Daikaijuverse Geronimon

Geronimons are a species of maniraptoran kaijus living in Monster island, Skull island and in North America

Geronimons are quite intelligent kaijus another contender of being one of the smartest kaijus on earth, capable of complex communication system not just with unique sounds but also with complex hand gestures like doing some sign language with other individuals!

Geronimon has some.....interesting abilities that are poorly understood, it can shoot out alot of gas from its mouth that causes anything caught within the mist to float almost like there in a zero gravity area, scientists couldnt understand this strange smoke they can produce but it its quite an effective weapon!

Their next ability is to shoot out feathers out of their tails and they are capable of controlling their flight and redirect them towards enemies so these feathers could stab them like quills, the detached feathers can release toxins in the body of whatever got stabbed by them causing immense pain and paralysis, Geronimons can regrow their feathers pretty quickly when they detached them, it is unknown how they can control their feathers to fly but its hypothesized that they do this by using telepathy but it is still uncertain and probably never will be understood.

One Geronimon has been discovered in North America at night by villagers and it was making strange sounds around the vicinity aswell as opening its arms wide and the feathers on its head rattles, then suddenly two kaijus rises up from the ground and they were previously seen kaijus by the villagers though to be dead according to them, the kaijus were the Rauisuchian Red King and the Ceratopsian Gomora, Geronimon was caught off guard by this and started to do weird hand gestures a them pointing its fingers at them and roars at them and the two yellow feathers on his head glows revealing eye like markings on them, the two kaijus that were awakened leaves and went out somewhere else, Geronimon also left and was not seen ever again, the villagers says it had the ability to revive kaijus from the dead and controls them to do what it says and he said that those kaijus were killed by Godzilla and thought it was impossible for them to come back, Scientist Dr David didnt really quite believe on what they said about Geronimon's ability to revive kaijus and thinks Geronimon probably disturbed these kaiju's slumber whatever it was doing was unclear but it was possible calling out for another geronimon in the area, and what it was doing to Red King and Gomora was possibly just an intimidation display and as for the statement for Godzilla killing them was a hoax as godzilla mainly just made them submit and leave but as for weither or not these were the same ones godzilla fought or just different individuals is unclear!

PHASE TWO... COMPLETE

Phase Two comes to a close with eight more monsters bidding us a fiendish farewell. Before we move onto the absolutely bonkers match-ups of the Spectacular 16, let's salute the mutants, mechs, and maniacs that have fallen in battle.

GIPSY DANGER

Despite a strong showing against The Kraken, GD can't escape that having a Romani slur in its name fuckin' sucks.

THE MEGAZORD

After besting arcade legend George, the Megazord met its demise at the hands of fellow TV-titan, Ultraman.

GOLDAR

Goldar managed to slay North Korea's favorite feral ferrum-feaster (Pulgasari), but EVA-01 sent him home to be a family man with his smoking hot evil wife Lami/Scorpina.

THE DRAGONZORD

Shockingly, all three Power Rangers/Zyuranger entrants were knocked out one after the other. The Dragonzord was able to wrangle Zilla, but Gyaoses swarmed it and buried it under several tons of not-bird shit.

CLOVERFIELD

The Balrog cracked his flaming whip and put NYC's biggest baby in a permanent time-out.

SKULLCRAWLER

The Balrog must be the superior beast-babysitter, because sweet lil Gorgo (likely with an assist from massive Mummy Ogra) crawled all over ol' Skull-head.

GEORGE

Video gaming's OTHER leading ape impressively put down ACTUAL FUCKING CTHULHU, but Gamera, the friend of all children and Guardian of the Universe flew circles around The Rock's beastly bro.

GOMORA

The Iron Giant is famously a platinum-plated pacifist, but the animated android has proven his metal mettle against the (non-Minya) Prince of the Monsters.

A theory I’ve heard for Destroyah being female is that the only thing similar to the aggregates in nature would be parthenogenesis, which is something only female animals can do (mostly arthropods, fish, amphibians, reptiles, and a few birds), where the female makes clones of herself to reproduce.

I’ve also seen a few female Varan interpretations, as well as a female Desghidorah and a handful of female Gryphons (1994 scrapped film antag).

Also there’s at least one female Monster X (and another one that’s genderfluid/nonbinary)

Mothra Leo being either transmasc or genderfluid crops up a lot, I’ve noticed.

There’s a rampant interpretation that the Godzilla in G2000 and vs Megaguirus is female, I’ve also seen female ShodaiGojis and Minillas (apparently Tanaka’s original plan was for Minilla to be female).

I’ve seen lots of people refer to Ramarak/the Skull Devil as female, though it was originally given a masculine name (McArthur) and what little material can be found on the subject flip-flops between male and female

I saw a handful of references to the Ion Dragon as female during the lead up to and early days of LOM but this appears to have dropped off

Moving outside the G-Fandom to the rest of the kaiju fandoms, if you’re interested:

Jiger is iirc confirmed on-screen to be female

Legion is assumed by nearly everyone to be female

I’ve seen an ever-increasing amount of female Gyaos, especially because they are seen on-screen to reproduce via parthenogenesis (see above) even though it’s not called that in the film.

Iris/Irys from my understanding was originally most often referred to as male, but in recent years I’ve seen more female, demigirl, nonbinary, and genderfluid Irises than males. And the bonus feature interview with Iris and Gamera that came with some versions of the film gave Iris a female VA.

I’ve seen one female Gamera (but that person was explictly basing Gamera off their female pet turtle)

Pacific Rim: Otachi is canonically female, Onibaba is very commonly referred to as female, I’ve seen Slattern, Mutavore, and Scunner also referred to as female to varying degrees. There are a few fans who claim that since the PR kaiju are all clones, they should all be female.

I don’t interact with the NGE fandom very much at all but I’ve seen Ramiel referred to as female multiple times

Jean Jacket is referred to with female pronouns on-screen but we never get a confirmed biological sex

The adult Clover at the end of The Cloverfield Paradox is very widely assumed to be the mother of the first film’s baby

Raiga, an Indonesian kaiju, is either confirmed female or very widely assumed to be (among the people that know of her)

Of the Ultra Series: Litra, Birdon, Melba, and Gigantron/Emi are confirmed female (there’s definitely more though). Seen female Eleking, Gomora, and Jirahs interpretations, can’t think of anyone else off the top of my head but there’s probably more.

So Godzilla, being film franchise that dates back to the 20th century, understandably lacks a large female cast, I wanted to see how many female kaiju the series actually has, but while thinking this over an interesting thought occurred

Japanese, as a language, has some differences regarding pronouns compared to English, and a lot of Kaiju get referred to in much more gender neutral language in original Japanese than they do in English, this has resulted in some interesting fan interpretations over the years regarding the genders of kaiju, and you bet I'm going to catalogue the ones I've encountered

Starting off, the explicitly canon female kaiju of the Godzilla cast:

Mothra

Biollante

Zilla (I think the movie tried to deny it, but the cartoon confirmed it, although final wars zilla is another question)

Megaguirus

Monsterverse actually brings a number of explicitly female kaiju into the fold including:

The female Muto from 2k14

Barb, the other female Muto

Scylla

Tiamat

Na Kika (formerly Kraken)

Shimo

Phosphera

Some of the other unseen titans from King of the Monsters might also be ladies, but given as they are still unseen, that's just blind speculation

Now we get to the interesting part, the fan interpretations

Manda, Kumonga, and Destoroyah all being female is a pretty common and old fan interpretation, I know from firsthand experience that it at least dates back to the 2000s, but it could even be older

Baragon by comparison is far more recent, and I know for a fact this interpretation can be sourced primarily to the fact that in GMK, Baragon's performer was Rie Ota, and a behind the scenes clip of her doing the roars in the suit made waves around the fandom and even outside it in the 2010s

Hedorah is another more recent one, but interestingly enough I've also seen enby, bigender, and genderfluid interpretations of Hedorah as well. I guess there's something about the smog monster that screams gender to fans

Titanosaurus is again a newer interpretation, but fascinatingly a even newer idea has popped up in the past couple years that Titanosaurus is the kaiju equivalent of a femboy twink

Rodan being female is a very interesting case, both in origin and mainly due to the fact it only really applies to the Showa continuity and various fan continuities that desire. Basically the origin of this is that in the original 1956 film Rodan, there are two Rodans, a mating pair. At the end they both fall into Mt. Aso. When Rodan reemerges from Mt. Aso in Ghidorah the Three-Headed Monster, there's only one. There's been speculation for years as to the origin of this Rodan, but for the longest time it was either assumed to be the male or somehow the child of the pair from the original movie. But in 2010s a new idea rose to greater prominence: What if the Rodan that survived and subsequently appeared in the rest of the Showa films was the female of the pair?

Battra is an uncommon interpretation, but I have observed it

@lydiathespiderqueen did some fanart of a female version of Toho's Frankenstein, as well as the Gargantuas, and it's really good

and @thesilkenlair did a compelling analysis of Spacegodzilla being female due to possessing physical characteristics of Biollante, as well as their behavior in the movie lining up disturbingly well with a phenomenon in nature where an animal will kill or try to kill the extant children of a prospective mate so undivided attention can be given to it and any potential offspring it may have

So uh, for the OG Ultraman’s enemies, what would the Tier Rankings be for the reoccurring OG Ultraman’s Kaiju/Aliens and why?

iirc I answered this before that virtually all are in Tier 2 because simply they just dont demonstrate anything beyond this scale

(To roughly recap, Tier 1 is basically just large animals [such as most of the Skull Island Titans], Tier 2 is your usual kaiju with beam attacks and whatnot, Tier 3 is usually the mid-series kaiju levels, Tier 4 is the usual final kaiju of the series and Tier 5 are essentially kaiju that has to have some broken ability like Greeza in its 3rd form and Neo IF as the most popular examples)

Quick example, most common counter people throw in to this is Zetton

Lets not forget Zetton got clowned on by EX Gomora (while also clowning King Joe Black Custom at the same time), and in turn, Five King suffered 0 knockbacks from EX Red King (which is scaled to EX Gomora), and in turn, Greeza (2nd form) still negative-diffed Five King. This sets up a very clear power scaling by TsuPro themselves

With exceptions such as:

Bullton:

When it bothers to REALLY use its ridiculously OP abilities to its fullest, 4D willpower (literally spacetime manipulation, even manipulating mass subconsciousness of its targets), casually resurrecting kaiju, manipulating space, it's basically a game-over for anyone that either does not have its own reality-warping abilities/capabilities or willpower to overpower its own.

Granted while its held back by its relatively low durability, to be frank, solely with its 4D willpower, its virtually impossible for most beings to come into physical contact with it anyways.

But as mentioned before, Ultras just happen to have the abilities/capabilities (strong willpower, their own reality warping abilities or enough energy to negate Bullton's own) to resist its reality warping abilities which makes it a joke compared to them because of how low its durability is.

This makes it at least a Tier 4

Albeit not the one that showed up in Z (was relatively much younger than the previous 2 incarnations which made sense)

Demonstrated very ridiculous reality-warping abilities in X, literally reducing X to a mere insect by shrinking his size and negating his own innate abilities

That feat alone speaks VOLUMES of his disgustingly OP powers tbh

Potentially a Tier 5

Notable mentions would be Mephilas obviously, but his threat lies not in his physical capabilities, but his intelligence as I covered in detail before for ShinU, which also applies to his main universe incarnations as well

SKULL GOMORA TRANSFORMATION

I kinda like how Cerebro transformed into Skull Gomora but, we still need the Fusion Rise transition back to make the Fusion Rise more better.

But still, Cerebro renaming Kaijus sounds really unique in this transformation sequence as it tells us of what each kaiju truly are.

Catchphrase-wise, it brought chills down my spine when he says that before conjouring to his fusion rise form in a form of the first Belial Fusion Monster.

I'm still glad Belial Fusion Monsters are making a comeback in this series.
