I've seen so many posts the past few days where people are asking if it's worth continuing The Rings of Power or even starting it.
And as someone who hated this show with a burning passion to start with (but then had a complete 180) let me give you a few pointerss
1. STOP COMPARING IT TO PETER JACKSONS WORK!
This is like the key point. They're two separate works of art, by different people. One is focused on specific books as source material, the other is using an overall story as its source material with a few passages or pages from other books. So they have to maybe twist things a bit, add stories to stretch it out. I mean HELL PJ himself did that, removed many things from LOTR changed things up. Like Arwen did fuck all in the books really, but PJ decided to change that and give her things to do. And I don't think I have to delve into the mess that was the Hobbit. What I'm saying is, they're two different works of art, made by different people, set during different ages in ME, and it's different source material.
2. "oh but the inaccuracies!"
This kinda also goes with the above, even Peter Jackson's works have inaccuracies and they had the rights to the whole text. And if it will help you to separate the two maybe view the Rings of Power as a fanfic? Or just a completely different thing, a work of fiction in its own right, ignoring the previous lore.
3. The Hair??!!
Okay sure that was one of the things for me, what do you mean that's Finrod? (To be fair that one sill hurts). However, for the majority of elves Tolkien never specified that all elves have long hair. And second of all, I am not sure if this is true cause I've only seen it mentioned on twitter but allegedly there were wig shortages after the pandemic so the production team got wigs for key characters and asked other actors to grow out their hair. And now they just kinda have to roll with it
4. It's Boring
Okay the first two episodes were also a bit of a slow burn for me but just get through it because it gets better. Also the costumes and cinematography is fantastic in the show. So really it is worth watching especially that S2 is looking to be intense and amazing.
5. Oh but why is this character acting like this?
This goes to part 1, don't compare to Peter Jackson movie characters. I mean even they had their flaws! But this is the second age, these characters are at different points in their lives, dealing with other things that you know in the long run teach them things and in turn could lead to make them become the way they are in the third age. And also if your only knowledge about these characters comes from LOTR maybe it's worth trying to delve into the Silmarillion and other texts about the First Age because it explains a lot
To add to this at the end, don't discredit TROP because it is a great show.

Monty Python Fanfics - Masterpost
Wattpad Edition | OC/xReader
[Updated November 26th, 2024] On Wattpad there are a lot of fantastic Monty Python fanfictions but sadly Wattpad and its algorithm & hashtags can be a real mess at times. So I decided to create an overview which can be shared, extended and saved more easily.
The focus is mainly on 'classical' fanfics (with an OC or (Y/N)) but other Monty Python stories will appear on this list, too.
Imagines: • By notsirrobin Eric, Michael • By georgeharrisonswif Eric, John, Michael, Terry J.*, Full Group • By FawltyTwat Graham, John, Michael, Terry J. • By pythonslut Eric*, Michael • By dustbinoffanfics Eric, Graham, John, Michael, Terry J. • By BeatlesLoveForLife Eric • John Cleese Imagines * • "Insecurities" Michael Palin (fluff) • "Priorities"* John Cleese (smut) • "More"* John Cleese (smut) • Holy Grail Preferences Also check out... @imaginemontypython on tumblr [*Contains smut]
Multi-Chapter Stories: Eric- • "Keep Me In Mind" by notsirrobin Eric Idle, OC At a street show in London she sees a boy that opens her eyes... and her heart. • "The Barbados Fic" by kettle-on Eric Idle, Michael Palin, OC Spending a few weeks with the Pythons -and especially her boyfriend Eric- at Heron Bay, a love triangle might be in view. Michael- • "The Scenic Route" by 2heavyheart Michael Palin Time travel is real and Michael finds himself back in 1972. How can he return to today or does he even want to..? • "Holy Grail Days" by MontyPalin Michael Palin, OC The end of filming 'Holy Grail'. She gets to meet Michael and might become more than just another fan. • "Caught In The Rain" by MontyPalin Michael Palin, OC Smut on the set of 'Jabberwocky'.
John- • "Did You Know That John Cleese Can Speak Russian?" by MontyPalin John Cleese, OC Fresh out of college she gets the opportunity to be a camera operator on the set of 'A Fish Called Wanda'. • "Tale Of Something" by montypythonyogacats John Cleese, OC A love story. • "Points System" by Mr_Monty_Python John Cleese, Eric Idle, OC She is not only in a relationship with John but also in one with Eric. Will that work out? Graham- • "About Some Snakes" by See_Jay02 Graham Chapman, OC One of her really good friends happens to be Graham. Oh, and the other Pythons are there, too. All of them- • "Obsessed" by dustbinoffanfics All, OC When you're a fan ever since the first episode of MPFC aired, seeing them live is the inevitable next step, right?
Now for less OC / xReader but more AUs and harder to categorise but still a lot of fun to read:
Other: • "Pythons" by shineonyoudiamond For way too long there's been a shortage of shrubberies in Europe but new hope arises when King Michael makes contact with King Graham via letter which John has to convey. • "Python II" by shineonyoudiamond Eric has a brilliant idea which unfortunately is in space. Instead of travelling alone to get it, he takes the other Pythons with him to saturn. • "Monty Python And The Holy Grail" by JulietteBlankenberg The inofficial novelisation of the movie.
This post isn't complete yet and will be updated over time. So occasionally keep an eye on the original post (as reblogs don't change along with the updates).
Feel free to repost with additional fanfic links or just share to get the word around in our small fandom <3

Hey Lark! I know some fandoms have fanfic that are super iconic to that fandom. Like almost everyone has read them, they're usually well known. What fanfic(s) do you think the game theory community has? Or like what fanfics do you recommend a newbie to read?
Oooh, that’s a tough one Nonnie! I mean it depends on what you’re looking for, since I mostly read Stephew stuff I can only really recommend that.
A good one here on Tumblr is Of Bruises and Scars, which is a fnaf/GTLive crossover written by the wonderful Sixer, but it does get a bit violent. However, Sixer also writes really cute fanfics in general if fnaf isn’t your thing!
There are also a tonne of other fanfic writers around here who are all super talented, but if we’re going with popular stuff I’ll jump over to Wattpad where I think the vast majority of people get their fanfic fix:
https://www.wattpad.com/story/82189528-matpat-and-steph-stephew-gtlive
https://www.wattpad.com/story/100172372-stephew-oneshots
https://www.wattpad.com/story/94768655-stephew-oneshots
and there’s also my own writing, which is apparently pretty popular (somehow)
I’d love it if other people could help expand this list with Stephew fics they’ve really liked or think are pretty iconic to the fandom, since I don’t think I’m the most qualified person to create this list. Hopefully this is helpful in starting you down the fanfic rabbit hole Nonnie!
#I know I've missed heaps of amazing fanfics but I think this is a pretty good starting place?#I don't think we really have any super iconic fanfics like some other fandoms do but these are the most popular in terms of views etc#But seriously this community is full of amazing fanfic writers#So there's no shortage of fantastic fanfics#Although we are pretty notorious for never updating (@ myself)#Hope this is a good start Nonnie!#And other people who know more fanfics than me please add to this list!#Also I love pretty much all of the fanfics I read from this community#So if you didn't make this list please don't feel bad or anything you're all wonderful & talented & should keep up the amazing fic writing#GTLive fanfics#Stephew#Fanfiction

Missilestorm's Encanto Fic Rec List
Updated 6/3/2022
Alrighty, I thought I'd join the fray here - This shall no doubt grow as I find more lovely stories. Sorted by pairings - I tend to skew more toward angst and hurt/comfort centered around Bruno and Mirabel platonic feels, but I've been writing so much of it lately that fluff and other stuff has become a necessary part of the reading routine, so there's probably a little something for everyone in here. I'll update this periodically as I find more wonderful fics and will rotate things in and out on occasion.
Bruno/OC (or Reader) (or both if you're ClicheJoe):
Candlelight by ClicheJoe (Mature) | Tumblr: ClicheJoe
Holy crap this is good. The biggest driver here is that Reme, the Reader/OC, is really easy to fall in love with. Reme makes mistakes, falls on her face (literally) a lot, and is hilarious. This fic has me grasping at straws for any little info about the OC's backstory, which with the incredible casting of Encanto already, is such a feat. Seriously, go read this - it's got plot, and humor, and romance, and marshes, and it's fantastic. Go follow @clichejoe on tumblr too and suffer through her veiled plot related reposts with the rest of us.
Heart Attack Love by RosellaC (Explicit) | Tumblr: @rosellacwrites Professor Bruno/Reader AU; Friends, this is very smutty, and it's really well done, and now I've gone and gotten invested in the plot. There's some fantastic imagery in this one. If it's your thing, go read it, shoo.
Seasons Series by o3ak (Explicit) | Tumblr: @o3ak
Once again, more wineglass top tier god level smut, and then feels come in and you kinda want to start crying! If that isn't an endorsement I don't know what is.
your words unspoken by Applesap (Explicit) | Tumblr: @applesap-fics
Bruno comes out, and reactions and explorations ensue. I love the family in this fic - their reactions, support, and conversations are great. I enjoy Bruno wanting to go out and explore. It’s also got angst and makes me feel feelings - I'm excited to see where it goes!
Bruno & Mirabel Centric Fanfics:
Artificial Shortages by sitting_all_alone (Teen) | Tumblr: @selcaby
This de-Disney’s Bruno’s time in the walls, and it’s just heartbreaking. This is really well written and makes me feel all the feelings. Great angst and really lovely moments.
house of cards by therealgift (Teen)
Mirabel gets trapped in the rubble of Casita, and Bruno is injured and tries to help her out. Oh MAN, does this have some fantastic angst moments already. I’m clinging to the “angst with a happy ending” tag like a life raft. ;_;
See me; hear me by therealgift (General)
Bruno gets to Mirabel before Alma does, and some really sweet interactions ensue. Excellent one-shot!
I'm Fine (I'm Not) by Breanna (Teen) | Tumblr: @breannaaiedail
A lovely series of one-shot sickfics featuring Bruno and Mirabel! This is rainy day cozy hot chocolate worthy h/c, and it's got some angst to balance out the saccharine.
The Distance Between Us Series by Breanna (General) | Tumblr: @breannaaiedail
This is my multi-week cleanse at the moment. The first in the series one-shots that follows Mirabel and Bruno's relationship pre-gift ceremony, and the second picks up with them after Casita falls. I love how Bruno's degrading mental health is handled too - it's subtle enough to still be fluff galore, but it's there, and it drives you to want to keep reading, see how their relationship develops, and watch him make promises he can't keep (wah).
the future looks like this by bumblezone (General)
A lovely little one shot between Mirabel and Bruno - the characterizations are great. It focuses in on a conversation they have after Casita is rebuilt. I'm a sucker for any fanfic recognizing the parallels between Mirabel and Bruno, and this hits that mark.
Bruno From Before by UsedToBeGuest123 (General) | Tumblr: @usedtobeguest123
This fic centers around the side effects of Bruno's gift, and Mirabel and Bruno's relationship post Casita. I really like how this fic handles a lot of stuff. Bruno characterization is really neat, and Mirabel's struggle with self blame is really well done too.
Not the Intended Reunion by sleepygirl0305 (Teen)
I really enjoyed the flow of this fic. Mirabel leaves with Bruno after Casita falls, and ten years later, Antonio discovers that they have been living in a nearby town all along. I love the way this fic handles Mirabel's mental struggle.
Nos Sigue la Noche by Thornvale (Teen) | Tumblr: @thornvale
This fic is one of the best suspense-building fics I've read in this genre. It will hook you and make you keep reading. Accept that you'll be drowsy at work the next morning. Just - wow. I love the characterization, and the buildup, and just everything. Wonderfully done.
A Lie More Comfortable Than Truth (Teen) by Queen_mab | Tumblr: @themadqueenmab
Wow. This fic is just brilliant. I love Mirabel's characterization in this and the bond her and Bruno have formed. Bruno's chronic worry and protectiveness and the way it's manifested is just A tier in this and I've gone back multiple times to read certain chapters just because of the way the character interactions are written. Really wonderful stuff.
Murder, Magic, & Mugs by aetherspell(aether_december) | Tumblr: @aetherdecember
This is a very fun modern fantasy AU. Bruno suffers, Mirabel is sweet, and Camilo’s a little shit. The angst in this is great, and I love how characters from different media have been woven into the world. It’s a really fun compelling read.
Mirabel Centric Fics:
Sympathy Pain by DecemberMe (General) | Tumblr: @hectic-hector
This is a cute little oneshot about periods and Bruno having grown up in a house full of women and what that means for his knowledge of the matter. Very sweet, and the art to go with it is great!
Bruno Centric Fics:
Open Your Eyes (and see that you’re home) by ImpossibleFangirl0632 (Teen) | @impossiblefangirl0632
Bruno is separated from the family at the river as a child, and proceeds to have a very not fun time. There’s a very sweet daughter OC in this that I’ve really enjoyed, and the angry Bruno moments are great.
Alma Centric Fics:
Dame tu Manito by DancingMantis (Teen) (Alma & Bruno)
This fic follows Alma and Bruno's relationship in a 5 times, 1 time format. It's ongoing, but the imagery in this fanfiction is just fantastic - the descriptions are phenomenal.
A Third Chance by Starfangs_Secrets (Teen) | @starfangssecrets
Alma is taken back in time and tries not to repeat her mistakes. I’m still working through this fic, and I really like it! The OCs are great, Alma’s regret and reactions are heartbreaking, and there’s some interesting and thought provoking details added to Bruno’s gift.
Camilo & Bruno Centric Fics:
Mortifying by between (Teen)
Camilo needs more food to function, but hasn't really communicated this well with his family. Angst ensues - I love this fic, and I love the interactions between Camilo and Bruno. Super good read!
The Stars Don't Shine, They Burn by CakeBeDamned (General)
No one actually sits Camilo down and explains what happened when Casita fell, and h/c ensues. I love the takes on Camilo’s gift and how it’s tied to his emotion, and I really enjoyed the characterization choices with Bruno!
Missilestorm's Encanto Fanfics
Here are my Encanto Fanfics! :)
Tremors, Bruno Madrigal & Mirabel Madrigal (Teen)
The night Casita returns, Mirabel discovers she has a gift that causes cracks to form and decides that it's best if no one knows about it.
Naensut's Tremors Fanart
Old Habits Die Hard, Bruno Madrigal & Mirabel Madrigal (Mature) | TW Rape and Underage
Mirabel is assaulted by a townsperson shortly after Casita falls; deals with the aftermath of that assault with Bruno as her main support, and how the event curls together with family trauma.
Hectic-Hector's Old Habits Hug Fanart
Hectic-Hector's Old Habits Courtroom Fanart
Kintsugi (Teen), Camilo Madrigal & Bruno Madrigal (General)
After Casita is restored, Camilo still tends to put a lot before himself. Everyone’s too busy to notice.
-----
I would also recommend checking out Breanna's Fic Recs, Naensut's Fic Recs, and die-youn's Fic Recs for additional fantastic recommendations <3

1) Love the new writings you've put up, I keep going back and giggling at Akari taking care of her uncle Ingo 2) I got the chapter with gaeric's froslass noping Volo posted, but it's buried under a pile of words, so if you just want to read those portions i can send them in a separate ask 3) Personally, I see the ride pokemon as nobles, and the great thing with fanfic is that you can bend the laws of cannon as much as you want! So if you want to keep the ride pokemon as nobles, I say keep it!
1) thank you so much!! I’m so glad you like them! :) I’m excited to get my next fic out (the food shortage one, I gotta think up a proper name for that), it’s daunting because it’s quickly shaping up to be multi-chapter, but it’s still really just Akari taking care of her Uncle Ingo haha. But this time, Pearl Clan is included in that care too!!
2) I just read the chapter, no worries!! Fantastic writing as well!! Loved the parts with Volo and the Froslass! Your characterization of Volo and the other’s thoughts on him really make me want to read more! (And your characterization in general is nice to read!) I’d love to read the full thing from the beginning when I get the chance!
For anyone who wants to check out a chapter of Lady-lancer’s fic where Gaeric’s Froslass knows what’s up with Volo, check out chapter 27 of Moonlit Tracks in a Strange Land ! Or consider reading the whole thing from the beginning, I know I am!
(Again thank you as well for including that!)
3) I suppose you are right! Thankfully the only fic i’ve written that this majorly affected is Akari’s sicfic, which is still a WIP (because dang characterization!!). So I can go back and adjust anything if I feel like it.
This anon also had this to share, which is a nice way of thinking, and still makes the ride Pokémon more noble, like their blessed counterparts that are actually nobles.
Thanks!!

Putting on Hairs - Post Production: Patronizing Donation
Primary Pairing Trio: MariKanaDia Words: 986 Rating: G AU: Theater Parent Fic: Putting on Hairs - Post Production Time Frame: Sometime before the main story Event: Fantastic Departure 2022 Event Source: Idol Fanfic Heaven channel on Discord
---------
Author’s Note: 9th entry for the prompt-agraph event
Reminder: Waseda is an actual acting school in Japan, where I'm kinda sorta having a bunch of the "first years" go for their acting degrees.
Summary: Dia ends a call that gets her thinking
---------
Hearing those words coming out of her mouth should’ve put her on cloud nine, as she had been waiting to hear them for so long. Yet, it wasn’t happening the way she had wanted to. The feelings in her heart weren’t the ones she had expected either. Nothing felt right at this moment.
Dia stared at her laptop screen and the blank window that no longer displayed the video chat she had just ended. There was no shortage of work that needed to be done, and yet she continued to stare, slowly processing what had just transpired.
She was still uncertain as to what had convinced her to finally answer the call. She hadn’t spoken to, or even messaged her for… how long had it been now? A year? Longer?
And yet, for some reason, Dia had decided to accept the incoming video call from Mari today.
Of course, Mari had managed to learn about Dia opening a theater of her own. Perhaps Kanan told her, or maybe she learned from her endless connections created through her family hotel chain. She hadn’t said, and it really didn’t matter.
What did matter is that Mari wanted to be a patron of Dia’s theater. And Dia had accepted.
However, Dia had not accepted because she was desperate for funding.
The Osakas, a mysterious couple who had been watching over the ghostly denizens of the theater for almost a decade, had a similarly vast network of connections. Through said connections, Dia, and her new business partner Umi, had secured a loan to begin the renovation project. Then, the Osakas had pledged an annual amount to keep certain boxes open in the house to allow the ghosts with which they worked to see a show or two when they wanted. Finally, they had recommended the hiring of one of the ghosts, Osaka Shizuku, whose graduation from Waseda would roughly coincide with the renovation being complete.
Umi's family connections had found other Waseda students for prospective hires. One in particular, Nishikino Maki, already had some star power to her name and her parents had been happy to join the ranks of patrons. Umi had also possibly found a costume designer, Minami Kotori, though Dia was not sure as to the hesitation there; perhaps it was a similar situation to Dia’s, but she wasn't going to press the issue.
As for Dia's connections, she had reached out to a childhood friend of Kanan's, Takami Chika, to see if she might be interested in being the theater's playwright. Chika in turn had mentioned bringing in Watanabe You as another actor or costume designer or whatever.
Granted, Dia's connections had not secured funding like the Osakas or Umi's, until now of course. But things were progressing smoothly without Mari's contribution. And yet, Dia couldn't help accepting.
She knew she had wanted to accept. She wanted to be happy that someone so important to her wanted to do such a generous thing for her; and there was no doubt Mari was doing it for Dia, not Umi or any other possible employee of the theater. And yet…
Dia sighed.
Once again, her thoughts turned to all that had transpired among Mari, Kanan and herself.
As an adult, Dia knew she couldn’t hold it against Mari that she left back in high school. Her parents were moving to the United States, and as someone still heavily dependent on them, it stood to reason that Mari would join them. Then, Mari’s father insisted she attend college in Italy, for reasons that had never been clear to Dia – she still wondered if Mari herself understood the logic – and that kept her away even longer.
But the decision to stay in Italy after graduation, that had been Mari’s alone… right?
Granted, by that time, the three woman had drifted a lot. Dia herself had moved away to attend college in Tokyo, where now she herself had chosen to remain, leaving Kanan alone back in Numazu.
Was that why Dia struggled to figure out her feelings concerning Mari, because she had ended up doing the same thing to Kanan a couple years later?
But at least Tokyo was close enough that they could still visit each other with some frequency. Well, until they had stopped a while back.
And on the topic of coming back, that had been the other thing. Mari had said she was going to return to Japan. She hadn’t said when, nor had she mentioned where, but Dia suspected soon and that she would eventually end up in Tokyo, possibly with Kanan in tow.
Was Dia ready to see them both again?
Somewhere, buried under years of mental dust and detritus, Dia knew she still maintained feelings for both Mari and Kanan. Would seeing them again in person allow those old childhood feelings to burn once again, or would she snuff out those flames and let their years apart be the deciding factor for their future interactions?
Why couldn’t Mari had learned about the theater after it was already up and running and Dia could at least show off its success before accepting aid from her? Would that have made it easier for Dia to reconcile things? Well, there was no use dwelling on that train of thought.
A knock on Dia’s door brought her back to reality.
“Come in, Umi-san.” Dia recognized the mind on the other side.
“Dia-san.” Umi said with a slight bow as she entered the temporary office. “I just got off a call with the agent of an actor I believe may have even more star power than Nishikino-san. Have you heard of Yazawa Nico?”
“I have.” Dia confirmed. “If she’s willing to work with us, I would be happy to bring her on. And speaking of calls, I just got off of one myself.”
“Oh?”
“It seems we have a new patron, an old aqua… friend of mine, Ohara Mari.”
---------
Author’s Note Continued: My thoughts on this one are conflicted, due in no small part that I'm not comfortable with the narrative flow. There is no shortage of exposition I'd like to write for PoH, but I would like to maintain some semblance of balance between pure exposition and proper narration; whatever that might be. But I suppose if anything feels off kilter, I can just handwave it off as being the scattered and stressed trains of thought of Dia herself, at least for this scene.

Everything He Ever Wanted
Hi Guys! This is a new Jay Park fanfic I’m working on (because we are in a serious shortage and us girls need our fantasy fix!) Its about Jay falling in love and wanting to settle down, and all the headache and heartache that ensues (cue lots of angst, sexy times and love :P). I post the stories on Wattpad as I’m not sure if I’d be able to post the full story on here (Tumblr guidelines and stuff) but I am going to be posting the first chapter here and then every time I publish a new chapter I’ll post the links for you to read. The story is for 18ANDOVER! If you are not 18 this story isn’t for you (sorry). And Jay if you are reading this: its pure fantastical fiction! I don’t mean to embarrass or cast aspersions on you in any kind of way. If you are reading this (PLEASE dont lol), I hope I did your fantasy character justice :P. For the rest of you, happy reading!
Oh BTW: New Chapters every Friday, but you get this one a day early just because I love y’all!!! xxxxxxxxxx
1. Home Is Where The Heart was
An exhausted sigh left Jay's lips in a rush, as he entered through the open door and dropped his bags on the heated marble flooring.
Having been away on tour for 6 weeks Jay had a lot of bags to carry; all heavy, all full of laundry.
He paused and took a breath in, savouring the smell of home, the smell of Her.
She hadn't been home in a long time. This was no longer to be Her home; hell it hadn't even been Her "home" for longer than a few weeks, most of which she had spent elsewhere (or rather somewhere else). But since She had been the last person in the house before Jay had left for the tour, Her scent still lingered. And it was this scent that invaded Jay's senses, coiling around his synapses and holding them at ransom as his mind cast back to the last moment he saw Her.
Jay stood watching Her leave through the polished glass doors of his office building, Her words still ringing in his ears like a death knell, "We can't do this any more Jay, I have to go back and live my life..." She took a pause here, her perfectly soft and plump lips quivering momentarily, almost as if to hold Her back from completing the sentence,"... and you have to live yours."
Now the thing is, when Jay first saw Her walk through the doors; Her soft hair in which he loved to bury his face now framing Her face in a twist-out that beautifully rippled in the light breeze of the evening night air as She stepped through the glass door, his heart had soared and swooped the same way it did every day since the very first day he had seen Her.
His face broke into an unstoppable smile as he outstretched his arms to embrace Her, automatically breathing in Her scent as She stepped into his embrace, clinging to him as though She would be otherwise flung into the furthest reaches of space.
Jay hadn't noticed the shine of unshed tears demanding to be released. He hadn't noticed the taxi outside, and he certainly didn't know that it was taking Her to the airport.
He was oh-so blissfully unaware of all of these little details.
She had been going back and forth with this for weeks, months even, ever since their relationship had first begun showing signs of becoming more serious (unbeknownst to Jay). And try as She might, She knew this couldn't work; there were too many moving parts, too many things to consider and too many sacrifices to be made. She thought it best that She end this now before it got too serious and whilst they were still able to at least salvage some sort of friendship from the wreckage.
Noticing She was lost in thought, Jay nudged Her, asking if She were OK.
Now on the way over here, She had already told herself that She wasn't going to cry and do the whole melodramatic stuff; that She was going to keep it light and factual and hoped he would understand.
And so when She quickly lifted Her head to meet his eye, Her face had already settled into a bright and easy smile, belying the ton of bricks that She was about to drop onto the smitten and unsuspecting Jay Park.
Now, as he watched Her leave after begging Her to reconsider ("... you don't have to do this..."). His heart beat harder with every step She took to the waiting cab outside. He was frozen helpless, unable to stop this series of Very Unfortunate and Fucked Up Events.
He watched the taxi drive away, taking with it the only piece of true happiness that he had ever felt in a long, long time.
And he had let it happen.
BZZZZZZZBZZZZZZZZBZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
The vibration of Jay's phone broke him out of his reverie with a snap. He thrust his hand into his pocket and pulled it out, glancing at the screen as he made his way to the kitchen.
BZZZZZZZBZZZZZZZZBZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
He paused with his hand on the handle of the refrigerator, his thumb hovering indecisively over the phone screen.
BZZZZZZZBZZZZZZZZBZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
He rolled his eyes and pressed the green button, putting the phone to his ear at the same time as he pulled open the refrigerator door.
"Heeeeeyyyyyy bro, whatcha doin'?" the gravelly voice of Jay's business partner Mike came through the phone as vivid as if he were standing in the room, rather than 5,000 miles away.
"Hey, Mike" Jay chuckled. "Not much, just got back."
"How was the tour?"
"Yeah it was good. The guys killed as usual," said Jay, into an empty fridge.
"Did you get any numbers?" Jay could practically hear the Cheshire Cat smile on Mike's face as he asked this question.
He sighed as he closed the refrigerator door and made his way to the living room. "No I didn't get any numbers Mike" Jay said, plopping down dejectedly onto his plush sofa, allowing his head to fall back, eyes staring straight at the ceiling.
"Jay, you are really wasting your unlimited pussy allowance, man!" groaned Mike. Jay chuckled in response, closing his eyes and wearily raising a hand to rub them. "Dude you should be literally DROWNING in pussy!"
"I'm too busy for all that extra shit, Mike." Jay sighed.
"Extra shit? Dude." Mike was all seriousness now, leaving a pause so pregnant that it caused Jay to sit up and open his eyes. "You are never, too tired, for pussy!" Jay fell back into his original position, another exhausted sigh leaving his lips as he landed except this time, he had a little smile on his face.
Mike's dry humour was a welcome salve right now anyway.
"Plus, Jay; I'm married."
"I know Mike."
"So that means I'm living vicariously through you, my dude!"
"Mike-"
"Look, forget about all that anyway" Mike interrupted Jay, sensing he was not perhaps his usual playful self and wondering if he had perhaps struck a nerve.
Mike was quite intuitive, even if he sometimes came off as oblivious. In his world, he found that feigning ignorance can sometimes be a better strategy around people, especially when dealing with the types of sensitive and high-flying businessmen he was used to dealing with on a daily basis.
Or when his friend had something - or someone - on his mind that may need to be discussed away over copious amounts of alcohol sometime in the near-future.
"Remember you have the interview with Vogue Korea about the new AOMG site and app," said Mike making a mental note to revisit this again at a later time.
"Yeah" sighed Jay gratefully, thankful for the change in subject. "When is it again?"
"Friday. 9.30AM"
Jay pulled his phone away from his ear and checked the screen. The interview would be in three days time.
"Cool, my assistant already has the details anyway. I'll check my emails to see when the car will be arriving."
"Sweet. Hit me up later, so we can talk a bit about the Nike deal. But until then; GET SOME SLEEP."
Click
Mike ended the call.
Jay allowed the phone to slide from his ear onto the sofa next to him, bringing both hands up to gently rub his face before dropping his head back and allowing his arms to drop onto the sofa back. The huge floor to ceiling windows directly opposite bathed him in the light of the setting sun, as he allowed his exhausted and aching body to sink deeper into his seat.
As his mind drifted, he remembered a particular evening spent on this same sofa during a thunderstorm not too long after he had first met Her. In fact, there were many evenings he remembered being spent on this sofa (not all of them as innocent as the particular evening he currently had in mind however, but all of them just as enjoyable).
Sharing one of those huge soft furry blankets that She loved so much, with a low fire burning in the marble wood-burning fireplace to the right of them.
She had been drinking Jack Daniel's, and he had been drinking soju, both just talking to and laughing with each other in an atmosphere of comfortability, while outside torrential rain pounded against the monolithic windows and brilliant forks of lightening spilt the charcoal grey and roiling sky, causing occasional rolls of thunder which reverberated throughout the building.
The dichotomy of the chaos on one side of the window pane, versus the serenity on the other hadn't been lost on either of them.
Every now again She would interrupt the freely-flowing conversation to point out a particularly spectacular lightning strike or a close roll of thunder would make Jay jump, which he would then try to disguise by acting as though he was just moving positions on the couch or picking up/putting down his glass (which She very politely acted like She did not notice, or turned away to hide Her smile - which he had gratefully appreciated).
Her being in Jay's house had been perfectly innocent at the time, having being introduced through his artist Jarv Dee, Jay had innately felt at ease around Her. She had an easy-going and relaxed nature, with a quick wit and genuine smile. He became further intrigued when he found out that She was a full-stack developer and promptly discussed possibly working together on something some time. Which is how the new AMOG website and H1gher app came about.8
That was exactly one year ago from today and 5 months from the day She ripped out Jay's heart and stomped all over it.
"We can't do this Jay..."
Her words echoed around his head like a death knell.
Jay had spent every waking moment carefully analysing every detail of their interactions - every facial expression, every vocal inflection - in the hopes of being able to at least understand WHY She had done this.
Did he say something - do something - to scare her off?
How, when things were going so good between them, could she just end everything and leave so suddenly?
Jay was aware that he was getting older but, he hadn't really ever thought of what the future would look like for him and who he would want to settle down with. The kind of jet-setting lifestyle Jay led meant he had the luxury of being able to avoid thinking about such things under the guise of being "too busy". And with the fast life Jay led, the women he came across had been just as fast.
That is until he had met Her.
Meeting Her had made him truly question his life dynamic, made him want to change his dynamic.
Made him think about when would be the time to put down the mic for good and step back to make way for the younger artists coming up behind him?
Jay had almost single-handedly built an entire musical empire in a foreign land, which meant he really had to think about who it was he wanted to share that with.
A thought he had never needed to have before Her.
She had awakened something in him that he had been confident was dormant, something which he had convinced his concerned parents and nagging brother he wasn't quite ready for.
She made him think more of the life after. After all the parties, interviews, world travelling, and screaming fans.
Of the life he lived when he was just Jay, the dorky kid from Seattle.
Who did he want to come home to? Who did he want waiting for him when the lights had faded and the music stopped?
The morning after the lightening storm had been the first time Jay had woken up to Her. They had fallen asleep where they sat in Jay's plush sofa, having spent the evening bonding over their respective careers, old 90s RnB and alcohol. Seeing her head resting upon the opposite armrest of his sofa, the golden rays of the early morning sun illuminating the golden undertones of Her skin, made something inside him sing. He knew he liked having Her around, liked hearing Her voice, liked knowing she was OK.
He loved being in her presence, hearing Her laugh, seeing Her focused frown whilst She was working.
He loved smelling Her, breathing Her in whenever he could.
He loved hearing Her footsteps on his hardwood floor.
He hated not knowing why it went wrong.
But in just a few days the H1gher app and new AOMG website was due to go live, meaning She would be coming back to Korea for the launch.
Meaning She and Jay would be in each other's company for the first time since Her departure.
Meaning Jay would not only have to face Her, but once She left he'd have to relive the pain of her leaving all over again.
Jay groaned inwardly.
This should be fun, he thought humourlessly.
Jay reached for his phone beside him and dialled an all too familiar number.
"Hello?" Came the answer down the line.
"Hey, is she free?"
"Good evening, Mr Park. Yes she is free. Regular timing?"
Jay let out a barely audible sigh, his 1000th in the 45 minutes he'd been home. He wouldn't need too long. "Yeah."
"She will arrive in 30 minutes."
Jay ended the call.
He stood and made his way to his drinks cabinet, pouring himself some Hennessey before walking over to the window to take a sip, surveying the evening sky and awaiting his visitor.
The objective of the visit was purely for the purposes of release.
And as Jay's buzzer rang twenty-five minutes later, he knew that's all anyone who wasn't Her could offer him.

fansplaining 101
We’ve gotten A LOT of new followers on Tumblr and Twitter over the past week because of our SHIPPING SURVEY. (If you haven’t taken it yet, please do!) And maybe you’re just here for those sweet, sweet shipping stats, but maybe you are interested in checking out the rest of our work! We are well aware that with more than 100 episodes, articles, and analysis of our previous surveys, it is *a lot*, so we wanted to put together a little “where to start” post.
So! We’re @elizabethminkel & @flourish, and we have been creating the “Fansplaining” podcast for nearly four years (!!), since we met on a panel at San Diego Comic-Con in 2015. Elizabeth is a fan culture journalist, Flourish works on fandom-related stuff in the entertainment industry, and we’ve both been in fandom—especially fanfic/transformative fandom—for more than two decades.
(Image by the increeeedibly talented @redgoldsparks)
Everything is over at Fansplaining.com; each episode has audio, show notes, and a full transcript—you can find the entire back catalogue here. Our articles—on subjects like Mary Sues, works in progress, corporate-driven fandom, the etymology of fannish words, and the patriarchal affordances granted to the creators of sanctioned add-on works that people still manage to (pejoratively) label ‘fanfiction’ :-))—are found here.
You can certainly start listening from the beginning, but if you want some jumping-off points:
1) THE DISCOURSE TRILOGY™
Last fall we did a trio of episodes on some ~fraught topics~ in the broader fandom sphere:
1a) Purity Culture
Perhaps the messiest of all discourse topics, we try to untangle anti culture, conversations around shipping and morality, and the way it intersects with—or clashes with—stan culture.
1b) Age and Fandom
We look at a lot of different aspects of age and ageism in fandom, from what’s deemed acceptable fannishness past a certain age, what isn’t, and the way those ideas are gendered.
1c) The Money Question
One of our very favorite topics!! On the monetization of fanfiction in particular, from the explicit anti-monetization policies on AO3 to Wattpad’s experimental models connecting fic writers to the pro publishing space.
2) Kenyatta Cheese
One of the founders of Know Your Meme, @kenyatta currently runs Everybody at Once, the company behind the social media accounts for Doctor Who, Orphan Black, and more. HIGHLY recommended for anyone interested in fan/creator interaction, particularly the moment when he politely drags Marxist frameworks in fan labor discussions.
3) Shipping and Activism
Is shipping activism? No—but it’s complicated. Dr. Rukmini Pande and Dr. Lori Morimoto (@tea-and-liminality), both fan studies scholars, come on to discuss the thorny intersections between representation, activism, and shipping, especially around conversations about race and queerness.
4) Stephanie Burt
Stephanie is a poet, Harvard professor, and longtime X-fan, and every time we asked her a question, she said, “Well...I have a two-part answer,” which meant we soon found ourselves with a two-part episode. We especially recommend her discussion of taste cultures and situating your criticism in part one.
5) User-Generated Content
Fandom is full of people creating things for free. The media and entertainment industries benefit from that labor—but does that mean fans are at fault for creating and sharing their work? What is exploitative—and what is just fans having fun?
6) Fangirling Through Time
An early favorite (in more ways than one): fan studies scholar Evan Hayles Gledhill discussed their research on Victorian sentiment albums—a sort of proto-Tumblr—and other types of gendered fannish expression from the period.
7) Race and Fandom
Probably our biggest episode(s) to date! In this two-parter we hear from ten fans of color about race and racism in fandom. Featuring: Dr. Rukmini Pande, @clio-jlh, @harlequinn823, Shadowkeeper, @ninemoons42, @stitchomancy, Jeffrey Lyles, @rozf, Traci-Anne Canada, and @zvilikestv.
8) Javier Grillo-Marxuach
@okbjgm has been a television writer, producer, and showrunner for decades (from Lost to The Middleman to The 100) and has been on both sides of the fan/creator divide. (He also liked being on the podcast so much that he was our first special episode guest! We discussed his Downton Abbey & Indiana Jones crossover fic :-))
9) The Truth About Toxic Fandom
There have been no shortage of hand-wringing articles in recent years about “toxic fandom.” We try to unpack myth from reality—is any of this new? And is any of it unique to fandom?
10) A Fangirl Goes to Hollywood
We’ve had many fantastic guests talk about navigating the fan-to-pro transition, but @brittalundin, a writer on Riverdale and the author of the fandom YA novel Ship It (which she discussed on a later episode) is an excellent place to start.
#fandom#fansplaining#please note these are not ~our favorite guests~#because ALL OF OUR GUESTS ARE OUR FAVORITES

Okay before I dig into the episode I need to let people know ahead of time that I’m a big fan of the show but I’m also more of a casual fan, having watched the entire show in one month in November 2017. So if you’re wondering why I’m probably not screaming in rage that’s a big reason. Also the Last Jedi haters venomous actions have pretty much tainted any if all fandom drama for me though I was already growing exhausted of that.
THAT BEING SAID....I’m deeply disappointed in how Jaime’s arc and seeming “end” was handled. I mean granted when he said “I don’t care about innocent people” I’m pretty sure he’s bullshitting because for eight seasons straight Jaime’s been “I Don’t Care But I Actually Care Immensely” but the rest of it I wasn’t a fan of. Feels like a disservice to the poor guy. And though he seems dead, knowing this show and how they’ve brought at least two people back (Sandor and Jon in Season 6) I won’t believe he’s dead until I see it in the final wrap up next week. One of those rare cases where I understand the fan outcry against this particular plot point.
I think also the shortage of episodes has backfired on D&D and the director team in a big way. But that will be getting it’s own post because of how much I want to talk about so be on the lookout for it in this week.
Outside of that, this episode started out meh and than gained some much needed momentum when the final battle occurs. That entire sequence was worth the price of admission. Gleganebowl happened and it was glorious. I mean if Sandor’s gonna go out, he at least went out like a fucking badass. At least he got to see his little bird before the end (my inner Sansan shipper right there). Arya of all people actually got really good development. And while Varys may not have his balls, he took his death with dignity. No screaming or anything. Ya got my respect Varys.
I was not shocked to see Daenerys go mad since they’ve been foreshadowing this since as far back as Season 2 and especially from Season 4 onward. This is foreshadowing that actually payed off and worked. Emilia Clarke’s acting was fantastic in this episode. Probably her best work on the show in a while.
The scene with Tyrion and Jaime was arguably the best dialogue scene in the entire episode and hands down one of the best. Euron’s over the top ham will surely be missed. Bizarrely, a fanfic of the show from 2014 actually predicted Euron and Jaime would fight and Jaime would kill him. Like it’s kind of scary.
So those are my quick, broad thoughts on Episode 5. It’s an improvement over episode 4 in a lot of ways but it’s also got a lot of problems. The writings a mixed bag of really good and not so great. Shame because this episode did a lot right but also wrong.
However regardless how you feel about the episode, Miguel Sapochnik did a masterful job directing this episode. For his final round for the show, he went out with a bang. The direction in this episode and the tracking shots are extraordinary. Fabian Wagner also vastly improves in terms of cinematography because the cinematography in this episode was spectacular, with tons of beautiful shots and arguably the episodes most powerful scene at the very end being told through visuals. Damn good work from Sapochnik and Wagner.

finished the stone sky. scroll fast through this one if the read more isn’t working. it’s a long one and full of spoilers.
SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS
The Stone Sky feelings… hard to sift through.
The last battle between Essun and Nassun was very well-written. Super dramatic and action-packed and somehow I followed all of it, even though it was an abstract battle of magical wills and energy-harnessing, basically?? Very easy to write badly, and Nora wrote it very well. My mouth was literally open and I felt my heart pounding, listening to it.
At the end of all things… I feel so hollowed out and like I lost so much.
Essun lost HER WHOLE BODY by the end. Like, she lost herself piece by piece. Only way to get something good is to destroy the bad and rebuild something brick by brick. Was Essun too broken by the world to go on? Isn’t Nassun? Was there a particular moral of Essun's story, or was that just The Way Things Are? I love her resilience and overwhelming strength and stubbornness in the face of so much loss, and I admit I don't understand her final choice to be bested by Nassun, to give up and let her kiddo decide the fate of the world. Unless Essun had no choice and Nassun was too powerful? But the text clearly makes it volitional. I guess she makes the choice to save her daughter's life if she can do nothing else.
I feel like we didn’t *exactly* get a conclusion for Nassun. I wish I could have had a glimpse of her future, bonding with Danel maybe, some inklings of becoming a lorist? Even that might be too much. But some indication that someday she could heal. I’m grateful that Nora didn’t labor over a long denouement, but I guess I need to write some fanfic or something to soothe my aching heart. SO MUCH SHIT happened to this clever, compassionate ten year old.......
I wanted…. Another Alabaster mention at the end. Even though he was never the focus of the story. But I wanted him and Essun to meet again, maybe. I really do love how Nora wrote Alabaster as gay, but loving Essun. I honestly empathize with him very deeply, as a (NO GENDER LABEL FOUND, AFAB & ONLY WANTS TO BE IN RELATIONSHIPS WITH WOMEN) who has several loving, deep friendships with men, including having sex with men. Alabaster’s character reflected my own experience. The way he thought about Innon and Essun in his journal entries in Core Point….. ahhh the feelings.
This book buried a lot of dudes and comparatively fewer women. Innon, Alabaster, Corondum, Uche, Jija, Lerna. Cutter, too, tho he was a more minor character. That one boy in Found Moon that Nassun stoned. And finally, poor Schaffa. That contributes to the hollowing-out feeling. It’s such a crude comparison, but I’ve never read a book series except for Game of Thrones that killed so many characters that I cared about. But unlike Game of Thrones, all these men were actually important to one character - the main character. I feel like *I* lost like a half-dozen men who I loved, or maybe disliked but still appreciated them.
I deeply appreciated a story about a character who moved on after loss after loss. It defied stereotypical story structure. Usually a character has one true love, one great loss, one phase of being a parent. But in this series, Essun’s world ends again and again. And you keep moving, even when it feels like you’ve lost everything. But it felt torrential, ceaseless. Never read such a fuckin bleak book series. Which is why I appreciated Castrima so much, and Ykka in particular!
Castrima is such an inspirational post-post apocalypse society. Ykka’s grounding presence is inspiring. The people have been through so much and care for each other. The casual, wholesome bisexuality, polyamory, monogamy, and romance for transgender characters – healing! Fantastic! Creating a vision of how orogenes and stills could live together and help each other. And I loved how much about Castrima was day-to-day management. “Shit, there’s a food shortage.” “Ugh, somebody’s gotta learn how the water treatment process works.” “Hmm, a lady got pregnant and wasn’t supposed to.” Like, I study public administration, and these day-to-day problems of leadership and resource management are vital and dear to my heart. Ykka is the kind of leader I aspire to be. A testament to the fact that this IS a kind of hopeful story, despite everything, is that Ykka and Castrima made it out alive.
The satisfaction of the second person being Hoa telling Essun her story back to her is sort of growing on me. I never questioned the second person, maybe because I’m a Homestuck? The trauma/PTSD thing just made sense for me, plus I talk to myself in the second person, too. But Hoa telling her story back to her was a neat addition.
The stone eaters being super unresolved…. That’s kind of painful for me. Did I want them all to die? Guess not. No easy resolution to be found there. But I guess they get to influence the events of the new world, just like humans do. Non-stone eater humans? Hoa regards himself as human, or perhaps as a person. At first the Syl Anagist chapters were hard to get into, but I really liked learning about the stone eaters’ world. Managed to tell a very exposition-heavy story while keeping it a story, not just codex entries. Codex makes me think of the fact that DAMN the story of the Fulcrum/orogenes really is the ascended version of the Circle of Magi / mages in Dragon Age. I know Nora has played these games and they were probably an influence, but everything that was sloppy and confusing about the mages felt taken to its logical conclusion by the treatment of orogenes. By stills and by guardians.
We spent a lot of time with Schaffa only to kind of drop him at the end a little bit. Again like with Alabaster, I know he wasn’t the focus of the story, but he was a POV character. Did he speak to Nassun again, before he died?? Did he get more minor moments of caring for Nassun, especially after she had to grow up so very fast to take care of him?
Sliiiightly repetitive writing. Take a drink every time someone shakes their head, not in negation, but in confusion. Take a drink every Tonkee blinks, or Nassun bites her lip.
That said, the overall pacing of the book was very good and I feel that’s pretty hard to pull off when you have so much exposition to convey, and three main characters to keep track of. Kept me wanting to listen, even when the content was super bleak. The whole Broken Earth series really excels at that.
END SPOILERS END SPOILERS END SPOILERS END SPOILERS END SPOILERS END SPOILERS END SPOILERS END SPOILERS END SPOILERS
These are just my initial thoughts. Grateful for this very good book, and very good trilogy. Very inspired by its imaginative world, characters, allegories, and plot. Also, um, sad.

Get To Know Your Author
Tagged by @eastofthemoon!
1. How did you come up with your username and what does it mean?
There’s a book called Dove Isabeau that I loved as a kid, and also I loved the movie Ladyhawk, and Isabeau was one of the main characters.
2. Which fanfic of yours has the most feedback? (bookmarks/subscriptions/hits/kudos).
Room with a View (although Can’t Take the Sky From Me was a very close second - I had to do actual math to figure it out; I’m impressed I remember how to math.)
3. What is your AO3 profile icon, and why did you choose it?
I don’t have one. I never bothered to upload it. If I did, it would be the same as the one for this account. It’s my cat Nibbs laying on my foot not long after we found him in my parents’ backyard. I use it because he’s cute and fluffy, and because I don’t like pictures of me floating around the internet.
4. Do you have any regular/favourite commenters?
I love all my commenters! It’s always exciting to get the notice that someone took the time to comment and I go back and reread them all all the time.
@maychorian has commented on a bunch of my Voltron fics (almost all of them I think), and I’m always super excited when I see her comments because she leaves such excellent and well thought out ones.
5. Is there a fanfic that you keep going back to read again and again?
Hound by story_monger I come back to because it’s so well done. The writing is fantastic, and the sense of suspense is amazing, and I really love the way it dealt with different layers of trauma and wove together the way past trauma continued to impact how present trauma was processed and dealt with. Plus the team was wonderfully tender with Keith, and he got cuddles.
Hyggelig by heyheroics I’ve gone back and reread a couple times. It is an example of the ever rare, non-romantic Keith and Lance center story. Well written and even though it’s not finished, the chapters read as short stories, so I’m not left with cliff hangers. I’m always excited when it updates.
I reread pieces from @maychorian all the time, particularly from the Boom Crash series and the Dream Seam series (*whispers* a lot of the time I skip straight to the cuddles. She writes the best cuddles.)
The Raised by Lions series by @eastofthemoon I like to go back and reread. Red and her strange furless cub are super fun to read about, and then Shiro comes along and there is even more fluff and cuddles.
Basically there’s a shortage of platonic fluff and cuddles in the Voltron fandom and when I run out, I go back and re-read my favorite cuddles.
6. How many stories are you subscribed to? How many do you have bookmarked?
I have like 12 bookmarked and 4 subscriptions. I always forget that’s a thing you can do on AO3.
7. Which AU do you find yourself writing the most?
.... so many. I’ve been working on The Five Lion Cafe au lately, trying to finish up the next one (almost done *fingers crossed*), and Mermaid Rescue and Rehab Inc. is up next on my list to finish, so I’ve been picking on that.
I’d like to get back to Babe’s in Space at some point. I have general outlines for lots of short stories in that AU, and there actually is a bigger over arching plot if I ever get to it.
8. How many people are subscribed and bookmarked to you in total? (you can view this on the stats page)
91 subscriptions and 992 bookmarks
9. Is there something you’d like to write about but are afraid of people judging you for it? (Feeling brave? If so, share it!)
Mostly platonic physical intimacy, just because I don’t want to deal with it being labeled as romantic or shippy (I guess that’s not so much a fear of being judged as just not feeling like dealing with other people’s reactions). Once something is posted, you have no control over how it’s received or interpreted. That’s just the nature of publishing something; you have to let it go (or drive yourself crazy trying to force people to see it only the way you want, which is just not worth the time or energy).
Because of that, I sometimes pull back from writing a scene as intimate as I’d like, or I choose a slightly different approach to it, just because I don’t want to deal with seeing it labeled as a ship in the tags and comments.
10. Is there anything you would like to be better at? Writing certain scenes or genres, replying to comments, updating better, etc.
Action sequences and creating suspense. It’s hard to translate the movie-like images in my head into words for action sequences. I watch a lot of youtube videos for reference when I’m trying to write them.
And suspense, when done well, is just a great thing to be able to do. It keeps the reader engaged and makes the piece more exciting.
Also replying to comments! They mean so much to me, and I’m so terrible at replying.
11. Do you write rarepairs or popular ships more often?
Not really? I guess Ronin and Tara from Epic qualify as a rarepair just because the fandom for Epic is so small. I think the idea of Ezor and Kolivan from Voltron being a crack pair (not one that ever would or should show up in canon) is hysterical, but I haven’t written anything for them yet.
I really just don’t ship much in general.
12. How many stories have you posted on AO3 to this day (finished and unfinished)?
As of December 22, 2018, I have 49 stories up on AO3, all of them finished. I never start posting a story unless it’s already done.
13. How many stories do you have saved in/with your writing program?
So, that’s really hard to calculate. For every fandom I have what amounts to a dump document where I write random scenes and stories that I’m not sure will go any where, in addition to that I have:
Epic - 14 docs, most of those are probably single stories
ROTG - 9 docs, but I don’t think I separated out many of the WIPs from my main dump doc, so there’s probably more WIP there.
Voltron - 15 docs, but some of those documents are for series, so there’s might be multiple WIPs in the document.
And that’s just the unfinished stuff. I didn’t include the stories that are done. I usually keep those on my hard drive too because I don’t trust the internet not to suddenly eat my work.
14. Do you write down story ideas, or just keep them in your head?
I keep them in my head way too often, then go back to stories I’ve set down for a couple months (or years) and don’t remember what was going to happen. I’m trying to get better about writing out at least a general outline for stories so that doesn’t happen.
15. Have you ever co-authored a story?
I have co-authored with @eastofthemoon and @ladydouji. I’m kind of a flake about writing though and I’m really bad at keeping deadlines with something I just do for fun, so I don’t team up very often.
16. How did you discover AO3?
Google search for fanfiction because there wasn’t enough decent stuff on ff.net.
17. Do you consider yourself to be a popular or famous author in your fandom(s) on AO3?
I don’t think so? I don’t pay much attention so I don’t have much bases for comparison.
18. Do you have a nickname or fandom name for your readers?
Nope.
19. Was there an author who inspired or encouraged you to write?
I read a lot growing up (not so much now - grad school does a really good job burning you out when it comes to reading). I loved fantasy mostly, and a little bit of sci-fi, although that’s never been a super sharp distinction for me.
Patricia McKillip is my favorite author. I absolutely love the way she writes and the way she crafts stories. I really enjoyed Jane Yolen, and Bruce Coville too.
20. What writing advice would you give to a beginning author?
I really like Neil Gaiman’s 8 Rules of Writing.
The most important thing you can do is write. Get the words on the paper. That’s really the hardest part. I like his last rule best though “Write your story as it needs to be written. Write it honestly and tell it as best you can.”
21. Do you plot out your stories, or do you just figure it out as you go?
I usually know where they’re going (in my head at least, by the time I actually start getting words on the page), but sometimes they end up taking unexpected turns or new scenes show up out of now where while I’m writing. That’s part of what makes writing exciting.
22. Have you ever gotten a bad comment on a story? If so, what did you do?
Nothing terrible, but a few (at least one of which went over my head until years later because they were being sarcastic).
I find I have an increasingly low reserve of energy, and things like that are not worth spending it on. I just ignore them.
23. Is there a certain type of scene that you have a hard time writing? (action, smut, etc..)
Interpersonal conflict! Why would these two normally rational people who care about each other let a thing escalate to the point of them actually fighting over it, or having it damaging their relationship, or coming to blows over it? And how do I write that in a way that doesn’t sound contrived and is in character to everyone involved.
24. What story(s) are you working on now?
Right now I’m working on finishing up the next Five Lions Cafe story, and also working on the last of the Mermaid Rescue and Rehab series.
I’m also working on a story that is probably going to be called Bad Moon on the Rise, and is focused on Lance and the Red Lion’s bond (and also has quintessence vampires).
25. Do you plan your next project(s) before you finish your current ongoing story(s)?
Yes! My brain never stops planning stories. Never.
26. Do you have a daily writing goal set for yourself?
Not really. Sometimes I’ll got through stretches where I write a lot, and other times my brain just melts and refuses to make words.
27. Do you think you’ve improved as a writer since you first started?
Yes! Even just going back a few years, but I’ve been writing since I was in elementary school, so there has been a great deal of improvement from the epic and fully illustrated “There are dinosaur ghosts living in our playground” that I wrote in first grade (and tried to convince my teacher was true).
28. What is your favorite story that you’ve written?
It’s actually not even up on AO3. It’s the only Narnia fanfic I ever wrote, and it’s called Refuge. One of those things that just felt unfinished and unaddressed in the Prince Caspian movie, and I like how I addressed it.
29. What is your least favorite story that you’ve written?
*Snorts* Thankfully lost to the great ether of individual fan sites that no longer exist, I had some CATS fanfics that were pretty terrible.
There’s also some Ronin Warriors stuff, and I think some stuff from the original Voltron dub, that’s pretty terrible, but I don’t have the heart to take down because people were actually kind enough to leave nice comments on them.
30. Where do you see yourself (as a writer) in 5 years?
The same, but hopefully better at it. I don’t really have any aspirations to be a professional writer. I’m happy just doing it for fun.
31. What is the easiest thing about writing?
The stories!
32. What is the hardest thing about writing?
Putting the words on the page!
33. Why do you write?
Because it’s fun! And challenging! And it gets the things in my head out of my head!
Tagging: anyone who wants to. I think all the people I know on tumblr have already been tagged.

After three days of endless rain and two next days, which were announcing something closer to the apocalypse rather than recovery of weather, the sun finally broke through heavy lead clouds and flashed majestically over St. Petersburg. Finally, because walks with Makkachin stopped to be series of unwanted baths and started to be pleasure. Victor and Yuuri took the opportunity and went to the Winter Palace, just three kilometers away from their home, to enjoy remnants of the golden autumn.
And that was really something to admire. Of course, the palace itself was impressive, but due to the weather, the nearby park became the main attraction of the day. Although this afternoon was extremely warm, inevitable temperatures of autumn massively transformed trees into colorful torches, burning in yellow, red or rusty. Those overripe leaves, whose time had already come, took off from twigs and flew to the ground, spinning in their farewell dance. The late October sun shimmered as sharply as if it wanted to give its final show before falling asleep in the winter and plunging the city into famous, pitch dark St. Petersburg's nights. So far, however, the day was at its best, allowing Mother Nature to give a performance no less spectacular than those presented by skaters on ice. Makkachin was snapping his jaws, trying to catch the late Indian summer and fluttering leaves in his teeth and the people walking around the park were reacting to him with laughs. Two skaters walked just behind the happy poodle, holding hands as tight as if they didn’t want to get lost in the whole sea of crunchy, crusty and rustling leaves under their feet. Maybe it was hard to find meadows covered with spring flowers in St Petersburg, but at least this few lovely parks, which were scattered over the city, were full of romantic autumn landscapes. Even so, the fiancées took only half of their attention to charm of nature, because the face of the other person and their love gazes were making up every shortage of scenery. The warm silence was disturbed by one funny accident. Makkachin was still jumping like crazy, trying to become the first dog-glider in the world, but at some point he overrun his powers and fell like a real torpedo right in a small pile of leaves which some children had heaped up near the sprawling maple. Victor chuckled, released Yuuri's hand from his and rushed behind sneezing pet, shouting with pride that he must teach him to jump a real quadrupole flip. Master’s dog should use only masterly techniques! They say that the apple doesn't fall far from the tree - in the middle of golden "fall" this proverb has gained a special meaning. And especially in the context of "falling". Yuuri apparently guessed with a sixth sense what his fiancé was going to do and exactly before the Russian skater had managed to jump over the pile of leaves left by their poodle, Yuuri exclaimed. “Victor, it's slippery ...!” Too late. Like pet, like owner. Victor’s leg was moving forward and he, in his last skating instinct, fell on his back directly into the mound, raising a small, colorful geyser of leaves in the air. That was two zero for the heap against the Katsuki-Nikiforov family. Slowly falling leaves danced over Victor's head. Variety of colors, like autumn’s fireworks, flickered before blue eyes, and the warm, dry rain fell so abundantly that the random chestnut leaf flew to his face, covering the whole view. Fortunately, this didn’t take long, because after a while Victor heard the rustle of approaching steps and some seconds later a shadow appeared over his stretched body. Someone gasped, crouching over and then... A warm hand took the leaf off Victor’s nose and… Brown. Deep and shiny like oak leaves. Like eyes of laughing Yuuri who knelt near the top of silver head and when he just saw that everything with Victor is ok, he shook his head with disapproval. Victor did not believe that exist eyesight more beautiful than Yuuri's, even when he saw in them a flash of amusement. Victor was able to make some magnificent metaphorical comparisons of this brown color with color of amber or melted chocolate, but the truth was that the greatest compliment was those eyes themselves. Gold. Bright and glistering like lime leaves. Like a ring on Yuuri's warm-hearted finger when the men brushed his silver hair down from his brow and tucked them behind his ear. Gently, with care. Katsuki could laugh, he could mock so much as he want, but his gestures always betrayed him. So the engraving on rings, which has the shape of a split snowflake, connecting two skaters with no less power than the promise of a marriage when Yuuri won the next Grand Prix Final. And he will do it. This year. For sure. Red. Intense and pure as maple leaves. Like Yuuri's mouth when he spoke with the most lovely way in the world, whether it was sweet, unplanned words or some meaningful messages. True, Victor did not have a global comparison, he didn't actually have it at all, because he had never walked with anyone in the gardens of the Winter Palace, holding hands and fooling around in the heap of leaves... But with unshakeable confidence he knew there was no wonderful voice coming out of equally wonderful lips. “Crazy," Yuuri whispered, looking at Victor and trying not to drop his glasses from nose. Victor didn’t deny it. After all, he was crazy in love from the beginning. “Never do that again. If you had died here, I wouldn’t have been able to explain how living legend who performed the most difficult quad flips was killed by some childish jump. I think I'd have to bury you under that pile of leaves.” Victor started laughing. He spread his arms to both sides, not bothering himself with a completely open coat or a brown Japanese scarf that tickled his cheeks, and so he enjoyed his happiness. No, not for the reason that he survived, although it was not so completely meaningless. It was mainly cause of a touching feeling that warmed the chest when someone familiar lips clung to his forehead. That for sure was love - because none of autumn sunlight was as bright and warm as the kiss of the one and only sun of Victor's life.
***
I wrote this fanfic based on the beautiful autumn fanart made by one of the most fantastic artist in fandom, minatu. It all started with the fact that she made a challenge on Twitter to describe situation in only 140 characters and of course I took part in it (and this is exactly the last sentence in my one-shot). Unfortunately, I'm not a type of person who can write very shortly so all in all I did a full scene. Not the first and perhaps not the last time... But I am also very, very grateful for an inspiration and I hope that I could show even a little of this fantastic autumn energy from fanart <3

In which it gets sappy
Tagged by the amazing @lethesomething!!
1. How did you come up with your username and what does it mean?
So uh. BS is actually short for bittersweet, but now it doubles as my in-joke for BS in whateverCourse -- hence the in. So BS in oranges.
Then it’s bittersweetoranges because i read this fic called bittersweet and it was damn good to me at the time. Also my favorite fruit is orange.
...I’m bot good at giving names nor titles. Haha.
2. Which fanfic of yours has the most feedback? (bookmarks/subscriptions/hits/kudos).
Hm. Overall, that would be my KuroYachi one-shot The Lights in the Sky are Stars. It was sort of my love letter to the KuroYachi ship, and so I’m not entirely sure if I’ll be able to add on to it.
For subscriptions that would be my still unfinished brofest piece, The Thief, the Witch, and the Fae. This one is my bid at making an interesting take on certain characters and dynamics in a dark fantasy setting. Futakuchi is the lead if only because @haruhi02 accidentally gave me his name when I asked for random characters.
3. What is your AO3 profile icon, and why did you choose it?
A freezing link from Breath of the Wild. Well, why not? Haha. I love Link, I love Breath of the Wild, and when I resurfaced back on tumblr botw recently came out and also the free icons.
(the rest is under a cut because it’s long and sappy)
4. Do you have any regular/favourite commenters?
Well. I won’t name favorites. Frequent commenters tho... they’d be my friends from chat, so shoutout to @lethesomething and @haruhi02 because you guys are great.
To be fair, I don’t think I post frequently enough for people to keep their eyes peeled for me.
5. Is there a fanfic that you keep going back to read again and again?
Boy, do I. Basically anything in my bookmarks are the things I regularly return to read. Quite notable, however is anything by bigspoonnoya. God. I love her work. From the HQ to the BNHA to the YOI.
6. How many stories are you subscribed to? How many do you have bookmarked?
I bookmark more than I subscribed. Buuuuuuuuut I’m subscribed to a grand total of 4 works, and I’ve bookmarked 62 fics.
7. Which AU do you find yourself writing the most?
Fantasy. Hands down. There’s three-ish urban ones, then there’s two full-on fantasy pieces. The rest are slice-of-life.
There’s just something about fantasy that makes me really happy. It might be the freedom to make, or that I like using fantasy as a substitute for when I want to comment on current events. But usually I like writing things that are fantastical.
Someday I want to make write a slice-of-life that makes the mundane fantastical, and then vice versa. If only because it’s the little things that steal my heart and imagination every single time.
8. How many people are subscribed and bookmarked to you in total? (you can view this on the stats page)
Four wonderful people are subscribed to me, while 12 are subscribed to my stories. For bookmarks, I have a total of 24. ^^
9. Is there something you’d like to write about but are afraid of people judging you for it? (Feeling brave? If so, share it!)
Many of my topic matter don’t really make much, if any, waves -- at least that’s what I think. I’m only afraid I can’t do justice to my dark/fantasy elements, because that would be a real shame.
10. Is there anything you would like to be better at? Writing certain scenes or genres, replying to comments, updating better, etc.
First it’s definitely finishing what I start. My multichaps aren’t incredibly long, but I worry a lot about continuation and future chapters that it spoils writing the present one, so I hope to work on that.
Next is my exposition and narration. I can only say “Name smiles.” so much before I think I write in a horribly stale matter.
... Does writing romance or any sort of sexual or romantic contact count? Cause, boy do I need practice.
11. Do you write rarepairs or popular ships more often?
Is YamaYachi popular? KuroYachi? I’m pretty sure they’re an okay and accepted ship. But in any case the rarest pair I’ve written is KuroYachi, and then KamaFuta. Because those pairs need more content, and I’m pretty willing to fill them.
12. How many stories have you posted on AO3 to this day (finished and unfinished)?
I have 9 works in total. Five of which are completed oneshot, and the other four are unfinished multichaps. See the trend yet?
One of the finished oneshots is the longshot Nowhere in the Sea. It’s the first fic I finished in my whole 17 (at the time) years of living.
Of my unfinished things, one of them is an anthology (that I should probably close since I’m not planning on updating anytime soon) and then the three fantasy pieces that has a lot Worldbuilding™.
13. How many stories do you have saved in/with your writing program?
H A H A.
Hm. So, I switch between Google Docs, Sublime Text 3, and OneNote. But there’s a whooping 17 unwritten stories in various states of disrepair.
I’m most excited for the YamaYachi one, and also the sprawling ensemble cast one. :D
14. Do you write down story ideas, or just keep them in your head?
I mostly keep them in my head. So they flit in and out of my memory like deadlines. On the rare occasion that I’m possessed by the idea, I’l have written the idea down and then some on anything I find convenient at the time (laptop, phone, or paper.)
15. Have you ever co-authored a story?
Yes. @haruhi02 was my partner for the hq fantasy fest thing. She was with me when I finished my first ever fic Nowhere in the Sea.
16. How did you discover AO3?
I was friends with this author back in FF.Net, and she had an AO3 account. Then, I branched off her fics to read the FE:A fics.
17. Do you consider yourself to be a popular or famous author in your fandom(s) on AO3?
LOL. Of course not. I can say, with confidence, that I am probably obscure.
18. Do you have a nickname or fandom name for your readers?
Hm...
19. Was there an author who inspired or encouraged you to write?
Fun fact, the first fan fic I wrote was an unfinished novelization of the Swan Princess (Nest Family Entertainment), and then an illustrated re-telling of Barbie’s Princess and the Nutracker. I started seriously pursuing writing around... the grade 5, when my bully of an English teacher said I had a talent for writing. If I had any it remains to be seen. But it was my friends back on FFnet. The likes of Mafi, and Tune, and Loke. They were there for me during my baby days writing for a fandom. We weren’t in the same fandom, but they inspired me so much.
Also I really like Philip Pullman and J.K. Rowling and thought it would be awesome to publish and write books.
Today though, it’s my friends in the chat who continue to inspire me everyday.
20. What writing advice would you give to a beginning author?
I don’t think I’m qualified. But if I should, it’d be to stay strong and welcome to addictive cycle of happiness and misery. Because there’s nothing like writing that one perfect scene -- it’s worth all the stress and the struggle.
Also. Writing is like wine, it get’s better with age, but it doesn’t mean that you like wine.
21. Do you plot out your stories, or do you just figure it out as you go?
I plot a lot. Like a lot. But I throw out a lot through the window when push comes to shove. Sometimes I’ll outwrite what I’ve planned or plan something new and then I’ll get flung into a crisis. Haha. Fun.
22. Have you ever gotten a bad comment on a story? If so, what did you do?
The worst comment I’ve had is spam on Nowhere in the Sea. I just wish I had more comments. #NoShame.
23. Is there a certain type of scene that you have a hard time writing? (action, smut, etc..)
Smut. A bit of action, but action is easier than doing the sexy.
24. What story(s) are you working on now?
I’m focusing all my energy on Amor Fati, which is my gift for the fantasy exchange. I need to finish that because it’d be sad if I didn’t. And, most importantly, I want to make my giftee proud.
25. Do you plan your next project(s) before you finish your current ongoing story(s)?
The plan is to keep up with my plans. I have no shortage of plans. Hahaha. But I do plan on finishing up Amor Fati then finishing either Scales or The Thief, the Witch, and the Fae before moving on to other projects.
26. Do you have a daily writing goal set for yourself?
Nope. It would probably be better if I did, but acads just eats a lot of my time.
27. Do you think you’ve improved as a writer since you first started?
I think it’s arrogant to think that I did, but I guess I did. I was 13ish -- two years after fifth grade -- when I took writing more seriously... And looking back my writing style changed. ^^
28. What is your favorite story that you’ve written?
I love all my stories for different reasons. To be honest tho, it’s what I haven’t written and am yet to write. I love The Thief, the Witch, and the Fae for it’s dark and heavy atmosphere. Scales for its hesitance and its secrecy. Amor Fati for the melancholy and for its world. Nowhere in the Sea for being my first in a lot of things (but also it’s magic system and world gdi). Lights in the Sky are Stars for it’s sweet fluff. Class Pizza for its tomfoolery. So on and so forth.
As much as I have a hard time looking at my writing, I won’t deny that I love them for the things that they are and could be.
29. What is your least favorite story that you’ve written?
... Probably my anthology? It reminds me of bad memories.
30. Where do you see yourself (as a writer) in 5 years?
Here, still suffering but instead out of school (hopefully) and knee deep in some sort of job.
31. What is the easiest thing about writing?
The planning and the talking and the crying and the reading.
32. What is the hardest thing about writing?
The writing. Or maybe that point between the first scene and the third. Something like that.
33. Why do you write?
Why don’t I? Writing is me. I’ve did things for the sake of reference, I’ve devoted a lot of myself to writing and the idea of writing. I love it. It’s an amazing way to express.
I wouldn’t give it up for the world.
Sooo. For tagging. @spacegaykj and @astersandstuffs and @slothesaurus if you guys don’t mind ^^. Feel free to ignore if you want. Thank you for the time.
Also double tagging @haruhi02 because I can.
#ask me stuff#thanks for the tag#I didn't expect to be so sap#but you know acads just chewed me up and spit me out so that might be a thing#hahaha

CROSSOVER FANFIC TIME!:
I imagine a SuperWhoLock thing but with some His Dark Materials (with which I’ve been THOROUGHLY OBSESSED again lately) and Harry Potter thrown in. Toss in some Game of Thrones and you’ve got yourself a party! If I knew enough about Percy Jackson, I’d probably stick it in too: Lyra shows up and is INSTANTLY adopted by The Doctor (Thirteen). Ten likes her a lot, too. She’s fascinated by Sherlock and his ability to deduce things from the tiniest clues. It take the folks a little while to get used to Pan, though, with Watson almost having a heart attack the first time he hears him speak. She also loves the concept of Wizards (or as she calls Harry: “He-Witches”) and became fast friends with Hermione, wanting nothing more than to have her own wand. The things she tells the Winchesters (wether real or not, they’d never be able to tell) baffle the siblings and make them gap at her in amazement in more than one occasion. They particularily liked that her parents killed their version of Metatron, and Cas personaly would have wished to shake Asriels hand. Dean in particular enjoys the tales of Lee Scoresby and his sassy snow hare Daemon Hester, which Lyra tells most happily at ANY given chance. She was once seen dropping to her knees in front of Jon, though. When he asked what was wrong, she pulled the Alethiometer away and hugged him as tight as she could. Nothing could have prepared her for the story the Golden Compass would tell her about the bastard from the north...Or everything, and everyONE, he’d lost along the way. The Sisters Stark, on the flipside, offer her no shortage of admiraion, which Lyra returns tenfold.
Will warms up to Watson IMMEDIATELY, probably because of the resemblance to his own father (who looks suspiciously like Moriarty for some reason) and gets “adopted” by Twelve in a couple of heartbeats. Sherlock likes him too, though he wouldn’t be caught DEAD telling him that. Kirjava tries to occasionaly talk some sense into Ghost, so he doesn’t dissapear when Jon might need him, but often to no avail... That direwolf IS stubborn. Upon their first meeting, Will had no doubt in his mind that he was Jon’s Daemon. He does catch Watson staring at Mary Malone every once in a while... He feels there’s something there he doesn’t quite get, so he decides to leave it be. He finds Dean Winchester in particular a fantastic source of entertainment, and the two get along almost instantly. He spends a lot of time with Castiel, the though of his friend Balthamos still floating around in his mind. Cas doesn’t mind! He actually adores having someone like Will around! The Knife scares the living shit out of Eleven, for some reason, but other than that, they’re fast friends. River Song is probably the most level-headed person Will has ever met. He feels a kind of understanding with Bran... They were both underestimated at some point, but look at them now! One is a King! And the other... Well, spoilers! That would be a story to tell his mother, who Bran let’s him see through projecting, when he can. He wouldn’t tell him about the massive crush Arya’s got on him though... Not yet, anyway.
Since I’ve not more energy in me to keep writing this, I’ll leave some other notes here:
*Serafina Pekkala constantly asks Harry and Hermione magic related questions: How does it work where they come from, where do they train (she hears about Hogwarts and isntantly decides to become the new DAtDA Teacher), how they summon their Daemon (they call it a “Patronus”, but the meaning is the same) to save them from the Dementors, who sound so much like the Specters of Indifference... Some witches from her Clan crush on Harry and Ron instantly. Most others crush on Ginny.
*Sherlock DESPISES the Alethiometer with a passion ever since he accidentaly made it work. It just gives you all the answers! No fun in it, he says. Leastrade’s been trying to buy it off of Lyra since as soon as he heard of it. Sherlock does, however, enjoy the company of Kaisa, Serafina’s Goose Daemon, who often has very intellectual thoughts to share. The strangeness of talking to a snow goose is only surpassed by the belief that whenever this whole thing blows over everything will go back to normal and he’ll be the coolest thing around again. Hopefully.
*To put Mycroft’s face into words when he met Iorek would be to betray anything your imagination can make...
*Moriarty want’s to destroy the Compass, keep the Knife and steal the TARDIS. Him and The Master undersand each other on the spot, and get off to a fantastic start.
*Harry’s reaction to a talking bear was pretty calm in comparisson to Jon’s. Or Ron’s for that matter. At least Dragons didn’t sass you... And when the last giant talking animal you heard was Aragog, well... Things started off rocky between them, to say the least...
*Off all the Doctors, Twelve likes Shelock the most, while Eleven and Ten drive him NUTS, Five and Nine take kindly to Watson and Four and Mary Malone talk for hours into the night.
*There are no words to express Donna Noble’s exitement at a female Doctor, which is probably what prevents her from seeing Thirteen’s face when she’s around. River quite likes having a wife.
*Jon teaches Will swordfighting in return for boxing whenever they get the chance. Arya teaches Lyra, as well!
*Having another wonderful and capable woman adventurer/scientist named Mary around again is the source of MANY a passing glance between Sherlock and Watson.
*Bran tried to possess Pan and Kirjava once and got mind-kicked so hard he had to reboot his mind for a full day.
*Of all the crazy bullshit the Winchesters have seen, motorycle antellopes are DEFINITELY at the top of the list.
*The people of Westeros thought they knew fear... And then they saw Tormund riding Iorek.
Whatever you guys want to add to this, by all means, go ahead! I’d love some art of this (I can’t draw for shit) but only if you do it out of passion... I won’t be able to pay, so I won’t ask for the effort unfairly.
