Nabudol pa ng Gacha machine bago lumipad. Spent ¥1300 just to get Mimikyu. I got two Eevees so binigay ko ‘yung isa sa random Chinese kid na naglalaro din ng Gatcha. The smile on his face was so precious. The mom was very thankful as well. He asked me if I’m Japanese. Sabi ko by heart, yes. Lol.

Anyway, Imm writing this post while currently queued for check-in at KIX. Our check out from the hotel went smoothly. Train ride via JR’s Haruka from Shin-Imamiya to Tennōji and finally to Kansai Airport was fast AF. Hoping to go back with the tsundere waifu next time.

Beberapa hari ini terkenang mau cerita kisah seram beberapa tahun lalu. Waktu itu sih ndak terasa seram, rasanya lucu. Tapi beberapa hari ini rasanya ternyata hangat sekali.

Terlihat kan ini jam berapa?

Itulah kereta terakhir yang saya naiki, pada stasiun Shin Imamiya, Osaka. Waktu itu saya baru saja pulang dari mengantar kedua orang tua ke bandara. Mantab menggenggam hp untuk mencari arah rute ke Hotel yang akan saya tempati.

Setibanya di pintu keluar stasiun, saya dihampiri seorang Bapak yang menuntun sepeda. Apa ekspektasi kita dari percakapan seorang kakak kecapean yang ndak piawai bahasa jepang dan seorang bapak jepang yang ternyata agak mabuk? Dia tanya ke mana arah saya pergi. Saya sebutkan nama hotelnya seolah tiada ragu, padahal baru kali itu ke sana.

Dia bilang dia tau arah. Ah lagipula ini di Jepang, negara paling aman pikir saya. Jadi yaudalah, kami jalan kaki bersama. Pun sebenarnya tangan saya masih melihat petunjuk peta di hp. Salah satu isi pembicaraan kami adalah si Bapak yang punya pacar orang Indonesia dan pernah ke Bali 😅

Alhamdulillaaah, akhirnya tiba di hotel tujuan. Dan setelah tiba, si Bapak bilang, harus hati-hati. Ia heran bagaimana bisa saya terdampar di daerah seperti itu.

Hehe seperti itu gimana?

Ternyata itu adalah daerah yang banyak yakuza, dekat dengan red district, banyak gelandangan. Bahkan ternyata ini adalah kota yang dihapuskan dalam peta Jepang karena memiliki imej yang terlalu buruk bagi pemerintahnya.

😅😅😅😅

Saya ketawa-ketawa ndak enak. Kok ini ndak ada dalam review wilayahnya? Kok 2 teman yang merekomendasikan wilayah ini ndak bilang ke saya? Marahin ah besoknya 🤣. Awas aja kalau organ saya dijual kan sayang, yang ayuprissa ini cuma 1 cetakannya di dunia 🤣.

Ya begitulah masa muda, ringan-ringan aja mikirnya. Hampir 10 tahun setelahnya, saya kepikiran, itu saya ternyata... dijaga penuh dengan doa orang tua yang ridha abis saya antar ke bandara. Terlalu mustahil rasanya jika bukan karena kehendak Allah, seorang perempuan bingung di daerah tergelap di Jepang dibantu oleh bapak pemabuk pemilik karaoke. 😅

Dalam beragama, ada tingkatan-tingkatan pengabdiannya. Saya yang masih belum menikah, alhamdulillaah punya privilese doa dari orang tua. Nanti kalau Allah meridhai untuk nikah, ya bakal berubah lagi. Sungguh diberi keleluasaan beribadah sesuai dengan kondisi masing-masing ya. Ada nih saya ketemu di google pagi ini:

In Demand for the Reopening and Liberation of Airin General Center

 Over 50 residents residing at the site of Airin General Center (hereafter, Center) and the Solidarity Tent are in danger of eviction. This building is the day labor market (Airin Labor Welfare Center) of Nishinari Ward, Osaka City. At this location, construction day laborers and day labor agents, who are hired by respective corporations, meet to negotiate and make contracts at daybreak. The building also includes an employment security office, a medical center, and public housing on the upper floors.

The Solidarity Tent is a make-shift complex of shacks and a tent and it was constructed after the closure of the Center. It is a place where the day laborers, homeless people, local residents, and activists gather, hold meetings, organize events, and take part in cooperative cooking. While nowhere being as large in scale and multifaceted in its functions, the Solidarity tent nonetheless strives to provide at the very least a bare minimum of services and utilities that were once available in the Center.

There are toilets and water supply in the Center, as well as an entertainment room for shogi and a smoking room where day laborers can rest. Because the ceilings are high on the 1st and 2nd floors, many people would rest and sleep there during the daytime. People that have lost their jobs could go to this Center, where they could always meet others and converse to relieve some of their stress. This is the kind of place the Center was. Not only a place for people to relax but more importantly, a place to communicate with each other.

In March 2019, a temporary Labor Welfare Center was constructed beneath the elevated Nankai Electric Railway, which runs just in front of the Airin General Center. The reasons given were an alleged necessity for rebuilding the Center because of its deteriorated state and its questionable level of earthquake resistance. However, as of June 2020, although the Center is about to be dismantled, a sketch of the new Center has yet to be completed.

On March 31st, 2019, we protested as the Center was about to be closed. Workers even threw themselves under the shutters to stop them. Though unexpected, from that day onward we had occupied the building. During that time, many people from various places, such as Kyoto and Tokyo, and even from various cities and places worldwide came to provide support. Together with the people who live there, people who line up for their meals, people who clean, and people who participate in cooperative cooking we managed to transform the Center into a collective space. Through various projects such as movie screenings, live performances, briefing sessions, and cooperative cooking, we expressed that this is our place, like a home that we have collectively built through our blood, sweat, and tears. Among us were day laborers and homeless people, welfare recipients, those that are self-employed, students, activists, supporters, freeters (part-time laborers), and volunteers. The group was diverse in gender, age, affiliation, and context.

On April 24th, 2019, more than 300 state and Osaka prefecture personnel, policemen, and riot police officers were deployed without any notice or explanation, and we were forcefully expelled from the Center. Even if one tried to remain inside, we were carried away. Every one of us was apprehended and immobilized by 5 to 6 police officers and governmental personnel. Even when we called our friends in a rush and alerted them to the seriousness of the situation, the road in front of the Center was blocked and therefore no one could approach it. The bus of the Kamagasaki Joint Labor Unions, which was parked under the shutter in anticipation of eviction, had its brakes released and was removed by a tow truck. The now-closed shutter was welded to prevent any reopening. This was such a sudden event that the people residing inside did not even have enough time to carry out their belongings. We did not have enough time to grasp what had happened.

Within less than a month, a surveillance camera that had been installed to manage the parking lot of the temporary Labor Welfare Center was pointed at our Solidarity Tent. A rubber glove was put on the lens of the unjustifiable surveillance camera. The rubber glove was later removed by prefectural personnel, but it was soon replaced by a plastic bag from a supermarket. 4 people who were suspected of blocking the view from the camera were indicted. During the successful occupation in April 2019, one of our members was also arrested for interfering with the plastering of a notice about the "removal of luggage and advisory of evacuation ". Within a year, a total of 10 comrades have been arrested.

At the end of December 2019, Osaka Prefecture proceeded with juridical preparations for the expulsion of homeless people and their luggage from the Center’s vicinity. This includes the Solidarity Tent, which is the base for our cooperative cooking. The eviction notice ‘Order of Provisional Disposition Prohibiting the Transfer of Possession’ was issued in February 2020 and the bill was passed by the prefectural assembly in March. Even amid the COVID-19 crisis, lawsuits against the homeless people and our Solidarity Tent were being steadily prepared.

The main lawsuit began in September 2020, however, to be able to expel the homeless people without having to wait for the main lawsuit to conclude, Osaka Prefecture petitioned to the Osaka District Court in August for a "provisional disposition for the execution of evacuation". The prefectural government reasons that it needs the provisional disposition "to make it in time for the bidding for a demolition contractor", but there is actually no need to rush a project that does not even clearly have a vision for replacement in the first place.

The second hearing is scheduled for October, but if a provisional disposition order is given, the authorities could execute a forced eviction at any time. Expelling people from the Center area, where they have resided for a long time, during the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, without guaranteeing them an alternative place of residence, would amount to nothing less than a violation of human rights by the authorities. Osaka Prefecture should immediately withdraw both the main lawsuit and the petition for provisional disposition.

 In addition to appealing the unfairness of this eviction lawsuit, we have been submitting demands since April to Nishinari Ward, Osaka City, and the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications to provide the emergency benefit of 100,000 yen to those who do not have a fixed address. We have had many discussions with the authorities, we fought together with our Tokyo comrades during the negotiations with the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications. We have also participated in a collective sit-in against Osaka City with civic groups.

What exactly are the state, Osaka Prefecture and Osaka City, trying to achieve under fancy rhetoric, such as "Rebuilding the Center" and "Town Development"? Where would the people who live in the vicinity of the Center go if they were robbed of this place? We believe this is not only a problem for the people who sleep here but also a problem for ourselves, who oppose Kamagasaki’s gentrification. Kamagasaki, which has been said to be a city of day laborers and out-of-home workers, is becoming a tourist hub in recent years. Over the last 20 years, the flophouses have been transformed into cheap hotels for travelers, and there is a vast construction site, belonging to Hoshino Resort, behind JR Shin-Imamiya Station. This place, where the JR Line, the Hankai Line, the Nankai Line, the Midosuji Line, and the Sakaisuji Line intersect, was a place for people to live even if they were poor. But now they are being expelled and scattered while places, where they could live, are being reduced.

We will continue to demand and appeal for the reopening of the Center.

【緊急！】

大阪西成の労働福祉センターは、3月31日に閉鎖されようとしていましたが、多くの労働者、支援者が集まり今日まで閉鎖を阻止、24時間シャッター開放を勝ち取ってきました。今日、突然国と大阪府が何の告知もなく大挙してシャッターを閉めに来て、中にいた人々は四肢を抱えられ排除されたとのこと。

東京で五輪の名のもとに都市再開発、貧困者の排除が進められてきたように、大阪でも同じことが起ころうとしています。万博開催が決定し、その動きはますます加速するでしょう。日雇い労働者、野宿者など貧しい人々が肩を寄せ合う釜ヶ崎もまた、観光客や企業向けの街に作り替えられようとしています。西成労働福祉センター閉鎖はその象徴的な問題です。

反五輪の会も、西成のセンター開放闘争に連帯するため、先週、数日間滞在していました。100名近い野宿の人々が、それぞれ自分なりの場所に段ボールや毛布を敷いて寝泊まりしていました。普段なら皆、体を休めたり談笑したり将棋を打ったりして、のどかに過ぎて行く時間でした。

行政代執行や仮処分申請など法的手続きはなく、告知すらない中で、人々は排除されシャッターは閉められてしまいました。センターの中には、労働者の生活物資や貴重品などが多数残されています。この暴挙に対し、現地では今も抗議行動が続いています。現地に行ける人はぜひ。JRまたは南海新今宮駅降りてすぐです。

【Emergency!】

Forced eviction was occured at the Osaka Nishinari labor and welfare center with no notice. Osaka is also undergoing a redevelopment at the World Expo, just as Tokyo is in the Olympics. The Center is a symbol of the town.

The center was scheduled to close on March 31. Day labors, homeless ppl and activists opposed to it and continued to occupy. Today, the government officer made a sudden appearance, closing the shutters and driving people out. People's luggage and valuable remain inside of the center.

Although the shutter has been closed, people are still protesting. There is no due process of law nor even notice in this forced eviction.

L’ambiance est délirantes, des petites touches d’effets spéciaux augmentent cette touche humour :p j’ai pas lu le manga donc je peux pas trop dire si c’est mieux ou pas mais je me suis vraiment amusée a suivre cette histoire…. Les combats entre dortoirs donnent des défis bien marrant :p Je le conseille a tous quoi !!!!
