And last of the Celtic ones: the Wulver, from the Shetland Islands of Scotland. Unlike a lot of the wolfman myths, Wulver is apparently benign, solitary and just wants to be left alone to fish - occasionally sharing his catch with local widows #HellaWieners

Take me back to the moors an' the rollin' green hills that lie in wake underneath a star filled sky, while we're surrounded by the heather an' the wildflowers all around us.
The days when everythin' was right an' there was no wrong that could be done, 'cause there was nothin' but love an' laughter that filled our hearts an' souls.
The pipes would sound loudly all through the glen an' the fyords come mornin'- an' there was always a wee bit o' fog in the distance that pull itself down across the land as it awoke to start it's day over the horizon.
Take me back to the lovely country that was once mine an' full of freedom in the streets of the best kinda people one city could hold.
My homeland is callin' ta me an' I will not rest my weary head, 'til I am safe within the arms of me beloved country called Scotland once again.
Hector Barclay - 1848

Shetland sheep and pony.
Also some really cool bronze age, iron age, pictish, and 17th century ruins at Jarlsof.

I love this weather. As do they. Lots of bucking and shenanigans in the fresh blanket of snow with the troll crew.

Don't recommend a lot of films, in part just because I don't watch many. But every once in a while, I come across one that's well worth it. This is, technically, a documentary, but it was lovingly thought-out and has a storyline like the best fictional dramas. (This is what the best of documentaries ought to be.)
If you've been feeling a bit beaten up by the news cycle, and wonder sometimes about this old world, I recommend sitting down with Billy and Molly (and Susan and Jade, the dog), plus a nice warm cup of tea. You'll sleep better that night.
The fact I adore otters made me give it a try, but even if you're not a big otter fan, this is an excellent piece.

The South Shetland Islands, in the same latitude as the southern half of Norway, possess only some lichens, moss, and a little grass; and Lieut. Kendall¹ found the bay, in which he was at anchor, beginning to freeze at a period corresponding with our 8th of September.
