And that's Community Day complete! I already had one shiny Sewaddle from Scarlet, but still encountered another one on my walk back.

Imo, it's kinda a mid shiny tho not as bad as Garchomp or Gengar, I feel like the others in its line have more unique colors with the teal-ish leaves on Sewaddle and body for Swadloon and bright green of Sewaddle's body, and shiny Leavanny looks a bit more wilty than regular Leavanny. (The teal leaves are just too pretty, I guess.)

Gonna be honest: the Leavanny line has some of the most atrocious Shinies I’ve ever seen.

And I love Leavanny! The whole line, in fact! But what were they thinking? Why didn’t they keep a consistent color palette for the Shiny forms like they do for the regular forms? Why is Shiny Sewaddle green but Shiny Leavanny is barely distinguishable from normal Leavanny? Why is Swadloon blue?

My cute hikkikomori leaf bug doesn’t deserve this disrespect. They did her so dirty.

#it somehow manages to do all the egregious mistakes of shinies in a single evolution line #sewaddle’s is *fine* I’d have been okay if they just kept it that palette #swadloon’s is bizarre why are its eyes red? why is it blue? why did the leaves change color?#and then Leavanny is like barely removed from the regular colors like ??? why???#you could’ve done so much with shiny Leavanny. brown leaves. autumn leaves. heck purple leaves!#(you ever see a purple tree before? the leaves are *dark* purplish red? that would look cool)

phase 1 for swadloon! took roughly 3,000-4,000 encounters, i'm unsure how many exactly as the number on the back of the trainer card counts double battles as 1 encounter (and the games froze a couple of times in the middle of hunting....😓). still nice to have a short hunt after how bad my luck in these gens has been outside of safari week

#shiny pokemon #shadow talks #the swadloon (if i get it) will be going on my indigo disk team along with the timburr and ducklett i already caught + a future golurk #with the last members being hearthflame ogerpon and either kingambit or zebstrika. depends #it'll probably come down to how long it takes me to get swadloon and golurk. since hunting full odds in sv is really fast lol
