I don’t know their situation, but, for example, if they’re still in school, maybe y’all could offer to help them with homework if they wanna text the problems or do a video call. If they’re doin’ research on a certain subject, maybe y’all could help n’ send along links y’all think might be helpful. Most everybody has at least one task in their life that’s gotta be done that don’t necessarily involve manual labor, so think about what kinda thinks y’all could do to help ‘em out, save some time, show you care!

Receivin’ gifts is pretty self explanatory— and don’t involve seein’ them in person! Which leaves us with quality time. The thing about long distance relationships is that they already require quality time t’be invested because it’s always gonna be a choice to call or text or communicate with them in any way since your paths don’t cross on the daily by happenstance. Makin’ sure to take time out to talk with them about anything at all still counts as nonverbal! Could bring up some of their favorite subjects so they can talk about somethin’ they’re excited about, y’all could get into the same subject with ‘em to have somethin’ else in common to bond over. Y’all can even watch movies n’ YouTube videos together long distance with some of the screen sharing apps and sites out there!
