Nålhus aka needle houses aka needle keepers made with wool fabric, protected by a ceramic case. Stamped patterns with inspiration from plants and nature in general and the geometrical lines somewhat inspired by runes.

Here are my jeans:)
Lately i have been obsessed with the idea of putting all of my small embroidery samples or other found patches on a single pair of jeans. i made those jeans wider last summer with blue cotton fabric wedges. I love the idea of eternity jeans, that i would just change the fit of these jeans and remove or add parts to fit me over time, and have all of my textile ideas collected, visable and wearable. It has to look god tho...

15 questions
Tagged by @dragonflylady77 (thank you <3 )
Are you named after anyone?
Nope.
When was the last time you cried?
Thursday, on my way home from work. I was Tired. Got home and spent half an hour face down on the floor just inside my front door, still wearing shoes and jacket and one glove (then yet another half hour, still on the floor but sitting up, before I got up).
Do you have kids?
No. And no plans of having any.
Do you use sarcasm?
Me? No, of course not. Never.
What is the first thing you notice about someone?
I am very very bad at noticing things about people, period. I am bad with faces, so maybe ... hairstyles? I don't know. If they do something threatening, then that behaviour is the first thing I notice about them, but going on looks alone? I guess whatever stands out.
What is your eye colour?
Blue, but the greyish, boring kind.
Scary movies or happy endings?
Happy endings. I like happy endings and very much dislike scary movies.
Any special talents?
I can write mirrored.
Where were you born?
At the hospital.
What are your hobbies?
Depends on what I feel like doing for the moment. General rule is that I like crafts, preferably things that a) takes time and b) gets a result I can be proud of on the first try.
Do you have any pets?
No. Wouldn't be fair on the pet, as I'm away from home for many hours per day.
What sports do you play/have played?
I am not a sporty person. I basically did what I had to do to pass gym class in school, but even that was reluctantly. Oh, and I played basketball in middle school because I was tall, but I sucked at it.
How tall are you?
177 cm.
Favourite subject in school?
Bild & slöjd (art and ... uuuh, what's it called, woodworking/sewing class?)
Dream job?
I don't know. Anything that pays well, where I have good colleagues and a good boss and that I can stop thinking about the second I walk out the doors at the end of the day.

DISCLAIMER: I bought these tools with my own money paying full price on Amazon. No one has paid for or coerced my opinion in any way.
Here are two Bradford pear spoons (one symmetric and the other right handed).
I had an online conversation about the quality and usability of certain mass produced tools and the Ukrainian company Hutsuls came up. I said that I own the $20 set that has the 3 knives, gloves, honing compound, strop, and canvas roll-up.
I promised to make a spoon using just that set.
1. This is using a Bradford pear branch that came down in a storm a month or two ago, and has been anchor sealed and sitting in my shed.
2. I put a sharpening on these tools using just w&d sandpaper glued to plywood, and honing compound on leather. They will be meeting the diamond and ceramic plates soon, and I will be adjusting some backs and bevels.
3. The handles are unmodified as are the be els and blade backs.
Here are my findings. They are absolutely worth $20.
The slöjd knife is 2-1/4" so it is more like the Mora #120 than the #106. If you hold them side by side the blade looks almost exactly the same.
The spoon hook knife is right handed. It has the sharp point like the old style Mora #164. And I can only assume the strong semi-circular shape is akin to the older style Mora #164 although I don't actually own one of those. So it differs from my current Mora #164's semi-carotoid shape. But it is similar in shape. It is also, a thicker blade material as well.
Thirdly it also includes a detail knife 1-5/8" long and 1/4" wide. This was a new tool to me. It goes around corners quite well.
Overall, all the blades cut well and held their respective edges. Through the two spoons I honed the hook knife about 5 strokes on green and 5 on pink. Tho other blades never felt like they needed it.
All that said the only "con" would be the handles. They are flat with some rounding. Hotspots and blisters. Enough said. Need wrapped or rehandled. :)

Making a Folkdräkt, Episode II: Attack of the wrinkles.
Spent the weekend on the second part of my course: linen shifts and shirts and all things gathered. We were in the museum costume archives and looked at different styles and constructions.
The model for my dräkt is super simple and SHOULDN'T be that hard to finish by midsummer (she said, laughing in the face of the fates)
Made a test sleeve with a few of the intended seams and have cut out all the parts. Let the challenge begin!
the intended entire finished product is this one on the left: so far I have the bodice and the stockings.

love it when you are looking for crafts material and find stuff where the thing makes itself
thinking of drilling a hole in the wide end and passing a loop of twisted birch withy through it and calling it a day
