Regency Era Accessories Part 4:
I've converted these lace caps from Sims 2 creators maya40 and Simbury, when downloading please read the description.
Aren't you sick of your married maidens not having proper attire to cover their lovely locks? Perhaps your spinsters are also in need of covering their hair to avoid more shun than they're already exposed to in society. How scandalous your married lady sims must feel straying away from God with their hair uncovered! Allow me to present you 3 lace caps for your ladies to wear during the day.
Julia: A laced day cap with a front ribbon used for morning and daywear during the early Regency Era (1795-1837) but this style will work for 1810s-early 1820s
Sophia: A small fitted lace day cap with side ribbons used for morning and day wear. I suppose if you'd like you can slap this one on for some formal dinner parties too, but I think my turbans work better for that. I used separate textures from the original mesh by Simbury and slapped some ribbons on there too. My inspiration was to get a cap like Louisa Hurst from Pride and Prejudice 1995. Meant for the Regency Era (1795-1837) but this style worked for the late 1790's-early 1820s.
Frances: Same as Sophia Cap just bigger and less fitted. Works for more elaborate hairstyles.
BGC and Hat Slider Compatible
Pics of actual Lace Caps down here. You may hear them referred to as either Mob Caps, Dormeuses, or Lace Bonnets, but I'm just going to stick with lace caps as that's what I've always called them. If you were alive back then you would've called it a Bonnet but I apologize I was born in the 2000s.
Ah, what a lovely day for gossip between 3 married upper-class ladies. What else would they rather spend their day doing?
I wonder what Julia and Sophia are talking about? Perhaps Julia caught her husband leaving the male servant quarters half undressed in the early hours of the morning with his clothes all undone. That would explain that sly look on Sophia's face. It's fine, they got into an arranged marriage anyway and he's rich so of course she won't say anything.
Poor Frances seems to be sulking in a corner and oh she's in black, she's mourning. I wonder for who? Oh no, are those tears I see?! Perhaps this conversation brings back painful memories of her late husband too! He had his fair share of dabbling in bed with his male servants as well...

Okay, this 4t2 conversion was a doozie, and it still isn't close to perfect. But I think this is as good as I am capable of getting it for the moment. While there are some imperfections to this conversion, I will 100% still use it because boyo outfits are always lacking. Besides, we can't let @simbury do all the heavy lifting, can we?
For some reason the vertices around the lapel and jacket had big gaps when I imported it to Milkshape. It was truly a nightmare getting this together, but I just loved @theroyalthornoliachronicles's TS4 version so much that it was worth the energy.

PU Warm Dress (with pantalettes) - Regency Conversion Set pt. 1
This is a conversion and recolor of @simbury's Dotted Flowers dress, which was so cute that I decided to learn how to do 2t4 conversions. It's the first piece in a Regency-themed set (of indeterminate size) that I have planned for the end of 2023. I assume I'll be too busy for CC-making for a large part of 2024 (yay matriculation exams!), so you could consider this set an attempt to make up for that.
I've used the word regency a few times, but this dress is pretty timeless. Just like... 1800 to 1900. Kids' clothes are neat like that.
The very first swatch (the blue one below) is from the original ts2 dress, but the rest are my recolors.

30 swatches + a 26-swatch accessory overlay for the bow tie
Tagged as unisex
Everyday, Formal, Party, Cold Weather
Found in the Long Dresses category
A little bit of weird weights stuff going on down by the pantalettes, so if your toddler is a particularly wiggly one, part of their pantalettes might move like a skirt

Dance Suite: A Maxis-Match Rococo Clothing Set For C-EF
This was inspired by my frustration with the Store's "Morning in the Garden dress," which is a decent approximation of a robe a la Francaise, if somewhat costume-y. The channels were poorly assigned, the mesh was nowhere near as wide as it ought to have been at the hips, there were no engageantes, but worst of all, there was no maternity morph for the young adults and adults! So I set out and made one. And then I adjusted the channels to make things much more fashionable. Because I can't be the only one to look at extant examples with mix-and-match stomachers, robes, and petticoats and think "YES PLEASE!"
Option one (seen in picture four) has a channel for the robe, the petticoat and bows, the stomacher, and the tucker (1), choker, and engageantes (2).
Option two has a channel for the robe, the bows, the stomacher and bows, and the tucker, choker, and engageantes.
Option three has a channel for the robe and stomacher, the bows, the petticoat, and the tucker, choker, and engageantes.
Option four has a channel for the robe and petticoat, the bows, the stomacher, and the tucker, choker, and engageantes.
This dress is available for Everyday, Formal, Career, Makeover, and Maternity for Teens (Courante), Young Adults and Adults (Allemande), and Elders (Sarabande).
And then I made a vaguely Rococo dress for the children, because I was sick of putting them in the Tudor dress, and they couldn't all wear Danjaley's dress all the time! The style could fit anywhere from, say, 1680 to 1780, though the polonaise-style ruffles might be more suitable for the 1770s-80s. It's darling, in my opinion.
Option one (not shown) has the original yellow gold rick-rack trim.
Option two has a new bronze rick-rack trim.
Option three has a new silver rick-rack trim.
All of the options have the same channels: bodice and skirt, sleeves, stomacher, and trimming.
This dress is available for Everyday, Formal, Career, and Makeover for Children (Gavotte).
There are some really harsh shoulder seams that I can't smooth out. Additionally, the child dress has a strange gap between the sleeve cap and the sleeve that I can't figure out; I may revise this when I'm more skilled at frankenmeshing.
All photos are unedited; what you see is what you get! You should not need the Store dress or Generations for these dresses to work.
Download them here. I hope you have a happy holiday season, and may this new year be safe, happy, and full of simming!
Credits
EAXIS for the original "Morning in the Garden" dress, as well as the "Dress With Bolero" and "Princess Dress Costume."
KentConverts for the teen and elder female conversions of said "Morning in the Garden" dress, as I took those meshes and bonedeltas and ran with them; you can have my dresses and Kent's at the same time, as they're separate items.
Edorenel, whose Colonial Williamsburg palette I used to make reasonably-period but still visually distinct presets in CAS.
@danjaley, for the poses, inspiration photo, and the wonderful tutorial on bonedeltas.
@simlicious, for the patterns and troubleshooting my initial forays into meshing!
(1) The "tucker" is the trim along the inside neckline. I decided to put it on the same channel as the engageantes and choker because I like the look.
(2) The "engageantes" are the lacy sleeve trim seen here. One day I'll make a set that actually is meshed...
(3) The self-stripe you see on the elder model is a pattern in progress of my own, borrowed from @simbury's silk stripes texture for TS2. I'm a sucker for self-stripes.

Romantic Residence minimum CC
Phew! It's finally done, haha, I always love the design of Romantic Residence, which is my dream house when I grow old and grey like the Goodie old couple. However, since it's too flowery and greeny it reminds me of Florence Delarosa. So yeah, I give this lot to her instead of the Goodies (who supposedly should live in an apartment? since they came in that package?)
The lot size is medium to large size around 3x3, I added a garage and a small pond which originally belonged to Delarosa's house on 15 Meadow Lake. The design is pretty much the same as Maxis's one with a touch of Florence in it. Of course I removed her home business to Just Flower and More lot cos let's be honest, business at home kinda flop ahaha.... (cos u keep getting negatives). I also recommended this mod for the rugs, by HugeLunatic
I always thought Florence is actually a romantic despite being a knowledge sim, and Gilbert as her first friend makes me feel right. So yeah, please enjoy my work and go crazy with it... haha

Regency Career Pack Part I: Uni Careers
Finally, I’m ready to release my first career pack. This has been an ongoing project for many months and is part of a collab by the Historical Sims discord. I’ve done a fair bit of the actual writing and have permission to upload the careers so here goes.
You may have seen some of these careers before. I’ll leave those versions up but they have some typos/errors that have been fixed here, and this is a career pack so the pay scale and some of the “lore” I included is consistent across all of them. I tried to make the pay realistic and challenging as appropriate for the era. Mostly the lower levels start out between $15-95 simoleans, the middle levels are $150-400 simoleans, and the higher levels cap out at about $750-900 simoleans. There are some outliers like the Pauper career (to be released) the Politics career (also to be released, and the idea is that only wealthy landowning males run for office so the pay reflects that) and the Courtier career which is based off of the royal titles in the Victorian Challenge by @victoriansimmer and uses the pay outlined in the challenge rules. Generally the writing style is a bit “goofy” and maxis match. I don’t know how to change the icons or LTW text so I’m sorry, that won’t match the defaults. They’re meant for the regency era but I tried to make the careers flexible enough to fit in the Victorian era as well if needed.
This pack includes the uni careers. I’ll be releasing my careers by ep in a zip file. Everything will be clearly labeled in case you only want certain careers replaced.
Credits to @victoriansimmer of course for her victorian challenge, lovely personality, and the Historical Sims discord where this collab took place, @simbury for resources, knowledge, helpful ideas for the Natural Science and Paranormal defaults which were really hard for me to come up with, and just generally being the high queen of everything and anything regency related. Credit also to @kidinthenight who I’m pretty sure started the whole idea of this career pack and made some of the original files as well as a document that I used, @morgaine2005 who made a lot of the original medieval career replacements and inspired many of my ideas, aysarth who allowed us to use a lot of their ideas and custom regency careers (I don’t know if they have a tumblr. Let me know if they do and I’ll tag them.)
TLDR these replace the four uni careers, they have a consistent style and payscale and a bunch of amazing people helped to create them.
Spoilers under the cut, and here is the link to the files!
http://www.simfileshare.net/download/3870331/
So, some more info about the replacements:
Paranormal: The replacement is very similar to the original career, with tweaked pay and some levels moved around. Your sim starts off as a “Weirdo,” then works their way up to reading tarot, hypnotizing sims, performing phantasmagoria shows, and eventually leading a cult. Custom chance cards to fit the era.
Show Business: Replaced with a courtier career. Your sim starts off as a “Hanger On” who is a guest of an established courtier, then they advance to “Court Diamond” and work their way up the titles listed in the Victorian Sims challenge, with the daily pay indicated in the document as well. Skill and friend requirements are the same as the maxis ones, so pretty steep. I think making friends and working on charm, beauty, and accomplishments is a realistic way to move up the court ladder, and the challenge document doesn’t specify how sims are supposed to move up to the higher titles so I just let my sims progress in the career normally (wants based.) The hours are pretty short, your sims just go to court for a couple hours to socialize and attend garden parties. Custom chance cards to fit the era and theme, with your sim having to interact with other courtiers and behave themselves at parties.
Artist: Just a more era appropriate artist career, similar to my previously released one with fixed typos and pay scale.
Natural Science: Replaced with a Botany career, where your sim starts out working on a farm shoveling dung and caring for plants, moves on to freelance botany work before getting work at a university and potentially eventually becoming the royal landscaper. Custom chance cards included featuring your sim working in a cowplant lab, sculpting splendiferous hedges for nobles, and conducting experiments.

the Incidentals series - part 2
I wanted to make bodyshape meshes for some sims, but I didn't want to make separates, I wanted full body outfits. So I combined separates to make outfits, and since I have to do the AF size first anyway, I figured I might as well make these and post them too as they're just a step in the process. (PS, I sort of burnt myself out again at this point and haven't done the bodyshapes yet, lol. Always doing more than I have spoons for.)
Folder to pick what you want: SFS | Box
Under the cut you'll see the names of the meshes as well as credits.
"blouseshirredpressedpants" 4t2EP11BlouseShirred with 4t2PressedPantsBelt both converted by @mdpthatsme with 3t2bootyheels converted by @simsinsania
"sagetunicberlinpants" Saurus's Sage dress made into a tunic by @kaluxsims with H&M Berlin pants separated by Amaryll with 3t2EP09midboots converted by @skeleton-teacup
"couturestride" @yuxi-downloads 's Conservative Couture (with mdpthatsme recolors) separated by me with Yuxi's InStride bottoms separated by mdpthatsme
"rufflestride" 3t2EP07rufflejacket originally converted by Pudding here but their files always crashed my game, so I took it back to Milkshape and rebuilt the mesh and recolor files (will release my version in a few posts) with Yuxi's InStride bottoms separated by mdpthatsme
"Wordsworthshorter_blockfeet" @eltaninz's nightgown made shorter with recolors from them and @simbury
"eliseberlinpants_multishoe" Clumsyalien's Elise top converted by @platinumaspiration with H&M Berlin pants separated by Amaryll with 3t2EP09midboots converted by SkeletonTea and 3t2bootyheels converted by simsinsania

Get to know you- Sims Style
I was tagged by @simbury
What’s your favorite Sims death? -- I find it incredibly entertaining that sims can spontaneously combust if they get too warm.
Alpha CC or Maxis Match? -- mix, but ig it leans towards realism nowadays.
Do you cheat your sims weight? -- not that I can think of. sometimes if I am shooting a specific scene and they weren't that shape at the time. but not during gameplay.
Do you move objects? -- absolutely. I'm incapable of decorating without moveobjects on honestly.
Favorite Mod? -- uhm... I guess the 3t2 traits project or ACR/Romantic Standards.
First Expansion/Game Pack/Stuff Pack? -- I have been playing ts2 since it literally came out, so my first ep was whichever one came out first. I think that was Uni? but in spirit of the question, for sims 4 I only bothered downloading the game when they came out with cottage living lol.
Do you pronounce live mode like aLIVE or LIVing? -- aLIVE. my brain always said essentially like a movie set "and we're live!" so.
Who’s your favorite sim that you’ve made? -- Evren Thorne (who you're more likely to see in @luverofralts or @nappe-plays-the-sims game than mine) because he's not story relevant yet, or (much to everyone's chagrin) Callum
Have you made a simself? -- at some point far in the past, yes. I do not have that sim anymore, and I probably wouldn't do it again, but yk. I was also 11 when I started playing this game, so of course I made a digital barbie of myself. (not to say it's childish to do in and of itself, but that it's definitely something that every child tends to do)
Which is your favorite EA hair color? -- since ts2 only has 4, I'm going to assume this was more ts4 centric. in which case I like the neutral blonde/light blonde colors (the two that are less yellow)
Favorite EA hair? -- eh. for ts2 I wouldn't use any of them. for ts4... the mullet thing from werewolves? ig.
Favorite life stage? -- teens or young adults. (I think I may be the only person I know how actively likes Uni for ts2 the most lmao)
Are you a builder or are you in it for the gameplay? -- oh. both. depends on my mood.
Are you a CC creator? -- yeeeup. recreationally though. (read: with no real consistency.)
Do you have any Simblr friends or a Sim Squad? -- I feel like I do lmao. I at least hope they feel the same LOL.
Do you have any sims merch? -- I now have a gameplay guide for the original Sims game lol. but I think that's all I own.
Do you have a YouTube for sims? -- nope. I uh... don't like watching gameplay videos, and sims machinema is way too time consuming to make so I do not.
How has your “Sims style” changed throughout your years of playing? -- oh gosh. I was one of those edgy emo kids so it was a lot of grunge and dyed hair and bright makeup. I've honestly been leaning a bit more towards that style again though so....
Who’s your favorite CC creator? -- depends on what I'm looking for. tbh a LOT of the CC I have now is older stuff that I just still like. but anyone who isn't exclusively making 4t2 stuff is probably someone I've downloaded from.
How long have you had Simblr? -- technically this blog since January 1st 2020. that being said, I moved from LJ to simblr in like.... idk, 2012? whenever that great migration happened.
How do you edit your pictures? -- a lot of photoshop. color correction, a slight film grain at the very least. most times I also do aesthetic edits to hide clipping, and add painted hair strands nowadays. if I can't get an emotion right for a screenshot, I edit those too.
What expansion/ gamepack is your favorite? -- for ts2 I really don't think I could pick one. the problem is I use like 90% of them for SOMETHING gameplay wise, even if I don't use the main function. ie: I love the chemistry/attraction from nightlife, even though the whole downtown thing is frankly annoying sometimes (do YOU WANT TO GO DOWNTOWN? no, random townie I do not. ) But, seeing as I listed it earlier, I guess university.
Tagging uhm.... @rebouks, @pralinesims, @luverofralts, and @nappe-plays-the-sims

She's got Victorian black boots, she's got fat morphs, she's got pregnancy morphs . . . Robe de Alexandrine is here for TS2 AF, and she may be my favorite thus far!
I can't thank @theroyalthornoliachronicles for creating the TS4 version. I have moped about not having proper dresses for balls, and, well, problem solved! The neckline is a thing of dreams!
@simbury finally cracked the code on why I couldn't get morphs to work. From now on, my outfits will have fat and pregnancy morphs, and it's all thanks to her kindness!
Creating this beauty in only 8 colors is probably a crime. How is everyone feeling about my selection of 8-10 colors for each outfit? I don't want to clutter your outfits tabs, so I've been hand selecting Historian palette colors that I think fit the dresses and eras best. Welcome to feedback, as always!
