My tmnt fan iteration is basically just the turtles being weapons for alien invaders (specifically the utroms. Theyre the cause for the turtles mutation) to use for the invasion of earth, but that doesnt go well cuz the turtles are too whimsy and joyous and dont have a single bad bone in their body. Well except for donnie maybe

I want to write again too!! I will probably start sometime soon…it’s just a lot of brainpower that’s hard to come by when you’re going through it mentally. It warms my heart to know that there’s people out there enjoying the pieces of work that I post for my own musings lol. This is all the more encouraging for me to work through it though. I’m so grateful for this community 💜

RE:BOOTING

The problem with being a mad scientist, John surmises, is being very aware of his madness.

There had been a few moments of all out delusion, spawned mostly of sleep deprived nights and the long term effects they bring. But throughout his career helping this military world, he had always been very aware of the line he toed.

More accurately, aware of his own actions and how they kicked any idea of morality off the shelf.

Oh he couldn't help it, John Mactavish had always been passionate, and eager, and maybe a bit uncanny in his desire for creation.

After all that's what he did for a living, Create.

It started with sketches, cartoon scribbles as the world fell to pieces behind a little boy.

Then small parts of building kids in sweaty teenage palms, building something just as the world did.

Then the military started using androids, Replacants, some looked human, mass produced for the population for everyday needs. Some prehistoric bolts and scrap metal stayed in houses or with children. But those high end beings, gifted to look like peoples lost loved ones, transferring consciousness to faux human forms.

John was obsessed, so when they opened their doors for engineers, chemists and robot specialists of all kinds to join- to help. He ran to the nearest outpost and signed up

He'd worked on everything throughout the years, robots that knew nothing but carrying bombs from location to location, Replicents of soldiers whose original bodies had decayed and grown useless to the military. Even androids with their own original personalities. He'd lived in sheds disguised as dorms, he'd slept in glamorous R&D departments, he'd even crashed in a superior's car.

Then Captain John Price stormed into his lab, his ‘office’. Hard earned with years of climbing ranks until he became an engineer worthy of the SAS, a mess of parts and papers and coffee, safety goggles on his head despite the whirling bandsaw he stood in front of.

Task force 141 was in the making, he told him. Kyle ‘Gaz’ Garrick was an android, who'd loved life as a civilian before the family that bought him passed, Kate Laswell, their overwatch and trusted friend, and price himself. but there was one problem.

They called him Ghost, a revitalized Replicant, a robotic body as close as they get to what he looked like when they found him, dying in Texas just past the Mexican border. The body was damaged, chassis cracked and wires tangled.

Price told him of Simon Riley, the man he'd been before. How good of a soldier, how good a friend.

A special task force was just the thing to give him authorization to bring him back, the last piece of the puzzle, they needed a man to do it.

Pretty much, Androids are human like artificial beings with their own personalities. Replicents are an android body with a human consciousness, and Robots are just brainless task things.

Part Two

Whooo okay, the brainrot decided I wanted to make a shitty sifi au for task force 141. Im keeping world building pretty blurry so I dont end up tripping myself up and creating a world that doesnt make sense.

I did all this shoddy writing so I can actually get to explaining the anomaly that is Ghost and how Soap fixes him and ties the team together.

Honestly, you can blame my ultrakill interest for making this, especially with what im about to write about Ghost.

Part four! The Space Case Au!!

To be in space you need a crew to run the ship, so this forced me to think of my characters (mostly Jay & Avery) in a whole new context. What jobs could they have that felt right? What DIDNT fit and what does that say about them as people?

Jay is very charismatic, self assured and quick whited. She can probably talk her way out of bad situations. She’ll be the crews negotiator!

Avery is the mom friend, that was her whole thing but what job fits that? She would make a good leader (someone to /avoid/ bad situations) she can be the pilot! Throw mechanic in there she needs to be able to keep her ship running

Rorry was the easiest to figure out, just translate his backstory to fit into sifi and we’re set! Instead of ‘lost in the woods’ he was abducted by aliens! And instead of Deer Mom being a cryptid I’ll make her a Sentient Planet!!! Cus that concept goes so insanely hard. His job on the ship is his epic survival skills, judge of character and he’ll fight or shoot anything you point him at. Also he’s still magic 

With the crew finally feeling more balanced story ideas and questions went /crazy/ music definitely helped push it along- I’ve got a 20 song playlist just for Space Case, the animations I’ve got in my head are nuts! I’ve got one that’s /six songs long/ HOW THE HELL CAN I DRAW THAT??? I struggle with comics longer than THREE PAGES!!! I would need a fuckin TEAM to pull of all the shit I’ve got swirling around in my head

Because of the sheer AMOUNT of ideas I have I actually haven’t drawn most of them like I have a TEN PAGE action scene all planned out but I haven’t touched it in a while. Here’s my teny-tiny outline if you can decipher them

I have backstory’s for Jay and Avery, first meeting’s, romance, the girls stumbling around getting used to Rorry and him getting used to people again, crimes, misunderstandings, jail breaks and Deer Mom shenanigans all bouncing around in my head but I’ve only drawn Jay & Avery finding Rorry

I’m hoping to /write/ what I can’t draw but I have no experience writing

Her name used to be Jackson! I just wanted a punk cool girl. She’s changed the most I’d say

I accidentally fussed her with another character who was ACTUALLY named Jay- she was a witch I think? But I made this comic

And they look the same plus I don’t remember who the hell the original ‘Jay’ was so when I was redesigning Jackson the name Jay stuck (note I had NO IDEA I had old comics with Jay & Rorry so this was Fate)

AVERY!!

I just needed to give Rorry a friend for this comic idea I had- her story was she and Rorry both DIED in a car crash but Rorrys fuckin magic so he was fine, bro was so upset that Avery was hurt he ended up dragging her body into the woods and screaming for his demon parents to come and make her better. They did and she got spider powers from it

Which brings us to!

RORRYS PARENTS!!! That’s right he had TWO whole parents!!!

Both were vague demon things that lived in the woods and adopted Rorry for some reason- I was never that attached to them they just looked cool and made good plot devices

Ingo falls out of the sky, and wakes up in Hisui with no memories, and nothing to him but his name and clothes.

But Hisui is not the far past, rather, the distant future. Not the ancient name of a region, but the name of a collection of space stations as humans begin to venture off-planet.

Then Dawn comes to Hisui the same way he did. In the presence of another from his time period slowly but surely Ingo's memories return to him, until he realizes where he is and what that means.

After Ingo's disappearance Emmet has been frantic, chasing down any hint of Ingo's whereabouts. Getting more desperate and grasping for longer shots as those who were searching with him give up. Most recently this has taken the form of psychics and fortune tellers, much to Elsea's dismay. Warented dismay he will admit, given that the only ones who have been able to tell him anything have turned out to be shams, but Emmet is not ready to give up yet. He needs his brother back.

Then he asks a pair of sisters who tell fortunes in an ally. When the first one fails, only able to tell him that Ingo is no longer amongst them when asked to find his brother, the second one suggests a differnt technique. If no-one can find where Ingo is now, she will attempt to read Emmett's future and tell him how his twin will be.

The instant she tries, the psychic energy built up around Emmet from the failed readings laches on to the request and practically explodes. It saturates the air around them into a full-blown illusion, and they get to watch as Ingo breakdown as he realizes he is stuck in the future with no way back, and his twin has been dead for centuries.

Emmet sets off to make sure that his name is so deeply carved in the history books that it will never be forgotten, that he can leave a message for his brother that will reach him through time. (And, of course, to find a way to pass those hundreds of years himself, and get his brother back again.)

16. What’s an AU you would love to read (or have read and loved)?

Ooooo this is a tough one. It's tough to think of an AU that I'd love to read mostly because if there's one I'd love to read I'll just write it haha! But I think one I'd love to read is a Neil and Nathaniel being separate people fic. I just think it would be super interesting and I haven't really ready any with that concept, so if you have any recs pls send them my way!

As far as an AU that I have read and loved, I can't rec 'Learning to be Human' by coritkyo enough. It's a sifi android AU and it's genuinely just perfection to me. The characterization is INCREDIBLE, the plot has me so hooked and the interactions between the characters is so so good, not to mention the world building. Everyone seriously need to read it, which you can right here on AO3!!!

Ooooh, what does Zuko act/seem like when he's hacked? Is Zuko trapped in his own mind just screaming or is he like,,,totally brainwashed in he thinks this is what he wants. Is iron with him? How's that go?

So everyone is human, but it’s set far enough in the future that people can receive upgrades or other such. Except the Fire Nation figured out how to do things to how people’s minds work, (or the equivalent of Ba Sing Se did and they managed to get a hold of a handful of them) and after Zuko tried to speak up against him, Ozai used it on him. It makes him ruthless and cold towards everyone.

Except Sokka is too smart for his own good and accidentally hacks into the system when Zuko is near and trying to get Aang.

Sokka doesn’t know what he’s look at at first. He thinks it’s weird that there’s all these lines that are basically propaganda to serve the Fire Nation and that they’d probably make it less obvious until he finds what is essentially a part that states who these directives are for.

And it’s Zuko.

It’s a lot of “Serve the Fire Nation” “Capture the Avatar” “Show no mercy” and other creepy stuff. So he starts trying to figure out how to safely delete such things from the system.

Thanks for the ask, anon!! This is pseudo-canon for this au, because I’m not quite sure what’s going to happen long term, but this was a fun idea to explore.

Lambert doesn’t like to think about dying. Sure, he doesn’t exactly remember his death— he asked Lovelace, and she didn’t either, but the point still stands. He was dead, and then he wasn’t, and these events happened in a very long chain that ended up leading him here, facing off against Cutter?? Who was mind-controlling his friends?? Because the aliens didn’t understand music??

Backtrack. One thing at a time.

Doug Eiffel was stupid. Lambert knew it, Lovelace knew it, Minkowski knew it— there’s a reason he’s been doing the communications officer duties for a while now. So, when Eiffel had the hairbrained idea to charge headfirst into Wolf 359, it wasn’t really a surprise that he didn’t run the idea by literally anyone else.

They looked for him. They scanned deep space, as far as their radars went, and nothing turned up. Then, they got a little sidetracked, because holy shit, Mr. Cutter was there. Lambert didn’t like to swear, but the situation definitely called for it. Suddenly, their problems changed completely, because of course Mr. Cutter had mind control, because what part of his life wasn’t out of a terrible sifi anyways?

But. But. Maybe dying has its use. Lambert and Lovelace— the machines used to mind control didn’t work on them, and goddamn if they weren’t going to use that to their advantage. They gave Eiffel their blood, and wow did Lambert hate that their entire plan hinged on him, but Eiffel had proven himself once or twice before, and it was all he could do to hope this would be yet another time when his rare competent side shone through.

That’s where he was, now. Waiting for... anything. Lovelace is working at the doors, Lambert is trying to talk with Hera, because she is a good help, and she is a good friend, and despite what Lovelace says Hera is smarter then Pryce will ever give her credit for.

For now, though? Now, they wait.
