Introduce yourself, please! Who are you?

Hiya! I’m Writhing/Sintero, antithesis of good taste, and black sheep of the Staraccuser fandom. ;D

According to @scorpling: It was a thundering night, ages ago, when I was first summoned onto the realm of mortals in a ritual of blood and screams. And now, for the greater purpose that was placed upon me, I find myself in the arts of carnal pictures and words.

I also take commissions.

How and when did you get into the pairing?

Fun fact: I’m a fandom granny. So, after watching GotG and falling in love with the characters, I unhooked my phone and booted up the good ol’ dial-up modem to go onto the interwebs. As it turned out, Yahoo!groups and Livejournal were apparently no longer the “in thing,” and I found myself having to consult the Google to find out where all of the hip kids were congregating (and posting porn). The first result was Tumblr, the first search I did on Tumblr was for Ronan, and the first post I ever liked was the Staraccusevents call for gift requests. After perusing the Staraccuser tag, I realized that, “hey, yeah, it would be pretty sweet if Peter and Ro were boning.” That’s when Staubengel sunk her claws into me, and never let go.

What made you stay in the fandom?  

An intense and well justified fear of @staubengel hunting me down where I live and permanently removing my kneecaps.

Well, that and the fact that Ronan will never stop being my favorite bald, blue sex god. <3

What do you like about the pairing?

I really enjoy the balance of Peter’s bombastic personality and Ronan’s flat affect. It makes for a fun dynamic to explore in fanworks.  

Too, I’m almost thankful for the MCU version of Ronan being rather unidimensional in that it allows for a lot of Leeway (har har har) in playing with the potential of what his character could be.

What was your favourite part of GotG with them in it (not necessarily together)?

I adore the intro in the first GotG! We see Peter’s trademark buffoonery, but his immature facade belies the competence and strategy with which he then escapes Korath and Co. It’s a really neat way of layering his characterization with nuance so early in the film.

For Ronan, I love the scene where he battles Drax and dumps him in the vat of CSF. Everything Ronan does in this scene is so lackadaisical. His power is vast and he’s confident in his own strength. He’s lovely.  

Do you like your Ronan redeemed or still a fun, blue zealot?

Redemption is for the weak! ;D

Honestly, I tend to stray from the zealot concept, but he will always be a murderous, self important jackhole to me.

What is your favourite kink/setting/trope/AU for this pairing?

I’m a sucker for Ravager!Ronan. Having him as a self-serving antihero, working in conjunction with Yondu, is the single most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen. *swoons*

Extra points if Ronan is a disgraced, disenchanted Accuser when he joins up.

Extra, extra points if he’s Yondu’s underling.

What kind of content to you create within the fandom? Fanfics, fanart, edits, something else?

Oh gosh, all of the above! XD Most of my fanworks are either art or fic, posted here and on AO3.

What is your favourite self-made content you yourself have created for this fandom?

Probably my fic Ebb and Flow (http://archiveofourown.org/works/11035590), on AO3. Ravager!Ronan is my jam, and this fic was my first foray into really exploring his character. <3

Tell us a bit about it! How did you come up with the idea behind that content and how did you bring it to life?

This was actually written as part of the Staraccuser Week extravaganza on Tumblr. Each chapter is essentially a snapshot of Peter's life as he grows up aboard the Eclector under the reluctant guidance of Ronan, with the chapter concepts corresponding to the daily themes of Staraccuser Week.

It was wickedly fun to write, and @prisdreamsbravely was absolutely instrumental to the process of bringing my vision to life. Though, fair warning, please heed the tags.

What other fan(s) do you admire in the fandom?

There’s so much unbelievable talent in this fandom! It’s hard to list everyone! Off of the top of my head:

They are all wickedly good at what they do, and amazing people to boot.

What is your favourite content someone else has created for this fandom?

This fandom led me to meeting some genuinely amazing friends, and I am forever thankful for such a gift. <3 <3 <3
