You may never know what will be Behind the next Door was all I could think of .

I never imagined that as simple as opening doors could become a heart-pounding, exhilarating nightmare. As soon as I saw the look of this 'hotel' I was overshadowed by a familiar wave of anxiety. There’s just something about creepy corridors and unexplainable noises that makes my heart race. Still, I reluctantly agreed to help shiloh and her siblings, determined to prove to myself that I could handle whatever this “ hotel” had in store for us.

“Okay, everyone we have done this before no harm in doing it again right ” Shiloh announced a fake smile on her face

"I never done this before " i said

"Oooh i actuallyforgot you were here Y/N just follow along and do what we do. ",shiloh responded her purple dress contrasting sharply with the dimly lit environment.

"Don't worry to much Y/N I'm great at this just follow me " I heard the calming voice of Mary my friend who I've had a crush for a while but I'm just little scared Y/N who could care about memy heart fluttered. Mary’s humor had always gotten a way to make me feel better “I can totally take on monsters! I bet i can take them all down right now ” she declared, her animated gestures adding a smile on my face

.Door 1 it looked pretty normal i guess there was a fireplace and a couch so you could tell it was a hotel not one id like to stay long though .As went further at like door 13 i think . the lights started to flicker "Oh-Oh um please tell me this hotel forgot to pay the lighting bills and everything is OK " I say in hope

“no no no that mean a scary monster is coming probably wanting to eat you!” Micah called

"Oh no no I d-don't wanna be e-eaten " i start sobbing

then i heard a load like screaming noise My heart pounded against my ribs, my breath quickened, and I instinctively froze, panic overwhelming me. A wave of dizziness washed over me, the room spinning. My mind raced with scenarios—what if one of those monsters got to me before I could escape? Desperate to find solace, "Y/N GO IN A CLOSET !" I hear mary shout at me

I darted toward a nearby closet, hoping that hiding would shield me from the horror. I pushed the door closed just as the fleeting shadows of something menacing raced past. I curled up, sinking into my own anxious mind. “Y/N you can come out now " eligah tells me

"Nope i aint leaving i feel safe right here "i tell them but then i get pushed out of the closet but Mary catches me blush appears on my face

But then a black shadow hand came out of the closet and smacked judah in the face it was pretty funny "Hey it was her who stayed there to long not me "judah complains

When we continued we found a room that was pitch dark oh how much I hated the dark . I held onto Mary's hand as we walked through we heard a little whisper and when we left the room there was a little preacher on judahs shoulder and it smacked him in the face "wow this place must really hate judah "I whisper to Mary and she starts laughing

There was a room that needed a key we searched the drawers to find it . There was a lot of gold in these drawers and judah was just taking it all anyway surprised i found the key and opened the door the little eye things appeared on the wall but i actuallywasnt scared "aww there kinda cute are they dangerous " i say pokeing the eyes

"we have no clue but I wouldn't touch them if I were you "eligah told me with a concerned look on his face

We got to a room with a long corridor yhen when we got near the end an inky monster with one eye emerged from the floor "OMGOMGWHATONEARTHISTHATTHING" i yell fast

" doesn't matter just run "shiloh yells ,and mary grabs my hand and we start running around going through doors jumping over closets and crouching under them but in the end we made it. "What was that thing "I ask out of breath

"Well I don't know what it called but in pretty sure it's called eyes " judah says confidently

"No eyes is the other one you know with the multiple eyes "micah corrects judah

"really?" Judah now looks confused We then hear a loud screaming sound but the ligjts didn’t flicker

"oh no "i hear shiloh say "it's the green one get in a closet now Y/N come go "

"Wait what is coming what green thing ?what do I do? is it the same as rush ? I wanted to a respond and to ask all my questions but the words got stuck in my throat, stifled by mounting anxiety. I had to breathe; I had to find a way to calm down—just like she always calmed me down. Instead, I felt myself slipping further into the overwhelming storm of dread. “Please Y/N” Mary pleaded softly, her voice wavering

. “I’m not going anywhere without you.” Her sincerity cut through the fog of anxiety that clouded my mind.Then, it happened. In an unexpected rush, the closet door slid open as Mary yanked it open, worry etched across her face. “Get in!” she instructed

, not waiting for my question and shoved me in the closet and ran to her own when we got out we had to go back in because it came again "when does that thing give up "I complain

then It finally ends Eventually, the monsters r left, searching . With trembling hands, we opened the door, stepping back out into the dimly lit hallway. It felt like we had just emerged from the depths of an abyss.We were at door 50 but it felt like we went through like 1,752 doors

this door looked like fancy kinda and when we went in there was some tall figure and it ran somewhere "ok we need to get the books to solve the code guiding light will help us " shiloh says

"What is that -that figure "I asked

Judah gasps "*gasp* guys let's call him ... figure " judah says "Huh eh it good right "

"Thats the most laziest name iv ever heard for a monster " eligha says

" i like the name " i speak up

anyway we got all the books shiloh d9ne the code and we got out of thay creepy library and when we left a door later there was a little shop "also Y/N a hint dont buy from this shop its a scam "judah whispers to me but evryone still heard

"JUDAH" EVERYONE yells "what you said give her tips " he answers in defence to be honest I have been picking up coins to I got about 565 "hey what's that cross thingy " I ask

"Oh that they eh say that it can banish a monster to who knows where "a little red goblin answered

"I'll take it " I say

"What Y/N it 500 coins not even i have that much " judah says

"well i do " i say felling cool

"oh and that's my Y/N " mary says i buy it and put it in my pocket we go threw another few doors and we have to do the whole running from the ink monster again but it felt longer well we got to a garden and the next few doors were pitch dark while walking mary step on some like spike on the ground but then we heard rush .

"Oh no mary what do we do " micah asked "Wait " I say and stand infront of mary

"Y/N what are you doing "shiloh asked "Hey you rush i hearby declare you banished to a-a dark relm of umm darkness and... dark dang it i said dark 3 times didnt... i wait a minute how does this cross work " I ask and i hold it out in my hand

"Told ya it's a scam " judah said but then when rush came the cross flew out of my hand and into the air chains wrapped around rush and pulled it into a Portal it was all glowing blue "OK that was the coolest thing I ever done I just banished a monster "I say my eyes wide

"aww thank you "mary yells and hugs me so tight that I fall over but her led still hurts .

after we finally survived and i was so happy i stayed over at shilohs house to help mary woth her leg “You saved me back there,” mary told me ,

her voice unsteady yet grateful. She blushed under my gaze; I took her hand. "Well you did save me first you didnt have to save me ya know.”

“I couldn’t just leave you,” she replied, her eyes sparkling with sincerity.

“I’m always going to be here for you.”With the weight of the world on my shoulders, a surge of courage pushed me forward.

“Can I tell you something?” I asked, barely containing the giddiness exploding in my chest.

“Anything,” she promised, her expression softening.I hesitated, then confessed, “I think I like you, Mary. Like… like you.”Her eyes widened. “I’ve liked you for ages, Y/N!”Without another word,

we leaned in, our lips brushing in a sweet, hesitant kiss—one that was the culmination of our fears and our feelings. With the haunting hotel behind us and a world of possibilities ahead, I finally felt alive.As we broke apart, I could hardly contain my smile.

“Maybe next time we face monsters together, we can do it in a less scary way?”“Agreed,” she laughed, squeezing my hand tightly as we walked out into the daylight, ready to face whatever life—or Roblox—threw at us next

She followed the others through the door and was surprised to find that her normal outfit had been switched with an old-fashioned blue-grey dress. She twisted in confusion but she found that she didn't mind the dress that much. She grinned as she got distracted and twirled again but was taken out of her slight trance by Lexi asking a question.

"Where are we?"

Y/N shrugged in response as Shiloh muttered to herself.

"No."

She tilted her head as she looked around and saw that Judah, Elijah, and Micah all looked the same as Shiloh, dread clear in each of their eyes. She and everyone else spun around at the sound of wallpaper and she gasped when she watched the door they came through disappear.

"Are we-?"

She began before she was interrupted by Shiloh screaming in frustration and running to the place where the door was.

"No!"

Her brows furrowed in concern as she walked to Shiloh.

"Shi, I'm sure it can't be that bad. Be positive!"

Shiloh shook her head.

"You don't get it."

She murmured as she turned around, the others copied her action as Elijah spoke.

"Not again."

Y/N turned around as well but she was the only one to walk forward. She raised a hand to trace the emblem on the door that said the number 1001. She studied it curiously as Judah spoke.

"Do we go through that door?"

Y/N nodded.

"It's our only way out of here, right?"

But Micah obviously thought the opposite as he immediately followed with "Heck no!"

"Our door disappeared behind this wall. We'll find a way to break through."

She frowned as the others scrambled for things to break it with but she walked to the wall. Raising a hand, she knocked on the wall and Judah paused to look at her in confusion.

"What? I'm checking to see if the wall is hollow. Which it is, and that means it can be broken easily!"

As she explained, Micah ran to them with two pieces of wood, he handed one to Judah and the two of them began to hit the wall with them. They then stopped as Elijah ran with a fire extinguisher.

"I found this!"

The trio all stepped out of the way as Elijah started to bang the extinguisher against the wood, to their delight it started to splinter and break the wood but he stopped as he saw what the outside was.

"It's a void." Y/N whispered.

"Guys. Is this place alive?" He asked no one in particular. Shiloh moved to the wall and voiced her theory.

"I think the hotel itself called us here." She turned around to face the others.

"Well, the hotel called us for a reason right? We gotta find out what that reason is and help it, and then we can go!"

She announced before a loud bang sounded behind them, everyone spun around in fear as a single wooden board fell and a door creaked open. "Ominous much." Y/N muttered and Judah couldn't help but smile despite the danger they could be in. "RUN!" Micah shouted and she did just that, she was slightly behind Judah as she dashed away from whatever was behind the door. She stopped running when Shiloh screamed Elijah. She ran back to Shiloh just in time to see Elijah dragged away from them by a black, gooey hand. Elijah simply screamed at Shiloh to run. Y/N grimaced as she grabbed Shiloh's hand and ignored her protests and dragged her away from the monster. Shiloh managed to slam the door shut and the two ran together hand in hand.

The two panted as they caught up with those who had continued running. They finally separated as Judah exclaimed, "What was that?!"

"Guys? Wh- Wha- What is this place?" Lexi stuttered.

"I'm gonna be honest, I totally forgot you were here." Micah remarked as he turned to Judah. Y/N rolled her eyes as the lights started flickering, Judah, Micah and Shiloh looked panicked as Judah took her hand and pulled her into a wardrobe, she saw Shiloh push Lexi into one and hide in one herself. She looked to Judah as she whispered to him. "Who is Rush?" He then whispered back. "I'm not exactly sure but he rushes through the hallways and takes anyone that isn't in a wardrobe." Y/N nodded in response and let out a quiet gasp as Rush ran past. Once it was gone, Judah opened the wardrobe and stumbled out while Y/n stepped out.

"If the hotel called us here, there must be something it wants us to do!" Shiloh exclaimed. "That's what I said! And where's Lexi? Is she still in the wardrobe?" She said as Micah ignored her and inquired Shiloh. "How are we supposed to know what a haunted hotel wants us to do?" Y/N frowned and turned to the wardrobe Lexi was in. She looked up in fear as the lights flickered again. "Is it Rush?"

"Nope! Morse Code!" Judah grinned. She nodded and turned around to Lexi's wardrobe. "Lexi?" She whispered to the wardrobe. She ignored the others conversation as she tried to coax Lexi out of her wardrobe. It was in vain until the others finally realized Lexi was gone, they moved to where Y/N and Lexi were and Judah stood close to Y/N for no reason except the comfort it gave both of them. It was at that moment, Lexi was thrown out of the wardrobe and a hand came out and slapped Judah. She gasped. "It was her in there too long!" Y/N rushed to Judah and touched his cheek. "Are you okay? Does it hurt?" She questioned and didn't notice the way he went quiet and how his cheeks were now dusted a light red.

- Time Skip -

"I think the hotel is the one who's blinking the lights to warn us about the monsters." Shiloh explained as they ventured through hallways. "Maybe that's why the monsters destroyed some lights on the floors, to stop them from doing that." Micah added. "There is nothing good about this place!" Judah exclaimed. Y/N smiled at him. "I'm sure there's something good about this place." They all paused as Judah turned and found a gold bar and some coins. "There is one good thing about this place!" He changed as he stuffed the money in his pockets. Y/N laughed and patted him on the shoulder. "See! I was right!" They walked to door 1005 and Shiloh sighed. "It's locked! Find the key!" She nodded as her and Judah went to the same bookshelf and searched the shelves for a key.

"Um, what happens to them after they get taken away?" Lexi questioned. Micah and Judah shared a glance and nodded to each other before Micah answered. "They get dragged away screaming and they're never heard from again." Then, Judah added. "They could have their souls sucked out."

"That is a possibility, I didn't think about that." Y/N glared and scolded the two of them. "Boys! What is wrong with you?" And she turned and took Lexi's hand with a comforting smile as she let Shiloh further scold them. Lexi gave a small smile back and Y/N squeezed her hand. As she turned to the others, she missed Judah's almost jealous glance. She directed Lexi through door 1005 as the duo followed behind. They then tried their best to comfort Lexi. He opened the door to find a gate. "Oh, wow, that's new."

"How do we get this open?"

"Find a way through the bars."

Everyone scrambled in different directions to find something useful. She paused and ran to Judah in concern as he shouted "Guys!" She followed him through a door to find a maze of barrels. They walked around the barrels. "Look for something to remove the bars." Shiloh reminded them. They split into two with Shiloh and Lexi going one way and Judah, Micah and Y/N going another. Micah and Y/N paused as they found a switch. Micah called for the others, they all ran to them. "There's a 50/50 chance this opens the bars or releases a monster." Y/N sighed is exasperation as she saw Lexi's terrified expression. "Lexi, pull the lever." Micah said. Y/N, Shiloh, Judah and Lexi turned to glare at him. Y/N sighed again as both her and Shiloh reached out and pulled the lever together. They heard the sound of a door opening and they all raced to the door. They ran through the door as the bars had been lifted. "Told you I know this place!" He exclaimed as they walked through another door and she could tell he immediately regretted it as they all heard a monster groan. "I know absolutely nothing about this place." He whispered. "Ya think?" Y/N hissed in reply. "What is that thing?" Shiloh told them to be quiet and they tiptoed forward and heard a loud creaking sound as Judah opened a drawer. The others quietly turned to glare at him but he ignored them and continued to open it in hopes for coins. Then they moved again and all successfully got past it without waking it up, Shiloh silently picked up the key and began to unlock the door. The key crackled and the monster woke up and sat up. She immediately ushered the others forward and shut the door behind her.

They paused for a minute and Micah relocked the door for extra security. They all walked forward as Micah ranted. "There are new door numbers, new places, new monsters. We don't know this place at all." She noticed the others staring at something and she followed their gaze to find explanations of some of the entities in some weird blue ink. "Notes on the monsters." Judah said. The lights then began to flicker as both herself and Shiloh exclaimed. "Rush!" Everyone scrambled for wardrobes and she found herself sharing a wardrobe with Judah again. Rush raced past and everyone went back to the blue ink and they were all disappointed when they saw that Rush had rubbed it all out. "No." Judah seemed surprisingly distraught and Y/N touched his arm with sympathy. "Rush destroyed them." Shiloh sighed and went through the drawers and grabbed some coins and a flashlight. Y/N found a gold bar and took it out and gave it to Judah. His eyes lit up and he grinned at. Y/N smiled back and she walked away to walk in step with Shiloh. "We have to keep moving." Y/N nodded in agreement.

They went through another door as Shiloh spoke almost to herself. "Why would Rush want to wipe off the notes?" Y/N shrugged as she heard Judah grabbing more coins. Shiloh and Y/N conversed quietly about some theories. They finally got to the next door, 1019, wait, Y/N paused as she thought to herself, didn't they just go through 1017? She blanked out the others conversation with the 'hotel owner' as she thought about it. Y/N then looked up with wide eyes and grabbed Micah and Judah by the back of their shirt collars and dragged them backwards and slammed the door shut. They glared and protested until Y/N spoke up. "That wasn't the hotel owner." She pointed to the sign that said 1019. "We were meant to go through 1018. Not 1019." Shiloh nodded. "Find door 1018!" They all did as she said and searched the hallway. "How do we know this one isn't cursed?" Judah questioned. "We don't!" Judah then opened the door and everyone went through.

"What was that?!" Judah exclaimed once they were safely through door 1018. "Not the hotel owner." Micah responded. "Clearly!" Y/N answered in slight irritation but she took a deep breath. "Guys?" Shiloh spoke. Y/N turned to Shiloh and hummed. She heard the sound and turned to see a black figure thing and a red goblin? Judah gasped in excitement and walked forward. "It's the shop!" They raced towards them and Judah spoke again. "I would like to buy information!"

"And I wish you'd buy a new face. Looks like both of us are going to be disappointed." The goblin cheered and Judah seemed mildly offended. Y/N crossed her arms and glared at the goblin. "Listen here you little-" Y/N started but Judah grabbed her hand before she could move forward and do anything. "Don't, it's not worth it." Judah spoke. "Yeah, listen to your boyfriend, chica." Both Y/N and Judah went red and muttered something lame about how they 'didn't like each other like that'.

"I'll give you 20 gold pieces for it." Micah bargained. Judah spun and glared at him before speaking. "Two gold pieces." Shiloh ignored them. "How do I get out?"

"Chica, you think if I had the answer to that I'd still be sitting here?" He replied. Y/N grumbled to herself as Judah said something about trying with Jeff. She ignored the rest of them and moved to the next door with curious intent. She studied the door as the others spoke to Jeff and the goblin. The others soon joined her and she opened the door. They all saw some weird blue cracks that covered the hallway they were in.

"Guys? Look." Judah said as he pointed upwards. They saw the light turned on whenever he pointed to the lights connected to the walls. Y/N sighed and walked away. They then went through another door.

"Are we sure whatever's in this rift thing is gonna help us do whatever the hotel wants us to do?" Micah questioned.

"Who put it there?" "The hotel owner?" Y/N guessed.

They went through another door. "Our best bet is the hotel brought us here to do something and it wants us on this path, so it's got to be connected."

"Maybe it's like a thorn in it's paw?" The lights began flickering and Micah exclaimed. "Rush!"

She noticed there were three wardrobes and she also noticed Shiloh was about to push the others in. Y/N frowned and pushed Shiloh into the wardrobe she should've shared with Judah and shut the door. She then scrambled to look for somewhere to hide. She ran into an extra room and shut the door behind her and rested her head on it and screwed her eyes shut. Her breathing got heavier as she wondered if the door was able to hold Rush off. Rush passed them and Y/N slid down the door with a gasp as she realized just how close Rush was to getting her. She heard Judah exclaim in sadness. "Rush got Y/N!" It was almost pitiful as Shiloh spoke. "She did it to save me." She murmured. Y/N finally found the strength to get up and open the door. She did so and found them looking.. sad? Why would they be sad for her? She was only Y/N. She walked to them and Judah rushed to her and threw his arms around her. She went red as she awkwardly patted him on the back. Shiloh cleared her throat and Judah scrambled away and coughed. "Uh- glad- glad you didn't die." He then sped walk away from them.

- Time Skip -

"I think we're getting close!" Shiloh called to them. Y/N walked beside her and paused when she saw Judah watching the cabinet. "Tim's in there." Was all the explanation he would give. Y/N tilted her head and opened the drawer. A small spider jumped out onto her hand. She grinned. "Well aren't you a cutie?" She spoke to the spider as she grabbed the coins for Judah and let the spider back in the drawer. She held them out and Judah took them gratefully. They walked and found another blue crack, but this time there was black goo dripping from it. She heard Shiloh shout "Don't open it!" She turned and followed them. She followed Judah and Micah to look at the door sign and found they were trying to convince themselves that they could read it. "It's nonsense." She spoke with a deadpan tone. The two of them yelled in relief. "I thought I couldn't read!" "I was stressing!" Y/N sighed and they all ran back to where Lexi was. "We have to figure out what door number we were on." Shiloh leaned in to hear something on the other side of door 1030. "It's breathing." She uttered out. "Not that door then!" She promptly turned and walked to the other door and opened. The others let out a breath of relief as they found it was a normal hallway. "We should call it dupety, poopity, stupidity." Micah said. "Or just Dupe?" Y/N added. Micah nodded. "Dupe for short!"

Everyone then walked into the hallway and Y/N shut the door behind her. Shiloh opened the next door and Lexi exclaimed. "A dark room?!" "It's gonna be fine." Y/N and Shiloh reassured at the same time. Judah and Micah joined them and Judah complained. "Awh! Dark rooms! These are the worst!" "There's always a hidden monster in there to get you when you least expect it!" Judah, Shiloh and Y/N all turned to glare and him and Y/N took Lexi's hand. "We'll stick together, then nothing can get you!" She comforted. Lexi nodded with a small smile. Judah then corrected himself and stepped in, put his arm in and took it out, and to their surprise there was a small monster on his arm. Judah screamed and the monster slapped him and giggled before jumping away. Y/N gasped and did the same thing, checking him over, and again, she missed the way his cheeks burned. But both of them missed the knowing glance Lexi, Micah and Shiloh shared. While checking him over, she still made sure her hand was connected with Lexi's.

They all walked in, Y/N had grabbed Judah's hand as well so she had Lexi on one side and Judah on the other. They all followed behind Shiloh, who had the torch. Once they walked into the next hallway, she let both Judah and Lexi's hands go and followed Shiloh and Lexi forward. Judah then screeched again and she turned around to hear him complain about how he's the only one getting slapped. They all walked to the next door which was door 1050. "It's door 50." Judah spoke as Shiloh opened it.

"Whoa! What is this?" Judah exclaimed. Y/N was about to respond before they heard a monster growl. She gasped as she saw the monster. "It's locked! Run!" Micah exclaimed before the monster got him and he disappeared in a cloud of smoke. "Micah!" She cried out. The others paused and Judah grabbed Y/N's wrist to get her to stay still. "Nobody, move." Shiloh whispered. "I don't think he can see us if we're holding still." Judah added. "He looks like he's guarding that door." Shiloh said. "What do we do?" Judah asked. "Move now!" They all did what Shiloh said and sped walked to the door. They paused as the monster turned before moving again once the monster moved. They did this process multiple times until they got to the door but Shiloh attempted to open it and it wouldn't. "It won't open." She whispered. Judah looked up and pointed. "It's probably that one. It's gotta be the last one."

"Guys. These doors don't have numbers." Lexi pointed out. Shiloh and Y/n's eyes widened as Shiloh confirmed it. "She's right." Shiloh then looked for an opening. Y/N found it and pointed. Shiloh voiced it for her. "That's the real way out." They all paused again when the monster turned to look at them but once it turned away they all walked as quickly as they could to the door. But before Judah could get to the door, the monster turned. Y/N gasped quietly. He slipped again and ran. "JUDAH! RUN TO US!" Y/N called to him.

They managed to all get past the door safely and once the door was shut, Judah sneezed. "I've been holding that in for like five minutes." He commented. They then all turned to see a glowing crack floating in the middle of the hallway. The four of them walked to it. Both Shiloh and Y/N held their hand out to touch it and Judah gasped in suspense. Shiloh grabbed a key but Y/N was just mesmerised by the glow. "What door does that open?" Shiloh smirked. "Let's find out."

They all ran through the hallways but when Judah paused to get some coins both Lexi and Y/N looked at him with a raised brow. Judah grimaced. "I might have a problem." Lexi rolled her eyes and ran away but Y/N stood and waited for him. Neither of them noticed the monster that appeared and then disappeared behind them. Shiloh opened the next and it was dark and foggy.

Shiloh switched the torch on and walked in with Lexi, Y/N and Judah close behind. They paused when the light from the torch landed on more black goo. But all of them were too focused on the goo to noticed the only board covering a room had fallen... but when the door creaked open they all spun around. Shiloh dropped the torch and in the commotion, Y/N started to panic but she shook her head at the sight of Lexi. Lexi was more important. She had to help Lexi. She grabbed Lexi's hand and dragged her to the next door where she met Shiloh but Judah wasn't there.

"Judah?" Y/N called. He stumbled out and Y/N slammed the door. She knew Shiloh had handled Lexi so she didn't try to comfort her. "We have to find where that key goes to, soon." They walked to the next door. "Locked. Find the key!" She nodded and followed Shiloh's command. She snapped up when she heard Judah's terrified scream. On instinct, she immediately ran to him. Adrenaline was pumping through her body as thoughts raced through her mind 100mph, she realized what the monster wanted as she grabbed Judah and dug into his pockets. She grabbed the gold and coins and threw them away, and sure enough the monster went straight for the coins. By then, Lexi and Shiloh had joined them. Once the adrenaline had worn off, she realized that she had grabbed him by the waist and was now hugging him. She coughed and scrambled away, her face red. She muttered an apology and ran into the next room.

She gasped and screamed once she was in there as she was face to face with a monster in a library. At her scream the other ran to her but before anything could happen, they heard a man shout "Figure! Come over here you rascal! Whose ever out there.. Run!!" They all did as he said and ran. They all hid behind a bookshelf. "Was that the hotel owner? The real one?" Lexi asked. "I think so." Shiloh breathed out. Though, when the monster growled they all flinched. "What about the key from the rift?" Judah's eyes widened. "It must unlock his door." Shiloh lifted the key. "Let's get to him." They all followed Shiloh through the shelves and whenever the monster came close they would would hide behind one of the bookcases. Once the monster finally left, they made a dash for the door. Once they got there, Shiloh tried to use the key to unlock the door but it wasn't the right key. "It doesn't unlock the door. Figure couldn't have trapped him. It had to have been something else." She paused and turned to look at the shelves. Y/N connected the pieces and spoke. "The key is in a book." "How do you know?" Lexi questioned. Y/N turned to Shiloh for an explanation. But Judah explained instead. "No, she's right. We've been in a room like this one before." He finished. "But, which book?" The four of them looked at the rows upon rows of bookcases. But, luckily, they didn't have to search as the man spoke from behind the door. "Key's on the shelf by the desk." They ran and hid as Figure had heard them and rushed to the door. "Lexi, Y/N, you keep an eye on the figure and Judah and I will keep an eye on you both. And then you can tell us when to avoid him." Lexi nodded. "I can do that." "Me too." Shiloh smiled.

"Good. Ready, Judah?" Judah nodded and he and Shiloh went one way while Y/N and Lexi went the other. The two stood by a bookcase and kept an eye on Figure. "He looks kinda cute." Y/N muttered. "In a weird, twisted, teddy bear way, but still cute." Lexi turned to her with a confused look but all Y/N did was shrug. Y/N saw them pause and she gave them the go ahead to move forward. Y/N gasped when it went to Shiloh but Shiloh ducked. She let out a sigh of relief as the figure walked away. They found the key and were about to step forward when Y/N stepped away from the bookcase and made a signal for them not to take another step. They hid and the monster walked past. Shiloh quickly ran forward and unlocked the door as they all ran through.

Y/N shut the door and turned to find a man stood in front of them. "It's you." Judah then cried out. "Wait! How do we know he's not dupe?" He then stepped closer to the man. "Blink." The man did so and blinked. "He's good." "What did the hotel call us here for?" The hotel owner looked confused. "Call you?" Judah gave a fake smile and clasped his hands together. "We mean, none of us wanted to come back here. It sucked us in for a reason and we're trying to figure out why, so it'll let us go." "Oh my. You were here, previously?" Y/N shook her head. "Those two were, me and Lex weren't." "Must have pulled the only other people it knew." Shiloh was confused. "What do you mean?" The hotel owner looked down and began to speak.

"Well, let me start at the beginning. At the turn of the war, I turned my hotel into an infirmary, to help make a difference. And when the darkness portal opened, I couldn't let all this out. I locked this place into another dimension. On that day, in my darkest hour, the hotel came to life. I spent years trying to lock up all the monsters. The hotel keeping them in rooms. A remarkable team we were. But there was one that I couldn't lock up. That key goes to his prison. But he pinned me in here before I could get him in it, I sense him in the walls. In the hotel itself, draining its energy. It's destroying the hotel to break out of here and get back to the world. If you came here previously, you must be the only other people that it knew after me. It must want you to lock up the monster that's destroying it."

Y/N listened intently but stopped when Judah spoke. "Couldn't it have called someone else? A cousin maybe?" "Where is he?" Shiloh asked. The hotel owner grimaced. "That's the problem. It's seeped into the hotel," He began as he turned and walked, the four of them followed. "but if you can get him to take his shape, he'll pull himself out of the hotel. "I'm guessing we have to make him mad to do that." Judah muttered. The hotel owner ignored him and continued to explain. "On the other side of this door is a chest. It holds a key that will open every door in the hotel. That will set him free if he gets it. I think if you open the chest, he'll take his form to come get it." Shiloh nodded. "What door number do we lock him into?" "1105." "That's 13 halls down." Judah spoke. The owner nodded. "Yes." Judah, Y/N and Shiloh walked forward but Lexi stayed put. "Careful. He's guarding the chest." The three of them shared a glance and Shiloh opened the door.

They stepped in and saw the room ahead of them. It was covered in the black goo. "We can't step on it." Y/N nodded. The three began their way down the hall. The fast one of them was Y/N, she had quite good balance and was able to step easily from clear space to clear space. She heard a quiet "Oh boy." from Judah and she turned to see Judah covered in the goo. Her eyes widened as she called out his name pitifully. The hotel owner called from the back of the room, where it was safe. "If you can get it to take shape, he'll be okay." Y/N nodded and turned, she was now determined, it took maybe a minute but she got the chest, she waited until Shiloh was next to her. "What do we do?" Shiloh turned to Y/N. "You have to do it. You're quicker and you're taller, which means longer legs. You have got to do it. For Judah?" Y/N nodded as Shiloh handed her the key to lock the monster up. She took it. "For Judah." She turned and opened the chest and on a whim she grabbed the key and slid it into Shiloh's pocket. Both Shiloh and Judah screamed "RUN!"

She snapped out of her trance and grabbed the chest and ran. She ran like her life depended on it and, well, it did. She ran, opening door after door. She jumped over fallen bookcases, and scrambled in between overturned cabinets. She ran and didn't look back. Not even a glance. She had to make this. It was all on her. She had to save the hotel and all her friends. She found the door and threw it open, chucking the empty chest inside. When the monster slid in, she slammed the door shut and used the key to lock the door.

After locking the door, she flipped around and rested her head on the door, panting heavily, she smiled. After maybe five minutes, she stumbled back to the others. She walked into the room to find the hotel owner, Lexi, Shiloh, Elijah, Micah and Judah waiting anxiously for her return. Upon her arrival, Judah let out a strangled laugh as he ran to her and embraced her tightly. She smiled softly and hugged him back. They stayed like that for a few minutes before Shiloh dragged him away and hugged her. "We thought you hadn't made it." She laughed. "Can't get rid of me that easily." Once Shiloh let go she grinned and threw her arms around both Elijah and Micah before flicking them both on their forehead. "Don't ever do that again!" They smiled and promised. Then, the others called them over. "We can go home." Y/N grinned and the others stepped away but the hotel owner stopped her. "That boy. The one in the orange. He likes you. And you like him. One thing I've learnt in this hotel is to take chances as you see them." He gave her a knowing smile and wink. She smiled and nodded. "I think it's something I've learned too." He smiled and let her go.

She stepped through and found she was still in the blue-grey dress. She shrugged as Judah walked over to her. He looked oddly nervous. "Hey, can I speak with you for a moment." Y/N smiled and nodded. "Of course." He took a deep breath as he confessed to her. "I uh- I like- like you." She smiled and kissed him on the cheek. "I like you too." He went red in the face as Y/N laughed. He took her hand as they walked to the others dancing. She smiled at him as they danced together and jumped hand in hand.

They had won and they were happy. <3
