May vinyl challenge day 27 is a Sleeveface! I’ve been sick the last couple days and ran out of the buffer of photos I’d shot, and I sure don’t have the energy to set up a new sleeveface 😂 so here’s a loooong throwback. In 2010 I stumbled upon what I’m pretty sure was the original sleeveface concept online, a Blogspot that people submitted to. My then-boyfriend-now-husband and I set up a bunch using my records and submitted them, and this is one of those pictures that appeared on that blog lo these 14 years ago. As a bonus, I found a picture of my setup back then, in my last semester of college: my dad’s old Technics turntable with a lightly faulty quartz drive and Pioneer amp, a PS1 cd player, and Creative computer speakers plugged into the headphone out. And that’s how many records I owned. My how things change. Not pictured are my Sennheiser headphones, which I am still very much using (while I type this post actually).
