Alright, Michelle. Let's hear your favorite Shamy headcanon(s). Cough 'em up!

Okay, okay, a bunch of these I think I've already talked about here in other posts or they've made their way into my fics, but here they are again in a nice handy list:

Amy's IQ is 2-3 points higher than Sheldon's. Sheldon does not know this.

Amy started writing her fanfiction while Sheldon was away on his train trip.

The brownie-flavored kiss Sheldon mentions to Leonard at the end of The Locomotive Manipulation is not the same kiss we see on the train earlier in the episode. They kissed more than once that weekend.

Sheldon secretly loves sharing a bed with Amy and he has a terrible time trying to sleep without her next to him. He will not admit this out loud.

Also Amy enjoys listening to Sheldon's sleep-talking once she gets used to it, especially when he has a dream about her (and extra especially if it ends up being naughty).

Despite what the Young Sheldon finale seems to imply, Sheldon was actually very sweet and attentive to Amy during her pregnancies, he only had a few slip-ups.

Sheldon and Amy are the godparents of Leonard and Penny's kid, and vice versa.

Leonard Cooper was conceived in Sheldon's spot.

Their daughter's name is Laura Elizabeth Cooper (Amy picked it).

i cherry pick. i don't acknowledge anything that happened after season 5 because i don't like shamy in any capacity. i tried to like it but i really feel it is a shitty relationship. i mean he was forced to like her and bribed with a dirty sock to go out with her and she forces herself on him and looks uncomfortable and need i go on? there are some other things in the show i don't agree with. they never acknowledge that sheldon is neurodivergent which he is so that was really shitty but it's my comfort show and sheldon is so loveable and my bb.

hes my bb boy and no one else can understand him the way that i can because we are very similar. i also watch too much big bang theory for my own good.

What if Sheldon and Amy didn't ever meet? How do you think Sheldon’s life would've turned out? Would he had won the Nobel?

Damn, that makes me really sad. But then again, if the Sheldon from that universe wasn't aware of Amy's existence (if he was aware of her existence, he'd probably just not give a shit), he wouldn't be aware of what he'd miss out on. He wouldn't even think that he missed out on anything.

Sheldon would definitely still be an ass, he wouldn't be nerfed, but he would probably be tolerable enough for his friends. Unless there comes a time where all his friends get fed up with his behavior and leave him. But that's really sad so I won't even bother with that one.

I think Sheldon's life would turn out very differently. Everyone in their friend group would find the partner they want to be with for the rest of their lives, and Sheldon would probably be, like, the only single person in their friend group that chooses to stay single.

I think Mary and Meemaw would be a bit concerned with his life but knowing how aloof Sheldon can be, they probably wouldn't force him to have what he doesn't want (you know how he is about being romance-repulsed and sex-repulsed). But if Sheldon does want to gift humanity some benign overlords, I'm not sure how I would want that to turn out without Amy in the equation. Because, come on, the only perfect person for Sheldon is Amy. I can't refute that.

Presumably, Sheldon would have more time to focus on his work. He'd still have time for all his interests, but he would most probably work a lot to reach the goal of getting the Nobel Prize.

Now, I think Sheldon would win the Nobel Prize in Physics. But maybe Sheldon would win it with Leonard, that's possible too.

In December 2016, the Israeli Students Association (ISA) at York University received numerous complaints from Israeli students at Ryerson University. The complaints concerned the social media use of Valentina Capurri — a contract lecturer at Ryerson’s Department of Geography & Environmental Studies.

After a thorough investigation, York’s ISA found that the lecturer had used her publicly-accessible Twitter page to spread antisemitism.

Capurri repeatedly used the antisemitic phrase “Zio,” which is a slur that has been popularized by David Duke and the American Klu Klux Klan. She called members of the public “zio-trolls,” and used pejoratives such as “zio-murderer” and “zio-fanatic” in her tweets.

Baroness Shami Chakrabarti, a human rights advocate and member of the British House of Lords, says that “Zio” is a “modern-day racist epithet” and “a term of abuse, pure and simple.” London Mayor Sadiq Khan, a Muslim, says that “the use of the word ‘Zio’ has become a racist term against Jewish people in the way ‘homo’ was used in the 60’s and 70’s.”

In her tweets, Capurri also makes xenophobic generalizations about Israelis, and shares links to infamous neo-Nazi websites. I know this is kind of already answered canonically, but I want your opinion on this:

Who do you think fell in love first, Sheldon or Amy? Follow-up, who do you think has the bigger crush on the other?

In Amy's vows, she states that she felt a connection in the coffee shop & that grew stronger. However, Sheldon's persistence on "She’s not my girlfriend", instead of letting it roll off, is a clear sign of a crush. Plus, he (I think?) asked her to be official couple first. He also proposed, went back to her after the break-up era, and engaged the coitus routine.

Of course, Amy had accepted all of that and then some. She still had feelings for him during the break-up. She also expressed her overall feelings earlier than Sheldon did, asking to move in with her and even kissing him first, etc.

So, what's my dearest friend's opinion?

This is a tough call.

It's true that Amy says in her vows she felt a connection to Sheldon from the first moment they met, but I think Sheldon felt it too and he felt it stronger. He went into that coffee shop fully believing that Howard and Raj were wrong and the entire meeting would be a failure, and yet he was the one who offered to buy Amy a beverage after exchanging a few words with her. He was expecting to meet a woman on the prowl, he never considered his match might also be in a similar situation as him, wary of relationships but nonetheless coerced into the date. When Amy stepped up to him with her multiple layers and direct speech, he was instantly smitten, he just didn't realize it.

Based off what we know of Amy's past and how often she faced rejection from her peers, I believe Sheldon was probably the one to suggest they should exchange contact information and he was probably the one initiating most of their conversations to start out. The four months they spent maintaining daily electronic communications likely helped Amy out a lot in feeling safe in her friendship with him and getting her to a point where she knows he accepts her and that she can trust him. But I think she was still cautious.

It's pretty clear in the beginning that Sheldon was more interested in Amy than she was with him. In addition to the above, he was also the one who invited her on that first date (the one Penny chaperoned) and he also started inviting her out to dinner with the guys, or over to the apartment for games. He invited her to that Brian Greene lecture and to see Indiana Jones with him (though she ditched him on that one). When they "broke up" he was the one going crazy and buying a bunch of cats, while she seemed to mostly take it in stride. When Amy expressed a sexual attraction to Zack, he was obviously jealous about it.

So I would say Sheldon had the bigger crush on her, but these feelings were so completely unexpected for him and he was so deep in denial about it, even after they became boyfriend and girlfriend he had trouble coming to terms with it.

And with Amy, I think her feelings were slower to build, but because she was better in tune with them and more accepting of them, she fell in love first. Or, at the very least, she recognized her feelings as love first. I think she started to realize it could be love as early as season 6 but probably didn't fully admit it to herself until season 7, whereas Sheldon I don't think considered that it could be love until the end of season 7. That's when he acknowledges that Amy loves him (though she hasn't said it yet), and I think a large portion of his train trip was spent mulling that over.

But again, because Sheldon was so resistant to all of this, I think you could also argue that he was in love first but refused to see it. Or maybe that it's all about equal, just expressed differently.

And I'll leave you with this very important excerpt from Jessica Radloff's Big Bang Theory book:
