Hehe, hoohoo my hdhd made me draw some silly little guys >:3c lmao i couldnt focus much last night and just drew whatever idea popped into my head first, which was was 12 year old Hassel, Brassius, and Larry. Some headcanons under the cut :)

Hassel

He is not a natural blond. Yeah he dyes his hair, no shame to it though. When he ran away at 15, that's when he starts to dye his hair. Sort of as a way to further separate himself from his old life. He would also experiment with strips of color, but as he got older he stuck with plain blond.

His starter was an Axew, who still serves on his team as a Haxorus. He's affectionately named him Siegfried. He's raised Siegfried since he was an egg, a tradition in his family. He also caught himself a Dratini with the help of Siegfried, which he named Ezra. Ezra remains on his team to this day, now fully evolved into a Dragonite.

Brassius

Pretransition Brassius wore so much baggy clothes at this age. Many, MANY hoodies. Cargo pants and jeans a size too big so he'd have a sag and would have to wear a belt too. Made him feel comfortable. He's lucky his mom was understanding enough to just assume he liked how loose it felt and not pester him into telling him the real reason. He would come out to his mom eventually, and she would support him every step of the way, but at this point he wasn't ready. He took on the gym challenge, but stopped half way due to getting way too focused on a sculpture...

The first pokemon he ever caught was at the age of nine, and it was a Sunkern. He never named her himself, but his mom called her Sunshine or Sunny often as a nickname. This Sunkern would grow into a Sunflora, who would unfortunately fall ill to a common illness amongst grass types and pass away during the worst slumps of Brassius' life, sending him deeper into a depressive art block. She became one of inspirations for Brassius' most viewed and well known art work, Surrendering Sunflora. Brassius would vow not to use another Sunflora, or Sunkern, on his team ever out of respect for his fallen friend.

Larry

If you asked any other trainer taking part in the Unovan gym challenge, they'd tell you they had no idea Larry was even taking part. He didn't exactly put too much effort into battling the gyms or passing trainers. He only really started the challenge to level up his then Staravia. Which he then thought would give them both a better advantage in playing baseball together. He ending up dropping the challenge all together after gym number five as at this point baseball season had started. It was his number one priority afterall. Later in life, he wouldn't revisit the challenge but he would battle passing trainers more.

His Staravia had been by his side since he was a Starly. He had just turned seven when his uncle gifted him the Starly after a business trip to Sinnoh. He wouldnt have a name until two years later is when Larry taught him the TM Swift; so his name is Swift. Very clever, very creative. Such a big brain this kid has. Everyone hand him the ribbon for most creative person on the planet.

Amy facts!!

I just finished writing her origin story!! But before I post that here's some little tidbits about her >:3c

~Her favourite bands are Get Scared and Evanescence!

~I associate her heavily with the song "in fact" by Gregory and the Hawk

~She has no memory of killing people, and when she does it she doesn't even recognize who she is hurting.

~After eliminating the original group of girls who tormented her, her vengeful spirit kill those who share the video of her suicide online.

~As a ghost she tends to wander forests and abandoned places. She blends into the background a lot of the time.

~If she was a more conscious ghost when it came to killing, she would have only gotten Camille.

~Her hair is naturally brown! She usually bleaches it blonde or dyes it black. Thus her hair was... really dead.

~Her hair was past her shoulders until two weeks before her death.

~She kinda wishes her name was Amnesia, and goes by that online.

~Her weapon of choice usually is the straight razor she used to... turn herself into a ghost.

Synthia is skinny, but with a bit of lean muscle thanks to cheerleading as a teen. Her long blonde hair is more or less the only thing she and her parents both genuinely liked about her style, but she does try a dip-dye of hot pink shortly after moving in with Kendall and Gia. A very high femme pillow princess aesthetic yfm

Gia is more or less what people picture when they think of a white non-binary person (at least according to what i see on social media). Kinda waify, a lot of colorful short sleeve button-ups, tons of thrifted clothes. Usually their hair is chopped into a pixie cut and if not their natural black it’s dyed some random ass color because it looked cool in the bottle

Kendall is the only one of the three with actual curves, and she likes being the thickest and the tallest. She tends more towards like, animal prints or more trendy stuff. She for sure shops the most out of the three of them. And she’s got 3C type hair which she can generally style however she wants

Introducing the player characters for Pokemon Plow and Circuit! And yes, there are three basic options available, the "girly" one that people taking my survey decided was their favorite, the "neutral" one, and the "boyish" one. And I gave the players the design elements and starter Pokemon based on what shared their placement in that survey: everything with girly placed first, everything with neutral placed second, and everything with boyish placed third. ...Okay so there were a few ties in there, but I settled them with coin flips hehe. So how do they look? If you wanna draw 'em yourselves sometime and make 'em look however you want I can throw the base ref atcha that shows the basic options, though feel free to get crazy with the hair and eye colors as I can imagine that the realm of salon dyes and colored contacts could lead those bits to some wild fun hehe :3

While the players' skin, hair, and eye color can be determined by the hypothetical player (and the hair and eye color can be changed later), these are the looks I'm going to personally stick with for any Cantessy drawings featuring the player going forward.

For storytelling purposes only, each of these player characters has a hypothetical "real" person behind them who made them look as close to themselves as possible. The girly character is Mira, and she chooses Chikret when playing Pokemon Plow. The neutral character is Briar, and they choose Calflame when playing Pokemon Circuit. And the boyish character is Jake, and while he will eventually choose Haymuth, he is currently more focused on other games and will play either Plow or Circuit when he can get both as he'd rather have the full experience. Wait, why am I so specific on which version the players pick? Weellllll...if ya know, ya know. If not, you'll find out :3c

So I’m gonna do my fandom (hetalia) ocs because I wanna talk about them more ((au stuff for a bit of context))

Washington DC

Human name: Diana Claire Jones

((I don’t have good drawn out ref so I’m gonna try to describe her appearance as best as I can)) She’s physically 18 and 4’9.5 (that five is very important), black with a 3c hair type, large round amber eyes, has a rectangular body type and fairly well proportioned. Her face and nose are also round and she has that type of mouth that seems to become large when she smiles in the best way possible. Hair is styled in a half up half down style with a silver clip to hold it back

Workaholic and is easily pushed around by her superiors (alfred)

She’s more of an introvert and is very socially awkward. Doesn’t really help that she has a resting bitch face and is somewhat seen as intimidating despite her small size

that being said she is never one to back down on what she believes in and is more than willing to call someone out on their bullshit

Completely turning gears she loves gogo

Like if she has headphones on theres a 99.9% chance she’s listening to it

Don’t mention the humidity or traffic, it puts her in a bad mood

Plays the congos and drums pretty well

Rearranges her vast book collection way too much to the point where she’s really the only person who knows where things are

Somehow always becomes the baby™️ of what ever friend group she’s somehow roped into no matter what

Has vitiligo with a larger patch on her left shoulder and a smaller patch on her left hairline ((she dyes it so she doesn’t look like she’s graying))

Copenhagen

Human name: Mette Køhler

Physical age: early twenties, 5’7 and built like a muscular stick, very nice legs due to biking everywhere, strawberry blonde hair that’s more on the blonder side and it is very long and healthy, azure eyes that are in a cat like shape, heart shaped face with sharp cheekbones and a long nose that’s crooked from being broken and not healing correctly and a larger mouth with thin lips. Her hair is usually styled in a high ponytail with messy bangs and a large bow.

She’s the calm big sister type due to having to deal with Denmark’s bullshit for the past centuries despite being younger than him both city wise and physically

Don’t cross her, she’s really scary when angry, luckily that doesn’t happen much except during chess matches

She doesn’t have a good filter so she’ll casually say something really inappropriate and see nothing wrong with it ((this mainly applies to her nightlife if you get what I’m saying))

Has a really good alcohol tolerance and is a pretty good drinking buddy

Is a really passionate poet and writer. She hosts a writing club and literary magazine and sometimes helps with local plays

That being said her calm bis sister vibe can completely shatter when she’s the boss of things. Like if everything doesn’t go her way prepare to be yelled at

Really good with time management, probably even schedules her mental breakdowns

West Berlin

Human name: Evelyn Beilschmidt

Physical age: 19, 5’6, hour glass body with a nice booty and thighs, she’s a natural brunette but bleaches her hair. Like DC it’s styled in a half up half down look but more messy and with darker roots. Triangular face with a large scar going across it starting from left to right. She has light green eyes and a king nose that’s kinda pointy.

She’s pretty lazy and hard to get along with

Has a hard time connecting with people and uses her (fake) arrogance to hide how lonely she really is

Really good at figure drawing and expressions. She also draws weird stuff she sees throughout the day

Comes up with really cursed ideas at the middle of the night, however it’s her sister who carries those plans through

Speaking of which she shares a room with her sister to money on rent

Any way, she has an ever growing collection of bear stuff ranging from mugs to a life sized teddy bear she keeps in her basement

She’s a hippie and has a weird fashion taste

East Berlin

Human name: Louis Beilschmidt

Physical age: 19, 5’3, stick body with no curves but has muscular arms. White hair that’s always messy no matter how many times she brushes it, same face shape as her sister but her scar goes from right to left and magenta eyes.

She’s hardworking and easy to get along with. The person you would go to rant about something.

Don’t talk to her before her morning coffee tho

Super good with technology and engineering. She’s the one that puts her sisters stupid plans into action

Used to personify Cölln, a city that had close economical ties with Berlin. The two became twin cities before becoming the capital of Brandenburg. When the two started to serve as the capital of Prussia Berlin and Cölln were formally unified as simply Berlin and Cölln the personification disappeared. She reappeared as east Berlin many years later with little memories of her formal life.

The only reason she’s still alive now is pure spite.

💇 What is your OC’s hairstyle? How do they maintain their hair? Do they wash it and/or cut it regularly? Have they ever dyed their hair?

Charlie keeps a short undercut, shaved down on the sides and just long enough on top to put in a tiny ponytail. A nice and easy style to upkeep on her own. Her hair is dyed blond constantly and pretty much no one knows she's actually a natural brunet!

Tvelle lets her naturally curly hair form into locs with some care from herself, once a month or so she does serious upkeep on them, but weekly there's smaller things to do as well. beyond that, she uses a loose hairband to keep it all out of her eyes during work and battles. She frequently dyes the tips various colors depending on what she feels like, gold is her favorite but she's gone with most colors you can think of. Whenever her hair's long enough to trim off the tips, it's time to choose another color~

👖 What type of clothing does your OC generally wear? Why? Do they have any “signature” accessories?

Roibird veers mostly to skirts and tshirts whenever he's not actively working in dangerous locations. The clothes stay mostly out of the way of his mobility aids and are easy enough to pull on even when his joints are stiff or he's feeling weary. For work he wears heavy duty leathers that fare about as well as armor would, with good heat resistance as well. He's got a few accessories but he's not a huge accessories kinda gal, sometimes he'll wear one but most of the time he won't!

Lance pretty much sticks to what the statue she was brought back in has carved into it lol, some simple armor of an acolyte of Dwayna. She'll sometimes put a shirt over her top, she's got some fun ones with funny designs that amuse her, but usually there's really noneed for clothing preferences. As for accessories though, whenever she happens across an old orrian bracelet or necklace that could fit her taller stature, she picks it right up. Especially if it's one she recognizes the long-passed family of. It's a nice way to remember those she and Fade miss from their original lives.

thinking about the foxes ethnicities, here’s my thoughts no one asked for-

renee in my head has always been very racially ambiguous, deep-tan skin & brown hair, it’s just been bleached so she always has a little root showing. you look at her & kinda just wonder, is she latina? mixed black&white? maybe some unspecified asian? idk. she doesn’t know, she didn’t know her father & it wasn’t something she really discussed with her mother & she doesn’t care to get one of those tests, she’s who she is & finding that out will change nothing.

allison is half white half vietnamese. idk why, but she is, her mom is vietnamese & she also dyes her hair lighter to assimilate more into whiteness for the high society life, which is why allison dyes it blonde. she never has roots showing. shes tall & filled out with muscles & always has beautiful radiant clear skin.

matt is half jamaican, half nigerian & hes dark skin with very dark, kind eyes. his mother was born and raised in jamaica & his father is a second generation nigerian. his “hair sticking up” are just twists. his scars on his arms arent as easy to see because of his skin color but he doesn’t care either way who sees them. he’s really tall & muscular & his smile goes crazy just cs i said so.

dan was, like renee, kinda in the dark about her ethnicity. she looked just black but she wanted to know more so she did one of those dna kits. she got that she’s actually half trini and then a whole slew of african countries & some random splashes of white in there leading her to believe it’s just african american. nothing much changed now that she knows, but she’s glad she does. shes brown skinned & has 3c hair.

nicky is, like we know, mexican & white. luther in my head has dark,  mediterranean features which lends to nickys darker coloring. i hc his mom as indigenous mexican specifically. he has thick brown-black hair & thick ass brows lol. he could grow a beard if he wanted to.

aaron&andrew are blond by chance. tilda also had a mediterranean look to her, greek or italian, & it made people look at her funny with this little blonde child in tow. they get really tan & freckled on their faces during the summer. they assume their father had some blond hair & pretty strong genes.

i always switch what i hc kevin as. wymack is a source of controversy in my head mostly. he’s not white for sure to me. i think he’s samoan in my head. & kayleigh was half japanese half irish so there’s that. he has tannish skin but gets super white during the summer lol. his mom looked like devin aoki in my head. he has silky, inky black hair.

oh, neil. i struggle with neil too. i can’t imagine him being black mostly because it would have made going from country to country much more difficult due to racism in western countries & it definitely would have impacted his story. however, idk if he’s just white. we know he LOOKS white. i think his mother was jewish in both ethnicity & religion (less religion cs mafia shit) but he doesn’t really look like her much, maybe in the cheeks & eye shape.

the eye: share a headcanon!

martin’s hair is naturally curly dark brown but he dies most of it golden blonde, deliberately leaving the roots visibly brown. he started doing this because he was going to dye his hair pink but he got nervous before putting the dye itself in and decided that the bleached look itself went off, and then kept it up. I think he finally gets around to putting pink in in the cabin interlude, though, esp if we’re going the “the lonely turned his hair white” route.

oh I sure hope georgie turns out to be important. she can’t feel fear, which should make her immune to the apocalypse, and she’s been touched by the end, which reeaalllly feels like it’s going to be a big deal. also she wasn’t here much last season and I miss her :(

martin: corruption. like the lonely, the corruption latches onto people who feel isolated, but unlike the lonely it soothes and satiates their feelings of loneliness instead of growing and harvesting them. I think if martin had had a wasp’s nest sing to him about how he could help and be loved by a bunch of worm friends he might’ve taken up the offer.

I really love how dynamic the characters are, and how the shifting in characterization is so easy to follow and understand that it never feels ooc. this is easiest to see with jon since, yknow, protagonist in 147 episodes, but I’m also Quite Fond of the structuring of martin, tim, melanie, daisy, and basira’s arcs.

dagur is a king! or chief? im still working out the world building and politics and all those boring details lmao. berserkers and outcasts are still tribes instead of kingdoms, but i have to muse on about the why’s and how’s there’s that difference. Anyway, chiefs are referred to as and treated as a kings by berk either way so

after the war the berserkers are left without land and they become pirates. they sometimes go into port on berk to trade& they’re just like,, kept an eye on. maybe some extra knights are brought out yknow. they don’t hold much of a threat tho

the real identity of dagur is unknown since the chiefs fought equal to their warriors unlike berk’s royalty (who in battle are kept towards the back with the knights and long-range bowmen, all decked out in fancy shiny armor, we’ve all seen fantasy). so berkians don’t have a visual record of who oswald’s son is other than the descriptor “burning bright hair” by a knight who was captive in the berserker camp.

oh wartime was pretty dark. but it’s been a decade since but berk has been prosperous and growing in wealth and it’s mostly happy and calm (until drago shows up but uhm,)

fishlegs has an entire tower of the castle as his own mansion basically. it’s full of beakers and herbs and crystals and tons, tons of books

it overlooks the royal gaming preserve and he likes to sip tea in the early morning and watch deer in the meadow

it’s also childproof (to keep out the king)

meatlug is here!! she’s a cute goblin that fits in his pocket. she’s a liderc familiar which is a type that cleans and is a little housemaid (she even has a little apron!)

hookfang is a regular fantasy-type dragon which makes him a Big Boy. he chills in the dungeon and hoards treasure

in this au she’s a cook! a very skilled cook who managed to win over the king’s picky taste buds

she started out as a tavern wench at the place snotlout sneaks off to to meet dagur in the dead of night.

when snotlout returned to the tavern as king announcing a cooking contest to find a replacement for the man he literally just fired the day after trying rosethorn’s food, she put two and two together. she isn’t dumb and magic tar-dye isn’t enough to glamore his identity if anyone is smart enough to look

(Oh right, king snotlout has blonde hair in case you didnt realize, haha )

when she’s moved into the castle, she’s taken a room with snotlout’s favorite pet, Yakety Yak Jorgenson

later she moves into an abandoned bedroom without snotlout knowing, and yakety follows her

there’s a whole b-plot which is the sisterhood of rosethorn and yakety yak

rose quickly wins the ‘favor’ of the king’s closest acquaintances, especially fishlegs. she’s practically part of the gang. except she’s a servant and doesn’t eat at the royal table.

she’s really allowed to do whatever she wants, and if she gets into trouble all she has to do is bake some of snotlout’s favorite cookies

which are raisin and macadamia nut.

WHAT? You dropped TG? Right when one of the recent chapters had an Urie/Saiko moment??? (like dude I totally understand your frustration but just, if you’re going to drop TG drop it after you read that scene- Saiko basically acknowledges that the CCG has turned into a slaughterhouse and she doesn’t want to be a part of it anymore (she says that if push comes to shove, she’ll become a terrorist and leave the CCG). Urie acts like he’s still a coldhearted jerk who only cares about the job and Saiko gets mad at him before running out of the house.

Urie goes to find her and they sit on swings at a playground together, apologizing and talking things over. Urie eventually says that if things don’t work out, they’ll just become terrorists (an echo of Saiko’s earlier words) and Saiko gives this really cute smile it’s just ughhh <3333)

OH Food Wars! I’ve heard of it ^^ I don’t like Echhi so I probably won’t watch it though (anime fanservice in general is something I don’t really like. Like, if it’s meant to be a pure fanservice series then that’s fine, I probably wouldn’t watch something like that in the first place- but when an anime/manga with a decent plot and interesting concepts decides to go and ruin all that with awkward panty shots and weird anatomy that’s just. not my thing lol).

Tatsuo is definitely a glorious bastard.

(I’m doodling him and Naomi a lot nowadays and no matter how I draw them you could never tell that they’re siblings. Naomi just looks like a sweet, average girl and Tatsuo looks like the lovechild of Greedling and Kimblee.

Yep, I’m on volume two now (or was it three?) and it’s darker than it looks…it’s fun, though! I started it for Hisoka but I’m liking the main characters way more than I thought I would. Gon and Leorio are probably my favorites (Gon=the MC, sweet little boy with amazing instincts. Leorio=one of Gon’s friends, pretends that he wants to become a ‘Hunter’ just for the money but it actually goes deeper than that: his friend was ill but Leorio didn’t have enough money to pay for his treatment and the friend died. Then Leorio decided to become a doctor so he could help people like his friend, but he realized that he needed even MORE money to complete all the necessary studying/training to become a doctor. That’s his real reason for wanting to become rich.).

I just finished Volume 26 of the manga! Only one more volume to go 0.0

Scar’s development is awesome. Everyone’s development is really good (and I don’t actually dislike anybody other than the obvious ones (AKA Father)!).

Yeah, I know I should appreciate how hard mangakas work to draw/write these mangas, but I did feel the tiniest bit disappointed…we waited a month for this. But maybe it’s because there are actually a lot of 'casual’ fans who don’t know about the 2CT and Yana need to confirm it (also Yana actually might not know how popular the 2CT is? And someone who doesn’t know the 2CT could totally think that Real Ciel is a clone or something).

The one new-ish thing that I learned from this chapter is that it’s getting harder to trust Tanaka XD

But yeah, the art improvement is amazing! Kuro had great detail from the very first chapter but now, I could just stare at some of the panels for hours.

True, true, if you used a transmutation circle like Roy’s glove to change the concentration of the air around the target, you could make it quite lethal. 

I can see him stumbling on to you playing the piano at some point and just staying silent, because he knows how easily nervous you get and he honestly loves how peaceful you are at that moment. Probably makes a subtle comment later, so he doesn’t fluster you too much.  And then a certain water alchemist comes and starts blabbering about random gibberish, coaxing you out of your shell and he happens to come into the room (totally not because someone told him to come) and is like ????? because at this point he was convinced you’re shy around everyone. From that day on, he makes it a point to try and get close to you.

Mei is adorable! Her perception of Ed in the beginning is one of the best parts of the whole show. Just, wow.

I still feel a bit disappointed =3= Well, I guess we’ll just have to wait until the next chapter.  And I’m definitely more weary of Tanaka now.  But I honestly hate how RC is treating OC like a child.
