Week 11- Rekee

We decided to take multiple areas as part of the shoot locations, we decided on Dheeraj Gaurav Heights in andheri as the location for the open air shot, we used raghav's house as the location for the indoor studio vibed shots and also Oberoi Exquisite in goregoan's refugee room as the location for the balcony shots.

We also used BKC as our location for the car tracking shot and other locations in the area for the outdoor vibe.

The green box marks the spot we intended to use, this is a older satellite picture, right now the area is clean of cars and a turf structure had been built, which we were allowed to use as per permissions I received through personal contact and verbal confirmation from the building's management committee and manager.

Here we decided to shoot in the refugee flat, we were allowed to shoot here with permission from the building manager.

Here we decided to use the road during evening hours so we'd have lesser traffic and could take a car follow shot.

Here we wanted to take our studio setting shots in the building, it was inside of the flat and we had a go ahead from the flat owner, we marked the road side as our alternative location for the car follow shot, we kept it as backup due to poor lighting conditions and would use it in the case of being unable to shoot in the primary location, the advantage here was the lower traffic and it being closer to home.

We wished to use the cars as background for a few shots, but it didnt seem the most ethical thing to do as some car owners may not want their vehicles being background to our shoot.

The Gods are angered .. CoViD continues but the efforts are coming in and the graphs at some places are beginning to show some stability, though not completely out of the woods ..

Cyclone Tauktae in the Arabian Sea intensifies along the Western Coasts of India .. from the South moving up .. the effects of its arrival have begun here in Mumbai with rain as I write ..  the preparations for the monsoon rain sheds had just begun so the vulnerability of leaks , is there and the dealing with rain leakages about is a concern .. we try to make some make shift arrangements .. but they are weak and not entirely protective .. 

The severity of the monsoons as you all know is massive and all buildings and locations become most vulnerable during those 3-4 months of its presence ..

The JVPD Scheme is a low lying area and flooding is most imminent .. so ..

The word ‘tauktae’ .. the naming of storms cyclones typhoons et all are taken up and suggested by the countries in the region and this name has been given by Myanmar , erstwhile Burma , which is the name of a ‘vocal lizard’ ..

The work though on the care fronts continues and happily I was able to deliver the first lot of 10 ventilators to the desired locations .. the Municipal Corporation of the City , and 3 Hospitals and one clinic .. the balance 10 that I have ordered should be in in a few days and they too shall be distributed to care centres and Hospitals in dire need .. 

6 were sent to the BMC, under the request of its Commissioner Mr Iqbal Singh Chahal, who has done great innovative work in controlling the spread of the virus in the City, by bringing down the numbers .. the ventilators were asked to be directed to his Addl., Com., Mr Chore, who then directed it to ms Shashibala, the lady from the Comm., office looking after deliveries , who then directed us to send it to the Andheri Sports Complex to Mr Raju Palkar, who has received them and the distribution shall be under the discretion of BMC, looking at the various needs .. 

I shall be requesting the BMC to let me have a report on the delivery, the setting up and the functioning of these machines at the allocated locations, so we can keep a record of its proper usage ..

The other 4 have been delivered to Hospitals - Sion Hospital along with some accessories that they needed to help in the detection process in these times ; Nair Hospital ;  Kaleskar Hospital  and the Jewel Nursing Home .. 

This is no way a reflection or an indication , that these Hospitals do not have facilities of their own, they do, but in extenuating circumstances, such as what we are facing, every drop counts ..  

The first consignment of the 50 Oxygen Concentrators ordered and bought by me from Poland should be on a plane as I write, and shall be landing in Delhi by 6 am tomorrow morning, on the Polish Airline LOT .. flight WAW/DEL /LO 1071 .. these shall be cleared by the Gurudwara Committee where I have donated in the building of the 400 bed facility and which was inaugurated the other day .. 300 functional immediately and the balance 100 in due time .. and the O2 concentrators shall also be donated to this facility for their discretionary use.

These are the 10 litre concentrators, but research from my office informs me that the 5 litre ones are also acceptable and in greater demand .. so I have bought another 50 oxygen concentrators today of the 5 litre capacity, and hopefully they should be despatched to us in a few days .. these shall be distributed to the needy facilities in Mumbai ..

My gratitude and gracious thanks to several people in the fructification of this delivery - The Govt.of Poland, the Mayor of Wroclaw,   Mr Jacek Sutryk , the Indian Ambassador Mr Namgyal, and the Indian Consul Mr Johri for most generously helping in easing the logistics of transporting it over to India. 

The 25 bedded Care Centre that I had donated for to be put up in a School in Juhu is happily all ready .. the facilities are all in place .. and just today the relevant OC’s have beem obtained from the BMC and the Fire Brigade .. just one more permission is due to come tomorrow and with that the facility shall be ready to operate by Tuesday or Wednesday .. this is for the really needy and those that cannot afford the expenses required for their treatment ..  

...👆🏾 the 25 bedder facility .. beds , store room , numbering of beds in process .. all oxygen piping etc., all done .. 

And the Diagnostic Centre that I donated to for the Bangla Sahib Centre for the needy at free to very low affordable rates is all set and the MRI machine and some other ancillaries that I bought for them, all supplied and ready for operation ..

There is always a sense of satisfaction on seeing your efforts at giving to the needy .. to those in distress .. to them that have lost their jobs due to the non functional-ability of their work professions .. those on the daily wages .. those who’s production films have been stopped because no shootings are allowed .. those who had bet their last Rupee on the completion of a film or a web series they were working on and getting paid .. 

I give wherever I can .. my means are extremely limited .. it may not seem so , but they are .. somehow by the grace of the Almighty they come to me .. I have not made any effort to collect them through campaigns or donations to a cause that I may have instituted .. I just feel asking someone for funds is embarrassing for me .. yes there have been events in the past where the voice is for contributing, but I feel uncomfortable to ask , to contribute .. I may have partaken in the event as a voice over, but never directly asked to give or contribute .. and if there have been such unseen or unknown incidents then I seek forgiveness .. 

I have, not out of seeking praise, given descriptions of the work done this time, but just to assure all, of the delivery and the visuals of where the funds have been used and to what avail .. that they are not just blank promises .. 

There have been many such campaigns and events where the organisers have collected funds for most worthy causes .. and that is most laudable .. but with all due respect and modesty, at times the amount that I have personally individually donated, matches the funds collected out of the campaigns .. 

I did not ask .. I gave ..  

This has probably been a most un endearing post for the Blog .. and I do apologise for that .. for one that has ever promulgated a desire to be silent and do my work, I have crossed my own LOC - the Line of Control .. 

It has come about through incessant cries from many to SPEAK .. but speak is not the desired element according to me in these times .. and the less said on this the better ..

In late May, the Tiger 3 team had to pull down the elaborate set at SRPF Grounds in Goregaon, Mumbai, after it was partially damaged by Cyclone Tauktae. At the time, producer Aditya Chopra was against the idea of reconstructing the set — a replica of a busy Middle Eastern market — hoping that in the months to come, the team could instead fly down to the UAE and shoot the sequences at the original locations. Now, after a rethink, Chopra and director Maneesh Sharma have had the set rebuilt from the ground up so that Salman Khan can immerse himself again in the world of the big-budget spy thriller.   It is heard that the superstar reported to the Goregaon set earlier this week. “Since late September, Salman had been shooting for the film at the Yash Raj Studios in Andheri. The production design team was simultaneously rebuilding the set. It will serve as the backdrop for several heavy-duty action scenes where Salman’s RAW agent Avinash Singh Rathore aka Tiger and Katrina Kaif’s character Zoya Humaimi will take on the bad guys. On Monday, the director canned a bike chase sequence featuring Salman and the baddies,” reveals a trade source. 

Soon after completing the set-piece over two days, Khan left for Riyadh on Wednesday morning. The next few weeks will see him jump from one project to another. The source adds, “He flew out for Da-bangg: The Tour Reloaded show that is slated for December 10. He will fly back to the country on December 11, heading straight to the Bigg Boss sets for the Weekend Ka Vaar shoot. After that, Salman will resume filming of Tiger 3 from December 13 at the SRPF Grounds. The stint will go on till Christmas.”

Picnic places for little Mumbaikars

School children are always looking for a break, so called picnic. They are so stressed with the pressure of the studies that they hardly enjoy their childhood sometimes. Teachers and parents know that. They understand that these kids need some recreation at regular intervals so that they don’t get depressed. Therefore, schools organizes picnics camps and take children to some destination where they could live their childhood. Children play there, and this is also a wonderful way of learning if we are taking them to some historical or biological place.

Mumbai is wonderfully located in India. There are many picnic spots in and near Mumbai. It is a metro city, the financial capital of India so it makes sense to have some getaways in and around Mumbai for children. Let’s visit them.

Essel World and Water KIngdom: School children love playing in the water. The splash makes them laugh and laugh and laugh. They place water balls with each other. Enjoy the slides. Just sail using the inflated tubes and rain dance. Essel World and Water Kingdom are such great places. Essel World is a theme park located in Borivali West, Gorai, Mumbai. It was opened in the year 1986 and has been a child's favorite since then. They have a got a lot of rides for small, some thrill and adult rides are there as well. Sanjay Gandhi National Park: It was earlier known as Borivali National Park. It is located in the northern part of suburban Mumbai city. It is spread in a wide area of 104 km2 and is the largest national park in the world located in a metro city. The park is very rich in flora and fauna. It has Kadamba, teak, karanj, shisam, and species of acacia, red silk cotton and several flowers. Students love the Karvi plant that flowers just once in seven years. The wildlife is amazing in this park. Leopards, chitals, grey langur, pythons, cobras, lizards, four horned antelope could be sighted here. It’s a mesmerizing experience to see these creatures roam around you.

Karnala Bird Sanctuary: This sanctuary is located on the Mumbai-Pune highway just outside Mumbai and is a great picnic spot for schools. This bird sanctuary offers children a very close acquaintance with several bird species. One could witness a lot of bird varieties during the migrating season from October to April. Apart from bird children also see some other animals, including boar, langur, antelope etc.

Following the footsteps of Dharmendra’s two sons Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol, now next generations of Deol’s will be seen in movies too. Sunny Deol’s son Karan Deol is expected to debut in Bollywood soon. If you do not know the yet then we must tell you that Karan Deol will be debuting in Bollywood with Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas. There is interesting news for you also. Karan will be directed by his father Sunny Deol in his first movie. Shooting of the movie Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas has started from 18th May, 2017. The title of the movie is actually taken from one of the movies of Sunny Deol called Blackmail.

So, we have come to know that Karan has been traveling through Mumbai Metro in order to reach the shooting location. Karan is shooting at Andheri now for his movie. Shooting for the movie usually starts early in the morning and goes till late in the evening.

It is believed that the crew and cast have shot in sub zero temperature. Sahher Bamba is expected to play the female lead opposite Karan in the movie.
