curated spending challenges which required 2 or more participants to achieve the challenge across different spending categories.
As this project is in the POC stage, the new user journey I drafted only focuses on challenge gameplay and its rewards. I started user testing by inviting a few colleagues and giving them a quest card and subsequence quest cards when they achieved the goal. The gameplay feedback was positive as this is an opportunity to create great memories with their friends.
After the user testing, this project was handed over to the vendor to handle the entire app development. Gamification of the spending challenge concept has been adopted in the final app design. However, due to system limitations, the concept of 2 or more people joining in a challenge hasn’t been implemented.

⌃ Co-challenge gameplay journey
LOGIC
Game mechanics
Reward goes beyond traditional credit card reward apps by adding collaboration and gamification elements to its challenges which encourage users to team up and spend wisely whilst having fun with friends.
PROTOTYPE #1
Participants will receive a challenge tailored to their level with 3 elements: spending category, spending target & timeframe and team-up requirement.
TESTING #1
Some participants were less engaged which affected the overall gameplay.
REFINE & PROTOTYPE #2
The system identifies halted collaborative challenges and allows remaining participants to change to solo challenge (with updated target and timeframe.) By adding a quit challenge mechanism to avoid conflicts and stress on both the challenge initiator and joiner.
TESTING #2
Participants were able to swap to other friends’ challenges when they noticed the progress wasn’t as they expected which greatly enhanced the engagement. However, there’s a risk that participants might focus more on earning points and rewards and deviate from their usual spending pattern.
REFINE & PROTOTYPE #3
Adding challenges target ceiling restrictions and reminders on each participant and allow participants to share transaction history within the group.
TESTING #3
Participants appreciated the sense of community to achieve rewards together as well as promoting healthy credit card spending habits through challenges.
COMPONENTS
Quest cards & Rewards
The quest card mission is tailored to the customer’s spending pattern and the rewards also match their spending categories, such as a foodie customer’s rewards will be curated on food and drinks categories. When different spending category customers start a mission, the system also will expand the rewards categories to encourage them to use their credit card on different category merchants.
TESTING #1
Participants praised the co-challenge gameplay is innovative and it would be better if there’s an in-app communication to notify their co-challenger to achieve the target before the deadline.
REFINE #1
Proposed to add emoji based communicator within the ring progress indicator.
This rewards app also want to be a scrapbook to record you and your friends memories

Bertha Lee Pate (June 17, 1902 - May 10, 1975) like many aspiring blues singers, held a regular day job as a cook for local white families. At the age of sixteen, she met Charlie Patton who by that point (1918) was already a legendary blues singer in the region. They met at a club where Patton was performing, began an intense courtship, and soon the two were married. They settled in nearby Holly Ridge, Mississippi, and both began performing together in local clubs.
By this point, they had developed a volatile relationship. Charlie Patton was a womanizer, she remained faithful to him despite their often violent arguments about his infidelity.
In 1934 the couple made the long journey by bus and train to New York City to record together for the first time at the Paramount Records recording studio. For Charlie Patton, however, this would be his last recording session. Her recordings with her husband are the only documents left of her voice. She sang on twelve of his records, including the album, Masters of the Delta Blues: The Friends of Charlie Patton. As a consequence of the success of that album, Patton recorded three songs as a solo artist, “Yellow Bee,” “Dog Train Blues,” and “Mind Reader Blues.”
They remained married until his death due to a heart condition on April 24, 1934. Shortly after they completed their last recording together, he died lying across his wife’s lap. She met a man named Joiner and took her new husband’s last name. They moved to an undisclosed suburb in Cook County, Illinois in 1949 where she worked in a used clothing store. She never sang in public again. #africanhistory365 #africanexcellence

Last weekend, I embraced a daring opportunity to travel solo. I did not even know if the Joiners group was legit until the tour coordinator was very accomodating, but still i payed my downpayment and pushed through. Leaving my work for a while was kinda risky but i put all my faith that all things would go well.
Traveling to Buscalan was terrific 😈🤣 but atleast the views was all that mattered. My main goal was to witness the pre-colonial building structures of the Rice Terraces. It even greeted me during the 30 minute hike towards the town.
My visit was quick and it checked everything I expected; unlimited local coffee(one of the best i tasted), an honor to meet Whang Od(107 years old National Artist of Traditional Tattoo) and finally touched the Rice Terraces.
I wrapped up my last day savoring coffee and capturing photos of the rising sun over the Buscalan Rice Terraces. Grateful for this experience, thank you, God!
