AND these guys are like 3 huge rising pros nā€™ bros and they must hang out all the time outside of work once they graduate. I mean come on clearly all of class 1-A does; theyā€™ve been trama bonded for a long while now. and so Iā€™m just imagining the press asking for interviews between all of them once they graduate. And like obvi they gotta take their head PR manager with them. And like none of yā€™all look okay. Everybody is standing in the green room indulging in some nervous ritual.
Shotoā€™s PR arrives on time and always looks the most put together. Their charge doesnā€™t really have a lot of negative press besides property damage complaints and an inherited microscope under the public eye, which is still enough to take down the most charming young hero. Really focuses on getting him to be receptive to the press bc when he does he does it really well. Sits at the table directly in front of the television, elbows on the table, leaned forward and not peeling their eyes off the screen. Theyā€™re always have their hands together in prayer and swaps between that and gesturing at the screen giving unheard encouragements at the screen, like a mom on the sideline at their kids event. ā€œYes! Get in there tiger!ā€ Is definitely their catchphrase. Always looks impeccable and is genuinely the only PR of the three without semi-permanent eye-bags from stress and lack of sleep, but has an addiction to coffee. Always knocking it off the table in excitement when Shoto manages to bud in. Carries around a comb and hair gel as well as a lint roller in their bag. Always gives their charge a final glance over; hair, lint, water, breath mint. Shoto seems to enjoy the last minute flittering preening. Never complains, about it. Always mentions lunch as they do it. Generally wears a signature trouser and blazer set. Smooth fabric zero creases. The favorite is definitely a light pink set paired with a white turtleneck. Really matches the brand colors in a very causal way. Shoto has an extremely successful merch line!! Never brings an actual jacket bc Shoto is more than happy to be reduced to a personal heater when youā€™re in the building. Books him a lot of different modeling gigs because heā€™s got a face that only every mother, father ( minus his own), man, woman, child, baby, and dog would love. Doesnā€™t much understand why heā€™s got so many gigs. Very obvious to his effortless appearance, but enjoys them because theyā€™re usually pretty quick and he doesnā€™t have to do anything. Always calls you at the end of the shoots and relays how he think it went. Very cute hearing him try to avoid people on the streets. Often gets ambushed with the public asking for pictures and signatures at every opportunity. The agency has the pictures and magazines framed all over the place. Similarly likes to secretly swap out the photos you have of the two of you from his events with a signed copy that has the sweetest encouraging and grateful messages. And itā€™s almost always a treat to attend and watch bc Shoto invites you to literally everything, despite him being a very capable man in front of the public. He also frequently does photoshoots with Bakugou. Literally has every man and woman on set oogling them no matter what theyā€™ve been asked to put on. Easily talked into doing duo interviews with the other two boys. Surprisingly does well with either Deku or Dynamight. His even-temper and calmness really help level out the energy of their interviews.
Is not allowed to be in an interview with pro hero Tokoyami by himself. It gets way to philosophical and long-winded. Youā€™d managed to wrangle Midoriya into the mix to try and even it out - significantly worse. Is an excellent panel on new shows for serious hero issues. Very intelligent and very agreeable group or a bunch of conspiracy nuts. Is sponsored by several noodle companies by his insta profile full of him slurping down various restaurants noodles.
Shoto is mostly agreeable to any event or organization heā€™s invited too: at least for the first time. He does extremely well when he applies himself, has a vast and loyal fanbase, a gorgeous face and great heart, and is only a problem child when he wants to be. KEEP HIM AWAY FROM ENDEAVOR AT ALL COSTS
ā€”ā€”ā€”
Dekuā€™s agent always comes in last. After frantically texting and calling said hero hundreds of times in the lobby to remind him to be there and desperately tries to get him there in-time if not on time. The green pro would have almost zero work/life balance if his friends from school didnā€™t lovingly butt into his life every other week. They have an iPad worth of notes that theyā€™ve spent hours dutifully practicing and editing. Beautifully color coded, a clean minimal palette divided with color to help him remember everything. Very sleek, very prepared. Their eyes are glued to the thing in there lap as they nervously listen. Has accumulated a dozen or so different cans of energy drinks in their tote bag which is straining against the straps hung on the back of their chair. Theyā€™ve been plucking them out of Dekuā€™s hands all morning. The aspiring green hero already towards the top of the charts with an insanely powerful quirk and great co-op record making Deku work himself too hard. Thus, resulting in his PR sneaking around and snatching any disgusting can of caffeination out of his already-shaking hands. Always brings in an outfit appropriate for the interview because Deku is living in those t-shirts of his. Always looks terrified when his agent come up to him, shoving the dry cleaning bag and a pair of shoes into his chest. Throwing the clothes at him and demanding he change, somehow pushing the brick wall of a man into the dressing room. If you donā€™t snag him and fix his tie before he rushes into the set room youā€™ll rush in after him because Bakugou always insults his tie. And honestly heā€™s not wrong. Definitely always running after him trying to prepare him and make him presentable. Dresses exclusively in a pair of office appropriate sneakers so that they can keep up with him. Definitely looks like the frantic soccer mom whoā€™s always late. It just comes with the territory. Has one of those giant freaking water bottles and a whole make-up bag with towelettes and oil blotters, and enough stuff to remake their face if they need to. Also never without snacks and sandwiches in the car and bag, as Deku forgets to eat fairly often. Heā€™s always seen at the vending machines or riffling around through the snack bag. PR always shares the goodies with the other boys PR when they look like theyā€™re in for the long haul while waiting through events. Never seen even moderately relaxing. Always set up in the corner on the phone and laptop just frantically scheduling and networking away. Heā€™s in demand. Deku gets scheduled for everything under the sun, but definetly does more hospital visits and school visits than his friends. Adores talking to the kids and itā€™s so precious seeing the green giant bend down to softly speak to them all. Meanwhile, heā€™s also popular with the elderly and itā€™s equal parts cute and embarrassing for him to be doted on and have his baby face cheeks pinched between wrinkled fingers. Also attends all red carpet events. Itā€™s practically mandatory for him. Frequently takes you out to approve of his outfit. Must text about a gazillion times leading up until the event bc of his nerves. Once he gets there is pretty much goes silent and only then does his agent get a good night sleep. Scrolling through the good photos of him smiling and waving to everyone on the carpet. That and he usually sends his own text at the end of the night with any awards heā€™s received. He gets a lot! And always makes sure to include you first in his long winded thank you speech. Thankfully, youā€™re smart enough to stuff several different handkerchiefs and tissues into his suit pockets, or in your bag if heā€™s allowed a plus one!
ā€”ā€”ā€”
Bakugouā€™s PR is honestly a Saint. Straight up a Saint for dealing with his devilish behavior and attitude on and off the job. Has an ungodly talent for sweet-talking his ass out of trouble, but can also tap into some of that famous pissed-off mama bear energy when the press starts heckling Bakugou for something he doesnā€™t deserve. Creates and Sends the best apology letters on official Dynamight agency stationary, incredible apology/bribery baskets, and immaculate bouquets towards different organizations that he pisses off. Normally arrives early and paces around; always dressed very sleek and in all black. Has a bright orange Dynamight landyard with their multitude of press passes on at all times. Has the infamous purse flask, is sometimes seen taking a quick shot when they kick off recording and again anytime he starts mouthing off to the camera. Nobody dares take it away from you despite the rules. It may be the only reason youā€™re kept sane and away from strangling the man. Always keeping count on their fingers how many times heā€™s said a curse word. Already fingering through their wallet 5 minutes in to pay off for the foul language he used.
Fortunately never has to worry about Bakugouā€™s punctuality or his appearance. He knows how to clean up and does it just within a hair of too sexy every single time. Definetly forces you to carry around a selection of ties in your bag to help tone down the rugged handsomeness his possesses. Always grunts as you throw them all around your neck and start holding them up against his neck to gauge the one that matches the outfit best. Will usually pick out his own from your selection, but if heā€™s feeling particularly cheeky heā€™ll tie his and then lock eyes with you in the mirror and then proceed to insist that if heā€™s wearing one, then so are you. luckily black goes with everything, and youā€™re seen walking around the set the rest of the day with a tie.
Bakugou endures the same throngs of thirsty fans that the others have. Except most of Bakugouā€™s outfits warrant it. The ties only manage to get him to button up a little more; it doesnā€™t stop the fans. Although they definitely get feed their content bc Bakugou is pretty much good enough to be professional model. Has tons of modeling gigs. Is sponsored by a lot of athletic-wear companies and surprisingly enough gets his own line of ties. Something he has no care in the world for. Also makes a lot of good press encouraging mental health and does a lot of anti-bullying school work. Itā€™s a real turn around from his teen years and surprisingly itā€™s him that suggests the events at first with a scribbled note on your desk. Now he just marches into your office and pulls up the extra rolling chair and types into into his schedule himself while youā€™re squished into the corner on the phone or enjoying your lunch break. Also has his own cologne line that sells like hot cakes. Does not compare to the smell his natural musk leaves when you trail behind him in the office. Thankfully, Bakugou understands heā€™s a handful. Gifts you a lot of bonuses, vacation time, gift cards, and lots of day passes at the local spa.
ā€”ā€”ā€”
AND the three of you PRā€™s frequently meet together for a pro hero ranking party once a year! Pulling out all the stops, Dekuā€™s PR usually hosts and makes the best plate of finger foods, Shotos PR brings a plate of to die for cookies and other junk foods, and Bakugouā€™s PR uses their various press powers to get several exclusive livestreams and the whole gang bans together; TV, laptops, iPads, phones. Theyā€™ve got it ALL. The three of you are all subscribed to the same public speaking masterclass to try and help out your boys. It features tons of snarky comments, exhaustion, and a desk full of coffee cups as the 3 of you try to soak up as much as you can. You should get a reality show together.
Shotoā€™s and Bakugouā€™s PRs shared similiar heart attacks when their heroā€™s went on a dancing show heroes edition competition and they ended up winning the whole thing as partners, which someone did as a joke. But now they regularly get asked to judge to the show and itā€™s one of the most watched videos on the internet. Dekuā€™s PR almost died of laughter bc the poor bean was the first one eliminated off the show. He has absolutely zero dancing coordination. The two of yā€™all basically hung out together waiting for the others on set. Lots of popcorn and laughter shared as the PRs group plus Deku watched Shoto and Bakugou bicker nā€™ then turn around and dance like professionsals whilst carrying on a ā€œconversationā€ at yelling volume. Yes, Deku bought the seasons t-shirts for everyone. Theyā€™re prized possessions!! Overall, you guys become a pretty tight friends bc of your proheroes being so close and invited to all the same events. All of yā€™all are seen hustling together on the sidelines of galas and just watching your boys. Thereā€™s tons of pics of yā€™all all over the internet talking and smiling brightly. What? Itā€™s a great time to gossip!
So i ADORE the PR yn fics like they have the perfect blend of comedy, office tension, and romance *mwah* theyā€™re beautiful
And I definetly agree with the concesus that Katsukiā€™s PR has got it THE WORST. Like poor man is a PR NIGHTMARE. but honestly I think the class A big three are all PR problem children. like remember that one training exercise/interview thing they had going on right after Katsuki and Shotos getting their professional licenses? (at least I think it happened around then) Katsuki just swearing like a sailor. Shoto is being a cute little bean content to sit there but not actually contributing to the interview. And Izuku either freezes up under the camera or immediately sees it as an opportunity to info dump his latest obsession. Like hun none of these boys can give a proper interview šŸ˜šŸ˜‚
Not to mention these boys have insanely powerful quirks and can demolish those freaking ridiculous mini city training facilities UA has. like yeah Kats is definitely the worse, but I think theyā€™re also all struggling with some very parallel issues here

All hail Mira Iā€™m so psyched to read it and see the wcā€¦.trust I will be back here screaming my head off with commentaryā€¦.fr getting spoiled with your inaccurate wcs (MAKING OTOYAS LOOK SHORT??? BRO)
NO BECAUSE THAT IM SAYING??? Kaneshiro were claiming copyright for our ideas please pay us in a Karasu awakening
LMFAOO that panel visual is literally just hollyhock Otoya??? I think your blog may just be magical like the entire BLLK editorial/pr/creation team just stalking you atp but THE KARASU PANELS >>>>>> ugh he looks so GOOD I forgot to mention I noticed how in the headers of your fics youā€™ll have a (very aesthetically pleasing) mini collage of the character and now youā€™ve got more karasu materials for that HAHA
And FR really hope that theyā€™ll explore more duos and pairs in the future! I get that the popular matchups are usually there also for marketing purposes but it would fr be nice to see them interacting with others and maybe not just having like, 1 singular bestie LOL
Omg the Rin Sae parallel I see the visionā€¦.ugh someone bring Kunigami back I bet heā€™d have some really funny/interesting dynamics with other characters!! Another gentleman omgā€¦.theres just something in the Akita watersā€¦.
LMFAO Nagi just being there to hear the tea and listen to the gossip is so real like heā€™s not moving a MUSCLE to do anything heā€™s just enjoying the dramaā€¦.the few words he says plus both y/n and karasu being oblivious idiots is truly THE most chaotic scenario HAHA karasu being in such disbelief that any one of the wingman could give an exact description of him and heā€™d be like ā€œyou mean she knows another dude who plays soccer from Osaka whoā€™s tall has dark hair and is named after a bird???ā€
Omg talk about a strong pill LOL but YAY omg glad it was fun it sounds so cool!!! Minus the barfing part LOL (ok sorry but I have to ask was it MIDAIR?? Iā€™m just imagining you pulling out a bag while cruising over the scenery LMAO) and ohhhhhhh side effects that makes senseā€¦.i wonder if maybe a different brand would have less side effects? But yeah giving your doc a call sounds like a good idea! Hopefully they have a solution for you!!!
MANIFESTING BABY SO HARD!! I agree like seeing the little interactions between other players and people too he actually seems like such a sweet/pure boy? Like if he actually knew how to show affection or what it was I feel like itā€™d definitely show in his relationships in a wayā€¦.idk like the way he bonded with chigiri kinda quickly after the 3v3 in the second selection where theyā€™re like testing what heā€™s able to trap LOL Iā€™m trying to think of more examples off the top of my head but there were definitely moments that made me say ā€œomg wait??ā€ Seriously makes me wonder where people pull all those red flag headcanons from **their asses** but anywaysā€¦
Iā€™m crying imagine itā€™s wavy but because his parents dgaf they just go with the bowl it regardless so you just see the little waves and then at some point they just abruptly cut off (itā€™s giving likeā€¦..a pre-boiled block of instant noodles LMAO)
This is also kinda unrelated/unprompted but everyday Iā€™m thinking of when the next LN is gonna be announcedā€¦.im lowk trying to see at what intervals they announced the previous ones (iirc the one with yuki was announced pretty fast which caught me off guard so im hoping the next one comes soon!!!)
-Karasu anon
I LIKE AM ACTUALLY CLOSE TO FINISHING I THINK!! FINALLY FINALLY FINALLY!!! but then iā€™m going to have to try and squeeze proofreading in around vacation activities so itā€™ll still be a sec until itā€™s properly postedā€¦even then though i think the day is approaching šŸ¤© my hope is to have it done by karasuā€™s birthday at the very latest šŸ˜©
episode nagi manga panels always come through for my little headers!! iā€™ve started trying to experiment more beyond just having the basic three panel + lines setupā€¦the header for karasuā€™s version of bfb is the same as otoyaā€™s but with blue lines instead of green!! itā€™s fun to come up with different little graphics hehe i enjoy it as much as writing tbh
OUR CONVOS HAVE BEEN TAPPED BY THE CIA (bllk manga authors) they are onto usā€¦HOW did they know to draw otoya as an actual ninja??? did they read hollyhock??? šŸ˜³šŸ˜ŸšŸ¤ØšŸ«£ the manifestations go crazy around here fr
i agree that itā€™s def partially a marketing thing but also thereā€™s just sooo many characters that itā€™s probably hard to play out all possible combos naturally!! i pray for the day that kunigami actually does smth meaningful again and also for the whole wildcard thing to get explained šŸ˜” i feel like it was just an opportunity to create tension but it hasnā€™t been truly expanded upon so it just feels kinda random almost
HELP karasu is like ā€œ6ft tallā€¦speaks with a kansai dialectā€¦gets along well with peopleā€¦has unusual hairā€¦named after an animalļæ½ļæ½ļæ½YO HIORI šŸ¤”šŸ˜Øā‰ļøā€ (iirc hioriā€™s first name means sheep) i think nagi yuki and barou just give up at that point because bro is fr saying anything and missing the obvious answer sooo badly šŸ˜
IT WAS MIDAIR šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ˜ we drove to italy today and i took a diff medicine and i got so dizzy it was like the world was straight up cartwheeling šŸ˜° but itā€™s much flatter and smoother here so it should be good to go from here on out!! and yes i hope the doctors have a solution for it because iā€™m sure iā€™m not the first person whoā€™s had a similar problem ā˜šŸ»
i think for me itā€™s the way he was able to connect w zantetsu so quicklyā€¦like he genuinely just listened to him and didnā€™t judge unlike reo and literally everyone else, which is how team v trio was even able to function in the first place šŸ„¹ plus him w isagi and chigiri in second selection as well as his implied dynamic with karasu during the day off is just so CUTE to me like heā€™s honestly pretty good with people heā€™s just also really confused about it at times šŸ˜ idk maybe iā€™m biased because i like him sm but to me heā€™ll always just be awkward and standoffish because he doesnā€™t know any better/different not because he doesnā€™t care šŸ˜Ŗ
pov baby nagi had the niko haircut šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ’”šŸ’” nooo iā€™m manifesting a cute little way curly birdā€™s nest thing going on with like super round cheeks and big eyes šŸ˜©šŸ™šŸ» baby nagi w instant ramen hair will haunt my dreams though šŸ˜“ sleep paralysis demon fr
I NEED IT TO BE SOON AND I NEED KARASU AND OTOYA TO BE IN IT!! iā€™ll be sad because i do think a karasu ln will make some of my stories for him not as close to canon as they are rn?? especially bfbā€¦but a) how many people read the lnā€™s, b) theyā€™re already aus, and c) that just means i can write him even better in the future!! plus given our track record at manifesting things i think i should be pretty safe šŸ¤žšŸ»

Far Cry: New Dawn was a disaster, and hereā€™s why.
Okay, just to be clear - this is my personal opinion, not pure, cold facts that Iā€™m trying to push down peopleā€™s throats. I just felt the sudden urge to break down piece by piece my utter hatred towards this game. So, letā€™s go. What exactly went wrong with it, and why Far Cry 5 was way better? I will try to present my ramblings and point of view by putting both of these games side by side. So, when reading every sentence in this... thing, add in your head aĀ ā€œitā€™s veiā€™s opinionā€ bit to avoid misunderstandings. Thanks in advance! First thing, to make everything clear - Far Cry 5 was not a perfect game. No, actually, it was far from so; there are many games much better plot-wise, with more entertaining gameplay, bigger world, more interesting side quests and so on. But, one thing for sure, this game has a spirit, an unique aura that makes many people want to come back to it and replay it over and over. The way Ubisoft portrayed Hope County is absolutely fantastic - the music, the landscapes, the characters. It was something new, something fresh, and despite quite a lot sceptical voices when the first trailers came out, it turned out really well, and in general, people really liked this game, or loved it even. Yeah, some people hate the endings, the fact that every single one of them is bad one way or the other and that you canā€™t basically win (I always thought this was fantastic, because, hey, you canā€™t be a perfect hero every time - even so, I love how this game, Seeds especially, mock theĀ ā€œhero attitudeā€ that protagonist tries to have). But even so, Far Cry 5 was mostly a success, right? And the canon ending when the nukes get dropped seemed to leave a perfect opportunity for a sequel. So, what could go wrong? Well, about that...
1. How long is this game? New Dawn is short. Itā€™s fucking short, because I installed it right after it became available (fun fact, this was the first and the last game I ever pre-ordered, so imagine how excited I mustā€™ve been), and started playing it as soon as I could. In my case, it was around 2-3 am. I had a break then, woke up at 7 am and continued playing. I was playing it slowly - completing the side quests, because I wanted to know what has changed in Hope County, and, of course, I was looking for some easter eggs regarding the Seeds (surprised pikachu - there werenā€™t any, Old Compound, Johnā€™s bunker and Ranch are too obvious).Ā  Took me around 5 hours to move on and actually start playing the main story. I was pretty sure that it will take me at least 10-15 hours to complete it (why was I thinking so, donā€™t ask me, I guess I still have way too high expectations after what Witcher 3 expansions have shown me). Again, surprised pikachu! I finished the whole game in 16 hours. Sixteen. Including liberating all the outposts (1 star in each, didnā€™t bother to get 3) and finish all side-missions + driving around the County just to look around. The hell? And it wasnā€™t a DLC? Just for a little comparison, because, yes, FC5 can also be completed pretty damn fast if you rush it, but my 1st playthrough of it, with all the quests and admiring the landscapes took me 33 hours. Which leads us to the next point on this god forsaken list, and that is... 2. The map.
Tumblr media
The next reason why I am shocked this game wasnā€™t a DLC - the heckitty hecck they did with the map in New Dawn. Radiation zones? Sign me the hell up, they make sense, are cool and stuff, but adding them just so you could bite off half of the original map is stupid, and extremely lazy thing to do. Okay, you can take off some parts, but if youā€™re doing so, add something new - some new paths, caves, mountain routes, something. And no, expeditions donā€™t count. To make it worse, the parts that were deleted were one of the best parts of the FC5 storyline. Faithā€™s Gate, Drubmanā€™s Marina, Jacobā€™s Armory, Wolfā€™s Den, and the fucking Veteranā€™s Center. The opportunity to make this a haunted location with an entertaining quest in it was HUGE and it was absolutely wasted. Itā€™s not like they couldnā€™t done it, weā€™ve got the mission in old Josephā€™s statue, and the crocodile pikachu in Inquisitorā€™s Grave (which, by the way, shouldnā€™t actually exist - this bunker was blown up to pieces, but it seemed pretty decent in New Dawn, there are barely any sings of explosions, not to mention thatĀ ā€œThe Confessionā€ room is untouched!). You bought this game with an intention to actually go back in time and find out about something that FC5 didnā€™t tell you? Kekus maximus, you donā€™t. Have some photographs instead (which are a nice addition, but seem lazy). To give this post even more personal hatred - I really donā€™t like the Henbane River region, so you could literally hear my heart breaking when I saw that we got 50% of the River, 80% of the Valley and 10% of the Whitetails, which were my absolute favorite. So fun!
3. The Villains. I must admit, in the trailers, back when the hype for this game was insane, Mickey and Lou seemed to be quite interesting. Even though back then it was obvious that Highwaymen wonā€™t have that kind of depth that Edenā€™s Gate had, it was still something I was looking forward to, even though those vibes arenā€™t really my cup of tea; but most of my excitement was born from my love for Far Cry 5, so if course I had to try out the sequel. So yes, the trailers were quite nice (just not the live action one - that was a fucking disaster, and killed my hype for a few days afterwards).
Tumblr media
Mickey and Lou were quite fun, but to little extent, sadly. I liked their sister-sister dynamics, they really seemed close, and it was nice that shey were so different from each other - Mickey was more calculating, while Lou was living for the action and brutality in itself. The Highwaymen as a faction in itself wasnā€™t really that great for me, because their only purpose was to cause mayhem, and I simply donā€™t like something like this. But the sisters were something different, right? No, they werenā€™t, and thatā€™s the point. I felt like there was little to no depth in their actions - it was all for fun, and I find this just boring and pointless (pr maybe Iā€™m the boring one). I know that this is often how the world works - people take and destroy simply because they can and because itā€™s considered cool. We suck as a species, thatā€™s official and well known, but I expected something more entertaining from a videogame. Maybe I shouldnā€™t, but I did. And Mickey and Lou were literally Highwaymen members with a VIP crown above their heads and nothing more. They left their mother? Okay, that is something that could lead to other interesting things. They killed their father for power? Huh, alright, I can work with that. The point is, it didnā€™t give them that much depth, their main purpose was to plunder everything. Which would be all good and nice if they were some kind of a side-faction. But this was The Villainsā„¢, and I wanted to feel something more towards them. And to be honest? I didnā€™t even hate them. I felt absolutely nothing, they just existed and I didnā€™t care, because they didnā€™t make this game interesting. What I will say now may sound brutal, but I will say it: I donā€™t consider two young people (they were around 19/20) just wanting to blow everything upĀ ā€œfor lulzā€ a good villains. I fucking donā€™t. It was a huge downfall after what FC5 has given to us. I was just so bored when fighting the Highwaymen, because they were shallow, and their personalities were only focused on one thing.Ā
Of course, there is also Ethan. Yes, I hate him (he even has a very punchable face, what a coincidence!), but I admit he was somehow a nice touch in this game. Yes, he was a prideful, irritating kid, but while I was just utterly bored by the Twins, Ethan actually managed to make me hate him. The only thing that Iā€™m quite bothered by is that I donā€™t believe that heā€™s actual, biological son of Joseph. To put it shortly, and say it louder for the people in the back - The Twins were just meh. Boring. How was the situation in FC5 better? Oh boy.
Tumblr media
Putting their obvious... Attractive physical appearance aside, and focusing purely on their personalities, because thatā€™s what Iā€™m trying to explain - they were something else, and something new. Ubisoft took a risk with creating four villains for a single game, because itā€™s extremely hard to give each one of them the screentime they deserve, and make them interesting and unique. Did FC5 succeed? In a way, yes. Iā€™m not saying that Seeds are absolutely perfect villains (they arenā€™t), but they can eat Twins for breakfast and still stay hungry. To show you what I mean, have some short descriptions: JOSEPH: Cult Leader,Ā ā€œThe Fatherā€, a person who claims to hear the voice of God himself. Someone from a broken family and difficult life, who was in prison (according to song dedicated to him), lost one job after another, lost his wife, killed his daughter, and then formed a religious cult. JACOB: military veteran suffering from PTSD, with a massive knowledge about history and psychology, someone who literally brainwashed nearly half, if not more of the County, and manages to combine religion (something he clearly isnā€™t really fond of) and personal, darwinistic look on life. JOHN: former lawyer, a person skilled in adapting to any environment, charismatic manipulator abused as a kid, forced to spend most of his life pretending to be someone he hated to be, battled with addictions, emotionally unstable and with sadistic outburts. FAITH: young woman devoid of purpose in life, also battling with addictions in the past, probably on the verge of suicide at some point, who was manipulated (and quite possibly drugged) in order to comply; a broken girl hiding her pain behind lovely smiles. Sounds pretty diverse, right? And I bet that at least one member of this family was somehow entertaining for everyone. Now, hereā€™s what New Dawn has given to us: MICKEY: the more calculating sister; young girl who followed her father and chose brutal life, creating entertainment for herself by making others suffer. Shows some kind of regret when you defeat her by the end of the game. LOU: the more brutal sister; young girl who followed her father and chose brutal life, creating entertainment for herself by making others suffer. Doesnā€™t show any regrets towards her actions.
And honestly, thatā€™s it. I really tried to write something more for the Twins, but I couldnā€™t put my finger on anything. Thatā€™s all we know. And yes, I know that there is a major difference between them and the Seeds, which is the age gap - FC5 villains are simply older and have more life experience, but honestly, this doesnā€™t make it better. Mickey and Lou could have much more depth and be far more interesting despite them being young. Age is not a problem in such a case. I suggest to compare Mickey and Louā€™s descriptions with the Faith one, since sheā€™s just few years older. There is a difference, isnā€™t it? And even when playing both of these games, the Seeds just seem to be better developed than the Twins. Ubisoft did something weird, because they managed to focus on four villains and make each one of them interesting in their own way, but made just two main villains flat, and nearly identical. 4. Radio calls. This is a continuation of the point above, because itā€™s also something I wanted to point out and is connected to the villains of both games. The things you can hear directly from The Twins can be mostly described asĀ ā€œhey rabbit, youā€™re pissing us off a bitā€. Same with the things they say at outposts and direct them to the Highwaymen - itā€™s always aboutĀ the same thing, and there isnā€™t a single line that I found interesting or worth remembering (okay, my bad, the fact that Mickey and Lou seemed to be dissapointed after Nana chose to stick with the Captain rather than them was a nice touch). Meanwhile, I can recite most of the dialogue lines from the Seeds from my memory, and itā€™s something I could do after 2 playthroughs. They seem to be on a whole different level - and yes, it is true that to some point, theĀ ā€œrabbitsā€ thing is similar toĀ ā€œthe weakā€ theme of Jacob, orĀ ā€œthe sinnersā€ in case of John, but it didnā€™t seem to be that much tiring to hear about. Faithā€™s radio calls were interesting, because with each one of them you could hear her demeanor towards the Deputy changing - in the beginning, she was friendly, but after you destroyed Josephā€™s statue, she was scared, and at the final confrontation - maliciously hostile. Jacob started his radio calls history with a threat towards you, and kind off keeps that all the time, but the closer you get to the final meeting with him, the more... Okay, how the fuck do I describe it in a non-thot way amused (I guess we can call it this way?) he sounded. He was still far from friendly, you still didnā€™t have any doubts heā€™s your enemy, but there was something in those radio calls, something that suggested he actually sees the Deputy as something more than just enemy, as a tool he crafted all by himself and he was proud of it. John welcomes you with this cheesy ad at the beginning of the game, and as time goes on, he goes even more obsessed with making you atone and confess; not to mention his absolutely fantastic reactions to stealing his house and destroying his sign. His calls are something unpredictable, because once heā€™s all official and charismatic, but suddenly he switches to this ominous mode that actually makes you want stop for a bit and look around you, as if he was lurking somewhere. To sum it up, this game made you feel like if you were actually developing some kind of a relationship with each one of the family member. But the radio calls from the Twins seem to be always the same, itā€™s all aboutĀ ā€œrabbitsā€ andĀ ā€œproblem solvingā€. Yes, it might've been better if only one sister was all about it, and the other one had something else on her mind, but making them nearly identical was a lazy move.Ā  5. Landscapes.
Tumblr media
Far Cry 5 was amazing, because every region was different and had something else to offer. Henbane River was full of Bliss, which created weird hallucinations, Faith dancing around you was also pretty interesting addition, and The Pilgrimage was also a nice touch (I recommend going with it, itā€™s a really nice experience, actually). Holland Valley was the pure definition of Montana countryside, and it felt fantastic to walk around and see those little farms, cows, windmills and so on. Whitetail Mountains were also something unique, with less open spaces, a huge amount of wildlife, combining massive mountains with deep forests. And even though the colors of this game could be simply described as beige-green, I didnā€™t really feel bored when wandering around. New Dawn had a cool concept, actually - makind the post-apocalyptic world colorful, instead of making it a grey wasteland was something new and I was excited. And, honestly, I really liked how it all looked like during the first 2 hours of playthrough. After that... I was just so done. The pink colour in itself wasnā€™t bad, really, but the way they added it everywhere made me feel sick. Those flowers were nearly everywhere and they were always the same. And while I love screenshoting landscapes in games, New Dawn didnā€™t really felt like something I wanted to spend time on. I like to admire the views of FC5, but not in ND. Combining the small as hell map with nearly the same flowers on your every step was a bad solution. 6. Other. To mention other things - well, I guess we could mention the music, but I feel it isnā€™t fair, actually. Both games did this well in some way, FC5 songs are certainly something unforgettable, and I mean both the cult ones as well as the OST. New Dawn did what it could - gave Highwaymen music that fits them. The OST, however, isnā€™t that good. Maybe because it just doesnā€™t feel unique to me, while the different type of music in each region in FC5 is, for me, unforgettable in many ways.Ā  I wonā€™t really talk about The Deputy >> The Judge metamorphosis, because everyone sees it in a different way. I personally donā€™t consider it as a bad thing, itā€™s quite a nice plot twist, and I like it (even though I went with a totally different path with my deputy OC).
Okay, I think itā€™s time to get to the main point. Why I consider New Dawn as a disaster? The Villains were devoid of any depth and felt exactly the same, the map was small as hell, the story was way too short (and these two things should be enough to make this game a DLC, not an actual installment of the franchise), the landscapes were repetitive, 90% of what was left from FC5 (locations, for example) didnā€™t get a chance to shine. Just imagine how much more entertaining this game could be if we would find some old recording of the Edenā€™s Gate songs somewhere. If there were mentions of some terryfingly huge wolves roaming around, if the members of Prosperity actually mentioned something about John Seed (which house they are living in!), if we could visit the remnants of the Faithā€™s Gate, hear the ominousĀ ā€œOnly Youā€ when approaching the Veteranā€™s Center and read some old notes about experiments that were happening in there, and so on. Basically, the main opportunity that got wasted was focusing on continuating FC5 legacy in a more respectful way. The things I mentioned above seem like small details, but they really could make the experience something else entirely. So, yeah. I hate New Dawn, in case someone didnā€™t notice. :)

BNHA Ship to Finish the Year
KodaNuki (Kodai Yui x Honenuki Juzo)
Canon
When they graduate, they end up in the same agency.
The two are good friends, but they get closer when Kodai's PR asks Juzo for help.
Due to her resting unimpressed face, Kodai is not doing well in her publicity, so they ask him, who seems to be close to her, for help.
Juzo is supposed to talk to her, to try and convince her to smile more.
At first, he talks with her, trying to make her smile for the cameras. But it's very obvious she is not good at it either.
Her smiles look fake, and it looks like she is being coerced to be in the pictures and look happy.
It takes him a while, but he finally discovers a way to make smile, funny faces.
Yui Kodai, badass hero extraordinaire, giggles like a little girl if you make funny faces at her.
And Juzo's face, that makes the task of making her laugh easy.
The next time she has an interview, he places himself somewhere the cameras can't see him but where he is in direct line of sight with Kodai.
When the interview starts, whenever it's a good moment for her to giggle or smile, he starts doing faces.
It works. Kodai smiles, and the next day, her smile is plastered all over the city.Ā
But during that interview, something happened to Juzo. When he was making Yui smile, he couldn't help but feel like Kodai's smile was for him, and the two were the only people around.
It's like being hit with cupids arrow.
It's fast, it's unexpected, and it hurts.
Because when he gets the resolve to talk about their feelings, he finds her getting ready for a date.
He knew she had been chatting with Iida Tenya lately, but didn't know this was the direction it was taking.
He tries to be happy for her, but he doesn't like lying to her. But that changes when he learns that she will be moving away.
So, he tells her how he feels. He doesn't do it to make her break up with Iida or anything like that, he just wants her to know how he feels.
Kodai is confused, but she moves anyway.
A year later, they reunite in a class b reunion. Juzo is single, and Kodai broke up with Iida a month ago.
The two talk during the rest of the night, and then get coffee together at her place.
They don't start dating right away, since Kodai is still not over Iida, and doesn't think she is ready for another relationship at the moment.Ā
Juzo understands and they sort of agree that they are something, but they are taking it slow.
Four years later, they get married.
Family
Kodai's family is just her mom and her dad.
Unlike her, the two are super energetic.
They smile and laugh obnoxiously, scream and jump like excited children. It's a little bit surprising, since Yui is not that emotional.
The two are very happy to meet Juzo.
They make a feast for their meeting, and they present it with so much love that, he can't say no when they offer more.
He goes out of that with five more pounds than when he first came in.
When Juzo went to their home, he was expecting them to be put off by his face, but Yui's parents don't care. They are like two little kids, living in their innocent little world and accepting everything at face value.
Juzo's family is composed of his mother and his two little sisters.
I don't know why I imagine him with having a dead parent. Maybe it's how he is so responsible, makes me think he has more experience.
His mom is a famous hero-suits designers. She doesn't have that much money, but is well-off.
When she goes to meet them, the moment she steps inside their home, Kodai is surrounded by two teens.
Juzo's sisters are hero fanatics, and teens, so they ask her up a storm. They especially like female heroes, so they love Kodai already.
Juzo's mom also loves her, and asks her if she would let her re-design her hero-outfit.
I imagine that Juzo's mouth is from his mom, but unlike he, she uses a mask to cover it.
I think they would have two sons.
The first one is named Oyugo (swim), and his quirk is to soften his body enough that it can turn into goo. He can't move when he is like that, however.
The second son is named Kukku (cook), and his quirk is that he can soften other stuff to the point it becomes goo. He can also make them smaller.
You might be wondering why I chose those names. Well, I first thought about Oyugo, and I kind of liked the idea that he liked to cook, and he becomes a very successful chef.
But when I created the second son, and I was thinking what I could name him, I thought: 'Wouldn't it be funny if I named him cook, but made him a swimmer, like it got mixed up with his brother?... wait,'
So, here we are.
Oyugo becomes a chef, and Kukku becomes an Olympic swimmer.
I like to think that they have Juzo's mouth, but have Kodai's unemotional face. They have the best Halloween pranks thanks to that, since it's a terrifying sight to look at that.
AU - Theater Geek Couple AU
This is a High school AU, but I didn't want to name it that, so I didn't.
Kodai is a theatre kid who is shy outside of the stage.
There is a fan-club entirely dedicated to her. She has no idea it exists.
Juzo is a geek who helps with the costumes for the school's plays. He is a great cosplayer, and uses the school's resources sometimes, but he makes good costumes.
He likes Kodai, but he is too shy to even talk to her. He thought of joining her fan-club, but it's just a bunch of guys drooling over her in a creepy fashion. He knows they come to all the plays she's been in, and that sometimes they stalk her on social media.Ā
He is a little afraid they might try something else, so he tells the security guy and the drama teacher.
That is how they end up talking to each other on the first place.
The fan-club starts hanging outside their door after rehearsal, so they ask Juzo to accompany Kodai to her home.
Since he has seen them and knows who they are, he can identify them easily.
At first, they don't talk much. But as Juzo keeps walking her home, they start becoming friends.
Kodai start asking about his cosplay, and he shows her pictures, and one day, she asks if she can do it too. Juzo falls a little harder for her.
They start working on a couple costume and spending more time together.
But then, the fan-club start creeping up more. They go backstage to leave roses and gifts for her, which she doesn't want. It scares her a little, and she asks Juzo to stay with her at her home, since her parents are not going to be there tonight.
He accepts, and as they see some movies and drink a cup of coffee, they start leaning closer.
They don't get to kiss though, since a flash interrupts them.
Juzo goes to investigate and finds some of the guys from the fan-club. They ran when they see him, but they drop the camera.
When the two check it out, they see that they have been taking pictures of her in her home. Nothing that they could blackmail her with, she is dressed in all of them, but it is worrying they have so many pictures.
They call the police and her parents, and they fill a restraining order.
While that is being taken care of, Juzo stays with her until her parents finish talking with the cops.
They don't talk about the almost kiss, but she does sneak a shy cheek kiss.
They go to the con together, dressed as a Titan and Levi. Yui is Levi and Juzo is the Titan.
They have fun, and they act like they are on a date. When he takes her home, they finally kiss and start dating.
All of this AU developed from the idea of Kodai and Juzo cosplaying Attack on Titan, for Juzo's mouth.
Fanon Opinion
The two are too much of a background character for me to come up with anything.
Even after the Joint Training arc, they weren't used much, or at least, Kodai wasn't used much.
I think they are a cute couple.Ā
They seem like those couples who have like no drama in their lives, but really they are just good at dealing with issues.
I think they would be a couple who succeeds at communication, even if Kodai doesn't talk much.
In my mind that helps, because it means that when she does talk, people pay attention, since it means that whatever she is saying is important enough to be voiced.
There's no art about them that I could find.
There is Fanfiction about her, but she is not paired with Honenuki in any of them.Ā
Kodai is either paired with other girls or with Iida.Ā
And there are a few where she is with Sero or Midoriya.
And Honenuki is paired a lot with Shihai or other boys, sometimes with girls.
The gays are taking over. YAY!
I don't think many think about this couple. They are two shy people, and people usually prefer if there is more of a difference between their two characters for a ship.
I like the two as characters, and I have nothing against them as a couple. But being honest, they are not a ship I would look content for.
Like, if it appears or they in the background, I have no problem with it. But they are not a ship I would say: 'Oh, I wonder how this dynamic is!'.
I guess my problem is more to do with importance. They are extras in the manga, so I don't really care much about them.Ā
I mean, they are background characters.
I wish we could have more about them, and the rest of class B.Ā
