Global Learning, Sustainable Impact: The Short-Term Study Abroad Advantage
The world faces urgent challenges: climate change reshapes landscapes, social divides widen, and global health issues press with newfound urgency. In this complex landscape, can a Study Abroad Program truly make a difference? Absolutely. Gone are the days of postcard-perfect study abroad experiences focused on language acquisition and cultural immersion. Today’s students crave a deeper understanding of the world, a chance to confront the complexities that bind us across borders. The world thirsts for solutions, and our students hold the potential to become changemakers.
Study abroad programs offer a powerful blend of academic rigor and experiential learning, all within a compressed timeframe. But how can these programs effectively integrate the pressing issues of climate change, social justice, and global health, ensuring students not only gain awareness but also become agents of change, armed with empathy, critical thinking, and a thirst for action?

Understanding Sustainable Development: Beyond Rhetoric
Sustainable development is a paradigm shift that encapsulates the delicate balance between economic growth, social equity, and environmental stewardship. The urgency of integrating this concept into study abroad curricula lie in its ability to shape the mindset of future leaders. Rather than being an abstract concept confined merely to environment-related courses, sustainable development should permeate various disciplines, from business to the humanities to STEM.
Integrating Sustainable Development Studies into the Study Abroad Curriculum
So, how do we weave these critical themes into the curriculum of study abroad programs? Here are some guiding threads:
Theme Integration Across Disciplines: Break down academic silos and embrace a holistic approach. Rather than confining sustainable development to environmental science courses, consider incorporating it into disciplines like business, humanities, or STEM. The idea is to let the students see the interconnectedness of global challenges. Imagine a program in rural India where students explore the water crisis through the lens of engineering, or a program where business students learn sustainability practices and the social enterprise landscape in South Korea. This multifaceted approach fosters a deeper understanding and equips students to tackle complex problems from multiple angles.
Immersive Experiences with Local Communities: Let the classroom be the world. Take advantage of the immersive nature of study abroad programs by facilitating meaningful interactions with local communities. Service-learning projects that address specific sustainability challenges faced by the host community can be incorporated into the curriculum. Whether it’s contributing to a local environmental initiative, participating in a social justice project, or collaborating on a healthcare outreach program, these hands-on experiences deepen students’ understanding of global challenges and foster a sense of responsibility.
Local Partnerships: It is crucial to collaborate with a strategically chosen study abroad partner, which ensures connections to organizations and communities engaged in genuine efforts and ensures their work aligns seamlessly with the program curriculum. These partnerships provide invaluable insights, access to authentic experiences, and opportunities for meaningful engagement. This collaboration fosters cultural exchange, builds bridges of understanding, and creates lasting impact.
Educational Programs: https://authentica.com/disciplines/short-term-educational-programs/
Interdisciplinary Workshops and Seminars: Facilitating interdisciplinary workshops and seminars to encourage collaboration among students from different academic backgrounds creates a space for diverse perspectives and a holistic understanding of global challenges. For instance, a seminar series can be organized where environmental scientists, business experts, and social scientists can collectively explore the interconnectedness of sustainable development. Encouraging open dialogue and critical thinking can spark innovative solutions to real-world issues.
Culminating Action Projects: Exploring sustainability-related issues becomes more impactful when students are encouraged not to merely observe but to actively address these challenges by suggesting or creating solutions or their prototypes. This hands-on approach equips them with the skills and mindset needed to contribute meaningfully to addressing real-world sustainability challenges.
Creating a Legacy of Positive Change Through Study Abroad
Weaving sustainability and global challenges into study abroad programs is not just about adding another layer to the curriculum; it’s about transforming the entire experience. It’s about equipping students with the knowledge, skills, and empathy to become global citizens, ready to tackle the world’s most pressing issues. By embracing interdisciplinary learning, experiential engagement, local partnerships, and action-oriented projects, we can create programs that are not just intellectually stimulating but also deeply transformative.

When Are You Coming Home - Choi Seungcheol
Inspired by: Home - Catie Turner
Synopsis: You met Seungcheol while you were studying abroad in Seoul. It was a meeting by fate. Now, he was watching you live your life on the other side of the world. Would he ever get to see you again? Would he ever get to confess how he feels?
Pairing: Idol! Choi Seungcheol x reader
Genre: Fluff, slight angst
Word Count: 2.6k
——————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————
It was 8:44pm Seungcheol sighed as he watched his members Weverse posts. It's been killing him that he hasn't been able to join the group, as he was still recovering from ACL surgery a few months ago. He was starting to regain his strength which was making him feel more like himself. The problem was that the company wasn't fully confident he was ready to give it his all, so they were proceeding on the side of caution.
The boys had just wrapped up their dome concerts in Japan. Truly, those concerts were some of Cheol's favorites. He loved them not just for the carats that always showed up in massive numbers for them. Those concerts were more a testament to how far they've come as a group. He was proud of not only himself but his 12 members, his brothers, who have overcome doubt from the industry. They truly were the biggest name in K-pop at the moment.
That's why it pained him not to be there with him, not being a part of the schedules and activities. He was able to attend some events in person, like Inkigayo or Music Bank. He was able to attend backstage, but his true place was right on that stage beside everyone.
He pushed himself hard through his recovery, hoping to bounce back sooner rather than later. His doctors urged him to take it easy and to consider his long-term health rather than getting immediate results.
Truly, the toughest part of this whole recovery period was not having you beside him. You were attending graduate school in the United States, working towards your masters degree in education. He thought that maybe if he got healthier and stronger sooner, not only could he rejoin his group but he could actually come out to visit you in the States.
You were his best friend. You met at the same bar in Seoul when you were visiting during your study abroad trip. He was out with friends, celebrating the end of a hectic schedule. You were with friends from the program, eager to experience what nightlife was like in Korea after seeing one too many TikToks. Seungcheol never knew that someone could mean that much to him in such a short amount of time.
You were only going to be in Seoul from January until early May. He made it his mission to see you as much as possible. You two used to spend every day together, at least until comeback season came around for FML. Leading up to the anticipated album release, you would wait for him, excited, with a bottle of water to keep him hydrated. His favorite memory was when you got to watch him during Caratland, when he got to have the time of his life with his fans and his members. The reason why he kept grinning as hard as he did was because he knew you were waiting for him backstage.
Unfortunately, time seemed to slip away too quickly for Seungcheol's liking. During your last week in Seoul, he was asked to be at every meeting, every promotion, and everywhere but with you. He was lucky he got to see you the night before your flight, but it still tore him up inside that he couldn't even take you to the airport because he had to be at a dress rehearsal.
In that short amount of time, Seungcheol fell hard for you. You intrigued him in ways he never thought someone could. You brought a level of normalcy into his life that he didn't know he was missing. You were there to help him calm down after a tough dance practice. You often would cook dishes from your hometown, to give him an insight into where you come from. He wanted to know more about your world.
Why did he wait so long to confess to you? Now, seeing as you are more than 6,600 miles away from him, he regretted it every day. Sure, he could easily tell you over the phone or slide in your DMs, but you deserved better than that in his eyes.
Before his injury, he had hoped to come visit you right before the school year started. He got to experience the United States last summer with his members when they were on the Be The Sun tour. This time though, he wanted to experience what America was like with you. He wanted to do all the cliche romantic things like drive-ins, going to diners, and baseball games. He wanted to create memories with you, to be with you. He wanted you to be his.
The two of you still maintained contact. You would have FaceTime calls when you got the chance, would send postcards and little gifts to one another, and would cheer each other one from afar. Whether it was you waking up at 4:30am to catch a live concert or if he was reading one of your research papers - you were a united force.
He was hoping he would have been able to called you tonight, but you had told him that you had gotten busy with final assignments. While he hasn't been in school for a while, he knows how important school is for you. He didn't want to come across as overbearing, so he just waited patiently. He would watch your stories on Instagram and Snapchat, seeing you at a coffee shop or out with friends. He wanted so badly to be there with you.
He was scrolling through social media. It brought a smile to his face to see you had gone home for Thanksgiving, a holiday he was able to recognize easily as it was similar to Chuseok. There was a photo of you in a white turtle neck. Your hair was down in natural curls with light makeup on. He could see the mole that is planted on the right side of your face, close to your jawline. You were breathtaking. You were sitting beside your mom, someone who almost was an exact copy of you. There is no denying you two are related.
He knew family was important to you, so getting to spend time with your parents meant the world to you. He wondered if he was of the same importance to you, or if he could eventually get to that spot.
He looked through the other photos you posted. Some were with friends who still lived in your hometown. He tried his best to remember their names without looking at their Instagram handles. He remembers you mentioned them quite a few times. You were an only child, so you had a tendency to consider your friends part of your family too. He saw other photos of your hometown, wondering if he would ever get the opportunity to visit it up close.
What he took away the most from your post was how happy you looked. In all the photos, you were smiling wide to the point your eyes were hidden. Seungcheol remembers the few times you guys took photos together. You hated the way you looked, but he was obsessed with you. He never met someone who just naturally glowed. You were his own little disco ball, full of energy and wonder. He couldn't help but claim responsibility for making you that happy in those moments.
Seungcheol often wondered if you were happy back home. When he wasn't able to be there physically, he often wondered if you were happy. At least when you were here in Seoul, living in the same city, he could better fix whatever may be troubling you. He hated feeling helpless when you were upset. Especially now, it was more difficult than ever for him to just jump on a plane to you.
A knock at the door interrupted his deep thought. He raised an eyebrow, trying to go through who it could possibly be. All the boys were just now flying back from Tokyo. Could it be someone from the company? Why didn't they just call?
Thankfully, Seungcheol had reached the point of his recovery where he wasn't dependent on crutches. He could move freely. It might've been slow movements at times, but it was still moving at his own regard without the dependency of other people.
He made his way over carefully, not wanting to accidentally trip or bump into something. He was not about to jeopardize a setback when he was so close to getting back to where he was a few months ago.
Once he got to the door, he twisted the silver lock and undid the bolt. Making sure he had enough room, he stepped back to allow the door to swing open without it hitting his knee. He was just a more cautious guy until he got the green light to get back on stage. Seungcheol had his gaze to the door, watching it open so if he had to move, he could do so without straining himself.
"Are you crazy?" A voice shouted at him.
His eyes widened at the abrupt voice before looking up. There was no way.
There you stood. You had a pink backpack on your shoulders. Your hair was pulled into a loose ponytail held back by a silk white scrunchie. You had on a red hoodie with black leggings, and tennis shoes hugging your feet. "Y/n? What are you doing here?" "Would you like to tell me why Jeonghan called me saying you were overworking yourself? Do I need to remind you that you just had knee surgery about two months ago?"
You slipped the straps of your backpack off your shoulders. Seungcheol watched as you stepped towards his apartment, setting your backpack down by the threshold of the door. Your arms soon wrapped around Seungcheol, gently hugging him. His arms wrapped around you slowly, being in a bit of a shock of you actually being here in front of him.
"You have to take care of yourself, Cheol. Especially when I'm not here to help you," you whispered. You had tucked your head into his neck. He was able to get a smell of your shampoo, instantly settling his racing heart. God, he missed your scent. He squeezed you gently, almost as if he needed confirmation that this was reality and not some false, cruel illusion.
"I didn't mean to scare you, sweetheart. There was no need for you to fly all the way out here. What about your family? Your final assignments?" "You are a part of my life, Cheol. I had to be here. And my assignments can wait. Now, come on, old man. Let's get you back to the couch."
Coming from the guys, if they teased about his age, he would have been annoyed. Coming from you though was a sense of endearment.
Seungcheol followed your lead back to his couch. He got himself situated where he could rest with his leg up on the couch, alleviating some of the discomfort he felt from walking. He had his moments of weakness, but he wasn't sure if it was weakness from still recovering or from being in front of you for the first time in over 6 months.
Once he was situated on the couch, he saw you sitting on the opposite side of the couch. Your eyes were on him though. It was a sight that brought a smile to his face, a genuine smile for the first time probably since the surgery.
"So are you really just here because Jeonghan called?" "Well yes and no. Yes because I wanted to make sure you were ok. I know we FaceTime and you keep me updated as much as possible, but I just had to see for myself that you were ok."
He took note of the light blush on her cheeks. So she has been thinking of me? She's been worried about me? Cute. His ego was rising just at the sheer idea of you being into him, even in the slightest.
"No because I was planing to come visit you for the holidays. I get a month off of my studies, and realized that if I was spending Thanksgiving with my family, I want to spend it with you."
Well damn. He never would have predicted this.
"So you like me or something?" Seungcheol teased you.
This time, your cheeks turned a deeper red. It was then his eyes widened again. "Oh," he said silently. There was no need to further interrogate you on the matter.
Seungcheol eaned forward to gently grasp your wrist. You looked at him, an eyebrow raised. He gently tugged you towards him. You looked hesitant as if you were going to be hurting him. He offered you a reassuring smile. You began guiding herself closer to him until he situated you in between his left side and the back of the couch. He wrapped an arm around your waist, keeping you close to him.
"Something tells me Jeonghan just didn't call because of my recovery," Cheol chuckled lightly under his breath.
Man, was Seungcheol lucky to have a best friend like Jeonghan. He owed him. Big time. You looked up at Seungcheol, a gentle smile on your lips but your eyebrow raised. Do she even know how cute she is?
"Since you left, y/n, I've been miserable. The few months you were here were just magical. It was like I was getting a chance to star in my own romance movie. Life hasn't been the same without you here." "And it doesn't help that we haven't really been able to visit each other, right?"
His smile grew slightly. He lowered his head so his face was hovering just above yours. If only he had gotten the courage to do this a few months ago then the last couple of months wouldn't have been full of torment.
"Because I didn't tell you how I felt about you before you left. Y/n, I really like you. I wanted to tell you so badly, but I held back. I need you in my life not just as a friend."
Hearing him, you could have thought you weren't actually in his apartment or in Seoul, for that matter. You were convinced you were asleep in your own apartment, having the best dream but about to wake up to a cruel reality. You moved your left arm over his torso, left hand extended to cup his face. Touching his skin, feeling the light stubble underneath your fingertips confirmed that this was reality.
"Jeonghan called because you liked me? And that you've been struggling since I've been gone?" You whispered. "Seems like Jeonghan took it upon himself to play cupid," Seungcheol laughed lightly, biting his lip though to try not to speak too loudly.
It was as if he spoke too loudly, he himself would wake up. But much like you had to, he needed a confirmation that this wasn't just a dream.
He guided his lips down towards yours but hovered over them. He was afraid of moving too quickly. It was a common thee in his life at the present moment. "Say the word, y/n, and I'll make both of our dreams come true."
All you could bring yourself to do was nod. However, Seungcheol needed more. He needed to know that you fully wanted this to happen as much as you did. The words were just trapped in your throat because you couldn't believe that you had flown all the way to Korea for the man of your dreams for him not just to be in your dreams. He was real. He was laying beside you, staring and waiting for your own greenlight.
"Yes, Cheol. Please. It's all I've been waiting for."
There it is. The green light. "Me too, princess," he whispered. He soon leaned I all the way, allowing his lips to press against yours without hesitation or worry. It was a kiss that sealed our destiny, your fate to be together without further interruptions or obstacles.
You were all his, and he was all yours. Officially.

Kirishima's Mystique Party 2
Titanic Duo
Never let it be said that Ms.Midnight didn’t go out of her way to look out for and take care of her students, after all part of why she got into teaching was to ensure they got to enjoy the best years of their youth. It just so happened that being rated R heroine was, in her mind nothing embodied the peak of youthful energy than to indulge in their deep primal lust and desires to get through those awkward hormonal urges so it didn’t interfere with their hero studies. Now call it Unorthodox as it certainly was but it couldn’t be denied that it could be effective. Plus nothing made for strong bonds between men and women than the intimacy of casual sexual relations and if one wanted proof?
Well she would simply and happily point out Kirishima and his relationship with Mina and Maya as a prime example, after all a guy with two girlfriends? Both of which loved having him sleep with other women to boot was all the erotic heroine needed to show her methods worked which was likely why Kirishima was her go to guy in a manner of speaking for a little thing she called her S-exchange student program. Wherein any hero students visiting from abroad or vice versa did so with the intent of hooking up for a couple of rounds of adult twister and horizontal tango for the sake of “diplomatic relations”. Which was why our resident himbo currently found himself playing chaperone and escort for a pair of exotic pretty things from Jump City, USA by the names of Raven and Starfire.
To say they were knockouts or bombshells was an understatement, if Mina and Maya were his candy/bubblegum duo, these 2 could be just about called Sunshine and Nightlight. Starfire was a perky orange skinned redhead with the most bright emerald green eyes and a personality that could be only on par with the energy and playfulness of a kitty cat. Whereas Raven on the other hand was an ash skinned, violet haired goth wet dream made reality, violet eyes cool yet hiding much passion and energy beneath. A perky bimbo-like sweetheart and a broody zombie girl, what guy wouldn't be popping a boner or a straight girl questoning her own sexuality right now?
Star of course was more than eager to want see the sights Japan had to offer while Raven was content to seemingly just go along with the flow, to which Kirishima as their escort and chaperone did his level best to oblige of course. But part of him had to be on guard and wait for the other shoe to drop, after all these two came here on Midnight's S-exchange program. Hell Mina and Maya were sending him regular updates of their own chaperone runs with the pink and blue hotties "entertaining" Maya's two besties from Jagua del Toro in Mona and Jessie via some very saucy pictures and videos. The body language coming off of Star and Raven certainly wasn't helping in the struggle with his raging rising libido either.
Oh yes indeed in addition to those amazing puberty blessed bodies of theirs which put models and porn stars alike to shame, their choice in casual wear seemed intent on making him pitch a tent. From Star's simple violet tanktop which struggled to contain her bodacious bouncing bosom to those tight blue denim jeans which hugged her toned legs and well toned bubbly ass so tight that they might as well seem painted on. And ooh hers was an ass that wouldn't quit not that raven wasn't a slouch in that department either, especially as she also happened to be a living definition of the term big titty goth girl. For someone so cool and stoic that she could seem like a frigid ice queen, her black denim short-shorts, mesh thigh-high stockings and fishnet tanktop and onyx sports bra really showed off a lot of that slate grey skin of hers and to say nothing of how she and Star could give Mina a challenge with their own quite healthy, thick thighs.
But so far, so good at the least, it was all just seeming to go well until the chivalrous himbo realised their recent train ride took them right into the Kabukicho district in Shinjuku....which was Ms.Midnight's turf and ooh lo and behold what should he see coming up but the rated R heroine's love hotel!! Not having anytime to try and comprehend what was going on, of course, as he found Star giggling as she forcefully yet playfully began pushing him to go along inside, backed by her quirk's flight and strength as well as a little boost from Raven's telekinesis. The trio soon inside the elevator after the latter confirmed a reservation check-in made under their name by Midnight and provided their room number and key card, this was when Eijiro found the shoe had dropped already before he could even see it coming. The overwhelming continuing as Star in the middle of the long elevator ride to the deluxe suite suddenly leapt into his arms, abushing him with a hug before she suddenly planted her lips on his with a deep, sloppy and passionate kiss while Raven watched on idly, albeit with a small blush on her cool face as she sensually bit her lower lip.
It wasn't long before of course the stoic gothic babe found Star pulling in towards them, raven rolling her eyes playfully at her friend's usual boundless enthusiasm and need to share the passion. The make-out becoming a three way sloppy dance of tongues as they kissed, feeling up Kirishima's muscles under his shirt while encouraging his hands to explore and grope their bodies, which truly put porn stars to shame and envy with the combination of natural tones, thickness and curves. Making sure he got a nice handful of their tits and ass while they caressed his groin, feeling the crotch of his pants forming a swelling bulge, it was no small wonder soon as the elevator finally arrived, they wasted no time getting to their room and stripping naked soon as the door closed. Kirishima now finding himself facing the sunshine and goth babes in all their nude glory as they themselves were more than liking what they saw of him, especially with raging hard cock of his.
The duo proceeded to entice their chaperone further into his most base instincts and desires as they knelt side by side on the queen sized bed, presenting their glorious bubbly asses like the bitches in heat they were. Giving those glorious cheeks a shake as they made them twerk and clap like thunder, the meaty buns jiggling like jelly as he caught glimpses of their wet slits as if they called him with a hidden siren song to mount these bodacious bombshells and fuck them like he wanted to put his babies into them. It was no wonder he felt like his body was moving on autopilot as he found himself squatting down behind Raven and Star as he shifted between fingering one of them and eating out the other, coaxing deep throated moans of desire from them. Especially when they felt his shark like teeth nibbling at them or even found that quite skilled tongue of his rimming their donut holes, small wonder he was more than experienced and used to pleasing two women at once.
But of course the contrasting duo wanted to gladly return the favour to their sturdy himbo guide as after having had an orgasm or few between them, they had Kirishima sitting on the edge of the bed and proceeded to perform a tag team tandem fellatio. Kissing and licking his length and girth with a sloppy blowjob as not even his balls were left untouched in their oral assault, taking turns sucking and blowing on that immense slab of meat as pink hearts lust began to form and glow in their exotic eyes. Indicating that their baser instincts and desires were taking over, further driving them into being little more than bitches in heat. Pussies dribbling juices down to growing puddles on the floor as their wombs yearned to have that Lil' Riot of his fuck them so hard that they'd feel like their guts were being rearranged.
But of course there was no rush for the duo and Kirishima knew it, intent on making this encounter a memorable experience for the visiting gaijin students that they would never forget as he stood on the bed, a seated Raven’s head held in his grasp as he facefucked her while star ate her out. Before giving the perky catlike redhead a deep, hard fast fuck doggy style as her gothic friend hugged him behind and made out with him as the trio became a tangle of limbs shifting and switching between positions and a variety of two on one to one on one. Filling the hotel room with their cries of lust and the primal pornographic sounds of heavy skin slapping sex with little to no signs of stopping for a good while, going at it with a pace and intensity that'd put porn stars to shame as much if not more so than their bodies.
From doing one girl from behind or in missionary as she ate out the other to having one sit on his face so he could lick away at their snatch as the other bounced on him cowgirl style as they had a lesbian make out session. To having one of them in a mating press or whatever one on one position came to mind as the other girl recovered to the moody goth and sunshine girl keeping him in the mood with their slutty mouths and asses or giving him a little girl on girl show, the action was relentless. Especially whenever their quirks were used to enhance and spice up the proceedings, orgasm after orgasm marking the passage of time as seconds went into minutes and hours. Until finally as the sun was setting, the trio laid there in the messy, sweat and juice soaked bed sheets as the warmth of their afterglow and their erotic exhaustion had finally caught up to them with Raven and Star snuggling up on either side of their burly chaperone.
You think this was intense of course, just wait until the next day when Kirishima would come over with them to check up on Mina and Maya with their escorts. Because of course they were going to want details, not to mention get to know the pair personally and intimately. I was an absolute must with any and every girl that got wild and sexy with their Red Riot Alpha male of course. Just the fun of Midnight's S-exchange program a chance to meet new people...and have such naughty fun with them.
For those of you wondering of course, yes there were plenty of others enjoying Midnight's little program but you really expect me to cover all that? And no Bakugo and Mineta were not involved, I mean you really think I'm giving either of them a piece of that action? I'm sure there are plenty of writers or artists who'd satisfy your sadomasochistic thirst for that you sickos!! This writer sure as hell ain't one of them!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Succubus
There is a saying about the best laid plans of mice and men and for Eijiro Kirishima, codename Red Riot, unfortunately that tended to be a fact of life in the pro hero life he was all too aware of. Ever since that day that hand covered killing touch psycho came into the USJ with an army of villains and a genetic freakshow made to kill All Might, it seemed a struggle just to have a normal highschool life. Even after that, the fact remained such as his current assignment with the Fatgum Agency, having been tasked to go undercover to take down a criminal group who had been stealing money from the banks across Japan to fund and pay for his secret underground fight ring. It was simple enough, go in with a disguise as a random contestant, find some evidence and boom, the sting operation commenced to bring the bastards down!!
That had all seemed eeasy enough but just his luck, seems first timers had the pleasure of their debut being to go up against the champion of this fight club, a young girl in his age group by the name of Karura Kure. Now he didn't know much of anything about Karura herself personally but her last name, well that was a different story entirely. You didn't get into the world of combat sports, underground fights or the field of mercenaries and assassins and not hear or know of the infamous, notorious Kure clan. Whose nature was such that they were just as willing and able to be hired to kill a target who just happened to have hired them previously, mercs, go figure.
But be that as it may, he knew he couldn’t back down at this point, besides which Even a quirk as basic as his was would be ideal in this sort of environment. And yet somehow in spite of all, to the shock and amazement of the crowd in attendance, he’d won but something told him that meant trouble and with good reason mind you. In spite of her defeat, Karura had quite the smile on her face as she now wanted the undercover hero and she wanted him, bad!! You see in Karura’s family, the males were encouraged to breed with women who came from strong families while the females sought out the strongest men whose genes would ensure potential and the secret Red Riot made her womb yearn for a bun in the oven.
Before she could see about approaching him for a little post fight intimacy, that was when the agency made its move and began the raid crack down on the fight club. Karura, seeing her services with her client were about to come to their logical end, made her move as she grabbed and began to pull Kirishima away with her to a hidden exit, offering to help him escape. Now of course he didn't want to but he had to keep his cover so course he had no choice but to go along with it. It wasn’t long after navigating the maze like passage ways that Kirishima found himself the infamous succubus of the Kure in a win form the warehouse the fight club had set up shop, all,done up to resemble something like the luxury rooms of Midnight’s love hotel.
He had a sinking sterling she had more than an ulterior motive for being him here, which was only proven right as he turned around to find Karura had stripped naked. The Succubus’ distinct eyes twinkling with wanton need and delight and a radiant, sensual smile beaming kn her face as she proceeded to pull a classic kabedon on him. Pinning the undercover Red Riot up against a corner of a wall, as he did his best to keep his eyes from wandering and drinking in every glorious detail of her nude from her exquisite tits to her stunning set of abs, she didn’t have a six pack as so much a 12 pack!! Leaning in close to him as she sensually whispered a simple set of words that had been running through her mind the moment she had first laid eyes on him and he had defeated her…..
Karura:”I want your babies…….”*Soon as she had spoken thst, she locked her lips with his, tongue invading his mouth with a sloppy, passionate kiss. Romance and lust alike in her actions as she pushed her toned, honed, well trained naked body up against his, purring and moaning as her tits pressed and rubbed those firm pecs. Hands exploring his muscular form as the heat within her body grew in its need to have this himbo mate and breed with her. Her sensual ambush causing his own primal instincts to kick in as his libido took the helm, hands reaching out to grab and squeeze that glorious ass.*
The Kure Succubus naturally relished and welcomed such an assertion of dominance, her every nerve tingling with skyrocketing arousal and desire at having this fine specimen fuck her with the primal intent of putting a bun in her oven. Every scrap of clothing pried off of him until her exotic eyes finally behind that Herculean physique in all its naked glory, Michelangelo's David had nothing on this beefcake. For Karura of course, there was no need for foreplay or to use mouth and body to work up that fine third leg of his or get her in the mood, their fight alone she felt had been enough of a warm up. Any man that could take her in a fight without prompting her to use removal was a keeper she simply had to have as the father of her future children.
So little to no time was wasted in their making out as they were soon on the bed, making it creak an shake with enough force that it'd be no surprise the damn ting would break sooner or later once they were done with it. The Kure combat prodigy moaning with sensual wanton abandon as she was taken from behind doggy style, grasping and biting the bed sheets. Drooling all the while as Kirishima pumped and jackhammered away with absolute force, lie any true alpha male should when claiming his mate, his body language displaying that he was certainly no slouch, let alone a virgin when it came to sex. That thought of just how many other women her future baby daddy had been with was such a turn-on, as her arms and legs gave out causing her to lay flat on her front as Kirishima now took her in a prone bone position mounting atop her as he fucked her like his life depended on it...which it did, in a sense.
Her ass jiggling with every smack and impact of their loins, the thrilling rhythm and sensation of skin slapping on skin as they filled the room with the sounds of their mating as she relished each and every orgasm. More so whenever he came inside her, not wanting him to pull out since after all, she needed to ensure she'd finish this encounter knowing she'd get knocked up. And oh what a delight to find his stamina and staying power enough to keep up with her, this quirk of his especially helped, just the idea of how strong their children would become with a variation of it on top of the Kure family traditional style and techniques? Won't her clan be proud, hell if grandfather approved, and once he learned her suitor's name, he could become her future husband!!
It was a different sort of battle compared to their close quarters exchange in the fight club ring as the sturdy himbo tussled with the vinous little minx. Using all his experience and knowledge to try and sate the seemingly endless thirst Karura had for him, her desire only magnifying whenever he managed to assert dominance, going from taking her from behind to a mating press. To having to use his quirk to ensure the ferocity and intensity of her riding him cowgirl style as her toned, trained body glistening with sweat. Minutes passing into hours with orgasms after orgasm until finally, the noises had faded into a blissful silence albeit the bed had now been completely trashed.
Karura of course made her escape, after leaving a little kiss on the lips for her sleeping prince and the father of her future children (given how thoroughly they fucked, if she wasn't pregnant? She'd have to find him again and try harder!!), vanishing into the night. Just in time as Kirishima's co-workers barged into the room, having finally found him, wondering what had happened to the poor guy as the amount of bites and scratches from the Kure girl had made it seem like he got into a tussle with a wild animal!! He was thankful that was their assumption and didn't question how or why said tussle had left him naked in a demolished bedroom.
The raid had been finished up after that, just about any and all main suspects rounded up and secured which left the usual post mission reports and paperwork to sort out. Boring stuff but bureaucracy was a necessary evil of course, besides which for Kirishima, it gave him time to recover and keep his mind off of Karura and her...unreal body and her...quite, sensual cute faces she especially made looking like some maiden in love....yeah okay for sure, soon as he got home? Mina and Maya were going to get an all night workout so h could burn off this excess energy, was this why they callled her the Succubus? Pretty fitting epithet all things considered and then some.
As for the Kure prodigy of course, soon as she got home, she had already looked into making some plans to see about another baby making session with her future chosen. Had to be thorough after all and besides which, wouldn't be too hard to find a guy with a scar, red eyes and shark teeth and a quirk like his, right? Especially if she knew what school he went to so she could transfer, after all, the family code made it a must for ehr to secure those fine genes. Pray for Kirishima, maniacs...God have mercy on us all.....
Edgerunner
Some days and nights they say that it was never easy being a hero and for Kirishima? This was proving to be one of those occasions he was finding that fact being proven right, which quite frankly he was still wondering how in the hey he even wound up in this particular situation. One moment he’d be out with some fellow Fatgum agency interns on patrol around the harbour, next thing he knows there was an explosion and gunfire happening all around. So of course they had to try make sense of the situation and contain it before is spread and spiralled out into a complete and total clusterfuck!!
Whatever had been going on or how it had been caused was a mystery but given how some of those shipping crates bite the logo of Arasaka? It had to be some major corporate espionage bullshit, that was for sure, especially when one could make out the ominous presence of the one and only Adam Smasher himself. Arasaka’s resident cybernetic attack dog, the bogeyman of Night City, California himself who they say was more machine than man these days…and had a reputation for taking any job for his bosses so long as he knew how much collateral he could get away with. Given that he had filled entire graveyards on Arasaka’s orders, that especially said a lot so it was imperative whatever the situation was, it had to be minimalists before that walking tank turned this harbour into a slaughterhouse.
Case in point of course being this pint sized shortstack of a cyborg girl who’d been pinned down under heavy fire, and whose collection of weaponry was only matched or exceeded by her potty mouth. Being the chivalrous guy he was, of course he had to help her out and save her, like hell he was going to let her risk becoming the latest name to be added to Smasher’s long, ever growing list of victims. Besides which even people who strong and powerful quirks never actually tried to lick a fight with the guy, it was said to be the only ones who ever did were if you had a suicidal death wish. So amidst the skirmish, he made the call and got her the hell out of there, by the skin of his sharky teeth.
After enough distance to be considered safe and sound with the clusterfuck seeming to die down, no doubt Arasaka deciding to cut their losses and call their killing machine back on his leash, The hero in training ducked into a quiet warehouse and gently placed down the cyber girl atop a crate. Now came the question of what to do with this errant little renegade, who so thoughtfully introduced herself as Rebecca.....after a very lengthy and profanity laden round of insults sent his way of course. For such a half-pint, she certainly had quite the vocabulary on her, a creative one to say the least, some of those words or terms he swore he had never heard before. But once she calmed down enough, she co-operated just a bit to brief him on what exactly the hell had just happened there that got so bad that she almost risked becoming just another casualty in the Adam Smasher.
Just so happens Rebecca was part of a small little misfit gang of mercs known as edgerunners, guns for hire when it came to tasks involving corporate espionage and sabotage among other things of which to name a few. Such individuals almost always tended to be cyborgs, composed of those among the population who were quirkless and/or especially needed a means to get by and survive in today's world and naturally along with omnics lead to a veritable distinct sub culture of gang warfare, hackers and others and Rebecca's crew, among which included her older brother had been in the middle of their latest job. Wasn't anything much, just a simple smash and grab run stealing some fancy tech equipment, turned out their client forgot to mention the competitor they were stealing from had been Arasaka and the security was high level enough that it was no wonder Adam Smasher was involved. But fortunately her crew had made their escape but she'd been too pinned down by heavy fire to make her own exit and so here she was now looking at some likely jail time.
Kirishima:"Look I know you weren't intending anything wrong but from certain viewpoints, you're in plenty enough trouble that I can't just look the other way, you know?"*Doing his best not to blush at the rather cute pout the cyberpunk shortstack was making right baout now at his tough but fair point. Trespassing as well breaking and entering private property, outbreak of sudden violence that could;'ve escalated to riot levels if not literal corporate warfare and that was just off the top of his head. And edge-runners like herself were as frowned upon by the law as much as un-licenced vigilantes, she was going to be looking at quite the few weeks to months if not years behind bars. Especially with the kind of sway and pull Arasaka had, if they so wanted she could be getting life or the death penalty even, harsh as that sounded. Pity really when at her age, she still had some of the best years of her life ahead of her.*
Rebecca:*Still pouting adorably like a scolded puppy or kitten, yeah of course she knew she was fucking screwed, Christ Pilar would never let her hear the end of it. That is if he wasn't panicked after laughing his ass off at the idea of his little sister going up the river, then him and the rest of the crew would likely risk having to break her out, prison could be hell for cyborgs and omics. And this rather prime cut of himbo beef didn't look like someone she could buy off with a bribe of a few Eddies (Euro-Dollars), secretly biting her lip as she eyed those washboard abs of his, serious hunk material. Before the manic little chromed up pixie suddenly had herself an idea....a very awful, wonderful, awfully wonderful, wonderfully awful idea.*"Aww okay....but could I maybe just get one little request before you got to turn me in?"
The sturdy hero nodded, before having an uneasy suspicion about the sudden sensual gaze Rebecca wore for an expression as her hand reached out to his crotch. Proceeding to grope and rub it once she had a good grasp of his length, humming as she clearly liked what she was feeling as she used her free hand to grab his head and pull him down and in for a kiss. Ambushing him with a sudden sloppy make-out as the cyber-merc expressed her last request in the form of wanting this muscle mountain hunk to rock her world, suffice to say Kirishima never had much in the way of saying no to a girl once she pushed his libido's button. In no time at all, clothes went flying and the warehouse began to echo with the sounds of a wild little half-pint pixie cyber babe getting hot, sweaty and primal with an absolute unit plowing her like they were the last two people on Earth.
Now Rebecca wasn't what you'd call a slut by any means but she wasn't some prude virgin either by any stretch of the imagination. Christ the amount of porn pictures and video she had in her personal digital mental space folder would be enough to make even Mineta blush but Kirishima she found was putting any and every porno dude in that collection to shame. Not just in terms of his cock's length and girth but as well his skill as he currently had her pinned up against the wall, naked bodies pressed and rubbing together as he fucked fast, deep and hard. Her stomach bulging from his size and depth which was especially noticeable on her bison skull tattoo as her hair was loose and flowing, her pigtails knocked loose as her face wore an ahegao expression particularly whenever those heavy balls of his smacked her quite bubbly ass.
Rebecca wasn’t sure how much time had been passing at this point but really who could blame her with how amazing she was feeling right now?! The size difference between her and the sturdy himbo especially made it a thrill ride as she went from being folded like an accordion as he held in a mating press to bent over and laid out on a crate as she was taken doggy style and prone bone, her perky little cyber booty jiggling with every impact from Kirishima’s cock plowing her. At this point for the cyber halfpint, it was a competitive streak between the one who’d outlast the other when it came to stamina, a chromed up trigger happy shortstack or a hardening himbo who had quite a trail of experience when it came to women. Suffice to say, it went on for quite a while as that warehouse became a sexual battleground.
Against all odds of course, Rebecca had managed to keep herself conscious enough to be able to move and make her escape though a bit hesitant of course at leaving Kirishima’s warm snuggling arms. Leaving him a little note sealed with a kiss as she disappeared into the night thanking him for a good time, Kirishima a king up to find her gone, the clever girl. Playing on his natural urges like that, ah well wasn’t like he had officially caught her in the act of trouble or anything. That was an edgerunner for you, always living it up to the name and then some.
it’d been a few days to weeks since thst chaotic evening in the harbour before Kirishima was back to his more regular daily routine, having not sen nor heard from Rebecca since then. No doubt she had long since gone back to Night City or was being out somewhere in Japan until then but given she hadn’t appeared on any headlines, she was keeping out of trouble. The Red Riot hero currently on his latest outing with Mina and Maya when his cell buzzed, fishing it out to find a notification for some messages which he checked. Eyes widening and his face blushing at the contents now laid bare on his screen.
Seems Rebecca had managed to find his number and had wasted no time in ambushing him with a series of naughty selfies, plenty of which were sexy, saucy nudes. The cyber minx smiling as she claimed to be showing off some new upgrades she had gotten that she promised would make the next time around she ever saw him again even wilder and thst he can have himself a little fuel for his fantasies. His girlfriends of course looking over his shoulder, grinning like the rolls they were as they no doubt had a lot of questions to ask about who their stud’s latest lady friend was. That is after they finished seeing some more of those pictures of course…then the interrogation would begin…
Nokto 3rd Anniversary Event
A Beast's Dream Realized by Beauty
Premium End
This a fan translation so it is definitely not 100% accurate. I do not own anything related to Ikemen Prince. Support Cybird by buying their amazing stories!
Part 1 | Part 2 | Premium End | Epilogue
Licht was always cheerful and always had a smile on his face.
I was the one who stole Licht’s expression.
At that time, it was difficult to be in the court and I couldn’t stay sane--.
I chose to run away as soon as possible so I didn’t have to look at Licht, who had lost his emotions.
--Past—
Sariel: “A short term, study abroad program in Benitoite?”
Nokto: “Yes. As a prince, learning the basics of business is by no means a bad thing.”
Nokto: “Please, Sariel.”
Sariel: “…I understand. I’ll ask His Majesty the King.”
Sariel: “By the way, are you going alone?”
Nokto: “That’s what I mean to do. I don’t need an attendant.”
Sariel: “…”
When I talked about the short term, study abroad idea, I couldn’t look Sariel in the eye.
At that point, it was like admitting there was something to regret.
Woman: “Prince Nokto, aren’t you enjoying studying abroad?”
Nokto: “What…?”
It was a question that came up suddenly when I came to Benitoite and got used to life.
The couple, who were young at the time, had agreed to take care of him at the request of His Majesty the King of Rhodolite.
They were always concerned about the young prince.
Nokto: “It’s fun. It’s fun to learn things you don’t know.”
Woman: “I hope so… we have never seen you smile.”
Nokto: “…That’s not…”
Woman: “Yes, it is. And not once have you laughed.”
It was a shock.
Unlike Licht, my expression was still alive.
At least, I thought so.
But that was my imagination.
I panicked and peered into a nearby window.
My face reflected was empty.
Man: “Boys around your age laugh like idiots, play around, and act naughty.”
Nokto: “…”
I still can’t forget the pained faces of the couple.
On the day Licht lost his emotion, it seemed I had lost mine as well.
I don’t know where I left it, or if I could even find it…
However, such an excuse is not allowed.
“That day”, I was protected by Licht.
There’s no way I should lose my emotions while being protected.
Licht should not be burdened anymore… I thought so at least.
Nokto: “…Smile, me.”
I stood in front of my mirror and tried to move my facial muscles.
I didn’t know what kind of face I should make. I force myself to move them as if they were clearing up the sins I had been running away from.
Day in and day out, everyday—I practiced and practiced.
Woman: “Prince Nokto, you’ve been smiling recently.”
Nokto: “Sorry for worrying you. Maybe it’s because I’ve finally gotten used to life.”
Thus began the liar’s smile.
--End Past—
Benitoite’s annual antique market was bustling with people, left and right.
It’s good that Emma suggested I help out at the stall that the elderly couple is opening.
Silvio: “What are you doing here?”
(…and here comes trouble.)
I had been preparing myself for the possibility that he might come, but…
When faced with the continent’s richest man, who exemplifies the dreams and aspirations of merchants, one can’t help but sigh.
Nokto: “Can’t you see?”
Silvio: “I’m askin’ because I don’t understand. It’s like you’re a different person.”
Nokto: “A different person?”
Silvio: “I’ve been watchin’ for a while, but you don’t always look like you’re lying when ya laugh.”
Silvio: “It’s the first time I’ve seen you play like a kid, ya fox bastard, and it gives me goosebumps.”
Nokto: “Huh? I’m not playing around that much.”
Silvio: “Should I hold up a mirror for ya? You’re a lot more cheerful that you think you are.”
(…I didn’t know. I guess even I can get carried away sometimes.)
(No, there are a lot of times. Ever since I met Emma I’ve been thrown off kilter.)
Not only Silvio, but even Emma, who is supposed to be on my side, is smiling.
Apparently, I really am in high spirits.
I used to only be able to smile to ‘lie’, but now I’m having fun.
(It’s my first time doing business like this that had nothing to do with public affairs, but I guess I unexpectedly like it.)
(“I want to be a merchant” The beginning of my dream wasn’t a good one.)
--Flashback—
Licht: “Hey, Nokto. Do you think mama will be kinder after you leave the castle?”
Nokto: “I think so, because it’s all the castle’s fault.”
Nokto: “Mama looks sad and we’ve been told lots of things…”
Nokto: “If there’s no more things to torment mama, surely…”
Licht: “…That’s true. Well then, I’ll find out where I want to go from mama.”
Licht: “I want to run away to a place mama likes anyway.”
Nokto: “Then I’ll think of a way to earn money.”
Nokto: “I need money to escape… should I become a merchant?”
Licht: “You’re smart Nokto, so you can definitely become a merchant.”
Nokto: “I guess so… I’ll try. If I make a lot of money, I’ll buy sweets for you, Licht.”
Licht: “Really? It’s a promise!”
--End Flashback—
(I’m sure Licht remembers, too.)
(…It’s an ordinary dream, but for us it was heavy.)
The earnest wish that clings to the dream of becoming a ‘merchant’ is not something that can be said out loud.
(At first, it was still good, but one day ‘ becoming a merchant’ meant ‘escaping from Licht.’)
(I’m a coward.)
(…I’m a shameful coward.)
(I thought so, but I didn’t realize it was ‘fun’…)
Emma: “…The current Nokto doesn’t want to run away, does he?”
The antique market closed with great success and I walked with Emma on the beach dyed in the twilight.
In the end, the antiques prepared by the old couple were sold, and a strange sense of accomplishment was in my heart.
Perhaps it was because of such a feeling that I became light-hearted.
When I told her the other reason for my dream of being a ‘merchant’, Emma hugged me without saying a word.
Emma: “The Nokto I know forgot to take a break because he’s such a hard-working person.”
Emma: “So I don’t think you need to beat yourself up about it now.”
Nokto: “Yeah, I guess so.”
(Even if you blame me, the past won’t change.)
It’s true that he didn’t run away. You don’t need to blame me.
(Thanks to Emma, I learned that ‘wanting to be a merchant’ wasn’t just about ‘wanting to run away.’)
Maybe it’s because I’ve lived my life with my expressions and emotions covered with lies.
Perhaps even the pure interest I had as a child had disappeared.
But over time, I met my true self that Emma had found.
That is terribly heartbreaking.
(The fact that I wasn’t studying abroad just because I wanted to run away is, in a sense, a salvation for me.)
(…Licht is the one who should be saved.)
Nokto: “…”
(The reason I had Emma meet the old Benitoite couple was because I knew I couldn’t hide my cowardice from them.)
(I brought you here because it was just the right opportunity, but actually…)
(…maybe I really just wanted someone to forgive me for my past weakness.)
(No, the more I think about it, the more I hate myself…)
Nokto: “Hey, don’t let me think anything right now.”
Emma: “…okay.”
When I asked her for it, Emma cupped my cheeks in her hands as if she knew everything.
Our lips pressed together feels so good, and once I taste it, I want it endlessly.
I was so absorbed in it, I forgot to breathe.
The more I try, the more the pain fades.
(I’m better now because of Emma.)
(I don’t want to run away, and I want to atone for my sins in my own way.)
(That’s why I’m often overworked.)
There are times when I can’t see it myself that Emma takes care of me and suggests vacations.
Emma: “Are you okay…?”
At the end of the long kiss, Emma’s eyes met mine.
Nokto: “I’m sorry for that.”
(Maybe it wasn’t a pleasant kiss.)
When I stroked her hair with the intention of apologizing, Emma suddenly narrowed her eyes.
Emma: “Nokto, you’re making a face that tells me it’s still not enough.”
Nokto: “Oh, you understand?”
With a deceptive smile, a thin finger caressed my lips.
Emma: “…Okay. Kiss me until you’re satisfied.”
Nokto:” I don’t know if someone will come, is that okay?” 3103
(You said no in the city for that reason.)
Emma: “There’s no one right now. If it’s just a kiss…”
(You’re so sweet, you probably know how I’m feeling right now.)
(…)
(…just for today.)
(Tomorrow, I’ll do it properly again.)
Relying on Emma’s kindness, she takes my breath away again.
I bit her lips, entwined her tongue, and tasted every inch of her mouth…but I didn’t feel like stopping today.
Modern AU Thranduil One Shot - Studying Abroad
Safe for work, 995 words
The study abroad program you were participating in felt like a dream come true. The University of Kent located in Canterbury had proved to be the right school as the campus was lovely and it was a short train trip to London which made it easy to travel around the rest of England from there. You had been invited to a bonfire by some of your classmates and you happily accepted. The crowd grew fairly large by the time the sun had begun to set which during the Summer, was quite late. One man in particular caught your eye. He was very tall, you guessed around 6’5”, and had shaggy, light blonde hair. You were afraid he was going to notice you staring but it was hard to stop as he was so handsome. “You fancy him, don’t you?” your friend Ruby asked as she sat down on the ground beside you. “He’s really cute” you confessed. “He’s rich too. His father is the Earl of Guilford. He’s the eldest so he’ll inherit the title one day.” “Really?! I’ve never met anybody with a title.” “Come on, I’ll introduce you.” “No! I couldn’t. I’m a nobody” you said in protest. Ruby stood up and then took your hands to pull you to your feet as well. “He’s a real sweetheart. Come on!”
You followed behind her nervously as you walked towards him. “Hello! I’m Ruby and I wanted to introduce you to my friend Y/N. She’s studying abroad from America and has never met any of the nobility.” “Oh well, it’s very nice to meet you both. I’m Thranduil” he said with a big smile as he took turns shaking each woman’s hand. “I’ll see you later” Ruby said and then she walked away leaving them alone. “I hope we didn’t bother you” you said apologetically now feeling quite embarrassed as Ruby hadn’t known him any more than you did. “No bother at all. Are you studying at the university here?” “Yes. It’s just for the Summer but so far, I’m having a wonderful time. I’ve always wanted to come to England.” “I’m glad you’re enjoying your visit and I’m glad you were able to come to my party as well.” “This is your party?” you asked as you realized you hadn’t been given much information about the event. “Yes. I graduated from the University of Kent and every Summer I like to hold a party open to all current students, particularly the ones dedicated enough to continue classes through the Summer term” “That’s really nice of you. Is this your property?” “Yes, the manor house is just on the other side of that rise” he said as he pointed to a small green hill behind him. “Thanks again for the party and for not minding talking with me. I should get back to my friends.” “Do you have to?” he asked with a half-smile. You felt the butterflies in your stomach going crazy as you replied, “No, I guess I don’t have to.”
“Would you like to see the house? There’s a beautiful view from just over there” he said looking to the hill. “I’d love to see it.” You could hardly believe your eyes when the large house came into view. “Wow! I can’t imagine living somewhere like that.” “It was built in the 1700s. It takes a lot of work to maintain but it’s a privilege to be responsible for it and make sure it stands for centuries to come.” Thranduil was so proud as he spoke of the home he had been raised in and that he loved dearly. There was a gazebo not far from them and he took her hand in his as they walked towards it. You sat down beside each other and looked out onto the sky where the first stars were beginning to twinkle in the twilight. “I went to Leeds Castle last weekend and that was really fun. It’s beautiful there too.” You really wanted to tell him that he was the most handsome man you’d ever seen with a voice smoother than silk but instead you rambled about the places you’d been. “It is very lovely there…as are you.” You looked up at him with surprise and he quickly spoke again. “I am sorry. That was much too forward.” You felt courage well up inside you as you said, “I don’t mind. I think you’re really cute too.” You could feel your whole face turn red as you thought you sounded silly but the smile he gave you quickly put you at ease.
“I hope this doesn’t sound rude but I’ve never heard the name Thranduil before, is it a traditional English name.” He chuckled and then answered. “The name was my father’s idea. It is very old and I don’t believe that anyone has used it in centuries. I usually go by Thran.” “It’s a nice name and definitely is unique. Should I ask about your middle name?” you said with a joking tone. “Oh, it’s even worse! It’s Oropherion” he explained and you both laughed. “You’ll have to explain that one to me sometime” you said hinting that you wanted to see him again. “I certainly will” he said and he reached over to hold your hand.
Thran then smiled as he moved a little closer to you and then took both of your hands in his. He leaned forward and tenderly kissed your forehead. When you did not pull away, he looked into your eyes and then his soft lips kissed yours. He let go of your hands to caress your face and neck and you put your arms around his chest and pulled him closer to you. His kisses were gentle and sweet and you could feel yourself becoming a bit lightheaded. A shooting star streaked across the sky above but you were both oblivious to anything going on around you as you were completely lost in each other’s arms.
An Education in Attraction, Chapter 8
Pairing: Reader x Gojo
Summary: It's spring when you start your Master's degree. As the flowers and leaves unfold, so too do your feeling for Gojo
Warnings: None
Previous Chapters: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7
Ao3: PlaidSparrow
Early Tuesday morning you receive an email from your Learning Theories professor informing the class that he’s ill and class is canceled, leaving your afternoon free. The notification on your phone wakes you up bright and early, so you eat a filling breakfast at the cafeteria and try to wake up for the rest of your day. Since Gojo isn’t in the Learning Theories course, you send him a quick text asking if he’d like to work on the project after your Curriculum class.
He’s generally quick to respond the other times you’ve messaged him, but you haven’t gotten an answer by the time you’re ready to head to your Curriculum class. It’s possible that he’s not on campus, though it seems his attendance in class lately has been much more regular than it was at the beginning of the term. You conclude he’s probably busy, but any free time this late in the term is a godsend. You can build out the research section in the meantime, finding and citing sources has been extremely time consuming.
Campus is in the full swing of summer. It’s bustling with more undergraduates and foreign students than usual- here for short term or study abroad programs. The sun beats down as you take the familiar walk to the Graduate School of Education, the humidity makes the air thick and your shirt stick to your back. It’s a relief when you make it to your building, savoring the blast of air conditioning as you push in the door.
You set up for class and begin talking to Kuzume about when she’s free this week when you feel your phone buzz in your pocket. You excuse yourself from the conversation and check- Gojo is free after class today, and he wants to continue to knock out some of the fine tuning of your project.
It would have been nice if he had responded before you left your room this morning, you huff internally. You’d forgone bringing your research notes for an additional text in your field, which won’t be very useful for working together. Maybe you can just run back to your dorm and meet him in the library afterwards.
You’re about to send a response when the man himself enters the room. You catch his attention and he gives you a quick nod of acknowledgement. You’ll just tell him your plan after class, no need to keep your phone out when the lesson will start any moment. One thing that hasn’t changed is Gojo’s near tardiness to class.
Class passes quickly in a rapid paced lecture from your professor. You’re busy taking notes and absorbing the new information about evaluating effective curricula. This framework could affect the project you’re working on, but more importantly, these skills can help you better assess if your students are learning and what they’re retaining. While high school students have mastered the basics in each subject, it’s imperative that they can build deeper understanding before moving on to higher education or the workforce.
After the lecture has wrapped up, Saito walks over to you and Kuzume.
“A free afternoon! Want to grab lunch?” She asks. You’re not the only one excited for an unexpected bit of free time.
“I’ve actually already got plans,” you say, motioning to Gojo where he’s still seated across the room. “We’re so close to finishing the project, I don’t want to stress about it any more.”
“No problem at all, we’ll catch up over dinner later?” She links her arm through Saito’s arm and starts pulling her away. You’d updated the two women about your more successful partner work, and Kuzume’s eyes sparkle as she replies. She’s clearly looking forward to an update later.
You nod and promise to hang out soon, then head over to Gojo.
“Hey, sorry for not replying earlier.”
“No worries, I figured we’d walk over to the cafe or library and get started?” He’s casual, seemingly to a fault.
“I actually have to run back to my dorm and grab the correct notes, but I can meet you at whichever is easier.”
“You live on campus?” You nod. “Let’s just walk together.”
It’s a little forward of him to invite himself over, but it should just be a quick stop. Plus, you reason to yourself, it’ll be the fastest way to dive right into the paper.
“Alright.”
The walk back to your dorm is mostly quiet, and though it’s not uncomfortable, you can’t blame the sweat or your anxiety completely on the humid weather. You unlock the door to your apartment and open it wide.
“Come on in,” you say. “It should just take a minute to find them.”
You’re not quite sure where you left the research notes, you have piles of texts on your desk and on the side table next to your Western style bed. Gojo slips his shoes off and comes into the room. He’s quiet as he surveys your space.
While you sift through the loose pages of notes on your desk, Gojo steps closer to the wall, hands in his pockets, and looks at the photos you’ve put up on the wall- your family, friends from undergrad, your home abroad. Above your desk there are smaller pictures and keepsakes from your travels around Japan.
The pages on your desk are mostly notes from your other class, and won’t help with the project.
The right notes must be in the stack of books on the floor. You grab them and sit on the bed, quickly paging through your handwritten notes. Gojo turns to look where you’re sitting and you look up at him. His head is tilted just slightly as he looks down at you, and it suddenly feels very intimate to have him in your space. Even though you’ve warmed up to each other, your conversations with Gojo have centered around academics, you know hardly anything about his personal life. Now he’s seeing yours on display.
Looking around the dorm, you try to imagine what he might see in his first time viewing it. Light from the window pours across the room, painting the natural wood furniture in warm brown tones. Besides the piles of books, you’re mostly tidy. You’ve kept decorations simple- just a couple of small plants and the photos of your favorite memories. Surely seeing your dorm won’t change his opinion of you, but it’s almost unnerving that Gojo hasn’t said anything at all about your space.
You look back at the stack of papers in your hands, the notes have got to be in this last group. After swiftly shuffling through the pile, you finally have what you need. Gojo is still absorbed in looking at your stuff, you can just see a quarter of his face from the angle, but you take the moment of peace to absorb him.
Your eyes trace the slant of his jaw and the back of his neck. For the first time since he was rude to you, you feel your face warm and your stomach flutter. He really is handsome, and since you had puzzled out his dedication to his future students, your heart had irrevocably softened towards him. While he’s distracted, you allow yourself a moment to fantasize- perhaps he’d like to stay friends or colleagues after you finish working on this project. You can imagine meeting him for coffee or having him over to study, maybe even growing closer.
“I found them,” is what you force from your lips. You don’t want to spend the whole afternoon with Gojo surveying your room.
He finally tears his attention from your personal items and turns to face you. His expression and posture are totally neutral and comfortable, as if he’s visited a thousand times.
“It looked like the library was pretty quiet today. Want to work there?”
“Yea, sure.” You respond.
Gojo leads the way back to the library, where the two of you settle in the annex. The good weather must have drawn most of the student body outside, because the usually busy space is emptier than normal. You settle at one of the smaller tables and begin to review the data points to support your curricula plan.
Since your working relationship with Gojo has improved, the two of you have made excellent progress on the body of your paper- nailing down learning objectives and discussing where your fields might have some commonalities. If you continue working at this pace, there should be plenty of time for edits and adjustments before it’s due.
Conversation is moving quickly and you’re rapidly typing some notes as conversation lulls for a moment.
“Soo.” Gojo interrupts your note taking flow. “You didn’t go to school here?”
You look up at him and pause your typing.
“Yeah. Actually all my school before this program was abroad.”
He flips the pen over his fingers again. And again. His fingers are slender and graceful, and the bones of his knuckles are delicate in his large hands. He’s dexterous and purposeful in his movements. He’s staring down at the pen and you can’t read his face through the sunglasses.
He stays quiet and you suppose that’s the end of it and turn back to your computer, trying to remember what you were typing.
“Did you like it? The summers?”
Automatically, your eyes flick back up to him. His expression hasn’t changed, he’s acting like his attention is entirely consumed by the pen.
Apparently, the trip to your dorm has piqued his curiosity. While your upbringing outside of Japan is usually an eccentric fact when you introduce yourself, it’s never really come up in conversations with your partner. It’s a bit touching that he’s opening up and asking you.
The immediate answer to Gojo’s question is yes. But because it’s the first time he’s really asked you about yourself, you take a moment to think about what the summers were like. When the words do come, they’re slow and sweet with nostalgia, like the maple syrup on pancakes you once ate. You take your time when you do reply.
“Yeah. I liked it a lot. My parents both worked during the day so I kind of got to do whatever I wanted. My friends and I would ride bikes through the neighborhood or hang out at the park. While I enjoy school now, it was really nice to have the time off.”
You pause, not sure if you want to ask the question on your lips. He hadn’t reacted poorly the last time you pushed a little, so you commit to speaking before you can change your mind.
“Did you enjoy your summers? When you were younger?”
You keep your eyes on the computer screen, casual just like he had been, but you can feel his attention switch to you.
Gojo seems to take a moment to consider the question. His expression doesn’t change and you wonder if he might just change the subject like the last time you met.
"They were busy."
You nod. That seems to be the consensus from the students you've taught and the other pupils in your Master's program. You’re pleasantly surprised that he answered at all, and you don’t expect any more than that. Though you’re on good terms with Gojo now, his answers are generally still clipped and to the point.
"I spent most of my summers studying. Not a lot of free time."
When you look up at him, there’s a hint of a furrow on his brow.
But his expression shifts to an easy grin in the time it takes you to blink and then he’s back to his normal genial disposition.
“At least that’s paying off now. I get to miss class and travel just cuz I’ve already written papers.”
A huff that might be able to pass for a laugh escapes you. “If only we were all so lucky.”
Gojo leans back in the chair and rests his hands behind his head. “It is nice being able to cite myself in the research section. I bet no one else in the program can do that.” His smile is a little conceited, and you’d be less charmed if it was worn by anyone else.
You make a point of looking back down at your computer, but internally you’re intrigued. Gojo’s never been quite so open with you, and you find yourself eager to learn more. The two of you work well together, and you wouldn’t mind getting to know Gojo better outside the context of your project.
A month ago, you wouldn’t have dared to follow up with a question, but something’s shifted in your time writing together. After his last answer, you’re nearly positive that he won’t react negatively if you do push for a little more info now.
“You still seem pretty busy. I don’t know if anyone else in the program has missed as many classes as you either.”
Your voice is light, and you’re pleased to tease him back after he had caught you off-guard in the cafe last weekend.
“Special case, remember?” He taps the side of his head. “If I want to be able to cite my articles, gotta write ‘em first.”
So he’s still working in academia while enrolled in the program. You’d thought teaching on the side was bad enough, you can’t imagine keeping up with assigned readings and assignments plus outside research and writing. Evidently Kuzume and Saito were right.
If anything Gojo seems to be invigorated by the good natured ribbing. His smile is as wide as it was in the cafe and the two of you have done some of your best work these last couple sessions. Perhaps all along you just needed some banter to grease the wheels of your relationship.
“Truly, the world is deprived of Gojo et al.”
He beams at you, “Not for long. The program’s only two years long.”
You can’t help a good natured eye roll at that.
You settle back into actually working after that, and the last thirty minutes in the cafe prove fruitful. Gojo is engaging and is insightful on where to insert citations, and your own thoughts are met with genuine consideration. Your fingers are nearly sore from typing and he’s written several pages of notes too.
You’re almost regretful to cut things off, but morning is turning into afternoon and there’s still reading you’ve got to finish before class tomorrow. So you finish typing one last sentence and then flex your hands. Summer vacation, with free time and a break for your hands, hangs deliciously just a month out of reach.
“I think that’s a good place to stop for today. I’ve got to head out and do some more reading. If we have a couple more days like this, we’ll finally be done.”
Gojo is busy scribbling onto his pile of notes, but you’d like to think he feels as accomplished as you do. There’s another month before the due date, but it’s worth having time to revise and proofread on an assignment this big.
“If it’s for Curriculum, watch out. The next chapter’s a pain. Took me over an hour and the author still didn’t get to the point.”
He must be talking about the flowery author you’d been reading last week. You smile back at him and start to pack up your things. Maybe you do have more in common than you thought.
What actually means of success? How to get success easily in life? Here some tips and tricks
Introduction
Are you looking for easy success of life? If yes, then you are in the right place. If you want to live a happy life, you must be successful.We all want to do well, make money and have a good time doing so. But what makes someone successful? It's not just about having an education or being wealthy; it's about having the right mindset and attitude toward your goals.
What is Success
Each and every one of us has a diffet belief of what success is, millions of definitions, but it all boils down to one thing. Success is nothing but your goals, be it short term or long term and actually make sure you are grateful for what you have. You can be successful in life by working hard and not taking anything for granted. So get started now!!
Easy ways and tricks to get early success in life
Success is not always about what you gain from life but how you got it and what you do with it. It's a process, not an end result! One can have success in a lot of things in life. There are many different paths to achieve success and that all depends on the kind of person one is, as well as where one wants to go. So here are some tips, tricks and easy ways on how to get success in life easily.
1.Define your priorities
It's important to define your priorities in life, especially when it comes to time management. This can be challenging because there are so many things that you should be doing and prioritizing at once. However, if you take the time to make a list of what matters most and how much time each thing takes up, then it will become less overwhelming for yourself.For example: I am currently studying abroad in France for two years as part of my master's degree program in International Business. During this time period, my priority tasks include writing my thesis paper (a 5-page research paper) on "The Impact of Piracy on Digital Content Distribution" while also learning French language fluently through classes like "French Conversation" or "French Culture." The upside is that this process has helped me develop skills like reading comprehension which could lead towards future employment opportunities if they exist after graduation! While working towards these goals would require more hours than have available right now due down lack thereof due low pay but perhaps someone else might need someone who speaks multiple languages so may be someday soon? However, while I am focusing on my goals and prioritizing my tasks, I need to make sure that I am still taking care of myself. This means making sure that I am eating right, exercising regularly and staying hydrated throughout the day. If you feel like you are getting burned out at work or school then it is important to step back for a moment and evaluate what is happening.
2.Set realistic goals for yourself
When setting goals for yourself, it's important to know what you want and how to get it. If you don't have a clear picture of what your life will look like when all is said and done, then it's hard to set realistic goals. You should also be specific about what kind of life changes or accomplishments you'd like while working toward achieving your ultimate goal. For example: "I'm going to lose 20 pounds by January 3rd." Or: "I want my finances in order so that I can retire by age 50."Setting these types of specific goals will help keep things on track as well as prevent procrastination because now there are deadlines associated with each task.
3.Work on your skills and knowledge constantly
You need to understand what skills and knowledge you need to be successful. This can be a challenge, since it's easy to get complacent in your current situation or career path. But if you want to change things up and advance your career quickly, then you'll have to work at it constantly. If there's one thing that I've learned from my own journey as well as others', it's that being open-minded is key when trying new things or learning new skills-especially when we're talking about business management! For example: when starting out with my own company (which was only 20' months ago), I had no idea how many hours per week our employees worked because they didn't tell me which means we ended up paying them less than what would've been fair compensation for their time spent working on projects outside their normal duties at the office during evenings/weekends. Success in life is a journey that never ends. You have to keep working at it and you'll never know if you're on the right path until you get there. But if you follow these simple steps, you can increase your chances of success.
4.Use your time effectively
Before you can get anywhere in life, you need to learn how to use your time effectively. The first step is to make a list of all the tasks that need doing and prioritize them based on their importance. Use this list as a reference when scheduling your day so that it doesn't get lost in the clutter of other commitments.You should also avoiddistractions at all costs; if there's something more fun or interesting happening at work or home, turn off your phone! You'll never get anything done if it's distracting enough that you can't focus on what needs doing next."
5.Know that failure is part of the process.
You need to know that failure is part of the process. It's not the end, it's a learning opportunity. Failure can be used as a way to learn, grow and improve in your life-and for many people it's a necessary step along the way. The most successful people have learned from their failures and have kept going forward with their goals despite them (often because they've done so before).Failure isn't necessarily something negative; sometimes it just means that we didn't get what we wanted out of something else at first but eventually got there anyway!
6.Surround yourself with others who are doing the same thing
Surround yourself with others who are doing the same thing. If you want to become a writer, find people who write and hang out with them. If you want to be an entrepreneur, look for other entrepreneurs in your area and go on trade shows together. The more connections you make with people who share your interests, the easier it will be for you to achieve success in those areas as well!
7.If you want success in life, you need to define what you want and then go after it
If you want success in life, you need to define what you want and then go after it. You can't just say that "I want my dream job" or "I want this house with the big backyard and pool." Instead, think about how much money and time you will need for each goal-and whether or not those things are possible for your current situation.Once you have defined your goals, break them down into smaller steps using an action plan (or "TO DO list"). For example: Get up every morning at 5 AM on my way home from work; drink water while doing so; eat breakfast before leaving home; exercise everyday before going back into work again... and so on until reaching my final target date by which point I will have achieved success as defined above!
8.Setting goals
One of the most important things you can doto get success in life is setting goals.You may think that setting your goal is enough, but it's not. Your goals must be clear and defined so that you know exactly what success looks like for you. If your goal isn't realistic or attainable, then it won't work for you! For example: I want my kids to graduate from high school before they turn 18 years old... but how? How would I meet this goal?Another mistake people make when setting their own goals is thinking about them as something separate from themselves - like a list of things they need from someone else (like their parents). This makes it difficult because then there are no consequences if things don't go according to plan! You need accountability so make sure that everyone involved knows what the end result should look like before starting out on this journey together
9.Working smart, not just hard
Working smart is better than working hard, and you can be more productive by using the right tools and techniques.The right tools don't always mean more time spent in front of your computer; they simply allow you to concentrate on what's important: getting things done. For example, using a calendar app will help keep track of deadlines, appointments, etc., so that there are not surprises later on when it comes time for those projects or tasks. Using different applications for each task also helps ensure that nothing gets overlooked because there's too much going on at once-and therefore not enough focus being given over all tasks/projects at hand, You should also avoid distractions as much as possible; this means rejecting social media sites entirely until after work hours when everyone else has gone home already!
10.Taking calculated risks when necessary
Taking calculated risks when necessary is one of the most important things you can do to succeed. It's easy to get overwhelmed and discouraged by the scale of an opportunity, but it's important that you understand your limits and don't be afraid to ask for help when needed.The more time we spend trying new things and failing, the better our chances of success will be in other areas of life too!
Conclusion-:
We've covered a lot of ground here. Hopefully, you're feeling inspired and motivated to take action on some of these goals. We know it's easy to get caught up in the day-to-day grind, but remember that this process isn't about being perfect or achieving perfection-it's about working towards something greater than yourself. If you want success in life, then it starts with defining what makes up an ideal life for yourself. Only when you know exactly what kind of person you want to be will it be easier for others around us too.
Apostille Requirements for Educational Certificates for Online Programs: A Complete Guide
With the rise of online education, more and more students are earning degrees, certifications, and diplomas through virtual programs. While these qualifications are widely recognized, when students need to use their educational certificates abroad—whether for further study, employment, or immigration purposes—they often need a document apostille to ensure their international validity. Apostille services authenticate these educational documents, making them legally acceptable in foreign countries.
This guide will walk you through the apostille requirements for educational certificates earned through online programs, why you may need an apostille, and how to navigate the process successfully.
Why Is an Apostille Necessary for Educational Certificates from Online Programs?
When using an educational certificate abroad, many countries require proof that the document is authentic. This is especially important for online degrees or certifications, as some countries or employers may be more cautious about accepting qualifications from virtual institutions. By obtaining an apostille for your certificate, you demonstrate that:
The certificate was issued by a legitimate, accredited institution.
The certificate is valid and recognized by the issuing country’s educational or governmental authorities.
The document meets international standards for authenticity and legal use.
Submitting the original document for apostille is crucial to ensure its authenticity and compliance with international requirements.
Apostilles are often required for:
Employment: If you are applying for a job abroad, employers may need proof that your educational credentials are valid.
Further Education: Universities or educational institutions abroad may require apostilled documents to verify that your previous qualifications meet their entry requirements.
Immigration: Many visa applications, especially for work or study visas, require authenticated educational documents.
Professional Licensing: If your profession requires a license in a foreign country, apostilled educational documents may be necessary to complete the licensing process.
Understanding the Hague Convention
The Hague Convention, officially known as the Apostille Convention, is an international treaty established in 1961 to streamline the process of authenticating public documents for use in foreign countries. With over 100 member countries, including the United States, the Hague Convention eliminates the need for additional authentication procedures, such as consular legalization. This simplification is particularly beneficial for educational documents, as it ensures that diplomas, transcripts, and other academic credentials can be easily verified and accepted abroad. By adhering to the standards set by the Hague Convention, the apostille process becomes more efficient, allowing individuals to use their educational documents internationally with confidence.
Common Documents That Require Apostille for Online Programs
The specific documents that may need to be apostilled vary depending on your situation, but commonly apostilled educational documents include:
Diplomas: The official document certifying that you have completed an online degree or certification program.
Transcripts: Official academic records that detail your courses, grades, and credits earned in the online program.
Certificates of Completion: For professional courses, certifications, or short-term programs completed online, a certificate of completion may need to be apostilled.
Accreditation Proof: In some cases, foreign authorities may request proof that the institution offering the online program is accredited. Accreditation letters from the institution or educational authorities may need to be apostilled.
It is important to submit original educational documents for the apostille process to ensure authenticity and validity.
Step-by-Step Guide to Apostilling Educational Certificates for Online Programs
Here’s a comprehensive guide to help you apostille your educational certificates earned through online programs:
First and foremost, it is crucial to gather all the documents necessary for the apostille process.
Step 1: Obtain Certified Copies of Your Educational Certificates
Before you can have your educational certificates apostilled, you will need to obtain certified copies of the educational document from the issuing institution. Certified copies are official versions of the documents, usually issued by the registrar’s office of the online school or university. Ensure that these copies bear the appropriate signatures and seals of the institution, as apostille authorities will not accept photocopies or unofficial versions.
If your institution is in the United States, for example, you would need an official diploma or transcript issued by the school with the registrar’s signature and the school’s seal.
Step 2: Notarize the Educational Documents with a Notary Public (If Required)
In many cases, educational certificates may need to be notarized before they can be apostilled. Getting a document notarized involves having a notary public verify that the document is a true and accurate representation of the original and confirm the identity of the person requesting the notarization.
Some schools or online programs may already provide notarized documents upon request. If not, you may need to take the certified document to a notary public for authentication.
Step 3: Submit the Documents for Apostille
Once you have your certified and, if necessary, notarized copies of your educational documents, you can submit them for apostille certification. The process varies depending on where the online program was accredited and the issuing authority. In most cases, you will need to submit the documents to the Secretary of State or equivalent state office in the region where the educational institution is located.
For U.S.-based institutions, for example, you would submit the documents to the Secretary of State for the state where the school is located. For federal-level educational documents (such as transcripts from a U.S. federal institution), you may need to submit them to the U.S. Department of State.
Step 4: Complete the Apostille Request Form
Most apostille offices require an apostille request form to be completed, providing information about the document, the issuing institution, and the country where the document will be used. Be sure to fill out the form carefully, providing accurate details about the institution and the online program.
When completing the form:
Indicate that the document is an educational certificate.
Specify the country where the apostilled document will be used, as the format of the apostille may differ based on this information.
Step 5: Pay the Apostille Fee
Apostille services usually require a fee, which varies depending on the issuing office and the type of document. Fees may differ by state or country, and you may need to pay via check, money order, or credit card. Be sure to confirm the payment methods accepted by the apostille office.
Step 6: Submit Your Documents for Apostille (By Mail or In-Person)
You can typically submit your documents for apostille either by mail or in person, depending on the issuing office’s procedures. If you submit by mail, include a self-addressed, prepaid return envelope to ensure your apostilled documents are returned safely.
If you’re under time constraints, check whether expedited or rush services are available for a quicker turnaround.
Step 7: Receive the Apostilled Documents
Once your documents are processed, the issuing authority will attach an apostille certificate to your educational certificates, verifying their authenticity for international use. Ensure that the apostille is properly attached and that all the information is correct.
Step 8: Submit the Apostilled Documents to the Foreign Authority
After you receive the apostilled documents, submit them to the relevant foreign authority, whether it’s an employer, university, or immigration office. Some countries may require translated versions of the documents, so check if you need to obtain a certified translation as well.
Choosing the Right Apostille Service Provider
Selecting the right apostille service provider is a critical step in ensuring a smooth and hassle-free apostille process. When making your choice, consider providers that are recognized by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) or the relevant government agency in your country.
Experience and a proven track record are also important, as they indicate that the provider is well-versed in the apostille process and can handle any potential issues. Additionally, transparency in fees and customer service should be key considerations. A reputable provider will offer clear information about costs and provide responsive support throughout the process, ensuring that your educational documents are authenticated efficiently and accurately.
Benefits of Having an Apostille Stamp on Educational Documents
Having an apostille stamp on your educational documents offers several significant benefits. Firstly, it simplifies the authentication process, saving you time and effort by eliminating the need for multiple verification steps. The apostille stamp also validates your educational documents, making them legally recognized in foreign countries. This is particularly important for those seeking employment, further education, or professional licensing abroad. Furthermore, the apostille process, while involving several steps, is a streamlined form of document verification that ensures your academic credentials are accepted across international borders. By obtaining an apostille, you enhance the credibility and acceptance of your educational achievements worldwide.
How Long Does It Take to Get a Document Apostilled?
The time required to get a document apostilled can vary depending on the country and the type of document. For instance, in India, the apostille process typically takes about 5 to 7 working days. However, this timeframe can extend during peak periods or due to specific administrative requirements. It is essential to plan ahead and allow sufficient time for the apostille process to avoid last-minute rushes. By understanding the expected processing times and preparing your documents in advance, you can ensure that your educational certificates are authenticated and ready for use in a foreign country without unnecessary delays.
What If the Destination Country Is Not Part of the Hague Convention?
If the country where you plan to use your educational certificates is not a member of the Hague Apostille Convention, you will need to follow a different process known as legalization. The legalization process involves additional steps:
Notarization: The document must first be notarized.
Certification: The notarized document must be certified by a state or federal authority.
Legalization by the Embassy or Consulate: Finally, the document must be legalized at the foreign embassy or consulate of the destination country.
In the case of non-Hague countries, the federal government plays a crucial role in the legalization process, ensuring that documents are properly authenticated at the federal level.
The legalization process is more complex and time-consuming than obtaining an apostille, but it ensures that your documents are recognized in non-Hague countries.
Common Mistakes to Avoid When Using Apostille Services
Submitting Uncertified Copies: Only official, certified copies of your education documents will be accepted for apostille. Ensure that you request official versions from your online institution.
Forgetting to Notarize Documents: Some educational documents need to be notarized before they can be apostilled. Check with your institution or apostille office to confirm whether notarization is required.
Incorrect or Incomplete Forms: Be sure to complete the apostille request form accurately and provide all necessary information to avoid delays.
Not Allowing Enough Time: Apostille processing times can vary, so plan ahead and allow enough time for the documents to be authenticated before any deadlines.
Conclusion
Obtaining an apostille for educational certificates earned through online programs is an essential step when using these documents abroad for employment, further education, or immigration purposes. By following the steps outlined in this guide, you can ensure that your documents are properly authenticated and recognized by foreign authorities.
Student safety is paramount. Establish a clear, accessible support system that students can rely on throughout their time abroad. This includes pre-departure orientations, on-the-ground staff who can provide assistance, and resources that address health, safety, and emergency situations. Ensuring students feel supported at every step increases their confidence and allows them to focus on learning and exploration.
4. Professional Development
Incorporate elements that contribute to students’ professional development, such as internships, networking events, or workshops with local businesses. Exposure to international work environments can enhance their resumes and give them a competitive edge in the job market.
5. Reflection and Community Building
Encourage students to reflect on their experiences through blogs, journals, or discussion groups. Reflection helps students process their experiences and solidify their learning. Facilitate opportunities for students to share their insights and learnings with each other, creating a sense of community and shared purpose within the group.
6. Accessibility
Ensure that the program is accessible to all students, including those with disabilities or limited financial resources. This might involve providing scholarships, ensuring that accommodations and activities are disability-friendly, and supporting diverse dietary and health needs. A truly enriching program is one that is inclusive and equitable.
7. Post-Program Engagement
By focusing on these elements, educational institutions can craft study-abroad programs that are not only enriching and educational but also supportive and inclusive, ensuring that students return with skills and memories that last a lifetime.
The Contradictions of Capitalism: A Study of its Negative Externalities
Capitalism thrives on contradiction. It promises prosperity but often delivers inequality, ecological degradation, and social unrest. Beneath its surface efficiency lies a system that externalizes costs, prioritizes profit above collective well-being, and perpetuates systemic vulnerabilities.
One of capitalism's central flaws is its incentive structure. Corporations are compelled to maximize profit, often at the expense of workers, communities, and the environment. For example, global supply chains frequently rely on exploitative labor practices. Low wages and poor working conditions in factories abroad reduce production costs, but they create cycles of poverty and social instability. The same mechanism drives environmental degradation. Industries strip forests, pollute water, and emit greenhouse gases—not because it is inevitable, but because the market fails to account for these external costs.
Another negative aspect is wealth concentration. In 2022, the top 1% of individuals held nearly 50% of the world's wealth. This disparity is not merely economic; it undermines democracy. When wealth buys influence, political systems prioritize corporate interests over public ones. This creates policies that entrench inequality, such as tax structures favoring the rich or cuts to public welfare programs.
Finally, capitalism fosters a culture of disposability. Planned obsolescence ensures products break or lose relevance, fueling endless consumption. This practice generates waste and perpetuates a mindset that values material acquisition over sustainability. Landfills swell, and the planet pays the price.
Capitalism's success depends on its failures. By ignoring these negative externalities, it thrives in the short term while endangering the long term. Understanding these contradictions is essential to imagining a more equitable and sustainable economic model.
The Statement of Purpose (SOP) is one of the most critical documents for your study abroad application. Why you want to study a specific course.
Why you chose a particular university and country.
Your future goals and how the program will help you achieve them.
Why is the SOP Important?
The SOP allows admissions committees to understand your motivations, academic background, and future aspirations. A compelling SOP helps you stand out among thousands of applicants and demonstrates your commitment to the program.
Steps to Write the Perfect SOP
1. Understand the Requirements
Before you begin writing, carefully read the university’s SOP guidelines. Some institutions may provide specific prompts, word limits, or formatting rules. Adhere to these instructions to ensure your SOP meets their expectations.
2. Start with a Strong Introduction
Your introduction should grab the reader’s attention. Begin with a personal story, a thought-provoking quote, or an achievement that relates to your chosen field. For example:
“Growing up, I was fascinated by the power of technology to solve real-world problems. This passion inspired me to pursue computer science, and today, I aspire to contribute to the field by advancing AI technologies.”
3. Highlight Your Academic and Professional Background
Briefly outline your educational qualifications and professional experiences. Emphasize achievements that are relevant to your chosen course. Be concise but specific. For instance:
“During my undergraduate studies in business management, I developed strong analytical skills and leadership abilities. My internship at XYZ Company allowed me to apply these skills to real-world scenarios, where I successfully led a team to complete a market analysis project.”
4. Explain Your Reasons for Choosing the Course
Clearly state why you are interested in the specific course and how it aligns with your career aspirations. Avoid generic statements and focus on how the program’s curriculum meets your academic and professional needs.
5. Justify Your Choice of University and Country
Highlight the unique features of the university and the country that influenced your decision. For example:
The university’s faculty, research opportunities, or facilities.
The country’s education system, cultural diversity, or industry exposure.
6. Discuss Your Future Goals
Outline your short-term and long-term goals and explain how the course will help you achieve them. For instance:
Short-term goal: Securing a position as a data analyst.
Long-term goal: Establishing your own data-driven consultancy.
7. Conclude with Impact
End your SOP on a confident and optimistic note. Reaffirm your commitment to the program and your enthusiasm for contributing to the university community.
Education Loan Eligibility Criteria for Studying Abroad
In this article, we'll cover the education loan eligibility criteria for studying abroad, key requirements for applicants, and tips to maximize your chances of approval.
Key Eligibility Criteria for Education Loans to Study Abroad
Education loan providers—whether they are banks, private lenders, or financial institutions—typically evaluate several criteria before approving a loan. Here are some of the most common eligibility requirements:
1. Nationality and Residency
Most education loan providers require applicants to be Indian citizens. Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), Persons of Indian Origin (PIO), and Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) may also be eligible, though they may face additional requirements. Loan applicants generally must also demonstrate proof of residence in India.
2. Academic Background and Admission Confirmation
A strong academic background can positively impact an applicant's eligibility. Lenders often prefer applicants who have consistently performed well in their previous studies, as it indicates the likelihood of successful completion of the chosen program. Admission confirmation to a recognized foreign institution is also a core requirement.
To qualify, you’ll need:
Admission to a reputable university or institution abroad.
Proof of enrollment in a recognized program (undergraduate, postgraduate, or doctoral).
Official offer letter from the institution, detailing your course and duration.
Some banks may also require you to submit standardized test scores (GRE, GMAT, TOEFL, IELTS) as proof of your preparedness for international education.
3. Loan Repayment Capacity and Co-applicant Requirement
Since most students are financially dependent, banks and financial institutions typically require a co-applicant or guarantor for education loans for studying abroad. This individual, usually a parent or close relative, guarantees the loan repayment if the student defaults.
Co-applicant Eligibility:
The co-applicant must have a stable source of income, often demonstrated through income tax returns or salary slips.
A strong credit history is essential, as lenders assess the credit score of the co-applicant to evaluate the likelihood of timely repayment.
4. Course and Institution Eligibility
The type of course and institution selected for study abroad can impact loan eligibility. Lenders often maintain a list of recognized institutions that they consider eligible for education loans. Most programs covered by education loans for studying abroad include:
Undergraduate and postgraduate programs in STEM, humanities, business, and social sciences.
Professional courses such as MBA, engineering, law, and medicine.
Doctoral programs and research courses.
Note that short-term courses or language certifications may not always be eligible for education loans.
5. Age Limit
Many banks and financial institutions impose age limits for education loan applicants. For instance, applicants for undergraduate loans are typically expected to be between 18 and 35 years old. Age criteria can vary depending on the lender and type of program (e.g., undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral).
6. Loan Amount and Collateral Requirement
Education loans for studying abroad are often substantial due to the high costs of tuition and living expenses in foreign countries. Generally, loans below a certain threshold (e.g., INR 4 lakhs) do not require collateral. For higher amounts, especially loans exceeding INR 7.5 lakhs, lenders may require tangible collateral, such as:
Fixed deposits
Property deeds (immovable property like land or a house)
Insurance policies
This collateral serves as security for the lender in case of non-repayment.
7. Minimum Required Documentation
When applying for an education loan to study abroad, prepare the following documentation:
Admission letter from a recognized institution abroad
Identity and address proof (Aadhar card, passport, voter ID)
Proof of academic records (certificates and transcripts)
Income proof of the co-applicant
Recent passport-sized photographs
Standardized test scores (if applicable)
Collateral documents, if applying for a secured loan
Tips for Meeting Education Loan Eligibility Criteria for Studying Abroad
Maintain a Good Credit History: Ensure the co-applicant has a healthy credit score, as this plays a key role in determining loan eligibility.
Apply to Recognized Institutions: Choose institutions that are well-regarded and recognized by education loan providers, as this can simplify the approval process.
Research Lender-Specific Requirements: Different lenders have unique requirements, so compare banks and financial institutions to find the one that best aligns with your eligibility.
Prepare All Documents in Advance: Missing documents can delay your application or result in rejection. Ensure you have all required documents in order before applying.
Start the Application Process Early: Banks may take time to process and approve an education loan, so apply early to avoid last-minute delays.
