Even the price of Solar Water Heater equipment is fairly higher. The opposite choices like boilers or gas heaters are smart choice to use however they still need in-renewable supply of energy and isn't atmosphere friendly.
Solar water heaters on the opposite hand could appear to be a fashionable investment however with the passage of your time the new water becomes nearly free. They’re designed in conjunction of the backup heater that is will like at the time once the specified heat isn't offered from the sun. The solar water heaters are in nice demand particularly with the new constructions so the price is enclosed within the construction and becomes only once investment permanently amount of your time.
Let us see why solar water heaters are gaining interest of the people and what its benefits are.
Source is free: because the name counsel that the solar water heater needs sun's energy to heat the water. It’s unnecessary to say that the sun is freely accessible to the world. so we will say that the solar power will be consumed freed from price and it's a reliable supply because the heat from the sun will be used until the time sun shines.
Low or no maintenance: Usually the price of maintenance of solar heaters is extremely less. At the installation stage they will looks to be bit privy however the upkeep of a similar needs terribly minimum maintenance. A follow informed the list to stay it in good shape will facilitate to regulate additional effort in its maintenance.
Saving on power bills: Usually running the new water heaters for long incurs further burden on electricity bills. Which can increase just in case of huge families and industrial buildings? The solar water heaters helps to stay a check on further greenbacks as they need electricity or gas backup only if the water isn't heated up to the required temperature.
Dependency on power is minimized: because the star water heaters don't need electricity backup unless required, the dependency on power provide is decreased. One doesn’t have to be compelled to await hot water even though there's no power provide.
Demand meets provide: Usually the solar water heaters will meet your full demand of hot water supply in summers and most of it in winters while not would like of any backup. However at the time the sun isn't out there for the longer periods then the backup heaters are needed to produce the new water.
Payback period: Although the initial price of solar water heaters is also high however the number of savings drained a span of 5-10 years the price of a similar is retrieved. The price of the building additionally increases because of its power saving feature.
Thus, even the initial installation of the solar water heaters need some efforts and price however because of their long favorable results they're changing into a decent to shop for possibility for many of the people.

GE Foundation Grants $600,000 to Help Communities in India Combat Pandemic
The GE Foundation announced US$600,000 in COVID-19 Community Response Grants, which will provide critical funds to enable treatment of patients with COVID-19.
GE Foundation is an independent charitable organization funded by GE.
A US$450,000 grant to United Way Bengaluru will support the build-out of 60 intensive treatment units (ITUs) at St. John’s Hospital in Bengaluru, which will provide intensive level nursing and oxygen for up to 600 patients each month and free up intensive care beds for critically ill COVID-19 patients.
A US$150,000 grant to Americares will fund 100 oxygen concentrators to hospitals in need across Vadodara, Noida, Pune, Hyderabad, and Chennai. The oxygen concentrators and associated supplies will support approximately 2,500 patients over the next 6 months.
“The GE Foundation is proud to work with trusted partners in disaster response to help families in India facing unprecedented challenges brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Linda Boff, President, GE Foundation, and Vice President, GE.
“We believe that this grant will bring timely medical care to critically affected COVID-19 patients in India,” said Mahesh Palashikar, President and CEO, GE South Asia.
“At this time of adversity in India where we are bearing the brunt of the brutal Covid second wave, it is important to have a balance between addressing immediate needs and medium to long term needs. I appreciate the response from GE Foundation wherein they have addressed both the needs. The 60 bed ITU at St. John’s is a big step in the that direction,” said Rajesh Krishnan, Executive Director, United Way Bengaluru.
“The GE Foundation is among Americares’ most reliable and committed supporters, and thanks to their generous donation, our emergency response team in India will be better positioned to provide health facilities and COVID-19 treatment centers with the supplies they need to protect health workers and care for patients,” said Christine Squires, President and CEO, Americares.
Today’s announcement builds on a US$275,000 COVID-19 Community Response Grant made in late 2020 to the United Way India, which supported the organization’s “Hungry No More” initiative. The program set up kiosks to distribute more than 18,000 food kits to migrant workers and families in five cities -- Vadodara, Pune, Noida, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad. The 7-10-day dry ration food kits helped an estimated 90,000 people, reducing hunger and stress in these areas.
Throughout the pandemic, GE has supported communities across India. Recent community initiatives include working with state governments to implement smart kiosks in Noida, Gurugram, Lucknow, Agra, Varanasi, Panaji, and Bengaluru for random population-based screening of COVID-19. These walk-in sample collection kiosks helped eliminate contact between healthcare workers and suspected patients. In addition, GE Volunteers worked with United Way India to distribute ration kits in Karnataka, Telangana, and Gujarat.

Historically, different era teaches us different lessons to help us learn. We humans never learn from the past, ponders about present and anxious about future. With this vigorously-vivid deadly virus, it has affected us intimately and economically in numerous ways.
One question the media keeps asking is how this corona phase shall change us – for better? Or for worse? What are the things you will look forward too once this pass? What has C19 stolen from you during the short time?
The only difference before pandemic and after pandemic, there won’t be any difference to people idiosyncrasy. They still crave for attention, money and greed. Such is the life of human nature. Virus or no-virus, politics and religion shall still continue stepping over people sentiments and values.
Over the years, the culture have changed, the costumes varied, the languages have changed, the places have changed, and there seems no morals today. We are all part takers of these changes. Yet you ask what has been stolen? This little monster have grasped us our society, our work places, our festivals, our slums, our gatherings, our relationships, our health, our educational sectors, our restaurants, our theatres, our stadiums what not… Right?
Social distancing was the first initiative in preventing C19 which has stolen the intimate relation of touch and speech, guarding ourselves from the person next is not just important but a necessity. Within a month or two, we got adapted to a new trend of masking our faces with varying shades of greens and blues. That being a trend setter, there is a whole varieties available in designs and colours. You just have to pay a hefty amount likes the ones for santisizers and gloves. In hopes of finding to purchase them cheap. If not, you may pay a fine from Rs. 200/- to Rs. 5000/- (So, go get the trendy face masks or go with head and neck completely cloth wrapped in rounds and rounds!)
Reference: https://www.rediff.com/news/report/coronavirus-in-india-more-states-make-wearing-masks-mandatory-in-public/20200409.htm
We never knew the days can go faster, at this pace, not knowing the date, time or week – formulating every day as a Sunday. Aren’t you? When there were targets to complete, month-end meetings, school day functions denoting days with dates as reminders were an assurance something was going in right path but not the kind to wake on all Sunday likely days. Dreading of what to do, Isn’t it?
During this Corona chapter, it’s really disheartening to see less people gathered around funeral places. If you have unexpected guests in a house, that will be a funeral gathering. For its our culture to pay respects for the deceased even if you miss the weddings and happy fests. Departure from this world is surrendering one own responsibility to others is one way of putting up with death. Bidding a good farewell to your loved one is the utmost respect you pay. That’s why maybe our mourning days aren’t over for actors, Irrfan Khan or Rishi Kapoor or paid our debts in full for our loved ones who didn’t get enough respect or the good will. It’s sad, when we couldn’t be a part of any rituals or bid a proper good bye. Yet again, corona stole our morals, our rituals and culture from us.
Religious places have been closed since March and will be shut for long. That doesn’t lower the beliefs of faithful ones and it shouldn’t be during these testing times. No destructions can lower the minds of people under the influence of the almighty. There can be stumbling ones down the block but it’s the trial phase. If you’ve read old testament, there were more curses compared to sins, desires and blessings. It was God standing amongst the Israelites during war be it against God or in misery yearning for help. Only in men sufferings, in lies the God’s path.
For years, the house has been so quiet but then comes the corona chapter where every in-bodies wanted to escape from the cage. There had been continuous bulbs and air-conditioners charging the hike in electricity bills. If you’re on solars, you’re saved! Why you never thought of it earlier? Work-from-home or not, you can rest up your little backs on couches. Yes, I’ve learnt, the ‘WFH’ isn’t exactly cool too. It’s something you choose so be with it. (Peace offering!) House-wives and mothers have been working continuously to feed up the hungry tummies. Baking and cooking non-stop trying out new recipes. Painting, sketching and splashing new colors, you never thought you will do after like ten years or more! Recreating memories and following videos to get that extra muscle or trim of that extra kilos. Dusting off your favorite instruments and raising the jazz you never thought you had time.
Policemen, Doctors, Nurses, Ambulance drivers, Laboratory researchers, supermarket sales person, pharmacies, media, security guards – These ones and many out there were trying to bring the pandemic down. Respect for the countless ones whose sacrified and working hard behind the screens.
Corona Warriors, that’s an apt name. Salute!
On a positive note, there are more recoveries than deaths in handful places. There are deaths unclaimed and alarmingly rising in numbers. My heart goes to Maharashtra, Delhi, Gujarat, Chennai people and many facing the struggles of not receiving a proper aid or care. Some lost in the battle of bringing the virus down. Some not having proper gears or kits, yet working for the greater good.
Lastly, what may not be possible for 10 years global cleansing, happened in three months.
The Earth was healing.

To combat extreme heat, cover your roof in hungry, sweaty plants
New Post has been published on https://nexcraft.co/to-combat-extreme-heat-cover-your-roof-in-hungry-sweaty-plants/
To combat extreme heat, cover your roof in hungry, sweaty plants
Like hot dogs on Memorial Day or fireworks on the Fourth of July, melting roads are now an essential marker of summertime. In 2013, police closed parts of the M25 highway, which encircles the city of London, England, after asphalt started to melt, according to a BBC report at the time. In 2016, a viral video showed people in the Indian state of Gujarat losing their sandals to a ravenous roadway. And in 2018, the same thing happened in Australia (where the southern hemisphere summer begins in December), with local outlets reporting traffic came to a crawl as the pavement started to bubble.
To cope with goopy roadways, a cyclical spate of summertime deaths, and other dangerous side effects of extreme heat, cities are looking to a different kind of black top: your roof.
Steven Peck is the founder of Green Roofs for Healthy Cities, a Toronto-based organization that seeks to promote, showcase, and advance the emerging field of living architecture in North America. At its broadest, living architecture blurs the lines between organic and inorganic—plants and plywood, quails and concrete. Peck says one of the most effective tools in the living architect’s kit is “vegetative technology,” which includes things like green roofs and vertical gardens.
Green roofs replace or obscure asphalt shingles, black cladding, or other materials with plants. They’re aesthetically advantageous, of course: green roofs are near-universally considered attractive. When accessible to office workers, they’re a recreational hit. But these systems also have some serious environmental benefits. Plants, for example, slow rainwater’s descent to street level, reducing the chance of small-scale flooding, while filtering notoriously dirty stormwater.
They’re also useful in a heatwave. Existing roofs are typically black and made of emissive materials that generate heat easily. As a result, the sun’s rays are readily absorbed and resulting heat is channeled into the building. But green roofs are covered in hungry plants, which greedily absorb the sunlight themselves. By replacing a traditional roof and replacing it with a living one, building residents below are spared the brunt of extreme solar heat.
“If you take this black roof and you cover it with a green roof, you’re eliminating a heating source, [and] you’re also introducing a cooling source,” Peck says. And that’s important, especially in cities and suburbs, which experience the infamous “heat island effect.” Miles of pavement, few trees, and dense clusters of heat-absorbing buildings mean that cities are physically warmer than surrounding rural areas. According to the EPA, the daytime difference is about 5 degrees; at night, it’s a difference of about 22 degrees. And you don’t have to be cruising downtown to suffer. “It’s actually not just cities anymore: It’s entire metropolitan regions,” Peck says. “They’re starting to create their own weather.”
Infrastructure like roads, train tracks, and even bridges crumple in these urban heat island conditions. Of even more concern is human health. Our species has a very slim margin of thermal comfort. Research shows that extreme heat raises the risk of heart attacks, dehydration, heatstroke, and death. Particularly vulnerable populations include the very young, the very old, and individuals with chronic illness, as well as people unable to afford amenities like air conditioners (or the energy that keeps them running). While careful preparation is key to any individual surviving a heatwave, experts argue lowering the overall urban temperature is just as important.
Green roofs offer many benefits, but establishing them can be expensive, and upkeep isn’t always easy. One type of green roof is called “extensive.” Lightweight and easy to drain, these roofs have a shallow growing medium and a relatively homogenous group of plants, typically succulents. Extensive green roofs may require maintenance as little as twice a year. These roofs clock in around $10 per square foot, according to the University of Minnesota. On the other end of the spectrum is an “intensive” green roof. Heavier, more expensive, and in need of more upkeep, these roofs have a much deeper growing medium and a much wider array of plants. The university pegs these roofs at $25 per square foot. The cheapest roofing shingles, by comparison, are around $2.50 per square foot.
There are cheaper cooling options on the market. Instead of planting a green roof, many people opt to buy a can of white paint and slather it on their roof. A 2014 study found that white roofs, which reflect the sun’s rays instead of absorbing them, were actually more efficient than green roofs at mitigating extreme heat. While they lack the water-related benefits of a green roof, white roofs—and even white-painted pavements—are spreading. Los Angeles, for example, announced its plans to reduce its urban heat island effect by 3 degrees in the next two decades by painting its streets with a light gray CoolSeal paint.
Additionally, many cities are focused on replenishing their dwindling tree canopies. Defined as the percentage of a place covered in leaves, branches, or stems when viewed from above, tree canopies in American cities recede by about 175,000 acres each year. But for communities that have replanted and carefully tended to their trees, the localized urban heat island effect appears to decline dramatically.
Trees thrive on solar energy and provide shade from its penetrating rays. And, like plants on a green roof, healthy trees provide something called evapotranspiration. When the temperature rises, leaves transpire—or, in more human terms, sweat—effectively cooling the plant down. This diverts energy that might otherwise heat the surrounding area, and releases water vapor into the air, both of which have a cooling effect. Combined with shading, the EPA estimates trees can cool summer air by 2 to 9 degrees.
However cities go about cooling down, it’s clear that climate mitigation starts up top. “In Chicago’s July 1995 heat wave, a major risk factor in mortality was living on the top floor of a building with a black roof,” Arthur Rosenfeld, a scientist with Lawrence Berkeley National Lab said in a 2014 statement advising cities to systematically adopt green or white roofs. “Government has a role to ban or phase out the use of black or dark roofs, at least in warm climates, because they pose a large negative health risk.” What comes next—green, white, or something else entirely—is up to you.

Why is it Beneficial to Install Solar Rooftop in Ahmedabad?

Infinite Energy Technology, also views branding and marketing as an important aspect, especially for residential solar. “A branding and marketing strategy will certainly help in tapping the residential solar segment. The market today is completely fragmented and as the SPAAS (Solar Power As a Service, where Amplus usually bears the capital cot of equipment) model is not really viable here, the quality issue becomes even more important for the rooftop owner.

What Is Renewable energy?
Renewable energy is useful energy that is collected from renewable resources, which are naturally replenished on a human timescale, including carbon neutral sources like sunlight, wind, rain, tides, waves, and geothermal heat. The term often also encompasses biomass as well, whose carbon neutral status is under debate.
Renewable energy is useful energy that is collected from renewable resources, which are naturally refresh on a human timescale, including carbon neutral sources like sunlight, wind, rain, tides, waves, and geothermal heat. The term often also encompasses biomass as well, whose carbon neutral status is under debate. This type of energy source stands in contrast to fossil fuels, which are being used far more quickly than they are being restored.
Renewable energy often provides energy in four meaningful areas: electricity generation, air and water heating/cooling, transportation, and rural (off-grid) energy services.
Based on REN21's 2017 report, renewables contributed 19.3% to humans' global energy consumption and 24.5% to their generation of electricity in 2015 and 2016 by agreement. This Renewable energy consumption is divided as 8.9% coming from traditional biomass, 4.2% as heat energy (modern biomass, geothermal and solar heat), 3.9% from solar power and the remaining 2.2% is electricity from wind,Solar EPC, geothermal, and other forms of biomass.
Worldwide investments in renewable technologies amounted to more than US$286 billion in 2015. In 2017, worldwide investments in renewable energy amounted to US$279.8 billion with China accounting for US$126.6 billion or 45% of the global investments, the United States for US$40.5 billion and Europe for US$40.9 billion.Globally there were an estimated 10.5 million jobs associated with the renewable energy industries, with Solar Power being the largest renewable employer. Renewable energy systems are rapidly becoming more efficient and cheaper and their share of total energy consumption is increasing. As of 2019, more than two-thirds of worldwide newly installed electricity capacity was renewable.

Best way to clean solar panels
Solar panels don't have any moving parts, therefore they don't require any maintenance. Cleaning, on the other hand, is an important element of solar panel maintenance that should not be overlooked. This blog will teach you how to properly clean solar panels.
How to clean solar panels at home?
The first thing you should do is contact the manufacturer of your solar panels. They might have specific cleaning suggestions.
In the sun, solar panels can get extremely hot. Choose a relatively cool day to clean your solar panels, or clean them in the morning/late evening.
Invest in a good & durable solar panel cleaning brush. If there is a lot of dust and debris on them, you may need to clean them more thoroughly. Through the solar panel cleaning brush, you just have to attach the hose to a water outlet, and it will pour water and clean the panel at the same time. No additional equipment is required. This method is more effective than Auto Cleaning System.
Why should I clean my solar panels?
We already know that dust, dirt, pollen, bird droppings, and other debris can reduce the performance of solar panels.
At their 1.6 MW solar farm in California, Google executed a ground-breaking experiment. Cleaning the solar panels was discovered to be "the number one strategy to maximize the energy they produce." Solar panels that had been in use for 15 months were cleaned and their output of electricity was doubled.
In the case of flat solar panels, Google found that depending solely on rain to clean them is insufficient.
Will I lose money if I don't clean my solar panels?
It's realistic to anticipate that if solar panels aren't cleaned correctly, they'll lose 15-25 percent of their efficiency.
This implies they will generate 15-25 percent less electricity, which you will now have to purchase from the utility company at their prices. This simply adds many years to the repayment period.
It is worthwhile to clean solar panels.
Cleaning solar panels isn't all that different from cleaning a regular window. It's also not extremely time-consuming. As a result, you may notice a significant improvement in system performance as well as significant cost savings on your electric bills.
To put it another way, failing to clean your solar panels is equivalent to throwing money out the window.
To make it easy, a solar cleaning brush is a good investment to make this task a breeze.
