Tell me more about the kibbutz musical! I’m so intrigued!
Technically I'm not supposed to tell ppl irl but this is online sooooo. The play is about a teen and his sister moving into a kibbutz from England (they're Israeli at birth but have been living in England for most of their lives). Their dad couldn't make it with them to the kibbutz (and their mom is dead) since he has some business to take care of so they're waiting for him to arrive in the meantime. The sister Yisraela is extremely excited about living in a kibbutz in Israel and accommodates enthusiastically. But the brother Oz who is the main character misses their dad and is extremely unhappy with life in the kibbutz, having very little privacy, having to do lots of chores and sharing his things. This creates conflict with Avi, who runs the chores schedule and is pretty much the leader of their age group, so they split up said age group into those who want to keep living the traditional kibbutz life and those who want the rules to change. There's more to the plot obviously but this is pretty much the premise. The story and characters are original but we're using songs by Israeli music artist Harel Skaat. The show is called יבואו ימים אחרים (other days will come) which is his most recent song and the one the musical ends on.

Fans: An Essential Appliance for Comfort and Efficiency
Fans have been an integral part of human comfort and technological advancement for centuries. These devices, designed to create a flow of air, serve numerous purposes, from cooling living spaces to aiding in ventilation and even in industrial applications. The evolution of fans from simple hand-held versions to sophisticated electric models highlights their importance in our daily lives.
Historical Perspective
The concept of fans dates back to ancient civilizations, where hand-held fans were used for cooling and ceremonial purposes. In the 19th century, the invention of electric fans marked a significant milestone. The first electric fan, invented by Schuyler Skaats Wheeler in 1886, revolutionized how people managed indoor air circulation. This invention paved the way for the development of a wide variety of fans, each tailored to specific needs and environments.
Types of Fans
Fans come in various types, each designed to fulfill particular functions:
Ceiling Fans: These are mounted on the ceiling and are ideal for circulating air throughout a room. They are widely used in residential and commercial spaces due to their efficiency in providing a cooling effect while also serving as a decorative element. Brands like Orient, Luminous, and Crompton offer a range of ceiling fans known for their durability, performance, and energy efficiency.
Table Fans: Portable and convenient, table fans can be placed on any flat surface. They are perfect for personal use, providing direct airflow in a specific direction. Their portability makes them a popular choice for use in various settings.
Pedestal Fans: These fans are similar to table fans but are mounted on a tall stand. Their height is adjustable, and they can oscillate to cover a larger area, making them suitable for both small and large rooms.
Tower Fans: Sleek and modern, tower fans are designed to fit into narrow spaces while providing powerful airflow. They are often equipped with features like remote control, timer, and multiple speed settings, making them a versatile choice for contemporary homes and offices.
Exhaust Fans: Used primarily in kitchens and bathrooms, exhaust fans help in expelling stale air, smoke, and odors, thereby improving air quality. They are crucial for maintaining ventilation in areas prone to moisture and pollutants.
Industrial Fans: These heavy-duty fans are designed for use in factories, warehouses, and other industrial settings. They are built to handle large volumes of air and are essential for maintaining air quality and temperature in large spaces.
Advancements in Fan Technology
Modern fans are equipped with advanced features that enhance their efficiency and user convenience. Energy-efficient motors, such as BLDC (Brushless DC) motors, are now commonly used in fans to reduce electricity consumption while providing superior performance. Smart fans, which can be controlled via mobile apps or voice commands, are gaining popularity for their convenience and integration with home automation systems.
Additionally, fans with air purification capabilities have been developed to cater to the growing demand for cleaner indoor air. These fans are equipped with filters that can remove dust, pollen, and other pollutants from the air, providing both cooling and purification.
Choosing the Right Fan
Selecting the right fan depends on various factors, including the size of the space, the desired airflow, and specific features needed. For instance, ceiling fans are ideal for large rooms, while table and pedestal fans are more suitable for personal use in smaller areas. Energy efficiency, noise levels, and additional features like remote control and air purification should also be considered.
Conclusion
Fans remain an indispensable part of modern living, offering solutions for cooling, ventilation, and air quality management. With continuous advancements in technology, fans are becoming more efficient, versatile, and user-friendly. Whether it's a ceiling fan in the living room, an exhaust fan in the kitchen, or a tower fan in the office, these devices play a crucial role in enhancing comfort and promoting a healthier living environment.

eeeee I have no idea who to tag because everyone interacts with me on anon but this is such a cute thing that I HAVE to do it
(also I like the ugly Spotify blocks shush)
Ten Songs I Really Really Like (Because They’re Just That Cool)
1.
She is my all time favourite MCR song. The love of my life. I have her tattooed on me. I cannot live without her
2.
Mine and my dad’s favourite Creeper song. We’ve seen them live together 28 times and every single one was insane. We’ve made some of our best friends through this band.
3.
The first song I listened to after my second and third wrist surgeries. I am and will always be a whore for fall out boy. They were my gateway drug to emo and now I am addicted and gay and trans and mentally unwell and-
4.
Fave book fave musical fave everything. This was the musical I listened to before every med school interview. It’s getting inked on me as soon as I have more money
5.
again we’re back on songs that make me feel things about my chronic pain. I relate too hard to frank iero it’s almost embarrassing. This song is emotionally traumatising but like in a good way
6.
tiny little welsh band that I love!!! loveliest humans ever!!! haven’t seen them in forever and I miss them so muchhhhh
7.
song hasn’t even been out a full day and yet I would kill for her I would die for her I would spread my legs for her I would-
8.
classical piece may be a slightly rogue choice but she was my favourite piece to ever play with an orchestra and I love her to death
9.
look I’m Jewish ok I have to have one sappy emotional song in Hebrew on here like I’m legally required to this one is just soul touchingly emotional and I love it so so much
10.
who doesn’t love screaming about being mentally ill??? one of the best songs to belt out at a gig I sob my little ass off every single time
(Just picking ten songs was hard ok I’m too indecisive and I love so many bands 😭)
Tagging: anyone who’s bored bc yous all interact with me on anon so I don’t know anyone’s handles 😭
Wasn’t technically tagged by @sylveonikovilhelm - but it looked fun so I figured what the hell. The idea is to post 10 songs you like with names in the title, the tag 10 people. These games are great, you get to see how truely awful my music taste is. I doubt I’ll get 10 people, but I know I have at least 10 songs. In no particular order. I’m not gonna Spotify link them though, because those boxes are huge??? So I’ve got YouTube links for you instead. Let me know if I’ve mixed them up or something. 1) Helena - MCR Obviously. 2) Born Bob Dylan - The Veronicas I love them and I love this and yes, this is where I got my title from. 3) Tallulah - Sonata Arctica A very, very old favourite. 4) Suzanne - Creeper They filled part of the MCR shaped hole in my heart once upon a time. 5) Adrienne - The Calling The singer was actually my first music love. 6) Who’s David? - Busted I think this goes back further than number 3. 7) Mary On A Cross - Ghost They’re rather excellent live actually! 8) Cinderella - Britney Spears Ahhh. Britney was my gay awakening. Not that I knew it at the time! 9) The Harold Song - Kesha I like her particular brand of almost trashy pop and this song is ~feelings~ 10) What A Catch, Donnie - Fall Out Boy A bit of a mastepiece this one. No pressure tags - @xocasper @anystalker707 @robinruns @aprilpoison @x-whyareyoureadingthis-x And also, if you’re not tagged and want to, go ahead.
