I found a beautiful Japanese tea box at a thrift store and transformed it into one of my corvid boxes. A corvid box, because it's made by a Raven, but it's ment for anyone who enjoys curio treasures.

One of my biggest corvid boxes...

The bottom of the box has been decorated too. I thought I was basically finished with this piece, but how many matchboxes I needed. I need to make 6 more look like this:

Haven't decided if the other 6 matchbox sleaves will use sheet music or different paper...but I'm leaning towards variety...

Everything is ment to picked up and interacted with...

Shape, color, texture all play into the intention behind it's creation, and of course lots of shines...

I had a different arrangement and assort of items at first, but took everything out to decorate the interior of the tea box. I think my second arrangement came out even better. 🖤🍄🐛

I prefer my shines to be maximalist. whenever I start a new one, I gather items that I remind me of the Deity or I associate with Them to start it. At first I only use stuff I already have. I always include a space for offerings and a cup for libations. If there's an item I want specifically, such as a statue or associated item, I write it down on my phone and then keep an eye out for it when I go to farmers markets, antique stores, and the thrift. I've found that my shrines are a lot more personal when I let the item find me rather than searching for it online but that's a personal preference!

If my worship of a Deity is minor or situational, I'll usually just use temporary items that I keep around and draw a picture of Them as a votive. the items I keep on hand are candles, offering plates, and libation cups. sometimes I'll combine that shrine with an existing one if I feel the Deities will enjoy the company or if the situation calls on multiple Gods where I already have a shrine to one of them :)

my Aphrodite shrine has come a long way. It started with mostly personal items like childhood stuffed animals and pink things. It grew naturally as time went on as our relationship did. My piece of advice would be to add things that you think work well there and then leave room for it to grow. add things over time as you find them!
