silver spikes and pastel ribbons.
headcannons of Hobie with an opposite aesthetic gf. (afab! reader)
genre: mainly fluff, slight angst, nsfw(?)
warnings: little nsfw if you squint, crying, some kid gets a car lobbed at him 😭
Tumblr media
i imaginee the two of you actually met at one of his gigs 🫶🏻
He was on the stage, flicking his roughened fingertips on each string on his guitar, a harsh rift sounding through the amp on the edge of platform as he moves his hand further up the fretboard.
Then he looks in the crowd, right by the barrier of sweaty, headbanging and most likely hammered fans, and you’re right there.
Directly in front of him, pressed against the metal-barred barrier that security was struggling to keep people from hopping over.
What caught him off guard wasn’t only the fact you were fuckin’ gorgeous, but the fluttery, light pink dress that was just above the middle of your thighs. White lace trimmed the v-shaped neckline that was held up by thin, spaghetti straps.
Strips of silky ribbon cascade from the wrap around your waist, dangling pearls and a small-chain necklace decorate your collarbones and shimmer like the sheen of sweat that held stray hairs against your temples and your forehead.
And your shoes - a pair of white, glossy, open-toed high heels that added a few extra inches to your height (Hobie secretly wanted to give you a few other inches), but even with them Hobie could still tell from the stage that he was way taller than you.
He misses a single strum of his guitar, so he temporarily redirects his attention back to the gig, his hickory eyes still wandering over to you from under his mask.
100% got the security to practically hunt you down so you could meet him backstage.
He’s a little anxious because they were taking a while, and he’s slightly disappointed at the thought you already left.
But then there’s a knock at the door and one of the security guards speaks muffled through his private backstage room.
“Hobie, got the girl you were askin’ for.”
The rest is history, really. You were officially dating after 7 painfully long months.
You got along well, even if everything else about each other was contrasting, you’re political ideals, music taste and humour are practically a copy and paste.
The two of you get undoubtably get some stares.
A man clad in black leather and silver spikes and a woman dressed like a doll stood out a lot against the Nike trackies of London.
“Everyone’s staring, Hobie.”
“Ignore ‘em, hun. They’re pissed JD is shut.”
Every now and then he takes you to a more quiet, downtown street with a collection of thrift stores and craft shops.
Hobie’s definitely caught in Hobbycraft at least twice a week 😭😭
Literally loves your style - everything from your jewellery to the way you get your nails done.
He’s whipped ‼️
Loves everything about you, but especially your hair.
If you wear wigs he’s helping you install it, if you have naturally curly hair he’s taking note of each step for later on, he reads the labels of every hair product you own.
I feel like he has a thing for curly hair idk why I just get the vibe.🤭
Hobie definatly told Pav and Gwen about you when you first met, like the next day he’s at the Spider Society talking even more than usual.
“She was stunnin’, I’m tellin’ ya’ now. Really nice eyes,” He turns away from them and mutters under his breath, “And tits.”
Gwen smirks, “You’ve told us, I’m pretty sure.” She nudges Pav, and he’s giggling like an excited schoolgirl.
“Never thought I’d see Hobie have a full-blown crush!” Pav comments.
Hobie hums, a small smile on his face as he stares infront of him. Gwen and Pav share a look before they imitate the way he looks - like a lovestruck idiot.
It’s funny with one of you in the other’s room - Hobie, dressed in dark blues and blacks with an overall threatening aura just sat on your pretty pink bedsheets in your floral-scented room.
Sometimes you’ll randomly go on a tangent about a new dress or concert tickets whilst doing something else, and you’re convinced he’s uninterested.
Next time he’s at yours he had that new dress in a silk scarf wrap, or he pulls the tickets out of one of his pockets.
You’re in the kitchen of your apartment, stirring the milk into your tea as Hobie scrapes butter onto two slices of toast you had put in.
When he’s finished, he slides the plate over to you before leaning back on the counter and looking at your over his shoulder.
“Thanks, Bee,” You pick up the plate, moving it closer to you for easier access to the toast.
There’s two rectangular, shimmery-sheened tickets underneath the circular plate.
You’re shocked, looking at the ticket now in your hand, eyes moving from the words and numbers printed onto it and your boyfriend.
“Hobie, you didn’t have to!” You say.
“You said that ya’ wanted to see them, so I got us tickets.” He shrugs, a small proud smirk on his lips.
Movie nights every Friday after dinner 💕
Sometimes he has to leave early or he shows up later on, but he makes up for the time lost by bringing you your favourite food and drink from the local corner shop.
If you’re in college or uni, he will swing in every break and check in on you and everything.
When it comes to cuddling, he’s the big spoon 95% of the time unless he had a really shitty day.
Like really shitty.
It’s not very often Hobie crys, and even when he does it’s not for very long.
The man prides himself in being Spider-Punk, saving civilians whilst preaching his beliefs to his followers that feel more like a family than fans.
He can only hold on so long, and it’s only a matter of time before he can’t save someone.
Sure, the little boy wasn’t dead, he was in hospital after a car had been carelessly tossed into him by the anomaly he was supposed to contain.
After visiting the boy in hospital, chanting apologies and ‘get well soon’s like a broken record, he goes to the first place he can think of.
Yours.
There was something so special, so serene and comforting in the confines of your cluttered shelves and organised wardrobe pressed against the walls of your bedroom.
Hobie knew it wasn’t the room, but it was you.
You, so different and relaxing. Calming and exciting, understanding and motivating. Anywhere was safe if you were there.
He swings through shadowed alleys, reaching your apartment over the bustling roads and honking horns of the cars below.
Hobie perches on your small balcony, and taps on the window.
In his reflection, Spider-Punk looks back at him. Strong, unbeatable, selfless and stubborn. But as he pulls the mask off, the fabric hanging limp like a ragdoll cat in his had, Hobie Brown stares back at him.
Tattered, exhausted, overwhelmed and in desperate need to be in your arms.
The window opens. His mental image of himself splits away as soon as he sees your face.
“Rough night?” You ask, voice slightly raspy and muffled, yet still as soothing as hot tea and honey on a sore throat.
The routine begins when Hobie nods. He clambers in, he takes off his boots and jacket and leaves them by your desk, his mask discarded somewhere beside them.
You pull out one of his white, soft cotton shirts from your dresser, and a pair of dark grey shorts. He gets changed, you make a cup of tea.
Then he cries. Salty droplets of embodied sorrows paired with the pinch of his eyebrows and the slight quiver of his bottom lip.
Each time a tear drips down his soft cheeks you wipe it away with your equally as soft hands, smearing the liquidated sadness into his now clumpy lashes.
You count sixteen droplets this time before he stops, and you stand up to offer the silk scarf he wrapped your gifted babydoll dress in, and he takes it before wrapping the coarse, black wicks that topped his head.
And then he’s curling his back against your chest, holding the hand of your arm that loosely covers his waist.
Their consciousness fades into two seperate slumbers. A comforting silence drapes over the two lovers, knowing that the other will be there when they awake.

I was getting deeper and deeper into everything electronic and industrial, all during my one-year break in-between the Brentwood era and community college. The UK electronics invasion, MTV's Amp, and Wipeout XL were the major influences that led me to that point. I was starting to have an endless appetite for music, and one thing I learned about myself that I could be interested in anything and everything. I already had an affinity to golden-era hip-hop / rap and alternative. The seeds of hardcore started to grow, so there would be no stopping me at this point. There were so many genres, artists, and sounds I was getting into, and I wanted to keep up. I had a position at a department store in the shopping mall, then later at a movie rental store, so I could afford to buy titles for whatever cash I had in hand.
I didn't have a desktop with internet to find independent stores. I had yellow pages instead: thick phone-books listing hundreds upon hundreds of pages of local businesses, their addresses, and their phone numbers all in minuscule print. That's how I discovered them back then. It was a year after visiting my first-ever independent record store, Commack's Mr. Cheapo's. Then came West Babylon's Looney Tunes before the holidays. Still enthusiastic in discovering the vast unknown, I wanted to find more. Port Jefferson's Music Den would be the next destination.
I already felt like an outsider when I arrived on campus. It was a different type of demographic I was used to. I looked around and I'd still see cliques, circles, and other "exclusive" groups of students that I felt I wouldn't be included in. I'd meet newfound friends who'd introduce me to their friends, but it felt forced, and they didn't seem to care. I was crazy for Atari Teenage Riot because they showed me exactly what techno always should've been: deafening loud, criminally high-speed, and maniacally all over the place. I tried looking for people who were in them, and observed what types of music the majority were into. Simplistic, manufactured, predictable dance hits. Boring weekend club-mashers. Formulaic radio chart-toppers. I wasn't impressed. The people who were into that were shallow, superficial, judgmental, needlessly competitive, and at times just unnecessarily mean. Drama artists and attitude jockeys all over the place. That's why they called community college "13th Grade". Now you'd see the disgusting distaste of the late-Nineties music scene I had. But, I did have a couple of good cards given to me. I joined the campus newspaper which I'd write music reviews for. An attractive brunette, Sandra, randomly stopped me to strike up a conversation, and wanted to get to know me better. She was also a Jesus freak. I also made another friend I met on campus who decided to set me up with an Irish blonde acquaintance of his, and we hit it off right away. Even then, I'd deal with constant games, rudeness, and random acts of ego during my time there.
The newspaper meeting ended one late October Thursday night. I finally had the opportunity to drive out eight miles from campus to the Port Jefferson Music Den for some shopping. I walked right in, and started digging. I'm not even there for two minutes and I already find gold: the import version of Alec Empire’s The Destroyer for only $9.00 used ($22.00 brand new otherwise). That was a huge deal for me because (once again) I was an Atari Teenage Riot / DHR fanatic. Right after that? Another label release, this time from EC8OR. I'd finally discover all those artists I heard about on the internet; thirty-minute download times of grainy 480P-resolution video and all. I was really starting to like this place. I start scouring the used CD bins, and I’d stumble upon KMFDM’s banned version of Naive for $8.00 - back when used copies on eBay were selling for…$80.00 each! Then came Pigface’s Washingmachinemouth and Ministry’s The Land Of Rape And Honey for a few dollars used. I copped Fluke’s Risotto because of Wipeout XL, and I’d snatch Skinny Puppy’s Back & Forth Volume 2 and Cleopatra’s Industrial Revolution: Third Edition, all for regular price. Finally, Coldcut’s "Atomic Moog 2000" / "Reboot The System": the first-ever multimedia CD I'd ever own.
Minute-by-minute, I'd slowly discover all sorts of wild and unusual sounds and artists they had on the racks. The Port Jeff- Music Den carried all the rare, unusual, and obscure stuff no other store on the island did. Sure, there were plenty of used CDs and vinyl bins in pop, metal, alternative, shoegaze, indie, hip-hop, and jazz. It was their industrial, noise, electronic, and experimental selections, however, that would be the all-important tie-breaker. They had all what I was looking for. I remembered seeing titles like Gescom’s Minidisc on the racks, Coil’s “Autumn Equinox: Amethyst Deceivers” 7", tons of Clock DVA, Controlled Bleeding, plus some Oval and Microstoria albums. It was wild. I felt stimulated because I found plenty of abnormalities that I never knew existed, instead of the expected, typical, calculated fare that did absolutely nothing for me.
90 minutes later, I took my short stack of CDs, placed them on the counter to be rung up, cashed out, and wrapped up what would be my first visit to The -Den. $82.00 later, I leave fucking satisfied.
With each visit after, I’d continue to score big victories where I’d find them. They were Phil Western’s debut album The Escapist, Muslimgauze’s Hamas Arc, Mike & Rich’s Expert Knob Twiddlers, Aphex Twin’s Analogue Bubblebath 3, Merzbow’s Pulse Demon, and Sam & Valley. I’d nab more DHR albums from 16-17, Shizuo on vinyl, Fuck Step '98, Give Up on 12", and Alec Empire’s Squeeze The Trigger. The best? Autechre / Gescom’s “Keynell” 12" that I found under the vinyl bins and hidden inside the cabinet underneath. It was stickered for $17.00 - another record where second-hand copies sold on eBay for $125.00. I also managed to pick up a few of their 12" EPs, mainly Chiclisuite and Envane.
All these finds made The -Music Den the most unforgettable store I had the privilege to visit. They were like nothing else on the island. Sadly, they closed down after the turn of the millennium, and no store that came after was half-as-good enough to fill the hole they left behind. Believe me, if any of you reading this would’ve shopped there, you’d feel amazed and blown away like I was. I’d still have a tough time dealing with all the constant, petty drama on campus over the next couple of years. At the Port Jefferson Music Den, however, I knew that was a place where I felt like I’d belong.

Callio fun facts
as the title says, here are some fun things about Callio regarding her career at the music store!
-played the ukulele like a bass (scroll down to see an image of it!)
-licked the smudges off guitars
-dusted off fretboards with her nub of a tail
-sang (meowed) to customers if they held her up to a mic
-hopped up on the electric piano
-checked that amps are properly plugged in (and if they were not, she would gently bite the end of the cable with the utmost care to not puncture it, and waddle cutely and determinedly across the shop to the proper place)
-hit the drums with her paws
-batted shakers around
-gathered dropped guitar picks into a pile under a chair (these would be used to reward customers who pet her favorite spot)
Here is Callio playing the ukulele (modeled after my own) as part of an art trade with the incredible @kokolencha!

speak now — any headcanons about Matt and music?
i’ve been thinking about this since you first submitted it & doing some research (rewatching DD clips) so let's explore together nonnie
headcannon below the cut
timeless (matt's version)
Tumblr media
so we know that matt likes vinyl records, which is one of the very few clues we get about what devil boy does for fun besides argue and bleed, which I think might be a preference passed down from his dad (jack might've been a collector and passed some down to matt as a kid), but I think it also has to do with the listening experience
I myself collect records, and have for several years, and listening to a vinyl vs listening to music on the radio or your phone is a different experience. sometimes the music can get a little distorted when listening on a phone, or there's interference from the radio, but vinyls usually produce a very crisp and clean sound which might work better for matt's sensitive hearing
I personally think he has a pair of noise cancelling headphones that he plugs into his record player sometimes when he wants to be able to listen to the music without any distractions picked up with his other senses (the buzz of electricity in his building, traffic, conversations of his neighbors, etc.)
I also feel like his taste in music changes depending on what he's doing
for example, if he's working on a court case, I feel like he would pick something like classical music or something instrumental so that there's background noise to soothe his already overstimulated mind, but no lyrics or anything to disrupt his train of thought/focus. think music you would hear playing quietly in a local coffee shop
however when he goes to fogwells, I think he definitely chooses music that will keep him amped up, probably some kind of high energy rock or hip hop with heavy bass and beats he might use to time his jabs at the punching bag
as for what his favorite kind of music in, honestly I think it varies
I could see him in the kitchen cooking with a glass of wine, playing something like frank sinatra, etta james, the temptations, sam cooke, etc. something soulful and a little jazzy that makes him feel relaxed, but also move around his kitchen with a pep in his step
something tells me jack was a classic rock guy, that's just the feeling I get from him. I think this is what matt listens to when he wants to feel close to his dad, or maybe like on sundays when he's cleaning and unwinding, trying to get ready for the week. maybe like the eagles, fleetwood mac, pink floyd, journey, led zeppelin, etc.
I think all of the newer music he listens to is definitely influenced primarily by foggy and karen
foggy nelson is a huge 80s guy. he knows EVERY hit from the 80s and will proudly sing them drunkenly at karaoke. given that he and matt lived together, and shared a broom closet at landman and zack together, and are essentially in a civil union for all intents and purposes, Matt knows a lot of 80s hits bc of foggy.
karen on the other hand is a 90s/early 2000s girly. she's definitely the reason matt suddenly realizes one day he knows all the lyrics to "baby one more time" by britney spears and was quietly humming along in his office while foggy was belting it in his. i'd like to think she plays "wannabe" by the spice girls at least once a week in their office and one night after a few drinks taught both of them the dance which she can only get them to perform after several rounds at josie's
I also think frank is a classic rock kinda guy (we know he likes bruce springsteen) and I have this adorable picture in my head of frank coming over to borrow vinyls from matt, and even adding a few of his own to matt's collection
all the grunge in his collection came from jess and no one can convince me otherwise (here's the angsty music I like to brood to, enjoy- jess)
given the fact that matt speaks spanish, i'd like to think that he enjoys reggaeton and maybe even tejano music (I like to think he's a selena fan, but that could be me projecting)
he's a swiftie. foggy and karen are swifties and successfully convereted matt into a swiftie, whether he likes to admit it or not. i said what i said (frank is next to be converted)
now i'm very curious to know what kinda music y'all think matty likes??

Achy Tummy
My stomach's been aching all day.
My stomach's been a little off all day. I woke up much earlier than planned, so I decided to cook myself breakfast instead of subjecting myself to a fast-food breakfast-sandwich yet again. Made and ate breakfast and then went off to work.
About an hour into my 6 hour shift, I noticed that my stomach was aching just a little bit. It wasn't enough to be a distraction, but it was enough for me to be aware that my stomach was hurting just a bit. I continued on with my shift as normal, snacking on some crackers I kept in my bag in hopes that maybe my stomach was just unsettled and needed a little something.
About 10 minutes until the end of a lunch-less shift, I originally planned on going home and eating dinner quickly--but a friend of mine asked me to stop by a shop for them 'cuz I was closer (even if it was out of my way to bus there instead of home). Committed to helping out my friend, I hopped the bus and got off to go to the shop rather than go home. While waiting at an intersection, I was again made aware of the ache in my belly telling me that it wasn't feeling too hot. I draped my jumbo-infinity scarf around myself--making it look more like an open-back 'tunic' or 'vest'--and used a hair-clip to buckle it closed over my abdomen area--hoping that the warmth from the scarf would ease the ache or at least give me some cover as I gave my stomach a few gentle rubs. The ache was much more prominent now than it was hours earlier.
I ran the errand for my friend, but because the bus wasn't set to come back for at least another 55 minutes, I decided I should probably grab myself a little dinner. A very small part of me was wary about the ache that sat like a rock in my tummy all day; but a bigger part of me was thinking that being hungry would make things worse. I'd been feeling a little hungry since 90 minutes until the end of my shift…and I could feel hunger gnawing at the parts of my insides that didn't have that weird achey-rock feeling.
I got myself a plain vermicelli thing from a fast-food-style Vietnamese place. Mostly vermicelli, lettuce, cucumbers, and carrots with a couple of pieces of spring roll tossed in there. Usually, I feel decently full after eating this thing (been to this place many times before). I finished my food and definitely felt full, but the ache was still griping even with the food. I'm usually not a very gassy person--I don't burp much or very easily…and certainly nothing big or loud--ever. When I burp, it's usually a barely noticeable one, just an extra breath or so of hot air rising and propelling itself upward. After eating this time though, I could feel my stomach clenching, forcing up tiny burp after burp--completely involuntary too. I sat back at the table for about 10 minutes after eating, massaging my stomach under the cover of my scarf as it convulsed painfully. I was full and the dense mass of 'ache' was still in there, fighting for room among the influx of solid food. As much as I wanted to continue massaging my poor tummy, the bus was going to arrive soon and the stop was about a 10 minute walk from where I was, so I got up and dragged myself to the stop, giving my belly some reassuring pats and rubs throughout the whole walk.
I made it home without too much incident…but my stomach is still sore and that dense ache is still stuck in my guts pretty badly. It's not an 'ate too much' ache or an 'I'm hungry' ache or even a 'Use the washroom quickly' kind of ache. It's been hurting all day and nothing I've done has made the ache go away any. It was barely noticeable in the morning, amped up a bit after work when I noticed that I was hungry too, stayed at that level after I finished eating, and has been fluctuating since I came home and finally allowed myself to sit/lounge.
Putting this out there "send me your best responses", though I don't know if this is a scenario others would like to respond to. I've been thinking the words "poor tummy" almost on loop all day. I don't vomit easily…but a part of me is currently craving some sadistic partner action--maybe someone that'll fill me up just a bit more and then give my stomach an unrelenting 'massage' until I finally force everything back up. I just really want this achy mass to get out of me…and the idea of someone else basically forcing it out of me sounds really tempting. Ooof…even as I write this, the ache in my belly is fluctuating. There were some really loud and wet gurgles earlier (despite me not having had many fluids today). Honestly, some of the noises sounded like retching--but it was all between my pelvis and ribs--no action in my esophagus and nothing coming up…I've heard of the phrase "threw up in my mouth a bit", but I wonder if there's an equivalent where my intestines "throw up" into my stomach-organ or something--'cuz that's what it feels and sounds like happened inside of my poor, churning, achy tummy.

I felt stimulated because I found plenty of abnormalities that I never knew existed, instead of the expected, calculated fare that did absolutely nothing for me.
90 minutes later, I took my short stack of CDs, placed them on the counter to be rung up, cashed out, and wrapped up what would be my first visit to The -Den. $82.00 later, I leave fucking satisfied.
With each visit after, I’d continue to score big victories where I’d find them. They were Portishead's phenominal second album, Phil Western’s debut album The Escapist, Dead Voices On Air's Piss Frond, Muslimgauze’s Hamas Arc, Mike & Rich’s Expert Knob Twiddlers, Aphex Twin’s Analogue Bubblebath 3, Merzbow’s Pulse Demon, and Sam & Valley.
*********
The final day of classes came; my favorite time of the Autumn semester. Not only because I had a one month reprieve from the nastiness, but all the students were giving back their books for cash. It was the last day of my first semester there. Bridget, the Irish redhead in English class whom I was interested in, smiled when I gave her my phone number. My friend Brandon was in the mood to drive us to Huntington's Tower Records right when I came home. There, I blew all that refund money I had on magazines and CDs. I was at the racks when I noticed someone cute standing at my left looking for reads; another Irish girl. She was taller with longer gingered hair, tighter jeans, and even paler skin than Bridget. We glanced and smiled at each other. That made my entire night and held on to that moment for as long as I could...
...long enough to run into her on campus a few semesters later. I was surprised. She happened to be close friends with Sandra the Jesus freak, who by then already established that we'd only be friends. Now she's pregnant. But, my interest in Cheryl had been renewed, hoping that my one-and-only roll would lie Sevens.

I sat on my bed with my guitar In my hands slowly giving it a tune, having to sit in utter silence to make sure I was tuning it correctly I listened carefully and slowly tightened it a little more, and a little more. when all of a sudden the string snapped hitting my fingers as it broke and sprung across the fretboard.
"aghhh! you little- fuck" I complained checking my hand over luckily I hadn't cut myself I sighed and took the broken string off throwing it away and opening my draw up looking for my spare strings, "Ohh damn it" I sighed not finding any at all. It's fine I needed some new picks anyway.
I hopped off my bed set the guitar on its stand, got my shoes on, headed down and grabbed my jacket on the way out the door. I walked into town doing my best not to get in anyone's way all the way to the little guitar store. I hurried inside the store seeing the wall covered in instruments of all types and styles, a few boxes of records in the centre and some amps cables and such like scattered about. I smiled as I saw at the counter stood a very sweet sight.
She stood, in her little black heels, skin-tight dark blue jeans that hugged her so perfectly, a blue and black horizontal striped button-down shirt tucked into her jeans a few buttons undone to expose her skin and her uhhh cleavage. her long curly hair in a half up half down style with curls so perfectly hair-sprayed they wouldn't move in a hurricane, a sculpted eyeliner sharp enough to cut you, and this deep blood red lipstick that matched her nails, as she sat on the little stool behind the counter sorting and pricing records from a box beside her.
"Hi y/n" I blushed fixing my hair a little she looked up and smiled a little in the corner of her mouth before returning to her work
"Hi, Paul. Haven't seen you in a few weeks"
"Yeah, I uhh I've been busy"
"I heard. A few of the girls caught you boys last Saturday"
"Oh?"
"Yeah they said you did good" she smiled
"Did you... happen to catch it?" I asked
"No. Sorry paul I had my lessons"
"Ohh it's okay"
"I will come to see you, boys, soon. I promise" she smiled taking the records she had now priced back to their box and walking past me giving my cheek a little kiss enough to make my knee's go weak and my heart race my cheeks heating up "so? what brings you to the shop today? surely you didn't come all this way just to check up on me"
"Well I like coming to see you" I smiled watching her file the records "But uhh My strings broke"
"again? you need to be careful." she laughs going behind the counter "Your usual?"
"Yes please"
"Course" she smiled grabbing me a pack of strings for my guitar "You play it too much that likely isn't helping" she laughs
"maybe"
"well you should take better care of it" she laughs "That's all?"
"Ohh no some more picks please y/n"
"having them snap again?" she asks
"Yeah,"
"I think you need to get thicker ones" she laughs getting me a pack of my usual ones
"I think you're trying to upsell me"
"they cost the same paul don't be rude"
"sorry. but I like my usual ones"
"Alright, when are you boys next playing?"
"Ohhh tomorrow night," I smiled handing her the money for the strings and picks
"I'll see if I can move my lesson around" she smiled putting it away and giving me the little receipt as always "See you around paul" she smiled
"See you y/n" I smiled hurrying out catching my breath the moment I was out of the shop.

💓💔 for the ask game <3
💓 BEATING HEART - what gets their heart racing?
valerie: small gestures. she's not big on PDA but if her girlfriend hooks their pinks together while they're walking or something val will absolutely melt. or if rogue gets her something that she mentioned once val will gay scream internally. "hey ro, why's there a bag from (insert music shop) on the counter?" "you said you needed new strings and a longer cord for your amp so i stopped and got you some." val texted vince immediately to brag and got a pic of him, johnny, and kerry watching horror movies in response. she cursed him out later
vincent: possessiveness. vinny is the opposite to val in terms of PDA. he loves when johnny or ker wrap their arms around him when hes talking to someone, or just randomly kiss him into stupidity.
💔 BROKEN HEART - what could their partner do that would absolutely break their heart?
val: maze understands that life can get busy and things happen, date nights need to get rescheduled. she gets it. but if one too many dates are missed or pushed back indefinitely she'll start to shut herself off, grow distant. if a long while passes before rogue notices it'll take even longer to get val to open back up
vinny: broken promises. vin's had his share of heartbreaks, it took him a while to fully open to kerry and johnny for exactly that reason. he tries to be understanding, knows sometimes they boys lose track of time, but if they had agreed to a movie night after a show then went bar hopping with the rest of Samurai instead he probably wouldn't sleep at the boys place for a while
