Dans la nuit du 24 Mars 2006 dans le New-Hampshire, la police reçoit un appel étrange de Sheila LaBarre (47 ans), elle déclare que Kenneth Countie (24 ans) est un pédophile et leur fait écouter une cassette audio. L'homme gémissent et vomissant, dit qu'il est bien un pédophile. La police a des doutes car le 17 mars 2006, deux agents se sont rendus dans un magasin Walmart à la demande des employés inquiets du comportement de Sheila LaBarre envers Kenny Countie et de l'état physique de Kenny Countie. Ilsemblait avoir été battu mais déclara à la police aller bien. Celui-ci étant majeur la police ne pu rien faire d'autre que de les faire sortir du magasin.

Le 25 Mars 2006, quand la police va perquisitionnée, elle découvre Sheila LaBarre pleine de suie, elle déclare avoir brûlé un pédophile et que Kenny Countie est dans un sac. À L’extérieur de la ferme il y a un matelas brûlé avec des fragments humains qui s’avéreront être ceux de Kenny Countie.

Le 26 Mars 2006, la police trouve également des vêtements de Michael Deloge, une lame de couteau ensanglantée, des ossements et des dents humaines. Il y a des éclaboussures de sang dans la cuisine, le salon, la salle à manger, deux salles de bains et dans une baignoire. Michael Deloge (38 ans) a disparu à l'automne 2005, il était le petit-ami de Sheila LaBarre et vivait avec elle.

Le 2 Avril 2006, Sheila LaBarre est arrêtée pour assassinat au 1er degré, après avoir fuit pendant quelques jours.

La police pense que Kenny Countie a été tué le 21 mars.

A son procès en mai 2008, elle plaide non coupable pour cause d'aliénation mentale. Son avocat l'a décrite comme un «individu profondément malade». Les psychiatres ont témoigné qu'elle souffrait de trouble schizo-affectif et de trouble délirant.

Le 20 juin 2008, elle est reconnu coupable et est condamné à deux peines de prison à vie sans possibilité de libération conditionnelle.

Lors des fouilles en 2006, la police a retrouvé des fragments d'orteil qui n'appartiennent ni à Kenny Countie ni à Michael Deloge.

In 2008, Sheila LaBarre was found guilty of the violent murders of two of her former love interests, Michael Deloge and Kenneth Countie. She is currently serving a life sentence for first degree murder. A third former boyfriend, James Bracket, suffered abuse and believes he is fortunate to have escaped with his life. He drives a car with a New Hampshire license plate that reads, "ALIVE."
