I was tagged in this by @gottaread2. Thanks for the tag! It's been way too long since I've talked about my fics on here, and I always love a good tag game, so this was a lot of fun.

As far as patterns go... I guess I don't tend to start off with dialogue. Only one of the first lines on this list includes dialogue, and that's easily my least favorite fic on this list. It looks like I do have a tendency to throw the characters into situations (there's blood! someone is dead! there's an ambulance!) and then elaborate on how and why they're in those situations afterwards. Which, yeah, that seems like a very 'me' way of starting a story.
