What I love most about Slider or Rick Rossovich’s characters in general is that…he isn’t there to put up a fight. While presenting himself as a very masculine, strong, macho-man, he isn’t usually the one to be physically aggressive or verbally domineering. And, instead of those traditionally masculine values associated with his looks, Slider has this erotic virtue of being observant, sometimes actively surrendering what he wants.

Slider is a himbo. Slider is a himbo that can do no wrong.

Maybe this has become a common theme amongst some of us in the fandom. Or maybe amongst myself. But I believe it’s more than that. I believe we should add more to that.

Slider is a Navy siren. Slider is a Navy siren that is waiting for his short stud to claim him. Smiling, his body built so strong yet confined to the shackles of protecting others, or the ribbons he’s tangled himself in to please others…with the tantalizing sight of his throat peeking from the slight gaps between those red stripes around his neck, ready to be bitten and willing to submit.

And that’s how I imagine Slider to be in my stories.
