I finished The Complete Sir Marrok, and I had this wacko-brilliant idea, at least in terms of a modern day (sort of) take on the tale:
The Complete Sir Marrok in the vein of The Dukes of Hazzard.
Just think about it.
Lady Irma could be some kind of witch from Appalachia, and Marrok could have his own land near the mountain range, and bonus points, he's the local sheriff! Heck, maybe he could even be a relative of some kind of high-class family, and therefore he's got enough ties to higher ups to pull some strings and get the people of his county good food, supplies, etc. It'd totally work!
And somehow or other, Irma gets to turn him into a wolf, though he'd likely have to be a red wolf - but hey, just make him bigger than normal. He'd still stand out to folks when he appears. A red wolf is a rare sight, and a big one even rarer.
Then Irma could be manipulating events, and she'd put in Prior Richard, who'd be our stand in for Boss Hog, as the mayor, while Morcar would be like some uber nasty invertion of Enos, trying to get Agnes (Daisy Duke) from Sir Simon (Uncle Jesse). That way, you could put in (maybe, I'm speaking crazy now) Bo and Luke Duke as the son of Sir Simon and one of them as Sir Roger, though maybe not so much Sir Roger. And you could still fit in Father John and the friars, though I got nothing on who could be standing in for them. All I do know is I'm picturing Jim Caviezel as Father John, and I keep having visions of Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister) as Marrok. Maybe Max Charles as his missing son Walter too (I will literally take them in live action or animation as this duo, modern day retelling or a straight up adaptation of the book. Please, I'm begging you, see my vision!)
Anybody else got ideas? Like Marrok's adventures as a red wolf who goes around the county saving people and searching for his son, who got sent out of state but returns as a young lawman?

Please enjoy this fluffy little Sketch comic I made instead of actually working on my main comic. Lol.
Yes, the wolf is Sir Marrok, he’s doing his best harmless pet routine. Galahad is constantly wondering why Arthur allows all these dangerous wild animals in his castle.
(And I still cannot draw animals for the life of me.)

On gods, 'werewolves are always blue-collar, poor, and poc' is not the fucking totality of werewolf fiction, and doesn't even touch on folklore and older works.
Here's some works off the top of my head with middle-class, upper-middle-class, rich werewolves, and or werewolf nobility:
Wolves of Wall Street (2002)
Little Women and Werewolves by Porter Grand, Louisa May Alcott
Mercy Thompson and Alpha & Omega series books by Patricia Briggs (there's rape, incest, and a boatload of misogynistic werewolf tropes be aware if you wish to read these)
The Wolf Man and it's remake
Werewolf of London (1935)
Blood & Chocolate (film 2007)
The Boy Who Cried Werewolf (2010 film)
Bisclavret
Lay of Melion
Le Morte d'Arthur
Sir Marrok: A Tale of the Days of King Arthur by Allen French
The Wolf Leader by Alexandre Dumas
Cursed (2005 film)
Full Eclipse (1993)
Howling II: Your Sister Is a Werewolf
The Howling (film 1981)
Ladyhawke (1985)
Moon of the Wolf (1972)
Silver Bullet (film 1985)
Cycle of the Werewolf by Stephen King
Teen Wolf (1985) and sequel
Trick 'r Treat (2007)
The Werewolf of Washington (1973)
Wolf (1994)
100% Wolf (2020)
Alvin and the Chipmunks Meet the Wolfman (2000)
Scooby-Doo! and the Reluctant Werewolf (1988) (we don't forget that Shaggy has inherited Confederate plantation owner wealth in this house)
The Beast Must Die (1974)
Bad Moon (1996)
Thor by Wayne Smith
And as always pls fucking read some folklore instead of just basing yer knowledge on monsters on watered-down memes based on pop-culture movies and paranormal romance novels.

calling it now, Marrok is going to do a heel turn to the light side. His entire aesthetic is pretty blatantly lifted from Rinzler in Tron Legacy, who is brainwashed Tron and does a heel turn to the light side. Possible connection to the Arthurian Legend Sir Marrok in which someone on MORGAN's council turns into a werewolf. (There is an Anooba named Marrok in Clone Wars as well that has a wolf like appearance but thats beside the point.) Filoni is a hack lol, he literally can't help himself!!!!!!

Movie/Tv Show/Anime idea: An Action Adventure where Aliens invade Earth but it’s way back in the past, Specifically Camelot during the height of Arthur’s Reign. Now instead of eliminating or toning down the more mystical aspects of Arthurian Legend we lean into them.
Sir Kay grabs his sword and starts heating it up to make a makeshift lightsaber before growing to his giant size and slicing through alien ground troops like they’re paper.
Gawain and Ironside (the Red Knight) are just tossing aliens around like nothing with their superhuman strength. Then when the sun sets and the aliens think they have the upper hand over Gawain who loses his incredible strength at night, they hear a wolf’s howl before being attacked by Sir Marrok the werewolf.
Sir Bedwyr piercing the Aliens’ superior technology with his magic lance before darting away like the Flash, Sir Ywain using his battle lion to defend the court, etc.
Even Merlin gets in on the action, using his extensive magic to create illusions and fireballs. Morgan Le Fay even comes out of the woodwork to help, summoning lightning to attack the aliens’ ships.
Arthur, still in possession of Excalibur’s scabbard, tries to initially greet the invaders, only for them to blast him with a plasma cannon. As the smoke clears, Arthur is unharmed but his horse is a pile of ash. Arthur just looks at the alien spaceship and says, “that was my favorite horse.”
In the final battle, right when it seems like the aliens have the upper hand, one of their spaceships crashes to the ground unexpectedly. Out of the crashed spaceship comes Sir Galahad wielding a sword clearly made out of alien technology. Turns out what Sirs Percival and Bors thought was Galahad ascending to Heaven was actually him being abducted by aliens, and he stowed away when he found out they were coming back to destroy Camelot. The Knights, now emboldened by Galahad’s return start pushing the invading forces back. Galahad actually goes to the Round Table at some point, finds the Siege Perilous, and breaks the back of it off to make a makeshift shield/vaporizing weapon.
Anyway the Knights win, Galahad decides he needs to go back to free all the Aliens’ captives and lead a rebellion against their oppressive empire. He also says he’ll tell all the stars what awaits them should anyone try to invade the Earth.
I’d watch that.

hey just to say, im trans and i really loved your poem about the werewolf
tried to defend it on another site but holy shjt did i felt like the reasoning voice of the poem talking in the void
anyway, thank you for your poem (im not nonbinary but it still hit a string)
by the way if you like this kind of stories about werewolves there is this french legend named Bisclavret about a werewolf being betrayed by his wife when she discover his lycanthropy even though he is harmless (its also very similar to the legend of Melion and the story of Sir Marrok in arthurian legends)
I hope it's okay to post this - shoot me a message and I'll take it down if not.
I'm not surprised it's been reposted, and if it has been done so in bad faith I would recommend blocking the poster/page and ignoring it. Otherwise, block the commenters. I'm really sorry you had to see the negativity and that it impacted you.
Don't give bigotry any more eyes than their own soulless gaggle. Don't engage with terfs as a rule, they're not worth the air and are inherently arguing in bad faith. There's a reason the only person I've responded to in the comments is someone who took issue with the poem rather than people, uh, just taking the side of the townsperson and proving my point 🫠
In happier points, thank you for the lovely message and especially for the recommendations! I'm really not all that familiar with werewolves as a genre, genuinely my favourite ones are in the beautiful mess that is the Van Helsing movie with Hugh Jackman 😂

The Wolves and Their Mythology in Star Wars
Wolves have played an important role in Star Wars so far, they are strongly linked to the World Between Worlds, they seem to play an important role in the spirit world within that universe, but in addition to these lotal wolves, we have recently the entry of new symbologies related to wolves and franchise recently in the Star Wars franchise
Tumblr media
Baylan Skoll is one of the new villains of the Ahsoka series, which is a character strongly linked to the World Between Worlds, but there is something that few people noticed the name Skoll is a reference to Norse mythology, in this mythology he was a wolf, son of Fenrir, a wolf son of Loki, he dedicated his existence to chasing Alfrodul the chariot that carried the Norse goddess of the Sun (Sól or Singel), this wolf however was not alone
Tumblr media
Shin Hati in the series is Baylan Skoll's apprentice, however, in Norse mythology Hati was Skoll's brother, he was like a brother a wolf, son of Fenrir and grandson of Loki, but instead of chasing the Sun he pursued the Moon
Tumblr media
The interesting thing is that in this mythology both Fenrir and Skoll achieve their goals, by devouring the Sun and the Moon they free their father Fenrir from prison during Ragnarok, thus starting this battle, it is worth representing that this Fenrir wolf kills Odyn in Ragnarok, and that possibly this could be the name of one of the planets in Ahsoka's credits, moreover in Old Norse Hati means "hateful", while Skoll means "treachery"
Tumblr media
But these are not the only wolves in the series, the third force user in the service of Morgan Elsbeth is an inquisitor named Marrok, a reference to Arthurian mythology, where Sir Marrok is a knight who served King Arthur faithfully and ended up being transformed into a wolf and lived like this for 7 years until he was restored to human form, it is worth remembering that the name Morgan itself is an Arthurian reference to the powerful Moragana La Fey
Tumblr media Tumblr media
That is, to reach Ezra and Thrawn, Sabine, Ahsoka and Hera will have to go through 3 wolves

It is deeeeeaaaaaad at work right now, I am going to Do Research (AKA watch the BBC miniseries production of The Chronicles of Narnia: The Silver Chair and liveblog through it) to take notes for my Ahsoka Silver Chair AU fixfic.
Under the Read More in case people want to go into that fic blind without any kind of spoilers.
I love the opening theme they did for the BBC Narnia stuff, it's just so warm and wholesome.
Ah Experiment House, I remember tumblr weirdos complaining that Lewis criticized English boarding schools like it for their hands-off "soft parenting" approach, which basically meant that the teachers did nothing while bullies ran rampant.
Or maybe they were weird about how Lewis seemed to imply the sex integration and female head were both bad for this particular school idk.
Anyway, enter Jill Pole, being bullied and having a crap time.
"I thought this was supposed to be a modern school where everyone was tolerant and respectful of other people's rights!"
It is a modern school, Jill, that's its entire problem alas.
Oof this is bringing back some elementary school hurts. (I too was chased around the playground for no damn reason at least once or twice.)
Props to that one male teacher that scolds the bullies.
Hello Eustace! :D
Hinting at Eustace's prior character development from Voyage, fun, fun.
So being that Sabine and Shin are filling the roles of Eustace and Jill for the fic here (somewhat, I think Ahsoka will also partly share Eustace's role) obviously I have to have one being the cynic and one being the True Believer.
Sabine is definitely gonna take the cynic role.
(Though Shin is going to be the one that receives the Signs.)
Ahhh the big cliff! I could put that as the map-reading place on Seatos where Baylan, Shin, Morgan and Marrok are camped out when Shin gets the vision from the Force about the Signs.
These effects are super dated lol.
(Part of this series' charm, frankly.)
Aslan being a right troll to Jill here lol.
I forgot how good this dialogue was.
Right, so this is gonna be the exposition dump story beat, to get us caught up. (Probably going to go to Baylan or Morgan.)
The Siiiiiiiiiiigns. :D
The music cue right here is so cozy and lovely.
The kids bungling the first Sign right off the bat, ha ha. The running theme of the book.
I think this owl is played by Warwick Davis? It sounds like him at any rate.
Trumpkin's hearing problems lol.
Ha ha I wonder if Trumpkin hitting his head on the carriage was improved/an accident.
Plus of filming this in Britain they have no shortage of actual castles to use as sets.
Delving into the angst of Narnia Time, ow.
Huyang is going to fit right into the Parliament of Owls inspired scene. (Another Exposition Dump beat.)
Backstory time!
*musing about possibly working the New Republic bureaucracy plotline in*
Lilliandil. :(
The backstory is giving me Ideas but I'm not sure how workable they'd be to integrate into the story. Maybe just as bonus filler behind the scenes for flavor idk.
(See the problem is that anything I do relating to Ezra has to have a tight lid kept on it, because that is the source of a fairly large twist. Might be able to work something in with the Noti though.)
Rillian was not taught adequate Stranger Danger I see lol.
"Accursed no longer to me." Okay Rillian, calm down. Stop thinking with your loins good sir.
Right, so as part of my agenda to Make 👏 Peridea 👏 Weird 👏, I have decided that there are going to be remnants of some kind of civilization of giants. The ancient Nightsisters had some kind of symbiotic relation to this ancient race, when they died out so did their knowledge of how to harness the Purrgil to cross the stars, so the group on Peridea was then cut off from their sisters in the main galaxy.
So lots of ruins, giant alien bones, landscapes shaped by the movement of this ancient species.
Puddleglum!
I love Puddleglum so much.
He's such an Eeyore.
Eustace trying to hold back a chuckle.
And Puddleglum is considered flighty for Marshwiggles lololol.
Jill rolling her eyes.
Jill wanting a bow and arrows instead of a knife, girl, do you even know how to shoot?
Travel montage!
Eustace boldly going up to the dragon to give it pats awww. He feels a kinship to it I bet. (Owing to his own dragoning in the last book.)
There are quite a few encounters I didn't remember from this journey, nice to get a refresher.
This stone giants sequence makes me think of the one in The Hobbit, not surprising, Tolkien and Lewis were BFFs.
Lolol Jill picking up on Puddleglum's doomerisms and tossing them back at him I love it.
Aaaaah it's her it's the Witch!
*vibrates from the dramatic irony of this scene*
Unnnngggggghh I wanna talk about the fic and how I translate the premise of this scene into it but I caaaaaaaaan't.
This actress does such a fantastic job of making the Witch seem cordial and benevolent.
So as mentioned I already have plans for a bone field on Peridea's surface (to match the bone rings around the planet, and just to emphasize the inherent deadness of the world), that's probably going to be my UNDER ME trench equivalent I'm thinking. Something Sabine misses in the moment while she's trying to get past it to somewhere else, thus missing that Sign.
The Tower is going to also be vaguely equivalent to Harfang. Not a one to one since plot points are kind of shuffled around a bit.
Man when you know the later reveal, all the giants' demeanors are so threatening and ominous.
The greenscreen isn't actually that bad in this sequence.
Drunk!Puddleglum! :D
Ooooooof the uncomfortable feelings from the Giant Queen saying to spoil Jill.
You leave Jill alone you creep.
This nightmare sequence is also quite unnerving.
Heh. This nurse giant has met her meat and now is having regrets. XD
Aslan himself turning up to repeat the Signs to them like a consternated customer service rep having to repeat their instructions for the billionth time lol.
Puddleglum insisting he can act chipper lolololol.
Jill putting on a masterclass act of "stupid little girl", love her. We stan.
"You're a growing child, we must fatten you up."
LINES THAT HIT DIFFERENT WHEN YOU KNOW THE REVEAL.
Ah ha Puddleglum's thousand yard horrified stare when the giants laugh about the talking stag they killed for the venison.
Tumblr media
You're overdoing it just a bit, Jill.
Aaaaaaaand there's the reveal, they gon' be eaten, fun stuff.
Flee children, flee.
Oof and now for the claustrophobia part of the story.
Hello Earthmen.
Jill absolutely not wanting to go further into the dark cramped underground hole, relatable.
C.S. Lewis just randomly throwing a giant slumbering Father Time into the plot here. Just to make you even more unnerved.
This part of the fic (the underground stuff) is going to be heavily shortened, I think.
Ooooh the design of the castle is nice.
Snake figures all over the place, very clever bit of foreshadowing that.
The stonework of this set looks like cascading waterfalls or cave formations it's really on point.
Rilliaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan! :D
(I mean we don't know it's him yet technically but still.)
Even under the full power of his enchantment he's defying the Witch any way he can.
Love the window glasswork of this set.
Yet more snake motifs. I'm sensing a pattern lol.
Rillian's actor does unhinged mood swings very well.
Oooooh and has a very nice Kubrick Stare too.
The subtle shift of mood when Jill mentions "Rillian" and "Narnia". Frick this is so so good, Rillian is Fighting From The Inside, I love this trope I love this trope I love it I love it aaaaaaaaah.
He's just half-sprawled across this table like he's a rabid animal holding himself back my gosh the physicality of his acting it's great.
The design of the Witch's headdress, oh man, how it fans out almost like a cobra's hood. They really gave you every single hint and foreshadowing that SHE BE A SNAKE YO.
How wickedly cruel of her spell to make him believe his one hour of nightly clarity is in fact an episode of madness.
And she bade him keep his visor down and not speak when she takes him aboveground on the slim chance someone might recognize him ohhhhhhhh what a bitch.
What a bitch.
*SQUEALS ABOUT THE IMMACULATE VIBES OF THIS SCENE*
THE WITCH INTENDS TO INVADE NARNIA WITH HER ARMY FROM BELOW AND INSTALL RILLIAN AS KING TO MAKE HER CLAIM MORE LEGITIMATE, BUT THAT'S WHY SHE HAD TO ENCHANTED HIM AND KIDNAP HIM FIRST, HE WOULD NEVER HAVE STOOD FOR IT IF HE'D KNOWN WHAT SHE WAS.
AND ENCHANTED RILLIAN HAS NO IDEA THAT SHE PLANS TO TURN HIM AGAINST HIS FAMILY AND COUNTRY AND USE HIM AS A WEAPON AGAINST THEM.
Friiiiiiiiiiiiiiiick so good.
Rillian's actor makes him so unnerving and scary here.
"I shall rule that land by the council of my Lady, who will then be my queen too." NNNNGGHGHKJHFHFHFF UNCOMFY.
Rillian's head visibly getting clearer as we watch his expression and his enchanted self can feel the spell weakening.
I may, uh, be liking this whole sequence a perfectly normal amount.
Tumblr media
THE TITULAR SILVER CHAIR.
Yeah sooooo, this whole iconic scene here is pretty much the inspiration for the Ahsoka fic.
And That Is All I Will Say About That.
Imma just once again appreciate all the snake and serpent design motifs here.
"We have no desire to do battle with serpents." Well, see, ABOUT that Puddleglum...
Rillian's desperation. :(
I just loooooove the "Ohhhhh shit." resignation and realization in Jill and Eustace and Puddleglum when Rillian begs them in Aslan's name. (Fourth Sign FTW.)
They're just like, "Crap crap crap crap, that was it, that was the Sign, what the hell do we do now?"
Good man, Puddleglum. Love you.
Aaaaaaand it broken. SUCH A GOOD SCENE.
"Lie there in ruin, vile engine of sorcery, lest your mistress should use you upon another victim." Go hard, Rillian.
Aaaaand there be the bitch.
Go away lady. No one likes you. >:(
And she immediately starts in with the gaslighting.
Ooooh the way Rillian flinches away from her hands as they try to touch his cheeks.
Uggggggggh I hate her so much. The false concern in her voice as she tries to get Rillian back under control.
She is giving great Seventh Sister vibes her, frankly, lol.
"There's Aslan."
*THE WITCH TWITCHES*
Ha ha love it.
And here's Puddleglum's Crowning Moment Of Awesome.
Ohhhhhh this... this effect has NOT aged well.
I mean the transformation itself is fine but the final puppet is fake as hell looking.
And of course the lair begins to collapse upon Witch death.
And they don't actually explain Bism in this adaptation, pity. That was one of the cooler bits.
Bye Puddleglum.
Bye Caspian.
And here be Aslan, very happy with his bumbling charges lol.
Oh man the thorn symbolism.
"He was pierced for our iniquities, he was crushed for our transgressions."
And hello young Caspian!
He's so bright and eager I love him.
"You're there too, in our world?"
"I am... but there I have another name."
FRIIIIIIIIICK.
*cries in Christian*
And now we get that cathartic scene where we terrify the bullies. Love it. Ha ha.
Aaaaand it done.
Wheeeee! I got some good ideas from this watch. Mostly in the realm of emotional beats to recreate. I had fun, I did not remember the excellent acting on the part of Richard Henders here, it was lovely. Tom Baker as Puddleglum was a right delight and it was a decent adaptation of the book.
Now to write down my brainstorming into the fic outline lol.

I think I’m going to be redoing a few of my character portraits now that I’ve got better equipment and have improved my skills a bit. (Most of the previous ones were done on my phone.) So here’s Sir Marrok!
I think Lancelot will be next to bring his design in more alignment with Galahad, who’s design has shifted somewhat.

Other people must’ve pointed it out already, but one thing I didn’t realize when watching season one of Carnival Row (because I wasn’t deep down the Arthuriana rabbit hole back then) is that ‘Marrok’, the word for werewolf in that universe, is a reference to Sir Marrok, the knight of the Round Table who, according to Le Morte d’Arthur, “was betrayed with his wife, for she made him seven year a wer-wolf”.

Ahsoka Episode 4 Spoilers/Thoughts
This was...a big one, to say the least.
Also note to self do NOT open tumblr while in the middle of watching an episode or you will be spoiled for that epic ending *sobs* oh well...
SPOILERS BELOW THE CUT
2/2 Star Wars characters repairing ship wiring on their back...v nice
Sabine, you realize none of you would be in this position if you hadn't squirreled away with the map in your tower...jus sayin...
"Can I count on you?" Yeah I'm gonna say that's a no...
Sabine loading her blasters is super cool but also giving me flashbacks to trying to reload staple gun or nail gun cartridges and hoping you don't launch them into your face in the process
Natasha plays Sabine's nervous energy very well and Rosario is showing Ahsoka's own unease, reserve, but also very caring concern, extremely well. I really wish we could see the history between these two--animated in between series anyone??
I wonder why Dave doesn't bring up the fact that Ahsoka owes Ezra her life. It's only focused on what Ezra means to Sabine, but he means a lot to Ahsoka too.
Huyang's lil hands on hips...you can tell he's a full practical build here.
Speaking of...I REALLY want to know if the practical robot was used for this fight scene, or if they switched to someone in a costume/CGI. It seems like the HK droids are people/CGI but I could be wrong about that. Either way, go Huyang go!
It's always a treat to see Mandos and Jedi fighting styles together. And Sabine's Wonder Woman vambrace block was great.
Ahsoka's white lightsabers are so stunning in live action.
"May I make one request of you both?" LISTEN TO HUYANG. HE KNOWS WHAT'S UP. "Stay together." And WHAT ARE THEY NOT GONNA DO SMH
"Mom, how come I have to do what I'm told and you don't" lmao
Jacen is so spunky and I'm so glad Dave is having him be a full part of the series.
Carson Teva my man! And Brendan!
BUT WHERE ARE ZEB AND KALLUS. WHERE ARE OUR MARRIED BOIS
"Faith? I lost that a long time ago" Baylon's backstory pleaseeeee. Who was his master. How far did he get in training. Was he knighted? Did he have a padawan pre-order 66? Where was he during the war? Where was he during Order 66? When did he walk away, and what did he walk away to? What are his goals now? How did he find Shin/why did he want to train her? We desperately need a comic or a book here Lucasfilm
The graphics for the countdown clock (and the droids manning them) are super cool
Shin dear lord can you be any more dramatic
Sabine and Shin running off like rabid wolves while Ahsoka is just like, oh please, do I really have to deal with this right now
Ahsoka > any inquisitor, dead or alive, magic or real, anytime, any place, any age LOL
Ugh the parallels to Obi-Wan and Maul are impeccable.
So I totally knew Marrok would be a nobody/throwaway character but a nightsister necromancer ghost??? Did not see that coming at all. Eerie
Shin seems honestly disturbed by seeing Marrok fall. I wonder if the body that was used was someone she knew or had a connection to.
The lightsaber usage in this show is so interesting and such a unique blend of samurai techniques, OT trilogy techniques, and more realistic stabbing and swiping and slicing motions. I love the choreography and cinematography of Shin and Sabine going at it as well as how the trees and landscape are used in their fight.
Looks like Shin got her dramatics from her master. Sitting there with his hood up for effect lol
Definitely getting flashbacks to Ahsoka's sass in her fight with Maul in TCW.
Baylon's textured armor is so incredible. I want to see him leading a 13th century cavalcade
Can he read people's minds? Or does he do in depth research like Thrawn does so he knows the weak points of his opponents?
“One must destroy in order to create.” No. You are incorrect sir. One must die. One must morph, must change, in order to create. But that is different than destroying.
Again with the one saber. It's such an odd choice for Ahsoka to do that, and it honestly feels like an excuse for Baylon to be able to overpower her later. I don't quite like it.
It is very interesting how Baylon views Ahsoka, and tells her that her legacy is death and broken promises. What exactly does he think her legacy is? Because that is Anakin's legacy, not hers (at least through Rebels). What has happened since then?
He looks so sad, honestly.
There's way too much leaving oneself open to attack in this episode.
The fight scene definitely looks slowed down a little, and it's a little clunky, but man Baylon is brutal with his saber. Again why is Ahsoka not using both of hers to combat is strength??
Either there's a trailer shot that never made it into this fight, or Baylon and Ahsoka fight again. I'm missing where she kicks back against one of those tall rocks and flips over. That was such a cool shot.
I honestly can't believe Shin was able to block the whistling birds lol. That would be an intense hit to the face. Also I love how much of the shots and sparks in these shows are practical. It makes it feel so much more real.
The map burning Ahsoka is wild. It makes sense but very unfortunate.
Hot damn Ahsoka! She definitely was tapping into some anger there. In real life that hit to the back of the head should have seriously injured Shin. Filoni is really being gritty and brutal with the fights in this show, they're raw and dirty in ways that the trilogies were not.
Aaaaaand while I know Ahsoka isn't dead yet (there's no way Filoni would kill off the title character halfway through a first season) holy cow that was heartwrenching
Baylon is a master manipulator. He makes Maul look like a babbling teenager. And yet he doesn't seem to derive any twisted pleasure from it. He just is doing what he thinks he needs to do.
I'm sorry Ahsoka had WHAT to do with Sabine's family dying???? In the Purge??? Ugh geez that's awful.
Gah DAMN it Sabine!! C'mon girl!! Bad decision, bad decision!
WHAT IS THIS GREATER GOOD BAYLON
I would have loved to see Obi-Wan face off against Baylon. The quiet patience and calm strength...too much for one room
He is just not done digging at Ahsoka is he. Again, master manipulator, but why?
Huyang's little magnifying glass!
Dave definitely nailed the lighting in this show. Even if the volume is still apparent in some shots, the lighting is finally dialed in and soft and realistic and atmospheric. That shot of Baylon after decimating the map is epic.
Yeahhh, Hera, ya'll might want to skedaddle right quick before you get....oh, too late....
"Mom? I've got a bad feeling." Me too kid, me too.

We think--DAVE WHAT DOES VADER THEME MEAN. DAVE, SIR, HOW DARE YOU KNOW HOW TO LEAVE US ON SUCH A CLIFFHANGER IT IS UNFAIR.
Welp I have no idea what to do with myself until next week and we find out what's going on here. I swear if that's not the real Anakin I will be beside myself.
