Originally was hanging on to this head for possible MNF version of Polaire but decided against it ultimately. I've dressed her up nicely with a new faceup featuring painted upper & lower lashes and embroidery floss bows inspired by Simone Rocha. Bows are attached using white glue so can be easily removed with a quick water soak if they're not to your taste.

Nothing under $250, please! Faceup is painted with Tamiya and Golden acrylics and soft pastels, fully sealed with MSC UV Cut. Does not include eyes.

Ok. So. Talked about shelling my OCs in doll form and after discussing with my best friend (who's one of the few people who still knows these characters from when they were made), we put together a plan.

So... Plans.

Kita was easy. He'll be the new shell for my Logan.Dolls Claudia. I adora that sculpt, but the character I made for him kinda never really fit, so it is perfect. He's on the MDF slender body, which isn't ideal (Kita should have more muscles), but it's not too bad either.

Chiriko was also quite easy once I thought about it. My bestie immediately thought of Souldoll Janne from my collection, so I guess, it is another perfect fit, especially since I was gonna sell her anyway. She's gonna go on the Asleep Eidolon body I originally bought for this head to begin with. Body is a bit boyish, but the head looks nice on it, so... for now this will do.

Tenriel will get the Minifee Sylvia together with the Luts body I dyed to match. It's another doll that I really like, but never really did anything with, so it's nice that he will get a new purpose.

Tari will go with Minifee Sircca, who was supposed to be Sylvia's brother, so there already is a resemblance which is perfect for Tenriel's sister. She will go on the Minifee Moe body I already have.

Mali will be the new shell for Josh 1.0, aka Minifee Iru. Will probably stay on the Minifee Motion line body, unless I decide to swap it for the Logan.Dolls boy body I have. (though I like the doll he's currently for, so... we will see)

Now. Now we're reaching the dolls that I don't have.

Yume. For her, I thought of using my Luts - DFH hybrid. She has a cute face and the DFH body looks a bit thicker in comparison to the others. But I felt like the head was a bit too young looking and since it is on the bigger side, would probably look a bit weird next to Chiriko.

Then I found Impldoll Carlee and her face is just... perfect. It's so gentle and exactly what I have in mind for her. As for the body, I ordered her on the plump body. Since her Clothes have a lot of layers, I hope that will make up for the slender waist. I love the hips for her, and from what I've heard, she's a great poser. And if everything else fails, I still have the DFH body.

Alayses will get the Souldoll body I have left over after selling my sleeping Karsh. It is dyed currently and I'll have to strip that colour off, and then hope the colour match won't be horrible lol, but I'm positive. The head will be Minifee Jiyu that is on order (Ordered it along with a friend so she can get the body), and I'll try to mod the teeth and hopefully will get a similarly cute look like Angel Toast did

And lastly, Leera. I made her more muscular with her latest redesign and I knew this would be a challenge. Like I said in another post, I found the Miracle Doll body and my bestie agreed that it would fit her. So... I decided to get that one. Possibly next month, as this month I'll have to pay for new glasses and it seems like a new oven is needed, too...

As for the head, a friend of me was selling their Xiaomian Alul head, and while I'm still not 100% sold on the tongue, my bestie and I agree that her overall vibe is pretty fitting, so... I hope it will work out.

This one is the doll that will need the most work, because I'm 100% sure I'll have to mod the neck of the body (as it is PRETTY wide), and I'll also have to find new hands that will fit her big wrists, because I don't really like the hands that come with it... Wish me all luck, okay?

For bust sizes, I haven't seen any significant issues with clothing unless you're dressing them into something that has a fitted cup size! So I think it's fair to say that choice boils down mostly to aesthetics and preference.

I don't have a minifee with model legs anymore, but I recall noticing that a Sircca I bought in 2020 always had a little 'gap' in one knee that always bothered me - it's like the knee joint would never quite 'fully' close. Cutie legs are most common for minifees, but once in awhile when I see one with model legs, it seems they have a similar 'issue' as well, although I suppose that only matters if you can see their knees and if it actually bothers you or not.

Insofar as stability goes, my minifees have been stable. The Old Aline had issues standing because the leg lengths were different; the only issues with leg length and stability I've heard of for the renewal body is when/if the caves are warped, which I think is usually due to high temperatures when the doll is being transported in shipment. Fairyland strings their dolls very tightly.

I'd have to check later on my aline doll to see if she had the bum magnets, but I know my moeline in from late 2021 didn't have the butt magnet - they're currently in their boxes but I do want to say they both still had their shoulder magnets. When I emailed Denverdoll about the lack of a butt magnet, it seemed that was normal... Unfortunately, I had some unfortunate quality control with the moe and active line dolls from that order due to very poorly drilled channels in their legs - the moe pelvis internally had a lot of flashing and the active line's legs were abysmally drilled and very messy. I had a friend mod them to make restringing the active line feasible since if I got a replacement from DDE, the resin match could be off due to batch difference + time.

I have several questions, I need advice! 😊❤️

1. I wonder if anyone here owns a minifee with cutie legs that was made after 2016? I heard that they used to have problems standing up but that the model was redesigned in 2016 so now one leg should not be longer than the other anymore and I wonder if it can stand as it should now without falling over? Preferably if you have one with model legs as well so you can see the comparison, which legs do you think are better? Could it also be harder to find clothes that fit the cutie legs shape?

2. I also wonder about the different bust options a.b.c.d what is your experience, is one better or worse? Are they more difficult to find clothes that fit larger busts? 3. What tend to be the most common legs and busts online that people own? In case  I would order clothes from etsy or similar so I'm sire they will fit?

4. Does the fairyland minifee active line have magnets in the back and at the tailbone for wings just like the moe line? if they exist are they a special sculpt/event or can I pick any from the ala carte menu? And do all the minifees have "horn magnets" in their heads? Thanks in advance for help ☺️

The blindbox babies are super cute and probably the first arrival in a long, long time that I really don't have to mod in any way for better poseability. They're lightweight, hold all poses good, and are probably easy to mod and dye in the future.

So... I went looking through the dolls in my collection that I don't really have a lot of feelings for and... hng.

I would have dolls and bodies for some of them, but not all.

The LD Claudia could work as it is. Same for the MNF Sircca/Charmdoll hybrid (though might also take the body of the MNF Sylvia/Luts hybrid). Sylvia could work for Sircca's sister, but I'd need a body for her. And she'd need to get elf ears.

I theoretically do have a MNF moe body I could use for her, but... I kinda wanted to trade the doll with that body with a friend and how I'm torn about that 🫠

MNF Iru could also work for one of the characters, maybe? I would prefer a different body for him, but the minifee body would work, I guess. Alternatively, he could get the LD body from my Nanuri, and he then could get the mnf body... (though I liked how short the LD body was for him)

Souldoll Janne could possibly work for one of my grumpy guys, he could get the Asleep Eidolon body I originally bought for him. But I fear the head will be a bit small in comparison to the others? MNF Altis has a similar grumpy look but not the sharp eyes. He'd fit better with the others, though. Both of them have the problem of being white and therefore kinda lighter than I would like. But could still work.

Both the luts event heads could maybe work for one character. Both are a bit young looking, but maybe I could make it work... The dfh body I have for one of them would work nicely, I think, too. It's not exactly chubby like the character, but alas, I get what I can, and it's at least not as skinny as the rest?

Now. My elf girl. 3 elves in this setup and none works perfectly. Mnf Karsh and luts Kai could work? Karsh would need to be de-dyed and get the eyes opened... and body wise... hm. Could de-dye the souldoll body Karsh is on right now and hope they're somewhat similar in colour in the end? But not sure how I feel about it.

None of the heads really fits the last character though and I don't have a body for her either. Don't even know if there would be one to begin with (female and a bit on the muscular side).

So...

I guess that leaves me right where I was before, because I'll have to make decisions. And see whether or not I being myself to wipe some of these faceups?

Like Sircca and Sylvia. I like how they came out and they both look so good on their hybrid bodies. But I... don't do anything with them T_T

Ugh. I'll have to let this sit a bit and see what I'll do...

I sometimes hate my head.

I've started getting back into my old OCs recently and of course, my brain thinks "how about dolls", and of course, this can't happen because it's too many.

But then I thought, maybe just make some Cosplays for them? And that's a nice idea I think?

BUT THEN my brain went: "You know, you could go and just use the dolls you barely use and low-key wanted to sell anyway?"

And man, I hate that I'm... kinda in for it 🥲 I'm not able to sell any of the dolls anyway, and like that, I would have a use for them...

I think someone needs to talk me out of this 🙃

But then again, at least I'd have something to do with these dolls...
