I’m very up for Iceland‘s message in its “banned” Christmas TV ad – available to view via YouTube– asking people to stop buy products containing palm oil and, in turn, hopefully helping turn the tie on the environmental destruction that results in the deaths of some 25 orangutans every day…

A demo piece done with Salon Alpin for the ‘IFCC’ and ‘Artillery Second Shot’ creative conferences. The goal on our end was to create as much depth in the character as possible, without placing any extra brush strokes on the flat cell animation.

FAKE gameteaser "Schlepperkönig" NGO project from Salon Alpin on Vimeo.

Aa couple of weeks ago We was asked to visually support an NGO campaign for Sea Eye. A NGO putting their efforts into rescuing people in distress and in danger of drowning during their highly dangerous crossing of the Mediterranean Sea. Besides achieving to attract the public eye, this harsh and controversial teaser project was more of a social mirror than anything else. Leaving me amazed by the amount of hypocrisy and cynicism. Much Better Now es un cortometraje de animación dirigido y animado por Philipp Comarella y Simon Griesser. Narra la historia de un punto de libro que lleva años descuidado entre las páginas de un libro que trata el tema del surf, una ventana abierta hace que salga de su letargo y las páginas del libro que lo arropaba se convierten en olas gigantes que le rebelan un nuevo mundo por descubrir.
