Foxx Nolte's "Hidden History of Walt Disney World"
Tumblr media
NEXT SATURDAY (July 20), I'm appearing in CHICAGO at Exile in Bookville.
Tumblr media
No one writes about Disney theme parks like Foxx Nolte; no one rises above the trivia and goes beyond the mere sleuthing of historical facts, no one nails the essence of what makes these parks work – and fail.
I first encountered Nolte through her blog, Passport to Dreams Old and New, where her writing transformed the way I viewed the project of these giant, elaborate built environments. It was through articles like this one – about the sightlines from bathrooms! – that I came to truly understand what design criticism means:
https://passport2dreams.blogspot.com/2012/11/the-awkward-transitions-of-disneyland.html
While her work on queue design transformed how I thought about waiting, scarce-goods allocation, and the psychology of anticipation and desire:
https://passport2dreams.blogspot.com/2010/12/third-queue.html
But I really knew her for a kindred spirit when I read her masterful analysis of the historical context and enduring power of the Haunted Mansion:
https://passport2dreams.blogspot.com/2010/05/history-and-haunted-mansion.html
A decade after that Haunted Mansion post, Nolte published the definitive history of the Haunted Mansions, Boundless Realm, the very best book ever written on the subject:
https://pluralistic.net/2020/11/09/boundless-realm/#fuxxfur
This year, Nolte came back with another short, smart, endlessly fascinating history of Disney World, Hidden History of Walt Disney World:
https://www.arcadiapublishing.com/products/9781467156189
There are many histories of Walt Disney World, but none are quite like this. Nolte – who worked at the park for many years – combines her insider's view with her deep historical knowledge and yields up a "hidden history" that will forever change how I look at the built environment and the natural landscape it sits atop.
The path to Walt Disney World – an entertainment juggernaut that occupies a landmass twice the size of Manhattan – was anything but smooth. Its original design – Walt's design – barely survived groundbreaking, dying with Walt himself. Walt's successor, his brother Roy, used the occasion of Walt's death to assert his long-contested dominance over the park, drastically scaling back Walt's ambition for a bizarre residential/utopian community and replacing it with a kind of deluxe Disneyland with the idea of limiting the company's financial risk by re-creating a pre-existing, sure thing money-maker.
But Roy died within a few years of Walt, and the company transitioned from a family business to a managerial one, its direction set by executives who weren't named "Disney." These managers were just as flawed as the Disney brothers, but in much different ways (one long-serving CEO insisted that Disney should stay out of the hotel business, leaving billions on the table for contractors and third parties.
Of course, all of this is happening in Florida, and many of Nolte's funniest, juciest stories play Walt, then Roy, then various CEOs and execs off of flamboyant locals straight out of a Carl Hiaasen novel. In Nolte's capable hands, the many acres of Disney property come alive with the ghosts of Florida eccentrics and conmen who play against the deeply weird Disney brothers and their baffled corporate successors.
The history of Walt Disney World is also a history of the American narrative from the 1960s to the turn of the millennium, especially once Epcot enters the picture and Disney sets out to market itself as a futuristic mirror to America and the world. There's a doomed plan to lead the nation in the provision of an airport for the largely hypothetical short runway aircraft that never materialized, the Disney company's love-hate affair with Florida's orange growers, and the geopolitics of installing a permanent World's Fair, just as World's Fairs were disappearing from the world stage.
With Disney in disarray, corporate raiders smelled blood, and the company found itself on the brink of leveraged buyout hell, triggering another change in corporate leadership with the arrival of Michael Eisner. Nolte's portrait of Eisner is far more nuanced than the presentation in rival histories, surfacing his many forgotten gaffes – but also giving him credit where it was due. When the dust settles on the Eisner era, Disney has more theme parks in one place than can possibly be justified – in an America where workers get almost no paid vacation days, building more theme parks does not extend visitors' stays. It only adds to the expense of keeping those guests entertained during those brief, flitting visits.
The Disney empire is rooted in contradictions. The Disney brothers cordially loathed one another and the company split into "Walt people" and "Roy people" who schemed against one another in secret and sometimes even erupted into open conflict. There's something Hegelian about the Walt/Roy split: Walt went bust trying to run a creative empire that ignored the financials, and fled the ashes of his first venture to work with Roy in California. Roy disciplined Walt with financial rigor, often to excess. When the company emerged from WWII with its outside shareholders in charge, Roy became their champion and Walt's tormentor, with the ability to exercise a firm veto when he couldn't win the day through moral suasion.
Walt sought escape from his brother, proposing a series of ill-starred ventures that eventually became Disneyland. First, he proposed that he would transform his backyard ride 'em train-set into a public attraction that he would personally oversee, so that he wouldn't have to go to the office and let his brother boss him around. Then he proposed buying a locomotive and fitting out a train of railcars with exhibits promoting Disney movies, which he, personally, would drive around America, far from his brother.
Finally, he hit on Disneyland, poaching the company's best animators for a separate firm that Roy was eventually forced to buy from Walt in order to bring it back into the corporate fold. These power struggles, in which Roy first took orders from Walt, before turning the tables, only to have them turned again, culminated in the uneasy detente that characterized the era from Disneyland's opening to Walt's death.
Working with his brother may have made Walt miserable, but he evidently saw the benefit in this Hegelian dialectic, because he became infamous for putting together creative teams who were forever at each other's throats. The storied Sherman Brothers – Disney's star songwriting team – barely tolerated each other. The titans of early Imagineering were often at odds, and Walt took seemingly sadistic glee in forcing artists who disliked one another to work on joint projects.
In focusing on the conflicts between different corporate managers, outside suppliers, and the gloriously flamboyant weirdos of Florida, Nolte's history of Disney World transcends amusing anaecdotes and tittle-tattle – rather, it illustrates how the creative sparks thrown off by people smashing into each other sometimes created towering blazes of glory that burn to this day.

Arthur notes: Hello, Deary I am so sorry for the long wait, I hit a block and had a depressive episode. I getting better now. Please enjoy!
--------
180 MPH is the fastest that a Yamaha YZF-R1 Supersport could go. If you need to get some there fast then that was the way to go, and Yechan need to get somewhere fast.
Yechan had been going over her day out with Ari. At the office, then the hair salon, asking questions as they walked around the square on the way to the dress shop. The only thing I could think of was that it had to happen when they were at the dress shop. Ari was perfectly fine before she had come out of the dressing room. She was fine up till the dress shop, and then she left overdosing on fentanyl.
Yechan didn't know what happened, but it happened there. Turning off Skool St. then a left onto Range Rd. Yechan found herself in front of the batting cages. The Batting cages are located on the back side of the school's grounds.
A good-sized Primary school (1st-6th) and a Secondary school (9th-12th) as well as a small Junior college. A lot of the kids when they get done with the Junior college, end up going to the University in Luna City. That is where Jongho and I meet, Being in the same advanced coding class. He was so shy and quiet back then, always sitting in the back of the class.
Pulling up to the main front door, I left my bike running and made my way inside. Jay Park was behind the main desk most likely covering a shift for whoever should have been working today, as his family owns the batting cage. Jay was quick to tell you that he doesn't work here. I walked past him into the employee closet to the wooded bats.
"Should I be concerned? He asked leaning on the counter as I walked out with my bat of choice. "No," I told him shortly and made my way back to the main door.
"The cages are out the other door " Jay Hollard being a smart ass "I know" I replied walking out the door back to my bike.
"Oh shit" I heard him say and the door swung shut behind me. Sitting on the bike I laid the bat across my lap, holding it with my body weight. I took off.
-Yunho's POV -
See as I am the police chief you would think it would be easy for me to find someone! Scoups hasn't seen Yechan in town yet, Neither had Rhea, Jungwon, Matthew, or anyone else I called. Pulling into the station my phone rang, I pulled it out and checked it "Jay Park" You got to be kidding me, I answered anyway "What do you want Jay?"I asked after answering "Oh, Cheif Jeong is that any way to answer your phone" He teased, pissing me off more "I don't have time for you, What do you want" I snapped as I walked into the station DK and Woozi waved as I walked past them heading to my office.
"Well, I thought you would want to know that a little birdie just left the cages with a bot in hand." He said and then dropped the teasing tone "She looked pissed, I don't know what happen but she is about to go fuck someone up" He said, Before I could reply Jay had done hung up.
I sat down in my cushioned leather chair. "What are you planning" I mumbled to myself pulling up the GPS app on my phone and watching Yechan Little Fox move. Giving a little alert of how fast she was going.
It finally slowed as she was now in the town square. Around the corner stopping at the end, it sat for a moment. I looked up at my open door right as Mingyu walked past, "Mingyu" I called out He poked his back in "Ya, Boss?" He asked, "Do you know what stores sit on the west end of the square plaza?" I asked still looking at the screen, Yechan's little fox still not moving.
Mingyu walked in a little and leaned on the door " I think it's the Fresh market, The florist, and the new dress shop" he rubbed the back of his head "Why?" Mingyu asked "No reason, I think I have my answer now." I quickly stood up and rushed out the door. The girls were at the dress shop early.
-Yechan's POV -
Parking next to the sidewalk in front of the dress shop, I looked around still sitting on the bike. the black and red helmet hanging from one had the handles. Looking over at the Fresh market Minhyuk was standing outside sweeping the sidewalk. He wasn't wearing anything special, A white shirt with a button at the top dark blue jeans, and plain shoes. on both of his wrists were fake Leis "Do I Ask?" I said pointing in his general direction, Minhyuk shook his head "Kyungmin and Woo came by early to pick up an order of strawberries, Kyungmin is just so cute I couldn't say no then I didn't have the heart to take them off!" He explained in one breath.
I shook my head laughing at him, then toward the dress shop. there were no other cars in the parking lot but the sign on the door said opened. "Yechan?" Minhyuk called out "Go back inside," I said getting off the bike with the bat in my hand. Heading up to the door I let it drag behind me.
"Welcome in!" A happy voice called out closer to the back of the store. Everything looked the same as it did earlier. The same pink walls, the same white floor. But all I saw was red. "Hey, your back!" I turned to the cat-eyed man in question. "Ya, I'm back," I said looking from him to the low-hanging glass chandelier.
I swang the bat
Hitting my mark, Crystals went flying. "Are you out of your mind?" Sam shouted moving his arms away from his face. I little drop of blood ran from his eyebrow. "Maybe" I started toward him. Letting the bat tap the ground with each step I took.
"I don't know what or how you did it, But I know you did something to hurt someone very dear to the people I care about" As I moved towards him, Sam backed up until his back hit the wall. I raised the bat pushing it into his throat. Sam tried to speak, but I cut him off.
"You better not say a goddamn word" His mouth snapped shut. "If I find out that you did do something to hurt her, They will never find your body" He smirked "You think you scare me little girl" He emphasized the word little, laughing.
Before I could say anything else my name was called from behind me, Yunho. "Yechan, that's enough" He added, I watched as Sam looked at me for a second, and then a switch flipped. "Officer" He started but Yunho cut him off "Yechan," Yunho said again, Slightly more sternly.
I looked up to Sam for a moment before pulling the bat away. Same didn't break eye contact "So scary" he whispered mockingly.
I turned and walked away, Yunho grabbed the bat as I passed. Getting back on the bike I took Off. Yunho is not far behind me.
-3rd Person's POV -
Standing in the dress shop Sam stood for a second breathing before pulling his phone out. Pressing a few bottoms he placed it up to his ear "Channie, It's Hyunjin." he smiled looking at the broken chandler "I found Yechan, Time for stage 2?" He asked
By the time the pair got back to the house, the sun was starting to set. Yechan pulled her motorcycle into its designated spot before walking out of the garage to Yunho's truck.
She fell into his open arms, putting her face into the much taller man's chest. He hugged her tightly back. "I don't want to go back in there" Yechan mumbled "Ok, Come on" Yunho pulled her towards the passenger side door.
Opening the door Yechan climbed in, with Yunho's help without question. Yechan trusted Yunho with her whole being. Knowing that he would never hurt her on purpose without reason, she didn't think twice about closing her eyes and letting Yunho take her where he saw fit too.
When Yunho woke Yechan up the sky was completely black and a soft orange light was coming from behind her.
They were in the field behind the house, with a small bonfire now burning. Walking around the side of the truck Yunho picked Yechan up placing her on top of the tailgate before sitting down next to her, The blanket that he kept in the back seat of his truck under the both of them.
An odd Cement plot sat on the other side of the small fire. Yechan couldn't tell how big it was. "Has that always been there?" Yechan asked pointing towards the plot. "No, Just got put down early today" Yunho was smiling looking at it "It's something I'm having built, but it's a surprise" He winked at Yechan
the air was silent again "Do you want to talk about it?" He asked her, Yechan shook her head "Not really, I don't fully understand what happened" She laid down on the blanket, and Yunho placed a hand on her leg "I mean, I know what happened. She was drugged with fentanyl. But why?" Yechan asked the sky "Ari is so sweet, She wouldn't hurt a soul. So why would anyone want to hurt her?" She stated to no one. "It had to be Sam" She muttered, Yunho watched her as she stared up at the dark sky "That's the only answer" She continued starting to work herself up again.
"What happen at the house?" Yunho asked getting her attention, Yechan sighed "I don't know," she told him "All I saw was red, San was by her side and wasn't moving anytime soon. You and Yeo were trying to help, Hongjoong was all but accusing me of doing something" Yechan started to rant, Yunho stopped her " He was not accusing you of anything, He was just making sure you were ok" Yunho tried to defend his friend
Yechan -
"You know as well as I do that Ari is different to him, He is so overly protective of her it's a little bit obsessive." Yunho laughed I shot up "Is she pregnant?" Yunho laughed harder "Not that any of us know" I threw myself back onto the truck bed. "Then he has no reason to act like an idiot" crossing my arms as Yunho laughed more. "Don't laugh at me" I playfully hit his arm "He was never like that with me, He wasn't protected to this extent" I tried to explain to Yunho "Because he knows he didn't need to be," He told me calmly. I sat back up "Explain"
Yunho pushed his hair out of his eyes just for it to fall right back down "Putting it simple. If I hadn't showed up at the dress shop when I did, you would have killed that guy and Ari can't open a pickle jar" I laughed "You have a point" Yunho laughed with me "In our dark twisted world, She is one side of the light" I turned to look at him, pulling one leg up to my chest. Yunho smiled down at me. "You are the other side of the light" Raising his hand he tucked a stray strand of hair behind my ear.
"Ari is our sun, but you are our moon. This family needs both of you to be able to survive" He poked my nose "Now come on we got to get back so I can pack" He jumped down offering me a hand.
"pack?" I questioned "Yep, Hongjoong sprung it on all of us this morning after Ari left. we have to go to Ganji city for a meeting" I nodded" They want all of us there too" Yunho added as he used the shovel to place dirt over the embers "Joong doesn't like the idea of all of us going so far away at once" I leaned back against the tailgate
"I can understand that but we got everyone here to watch the town," I told him "Ya, but he mostly wants someone to stay at the house with Ari. He had planned to ask you to do it but now with everything I don't know what he is planning" Yunho threw the shovel on the back of the truck standing next to me "I'll talk to him when we get home" Yunho kissed the top of my head. "Let's go home," He said.

1. First of UNRELATED but FUCKKKKKK MY STIMACH HURTS SO MUHC KILL ME NOWWWWWW N E ways I so saw that after interacting with relatively normal people for the first time in a WHILE post covid (let’s be serious post middle school… like wow I was a loser emo.) and how people can actually LEARN from others instead of intense ridiculous ostracism for any minor differentiation, being online feels like this suffocating circus of charades to fit into any single community, entire ppl’s lives are online to compare to yourself and the comparison is just something that got so so heavy on me, to feel worthy in an internet landscape I had to jump through the hoops of regular teen identity dilemmas while also being out to adult standards of experience education and other standards I simply can’t or don’t give a fuck about achieving I could actually blab on about this forever so I’ll practice some discretion and zip it but thanks for the advice and experience!! Once I’m in physical college classes I hope I’m able to actually make irl friends for the silly reason of wanting to have fun. Human nature ig

2. INCOMIGNG BLABFEST OOPSIE but this made me think about how having a diary is truly the samsara (circle of life - also omg my dumbass had to Google it bc I forgot the name 😭) where in the moment the author can realize by embodying posterior perspectives while writing and in ongoing rumination about the finished product in order to cultivate a matured perspective on a topic, and how that rumination extends WELL WELL after the initial writing experience through memory recollection, and how this recollection is made unique through stimuli from one’s personal writing process, and even if memory fails you the archive of your writing from the inception of the ability to write and OMG THIS WAS SO PRETENTIOUS IM SORRY 😭 but like the ability to blab on about stupid drawn out shit and having the excuse of ITS MY DIARY don’t like don’t read teehee!! Is so fun and like idc everyone who is mad about that is so miserable and not as untouchably smart and superior as they think like how did you even become this ‘above’ us peasants, by WRITING. READING. Whatever. Also THANKS AGAIN YOURW WAY WAY TOO SWEET and also what accomplishments do you hope to achieve this year or in some eventuality?
Tumblr media
3. This goes for all of Europe like Europe is so not real I can’t even imagine how tiny it is like it’s literally the size of FUCKING TEXAS and it’s supposed to be a ‘continent’….? Like what. How is it real that these geeks can go to France to turkey in the amount of time it takes to walk from dennys to your Honda civic in a Kentucky strip mall parking lot, like these people need to stop being as pompous about their public transport no matter how effective it is (it’s still really good and way better than the automobile market but let’s be serious ofc it’s easier to establish when your country takes five minutes by hopping on one foot to go from border control to border control)
Tumblr media
4. Omg is there any sort of Union that could prompt lobbying for any type of repairs? Ofc it’s extremely doubtful it would get any sort of actual improvements bc MUH PROFITS but I hope the work environment there engenders some sort of small scale solutions by the workers like a really kind worker bringing in a fan…
Tumblr media
5. UGH I WISHHHH canvas is too sophisticated NAURRR and also omg this school is making me feel SO stupid and inferior like I want so badly to be a scholarly and motivated student but I’m growing absolutely horribly and getting faced with failure from every direction I hate it so much

Fluffy Canada x Reader Senario
Meeting his s/o at a convention.
Fem! Reader
The day began for the 29-year old Canadian at Walgreens trying to help his twin find a wildly specific hair gel for his cosplay. He rubbed his tired eyes and tried to find a way to the caffeine aisle, because he certainly did not have the energy today without the use of substances. Caffeine was just the one that got the day started. Irish cream to whiskey sour those would fuel him with the power to tolerate his twin's nonsense.
“I’M GETTING THE JUMBO SIZE OF THIS AND I HAVE MORE STORE CARD!!!!! I”M GOING TO BE THE BEST SUPERMAN EVER!”
‘Why did God give him the voice of an alarm clock?’ His eye twitches from lack of sleep and the annoyance that is his brother.
Matthew just opens the door and mutters to himself how this day is going to be tiring. He eagerly popped open the can of Maple Flavored Espresso Shots and started chugging. He placed about 10 more in his basket as he wandered up to the front to pay.
“YO MATTIE HURRY! WE HAVE COSPLAYS TO PUT ON AND PEOPLE TO MEET.” Alfred had shouted from the exit. He was dying to meet some of his favorite artists at the convention.
(*cough* Lookin at you guys. *cough*)
Matthew simply popped open another Maple Espresso and threw it back as if it was cheap bourbon. He felt the sweet sting of the caffeinated acid that was beginning to hit his brain almost immediately after downing the second. It felt like life was being renewed within his exhausted being.
‘I can do this. Just a weekend and then at night and during parts of the day I can sneak off and eat pancakes. Yeah, think of all the nice breakfast houses America has around here. I’m going to try them all. I’m going to try all the pancakes! All of that fluffy butter goodness will be mine.’ While crushing the second can and successfully tosses it into the bin, he wanders off after his brother with a new goal in mind. He did need some proper motivation to handle the daunting task of hardcore partying all weekend that involved intricate costumes.
‘I’m also not coming out of my house for a month after this. Yeah. I will definitely need a break after this.’
Alfred revved up the ignition once Matthew had put his seatbelt on.
“LET’S PARTY MATTIE BOY YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE HHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWW!” He tears out of the parking lot like a tasmanian devil that consumed 20 pixie sticks. The adrenaline of being able to live within the confines of a fantasy for 78 hours was a high that felt amazing to Alfred. He enjoyed the adoration, the accolades of winning competitions, the catchases, the community he loved. It was also a bonus that there would be amazing food trucks, restaurants, and vendors who would be doing their best to make a good impression on the wide market that anime conventions brought.
Food and fun. The only things that you would ever really need to convince Alfred to do anything with you.
As the day dragged on and Alfred conveniently made Matthew his cameraman and pack mule. He tolerated it. After all, whenever there was a panel that he took no interest in he always managed to slip away for a few hours without his brother in tow. He needed his break for being a supportive sibling and sidekick. It did feel nice when a few people wanted his picture… But when people asked it did feel a little off as if they only really did it out of courtesy. They didn’t want individual photos with him. It confirms his suspicions. He didn’t make a fuss about it. He just wanted to get his hands on some pancakes. Matthew was smart enough to make a reservation in a popular place that was a few blocks away. Eager to leave Matthew just yells out:
“Bye Alfred! Got to go. Hungry. See ya for dinner.” Effectively abandoning his brother who is pretty sure it will at least take him 15 minutes or so to notice that he’s even left.
When he got there the place was crowded with cosplayers.
‘Ehhhh well at least I have my headphones so I can try to drown some of this noise out.’ As he turned on (insert what you think he’s playing) and waited to be seated. He was at least glad that he was cosplaying as Clark Kent. Meaning he didn’t have a ton of latex to make him uncomfortable or any large prop to lug around. With one earphone propped in his ear and the other in his pocket as he waited to speak to the hostess.
“Ah Good Afternoon Mr. Williams! Right this way! ” The short but lively woman practically shouted out. Matthew was already numb to the noise since he’s been entrenched, in a noisy dimension that doesn’t seem to calm down. He was just content with the thought of good food filling his stomach. The sweet aroma wafting from the kitchen made him even more eager to have his mountain of feather like flour.
As he was seated a woman in her 20’s dressed up in (insert cosplay here) and it caught his eye.
‘Wow they really did a great job with the construction of that outfit. It’s pretty cool eh?’ He let his eyes wander up and down through the indicated pieces of Worbla, resin, and wood. MAtthew was unaware of how long he was actually taking her in and the cosplayer simply shot him a smile and wink. Matthews' curl jerked upwards and his face quickly turned red. The mystery cosplayer sees this and she giggles and leaves.
“Are you ready to place your order for a drink sir?” A waiter asks, interrupting his quiet flustering over the cosplayer.
“Yeah uh your Donut Coffee please.”
After the meal he finally decided to go back to his brother and see what sort of whacky nonsense he’s gotten himself into. He was at least hoping to not have to be forced to go rave with him that night.
While on the way back a feminine voice had been calling out to him for the last block and a half.
“HEY! CUTE CLARK KENT DUDE! SLOW DOWN!” She was begging to gain on MA\atthew just a few more strides. “CLARK KENT! I KNOW YOUR IDENTITY DUDE AND I’LL REVEAL IT IF YOU DON’T SLOW DOWN!”
That last statement seemed to do the trick because Matthew finally pulled out one of his airpods and halted.
‘Hallucinating. I have to be. But, I don’t want it to be. I do want it to be real. But, generally I have been passover and maybe it’s not someone calling for me. Maybe there is another Clark Kent nearby. I shouldn’t embarrass myself.’ The inner self doubt was consuming him, it's not like conventions did wonders for Matthew’s mental health.
“HEY DUDE! YOU OKAY? Do you need water?” Concerned but the excitement of finally being able to catch up hadn’t faded from her voice.
“Oh no I’m good! I like your cosplay! I saw you while I was in the bistro right? You uhhh.” Remembering the moment and his face melted right back into the same flustered expression. His antenna wagging like that of an excited dog who is about to receive a treat.
“Yeah! I’m (Y/N). I have come to this convention every year for the past 7 years. Nice to meet you, Clark Kent.” She gives off a radiant smile that makes Matthew’s jaw hang slightly ajar. She holds out her hand and Matthew places it in hers and he was stunned by the firm grip Y/N had.
Y/N fully understanding that Matthew was more introverted decided to take the lead.
“Well if you don’t have any particular plans for Sunday night. We should go to the ball together and totally get food after. I’ve heard there is this awesome KBBQ place nearby and a bakery that stays open until 3am serving these immaculate pastries. What do you think?”
Warmth and a mix of fluttering starlight hit his soul. He wanted to be bold, he wanted to be daring, but couldn’t find the perfect words to match the moment.
“Sounds like a date. Hahah.”
Matthew dating a darling that is like his brother America surprisingly will make him be able to tolerate his brother more.
He does enjoy the excitement that Y/N brings to his life although on some days she can be incredibly intense. It’s not impossible for the two of you to figure things out.
He does have to brace himself everytime that he comes home because you do pounce on him like a lion of sorts. You’re excited to see him and it makes it easier for him to fall asleep at night.
The dates the two of you do are both a mix of mellow and intense.
An example of this would be having a stay in and making an art date to going river rafting in the Ottawa river.
The two of you work well in the kitchen together. The two of you enjoy having family over so you can show off your new endeavors in learning new recipes to show off.
Overall it’s an incredibly sweet romance that works well for Matthew and his darling. I mean there is a reason we have a saying that opposites attract.

13 Benefits of Vehicle Wrap Advertising for Your Business
Tumblr media
In today's highly competitive marketplace, businesses need to stand out and find innovative ways to promote their products and services. While traditional advertising methods such as print ads and billboards still have their place, they can be expensive and reach a limited audience. That's where vehicle wrap advertising comes in. This form of advertising offers numerous benefits for businesses of all sizes. In this blog post, we'll explore 13 benefits of vehicle wrap advertising and why it's a smart investment for your business.
Benefits of Vehicle Wraps
Why choose vehicle wraps over other advertising methods?
1. Increased Brand Visibility
Vehicle wrap advertising offers increased brand visibility. When your company vehicles are wrapped with eye-catching graphics and your logo, they become moving billboards that capture attention wherever they go. Whether your vehicles are parked on the street or driving through busy city centers, vehicle wraps services attract the attention of potential customers. Studies have shown that vehicle wraps generate thousands of impressions per day, making them an incredibly effective marketing tool.
2. Cost-effective Advertising
Compared to other forms of advertising, vehicle wrap advertising is remarkably cost-effective. A single vehicle wrap can last for several years, providing continuous exposure for your business without any recurring costs. Traditional advertising methods, on the other hand, require ongoing investments to maintain visibility. Furthermore, the cost of Vehicle wrapping is significantly lower than other forms of advertising, making it an ideal option for small businesses with limited marketing budgets.
3. Wide Audience Reach
Vehicle wrap advertising offers a wide audience reach, allowing your brand message to reach thousands of potential customers. Unlike billboards or print ads that are stationary, vehicle wraps can be seen by people in various locations. Whether your vehicles are parked in a busy shopping centre or driving down the highway during rush hour, your brand message is reaching potential customers with every passing moment. This wide audience reach ensures that your marketing efforts are not limited to a specific location or demographic.
4. Non-intrusive Advertising
One of the biggest benefits of Vehicle wrapping advertising is that it's non-intrusive. Unlike television or internet ads that interrupt people's daily activities, vehicle wraps blend seamlessly into the environment. The eye-catching designs on your company vehicles will naturally attract attention without disrupting people's routines. This non-intrusive nature makes vehicle wrap advertising more favourable and acceptable among potential customers.
5. Maximum Exposure with Vehicle Wraps
Vehicle wraps offer maximum exposure for your business. Unlike other marketing methods that may only reach people in specific locations or during certain times, vehicle wraps are visible 24/7. Whether parked or in motion, your company vehicles are always promoting your brand. This constant exposure ensures that your business remains in the minds of potential customers, increasing brand recognition and recall.
6. Protection for Your Vehicles
Aside from marketing benefits, vehicle wraps also protect your vehicles. The vinyl wraps act as a protective layer, shielding the original paint from UV rays, dirt, and minor scratches. This protection can extend the lifespan of your vehicles' exterior and help maintain their resale value. Additionally, when it's time to remove the wraps, they can be easily peeled off without damaging the original paint.
7. Versatility and Customization Options
Vehicle wraps offer versatility and customization options that allow businesses to create unique and impactful designs. From bold colours to intricate graphics, wraps can be tailored to reflect your brand's personality and message. Whether you have a single vehicle or a fleet, wraps can be customised to match your brand's aesthetics and target audience. This flexibility ensures that your advertising is always on-brand and effectively communicates your message.
8. Increased Credibility and Professionalism
Vehicle wrap advertising can enhance your business's credibility and professionalism. When potential customers see your branded vehicles on the road, it gives them a sense of trust and confidence in your products and services. A well-designed vehicle wrap company convey professionalism and establish your brand as a reputable and trustworthy choice in the market.
9. Mobile Advertising
Vehicle wrap advertising is essentially mobile advertising. Your vehicles are constantly on the move, reaching different areas and exposing your brand to a diverse range of potential customers. This mobility allows you to target specific geographic locations or reach a broader audience, depending on your business goals. Mobile advertising provides flexibility and adaptability, enabling you to adjust your marketing strategies based on changing market conditions.
10. Increased Local Awareness
Vehicle wrap advertising is particularly effective at increasing local awareness for your business. When your branded vehicles are seen driving around your local area, it creates a sense of familiarity and connection with the community. People are more likely to choose a local business that they are familiar with, so vehicle wraps can help you build a strong presence in your local market.
11. Enhanced Brand Recognition
The eye-catching nature of vehicle wraps helps to enhance brand recognition. When potential customers repeatedly see your branded vehicles on the road, it creates a lasting impression in their minds. This increased exposure and recognition can lead to higher recall rates and increase the chances of customers choosing your business over competitors when they are in need of your products or services.
12. Targeted Advertising
With vehicle wrap advertising, you have the opportunity to target specific audiences. By strategically placing your branded vehicles in areas where your target market is likely to be, you can maximise the impact of your advertising efforts. Whether it's a specific neighbourhood, a business district, or an event venue, you can customise your routes to ensure that your vehicles reach the right people at the right time.
13. Long-lasting and Measurable Results
Finally, vehicle wrap advertising offers long-lasting and measurable results. Unlike other forms of advertising that have a limited shelf life, vehicle wraps can last for several years, providing continuous exposure for your business. Additionally, the impact of vehicle wrap advertising can be easily measured through increased website traffic, phone inquiries, or footfall at your physical location. This allows you to track the effectiveness of your marketing efforts and make data-driven decisions to optimize your campaigns.
Enhance Your Brand's Visibility with Professional Vehicle Wrap Company
vehicle wrap advertising offers a wide range of benefits for businesses looking to enhance their brand visibility, reach a wider audience, and increase their credibility. With its cost-effectiveness, non-intrusive nature, and the protection it provides for your vehicles, vehicle wrap advertising is a smart investment for any business. The versatility, customization options, and long-lasting results make it an attractive choice for businesses of all sizes. So, if you're looking to make a lasting impression and stand out from the competition, consider vehicle wrap advertising as part of your marketing strategy.
