#Shalria why are you like this

"Remember, the bonds of sisterhood can be tested; but never broken." The raven hair boldly proclaimed with her pinky finger up to the other.
Shalria stares at Layla's offered hand with an icy gaze, not moving a muscle. She notices how the older woman's smallest finger was extended, the digit crooked slightly as though offering to do something... but what? Holding hands? How uncouth. Her delicate feature twist into a pitying expression as she lifts her head up high, haughty as she was cold. "Are you offering me your finger? This custom seems so very... human." That was the trouble when one wasn't privileged enough to live within the Holy Land. Bonds of Sisterhood? Most unbecoming of a Celestial Dragon!

Lost and Found: A Pirate's Promise
These guys stay bickering lmfaoooo
A/N: We are back at it again with a Chapter 3!!! Yall writing this was so much fun, and you guys will find out why (wink, Wink). Our beloved Sanji really needs to confess his feelings to Y/N. Now chapter 4 is currently being written and will be posted tonight! That Chapter is going to be filled with angst! Like always the stories will be linked as well. So without further ado, here's Chapter 3.
Chapter 1, Chapter 2, Chapter 3 (Here),
Word Count: 5.3K
Sanji X Reader, OP x Reader,
Chapter 3: A Captain’s Resolve
Luffy comes rushing down the steps, eyes wide with concern. “Y/N, are you alright?” he asks, his voice laced with worry. “Sorry guys… I might’ve complicated things by punching that Celestial Dragon.”
You smirk, trying to shake off the pain. “I’m fine, Luffy. Don’t worry about me.”
Pappag waddles over, his little eyes wide in disbelief. “I can’t believe you took a bullet for Hatchi!”
Hatchi, who is now by your side, looks down, his expression filled with guilt. “I’m so sorry, Y/N. This is all my fault.”
You wave him off, trying to ease the tension. “It’s fine, Hatchi. We’ve got bigger problems to deal with. We need to figure out how to help Camie.”
Just then, Luffy’s gaze sharpens as he notices movement in the far corner. Guards are coming from all directions, ready to attack.
“We’ve got company,” Luffy warns, his voice turning serious.
One of the guards sneers, “What kind of idiot would risk their life to save a damn fish... and a girl?”
Luffy’s eyes narrow as he notices guards in the far corner, swarming in from all directions. Without hesitation, he springs into action. “Gum-Gum Whip!” he shouts, his leg stretching out and sweeping through the crowd of workers, sending them flying.
Zoro, with a smirk, unsheathes his swords. “Looks like I’m getting in on this too,” he says, slashing through the attackers with swift, precise movements.
You try to get up, frustration bubbling up inside you. “Damn it, if only I had my weapons…” you mutter, scanning the chaos around you.
Sanji notices your struggle and springs into action, kicking away anyone who dares come near you or Hatchi. “Don’t worry, I’ve got this covered,” he assures you, his eyes sharp and focused.
Nami, meanwhile, is sprinting down the stairs when she suddenly trips. But instead of panicking, she seizes the moment. “Thunder Tempo!” she shouts, releasing a burst of lightning that strikes the oncoming enemies, electrifying them.
“Nice shot, Nami!” you call out, impressed.
As the chaos unfolds, Saint Roswald, watching from a distance, begins to shake with anger, his eyes fixed on Charlos, who was left beaten and humiliated. Saint Shalria screams at the remaining guards, “Do something! Kill those pirates!”
As the chaos unfolds, Saint Roswald watches, his anger boiling over as he takes in the scene. “Why can’t you guys just accept your fate!” he roars, his face twisted in fury.
Luffy, still in the heat of battle, launches into another attack. “Gum-Gum Battle Axe!” he shouts, smashing through the guards with a powerful blow. He then turns, his gaze locking onto Saint Roswald. “Back down! My friends are not for sale,” Luffy declares, his voice full of resolve.
Saint Roswald recoils, taken aback by Luffy’s fierce determination. But before he can respond, Usopp, who had been above, suddenly falls from his perch and crashes directly onto Saint Roswald, knocking him out cold. “Oops… didn’t see that coming,” Usopp mutters, rubbing his head as he scrambles to his feet.
Luffy, turning around from the commotion, spots Usopp, Brook, and Robin making their way through the chaos. “Usopp, Brook, Robin! Glad you made it!” he exclaims with relief.
You look around and see the remaining members of the crew all together. Happiness fills you, knowing they’d all come through. Before you can shout out anything, a guard starts advancing toward you. “Get back here!” he growls, brandishing his weapon.
You quickly begin to slide backwards, narrowly evading each attack he throws at you. Using your good leg, you kick out and send him stumbling. “Come on, is that all you’ve got?” you taunt, trying to keep your footing and maintain distance.
Luffy, catching sight of the struggle, shouts over, “Usopp! Camie is still in the fish bowl, but we need to get rid of those collars first!”
Nami, glancing around nervously, adds, “We better hurry or the Navy might get here any second!”
At that moment, a voice with a chilling edge cuts through the noise. “It’s too late. They’re already here.”
Everyone freezes. Luffy, eyes narrowing, demands, “Who the hell are you, and what’s with the polar bear?”
Bepo, the bear, blushes slightly at the mention. You look up, your eyes widening. “No way… it’s…” you mutter in shock.
As the realization dawns, Robin finishes your thought with a calm certainty. “Trafalgar Law,” she says, her gaze steady. “Luffy, they’re pirates just like us.”
Luffy, glancing at the imposing figures around them, raises an eyebrow. “Even the bear?” he asks, pointing towards Bepo.
“Yeah,” Robin confirms. “The guy standing in the back is Eustass Captain Kidd.”
Brooke, always ready with a bit of trivia, chimes in. “You mean the one who has a higher bounty than Luffy?”
You mutter under your breath, your eyes widening in recognition. “So that’s Kidd?”
Trafalgar Law steps forward, his demeanor serious. “The Navy has had this place surrounded since before the auction even began,” he says, his gaze sweeping over the chaotic scene. “You’re not getting out of here easily.” He pauses, his expression softening just a fraction. “Not sure who they’re trying to capture, but I gotta say, I’m quite impressed. You put on a good show, Straw Hats.” The crew looks at each other with a look of worry.
Law's eyes then lock onto you, and his gaze feels almost palpable, sending a shiver down your spine. “Especially you, Y/N,” he says with a strange, unsettling intensity.
Before you can react, Law’s fingers move with precision. “Room,” he announces, and a blue orb envelops you.
Sanji’s voice cuts through the chaos. “What the hell?”
The orb expands and contracts, and with a quick “Shambles,” you find yourself teleported. You look around, disoriented, and see that Sanji is no longer next to you. Instead, Law stands before you, his gaze unyielding.
Sanji’s frustrated shout echoes in the distance. “You bastard! What did you do?”
Law ignores Sanji’s outburst, his focus entirely on you. You stand firm, meeting his gaze with a determined look. “What do you want from me?” you demand, trying to keep your voice steady.
As Law moves closer, he suddenly reaches out and places his hand lightly on your shoulder. The touch is unexpectedly gentle but electrifying, sending a rush of warmth through you. The proximity of his body and the intensity of his gaze make your heart race uncontrollably. It’s a calculated gesture, not just physical but also psychological, designed to unnerve you.
His fingers brush against your skin, and with a flick of his wrist, you feel a strange, tingling sensation that seems to emanate from the point of contact. This move is part of his Devil Fruit powers, creating a brief but intense link between you. The touch leaves you momentarily paralyzed, caught between confusion and a deep, unsettling awareness of his presence. His lips curl into a faint, enigmatic smile, adding to the effect.
Law continues to hold your gaze, you find yourself struggling to maintain composure, the blush on your cheeks betraying your internal turmoil. The combination of his touch, the intensity of his eyes, and his close proximity creates a powerful, disconcerting moment that leaves you shaken.
Brooke and Sanji, catching sight of what’s happening, prepare to intervene, their expressions tense and ready for action. But before they can act, you notice a figure approaching rapidly from the corner of your eye.
Without warning, you’re shoved into something hard, the impact leaving you dazed and momentarily stunned. You look up to see a shadowy figure standing over you, their features obscured. The suddenness of the collision leaves you reeling, struggling to regain your bearings as you try to assess the situation and find a way out. You begin to shake your head and, as you’re about to move away, hands grasp you firmly in place.
“You’re not going anywhere, doll,” the voice is laced with a menacing energy. Slowly, you turn around to see Eustass Captain Kidd, his eyes glinting with a predatory gaze.
Usopp, from across the chaos, yells out desperately, “Y/N! Snap out of it!”
You shake your head vigorously, trying to dispel the disorienting effects of Law’s earlier move. The power still lingers, making it hard to think clearly. "That’s some power," you mutter to yourself, trying to steady your nerves.
Kidd’s smirk widens as he holds you in place. “Struggling, are we? Not so easy to escape from me, doll.” He lowers his head, his breath warm against your ear as he whispers, his tone laced with menace and seduction. As his tongue traces a teasing path along your earlobe, you moan involuntarily, a shiver running down your spine. Kidd smirks triumphantly as he continues to hold you firmly.
You grit your teeth, struggling to free yourself from his grip. As you do, you notice Shalria, holding a gun trained on Camie. “Oh no, Camie!” you shout, panic rising in your voice. Everyone turns to assess the dire situation.
Nami’s voice cuts through the chaos. “We’ll never make it in time!”
Just as Shalria cocks her gun, she is immediately stunned along with the other guards, their bodies collapsing to the ground. “It’s the same power as before,” you recognize, feeling a surge of hope.
Seizing the opportunity, you kick Eustass hard, breaking free from his grasp. As you make your way down the stairs, your heart pounds in your chest. A loud explosion echoes nearby, causing you to stumble. You open your eyes to see the same man who had helped you with the explosive collars and the giant walking out of the smoke.
The old man looks at you with a knowing smile. “My, what do we have here?” he says, his voice carrying a sense of calm authority.
Luffy, breathless but relieved, steps forward. “Who are you?”
The old man bows slightly. “I’m Rayleigh, and I’ve been eagerly waiting to meet you, Monkey D. Luffy.”
You step forward, your eyes locked on Rayleigh. His warm smile reassures you. “Good to see you reunited with your crew,” Rayleigh says, turning to you. “Now, let’s get your mermaid friend free.”
He turns to Camie, who looks nervous. “Trust me and don’t flinch. I’m going to remove your collar.”
Pappag and Hatchi shout in unison, “No, don’t! It’ll explode!”
Tension grips the crew as they look on in worry, but both you and Luffy trust Rayleigh’s expertise. With one swift movement, Rayleigh removes Camie’s collar. The expected explosion happens, but it’s controlled and nothing more than a flash.
Franky emerges from the chaos, waving a set of keys. “Hey! I got the keys! What the hell happened here?”
He tosses your weapons toward you with a smirk. “And Y/N, I found your blades too.”
You catch them and feel a wave of relief. “Thanks, Franky!” you exclaim, examining your weapons. Your joy turns to disappointment as you notice one sword is damaged beyond repair.
“These bastards must have been toying with them,” you mutter, assessing the damage. “No worries. Once we get to Fishman Island, I’ll get a new one made.” For now, you have one good sword and two small blades.
Rayleigh’s presence has left Law and Kidd stunned. Law, his eyes widening slightly, says, “Rayleigh? I didn’t expect to see you here.”
Kidd, equally shocked, mutters, “That old man... he’s the Dark King?”
Rayleigh chuckles softly. “Indeed. Now, let's focus on getting everyone out of here.”
Franky, with a decisive gesture, throws the keys toward the remaining slaves. “If you want to escape, now’s your chance!” he calls out, his voice booming with authority. The keys scatter, the free slaves begin to unlock their collars and start rushing toward the exit, desperate to escape their tormentors.
Franky then grabs Camie and Pappag, making sure they’re safely with him. Rayleigh, ever composed, reaches for Hatchi, pulling him away from the chaos.
Suddenly, a loud voice booms through the auction house’s remains. “This is the Navy! We have this place surrounded, pirates! Step out and surrender!”
Luffy, brimming with determination, starts moving toward the exit, ready to face whatever the Navy has in store. However, Kidd and Law step up beside him, their faces set with equal resolve.
Kidd, with a confident smirk, steps forward. “I’ve got this,” he says firmly. “Law, Luffy, you two stay back. Let me handle the Navy.”
Law raises an eyebrow, his tone clipped. “Just stay out of my way.”
Luffy scowls. “You’re the last people I need to deal with right now.”
Nami, watching the bickering, shakes her head in disbelief. “Are all captains this childish, or is it just ours?”
You chuckle, your gaze shifting to Zoro, who’s smirking and readying his swords. “Looks like we’ve got ourselves a challenge,” you say, your excitement palpable.
Zoro’s grin widens. “You bet.”
Sanji grabs your wrist firmly, his usual flirtatious demeanor replaced by a deep concern. “Y/N, you’re still injured. I can’t.. lose you…
Sanji POV..
Grabbing Y/N wrist, I try to get her to understand my point of view. She just got out of an injury she is in no condition to fight. “Y/N, you’re still injured,” I said, my voice strained and trembling. “I can’t… lose you…
I look up and watch as her determined gaze meets mine, a fierce resolve in her eyes. “Sanji, I’ll be fine. I promise. I’ve got this.”
But that still wasn't enough, I'm scared something else might happen,“You don’t understand. You’re important to us… To me… If something happens to you... I don’t know what I’d do.” my hands tremble as I cling on to her, trying to steady myself.
Y/N’s touch on my cheek is warm, comforting, and for a moment, it eases the panic I felt inside. “Sanji, I promise I’ll be careful. Just trust me, okay? I need you to stay strong for the crew.”
Taking a shuddered breath, struggling to keep my emotions in check,I mentally say “Now’s your chance, tell her how you feel”. But instead I said “Alright, but if you get in trouble, I’m coming for you. I swear it." My voice is firm but laced with vulnerability.
You offered me a reassuring smile, and your fingers gently squeezed my hand. “I’ll be safe. And when this is all over, I’ll be right here with you.”
I nodded, my face etched with anxiety “Be careful, Y/N. Please.”
As you prepare to leave, Chopper approaches with a small vial in hand. “Hey, I’ve got something to help with the pain. It should last about 45 minutes.”
You take the vial with a grateful nod. “Thanks, Chopper. I’m going to need this.”
Y/N POV…
You take the vial with a grateful nod. “Thanks, Chopper. I’m going to need this.”
Opening the cap, you drink the liquid, and begin to feel a bit better. You move your injured leg to see if you can add weight to it.
Smirking you say “Ok, now i'm ready”
As you prepare to head out, Bepo, looking a bit nervous but determined, steps up. “I admire you, Y/N. I hope you can stay safe.”
You smile at the cute bear, touched by his words. “Thanks, Bepo. I’ll do my best.”
Bepo looks up at you with a mix of shyness and determination. “Y/N, can I... can I have your number? Just in case something happens, you know?
Penguin and Shachi exchange glances and shake their heads. “Bepo, what are you doing? What about Captain Law?”
Bepo lowers his head, clearly embarrassed. “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to make things awkward. I just... I really admire you.”
You smile warmly at Bepo, finding his nervousness endearing. “It’s okay, Bepo. I appreciate it. Here, you can have my number.”
Bepo’s face lights up with relief and gratitude. “Thank you, Y/N! I promise I’ll keep it safe.”
Giggling, you turn to Bepo with a playful smile. “I’ll see you out there, Bepo.”
You then glance at Penguin and Shachi, giving them a mischievous wink. “And as for your captain,” you say, looking them up and down with a grin, “I’ve got something special planned for him.” You give a final wink before turning on your heel, heading out with Zoro by your side.
Zoro smirks at you, his sword ready. “Looks like we’ve got some fun ahead.”
You grin back, feeling the adrenaline rush. “You bet. Let’s show them what we’ve got.”
Outside the Auction house….
As you and Zoro head out, the battlefield’s chaos unfolds before you. The clash of steel and the shouts of combat fill the air. Just as you’re about to engage, you notice someone standing nearby. Without turning to face him, you smirk and call out, “Nice of you to stop by, Killer.”
Killer, his mask revealing only his intense eyes, looks at you. “Didn’t think I’d miss this,” he replies, his voice muffled but serious. His grip tightens on his weapon, ready for action.
The first cannon shot is fired, but Luffy quickly reacts with his Gum-Gum Balloon, deflecting the blast and sending it crashing into a group of navy soldiers. “Gum-Gum Balloon!” Luffy yells, grinning as he lands among the enemies, his infectious enthusiasm lighting up the scene.
You watch in awe as Kidd’s powers come into play, metal bending and twisting around him. The sheer force of his abilities is captivating. You can’t help but feel curiosity. "What’s it like to wield such raw power?" you wonder silently, watching him with a mix of admiration and intrigue.
Law’s powers are equally impressive. You’ve seen him use his “Room” ability before, but witnessing the precision and control up close is something else entirely. The way he manipulates space with a flick of his fingers is mesmerizing. You can only imagine the extent of his abilities.
Zoro and you both shout, “Luffy!” in unison. Luffy turns, his face lighting up with his trademark grin. “Hey guys!” he responds, clearly thrilled to see you both in action.
As the battle rages on, Kidd’s voice cuts through the chaos, calling out, “Nice moves, doll!” The term stings, and you see Law’s expression darken. He turns to Eustass with a snarl, “Don’t you dare call her that. She’s not some object to be tossed around!”
Luffy, charging in with a determined look, adds, “Yeah, she’s not just a doll. She’s my crewmate!”
Killer, on the other hand tries to advance, his eyes locked on you with an intent that suggests he’s about to flirt, even amidst the fight. Before he can make his move, you spot a cannonball hurtling towards him. Without hesitation, you leap into action.
With a swift, acrobatic maneuver, you land on top of Killer, your legs securely around his waist. The cannonball explodes harmlessly in the distance, sending debris flying. You find yourself in a striking position, your eyes meeting Killer's with a playful smirk.
Killer’s eyes widen in surprise as you land securely, your position giving you the upper hand. You sense a faint blush behind his mask. Your gaze briefly meets Kidd’s and Law’s, then you lower it back to Killer.
Leaning in close, your lips brush just above Killer’s ear as you whisper, your voice low and sultry, “It’s a shame there’s such an audience, don’t you think? I rather enjoy having you beneath me like this.” You press your body closer, your breath hot against his skin as you continue, “Tell me, Killer… wouldn’t you agree that this position suits us perfectly?”
Your words drip with dominance, each syllable meant to tease and unnerve. You feel the slight shiver that runs through him, the tension in his muscles betraying the effect you’re having. The power dynamic is unmistakable—you’re in control, and you both know it.
Killer’s breath hitches, the playful glint in your eyes doesn’t go unnoticed as you hold his gaze, letting the weight of your words linger.
You lean in even closer, your lips just grazing the edge of his mask as you purr, “Too bad we’re not alone… I could show you just how much I enjoy this.”
Your teasing smile widens as you feel him tense beneath you, your words clearly hitting their mark. From the corner of your eye, you catch Zoro’s knowing smirk, fully aware that you’re playing a dangerous, thrilling game, and you’re winning.
Sanji, who’s been watching the entire exchange, can’t hide his irritation. He’s seen this trick before—you’ve pulled it on him more than once. His eyes narrow, burning holes into Killer as he watches him pinned to the ground beneath you. With a frustrated sigh, Sanji pulls out a cigarette, lighting it with a flick of his lighter. “Does she really have to do all that?” he mutters under his breath, unable to tear his gaze away.
Robin, catching his reaction, smirks and leans in slightly. “Is someone jealous?” she teases, her voice soft but laced with amusement.
Sanji grumbles, taking a drag from his cigarette. “Yeah, yeah… Let’s just get out of here so we can make our quick escape.”
As you glance up, you see your crew making a swift exit toward Grove 13. “Perfect,” you think, watching them disappear into the distance. They’re making their move, just as planned.
Kidd, who has been silently observing the entire interaction, feels a surge of possessiveness boil up inside him. His eyes narrow dangerously as he lashes out at Killer, his voice sharp and accusatory. “What the hell are you doing, Killer? We’re in the middle of a fight, and you’re letting yourself get distracted?”
Killer, now pulled out of his daze, looks up at his captain, realizing the predicament he’s in. “Captain, I can explain—” He hesitates, his usual calm demeanor shaken. “I think… I might be in love.”
The absurdity of his confession hangs in the air for a moment, and you can’t help but chuckle softly. With a fluid motion, you gracefully rise from your position, leaving Killer lying there, flustered and bewildered. You cast a final, teasing glance his way before turning back toward Zoro.
Zoro, still grinning, shakes his head as you approach. “You sure know how to stir things up,” he comments, his tone admiring.
You shrug playfully, adjusting your grip on your blade. “Just keeping things interesting. Now, where were we?”
Luffy, still laughing at the scene he just witnessed, dodges effortlessly as the Navy soldiers fire cannonball after cannonball at him. He weaves through the explosions with ease, grinning as if this were nothing more than a game. The Navy soldiers, growing increasingly desperate, switch to firing bullets. Zoro and you move in sync, your blades flashing as they deflect the incoming rounds, the sharp clang of steel on metal ringing out.
In the midst of the chaos, you notice a Navy soldier charging toward you, blade drawn. With a swift move, you sidestep, slashing through the soldier’s defenses with precision. But then, out of the corner of your eye, you catch sight of another threat—a soldier poised to strike Law from behind.
Without a second thought, you shout to Zoro, “Cover me!”
“What?” Zoro mumbles, momentarily confused by your sudden request.
“Just do it!” you yell as you sprint toward Law, determined to intercept the attack. Your heart pounds as you close the distance, ready to strike the soldier down before he can harm Law.
But just as you’re about to make contact, Law glances at you, his eyes sharp with concentration. With a swift gesture, he uses his ability, switching your body with the soldier’s in an instant. You barely have time to register the change before you find yourself tumbling forward, only to land squarely on Law’s chest.
Law’s arm wraps around you instinctively, holding you close as you both catch your breath. His usual cool demeanor cracks slightly as he looks down at you, his expression somewhere between annoyance and amusement. “You really need to watch where you’re going,” he mutters, his voice low.
You smirk up at him, your face inches from his. “I had it under control. But thanks for the save”
Before Law can respond, Bepo comes bounding down the steps, followed closely by Penguin and Shachi. The sight of you lying on Law’s chest doesn’t escape their notice.
“Captain, looks like you’ve caught something interesting,” Bepo teases, his voice a mix of admiration and embarrassment.
Penguin snickers, nudging Shachi. “Hey, Shachi, think the captain’s finally met his match?”
Shachi grins, adding, “Or maybe he’s just found a new way to ‘switch’ things up.”
Law’s grip on you tightens slightly, his eyes narrowing at his crewmates. “That’s enough out of you three,” he snaps, though there’s a faint blush creeping up his neck.
You can’t help but laugh at the banter, the tension of the battle momentarily lifted by the playful exchange. “Careful, Law,” you whisper teasingly, “wouldn’t want your crew to get the wrong idea.”
As Law helps you to your feet, you take a moment to brush yourself off, your eyes lingering on his for just a second longer than necessary. A playful glint sparkles in your gaze as you step closer to him, close enough that you can feel the warmth radiating from his body.
“Thanks for the assist, Law,” you purr, your voice dripping with flirtation. Before he can react, you lean in and press a quick, soft kiss to his cheek, leaving a faint blush on his usually stoic face.
Law freezes for a moment, clearly caught off guard, his cool demeanor slipping. “What was that for?” he mutters, his voice a little rougher than usual as he tries to regain his composure.
You smirk, stepping back with a teasing grin. “Consider it a thank you. You know, for keeping me from getting skewered.” Your tone is light, but there’s a sultry edge to your words that leaves Law momentarily speechless.
Bepo, Penguin, and Shachi, having witnessed the whole thing, burst into laughter, unable to resist adding their two cents.
“Oh, Captain, you’re really moving up in the world,” Penguin teases, his grin wide.
Shachi chuckles, nudging Bepo. “Guess our captain’s got some charm after all.”
Law’s face darkens as he glares at his crewmates, though the blush on his cheeks betrays his usual composure. “You all really don’t know when to quit, do you?” he grumbles, clearly flustered.
You can’t help but laugh, thoroughly enjoying the effect you’ve had on the normally unflappable surgeon. “Don’t worry, Law. I’ll be around if you need another ‘thank you’ later,” you say with a wink, your voice teasing.
As Luffy’s voice echoes outside the auction house, you feel the weight of the battle and the urgency in his call. “Hey Zoro, Y/N! Let’s head out! The coast looks clear! Right!” Luffy’s voice is full of determination, but before you can make a dash for it, a marine manages to grab you from behind, pulling you down with a strong grip.
You struggle against him, adrenaline coursing through your veins. “Luffy, don’t worry! I’ll stay for a few more minutes! You guys go ahead!” you shout, trying to keep your voice steady despite the situation. “I’ll yell out when you pull me, got it, Luffy?”
Luffy hesitates, his wide eyes full of worry. “I can’t leave you!” he yells back, torn between his loyalty and the need to keep moving.
“Just do it! Trust me!” you command, grabbing the marine by his uniform and slamming him to the ground with a forceful move. “Go now!”
Luffy grits his teeth, torn but knowing he has to trust you. With a reluctant nod, he dashes off, joining Zoro as they make their escape. It’s not long before Luffy catches up with Sanji’s group, but the tension is palpable.
Sanji’s eyes darted around, his heart pounding with anxiety. “Luffy, why is Y/N staying behind?!”
“She’s only staying for a few minutes, but she’ll signal me when it’s time,” Luffy explains, his voice tight with worry. “Damn it!” Sanji curses under his breath, his fists clenching in frustration. He can’t stand the thought of you in danger, especially when he’s not there to protect you.
Back at the auction house, you fend off wave after wave of marines, your movements becoming slower as the effects of Chopper’s medicine start to wear off. “Damn it, I only have a few good minutes left,” you mutter to yourself, feeling the exhaustion creeping in.
Suddenly, a marine captain looms over you, his blade raised high, ready to strike. “You’re mine now, pirate!” he snarls. But just as his sword begins to descend, something strange happens. The blade slips from his grasp, clattering to the ground. The captain’s eyes widen in shock as he watches all the metal around him, including the armor of his men, get sucked away by an unseen force.
You feel your own blade tugging in your hand, but your strong grip keeps it in place. Before you can fully comprehend what’s happening, a flash of movement catches your eye. Suddenly, you’re being lifted off the ground, strong arms holding you securely.
Kidd’s power repels the metal toward the marines, knocking them out one by one with a relentless force. You look up to see Killer holding you tightly, ensuring you’re not hurt. His presence is both comforting and protective.
Kidd hovers over Killer, his gaze intense as he kneels down to check on you. “I got you, Doll. You’re safe now,” Kidd murmurs, his voice surprisingly gentle as he caresses your cheek and hair, his fingers lingering a bit too long.
With what little strength you have left, you reach up, your hand resting against Kidd’s chest. You smirk, your voice low. “You know, Kidd, you’re not so bad up close. Maybe next time, we’ll skip the battle and get straight to the fun.” You let your fingers trace lightly over his chest, enjoying the way his eyes darken with a mix of surprise and desire.
Kidd’s grin widens, his possessive side flaring up as he leans closer. “I’ll hold you to that, Doll. The New World’s gonna be a lot more interesting with you around.”
You chuckle softly, but before things can get any further, you yell out, “Luffy! Now!”
In an instant, Luffy’s stretched arm wraps around your waist, and you’re pulled away from Kidd and Killer’s grasp. As you’re being drawn back toward your crew, you blow them a playful kiss. “This was fun, boys. Can’t wait for a repeat in the New World,” you tease, your voice carrying a flirty edge that lingers in the air.
Kidd watches you with a heated gaze, his hand still tingling from where you touched him. Killer’s eyes, though hidden behind his mask, seem to follow your every movement.
As you’re pulled back toward safety, a sudden bright light flashes from your left side, catching your attention. Your eyes narrow as you try to discern its source, wondering if it’s another enemy lurking in Grove 13. The light grows brighter, and you feel a new wave of tension rising within you, knowing that whatever’s coming could change the course of this chaotic battle once again.

Your skin was scrubbed clean to the point of it hurting, the skin on your arms starting to split a little with the ruff sponge and scrub they where using. You couldn't hate the two girls since they were just doing as they where told, and they would whisper apologies when you would hiss slightly in pain, helping you out the tub the two girls help dry you off and put you in pink shorts and bra, they brushed your hair and tied it back up before placing the cuffs back on your wrists. You hated the feeling of eyes on you mainly form the guard standing in front of the door, you couldn't see his face but you could tell he was looking at something on you, it made your heart race wondering what he's looking at and why. The guard form outside knocks on the door before opening it not waiting for an answer "The masters want to see you now" The guard states holding the door open and waiting for you and the two girls to walk out, following the guard you walk with the two girls, they haven't said much to you this whole time and a part of you hoped they would have talked to you more. The only voices you've heard so far are those who want to hurt you, it would be nice to hear someone who has no ill intent. Entering a large dinning room the guards and slaves bow to the three Dragons sitting at the table eating a large feast, you bow too copying the two girls "Much better" Rosward calls out after finishing his bite of food and holding his glass out for one of his servants to fill it back up. As the two girls stand back up you follow scanning the room with your eyes to see servants lining the walls waiting for orders along with guards.
The three Dragons sitting around the long white table stare at you, Rosward at the head of the table while his two children sit on either side of him. Charlos looks you up and down while taking a big bite of meat while his sister, Shalria sits across form him sipping on her crystal glass of wine "Are you sure about this farther? I don't want a lower life form to be a part of our family tree - su" The woman keeps her head high as she speaks seeming disgusted by the thought alone while her brother laughs out rubbing his runny nose "She'll be just like my other wives, The wedding is just a show, right farther?" Charlos smiles looking at his farther who nods sipping on his wine "Correct" Rosward answers seeming to make his son happy only to spot something on you making him frown and slam his glass down on the table. You jump along with some of the slaves not sure of what the dragon is angry at and what he'll do "What is that?" Rosward glares at your thigh as his voice grows with anger, his two kids look from their farther to you soon spotting what he's seeing. You now know why people have been looking at you ever since your legs have been showing, the straw hat tattoo on your thigh, your heart races wondering what there going to do or say. "We'll we can't have that" Shalria smiles standing out of her seat and making her way over to you, panic hits you as you try to step back only for the two girls next to you to grab your arms.
The female dragon glares at you grabbing your face in her hand "Don't you dare step away from me" The woman growls only for her farther to stand out of his chair, the sudden action making his daughter turn to look at him "Not her face" The man sighs seeing his daughter pout a little but agreeing letting your face go "Or her back and chest, i know the dress i want for her and i don't want scars showing on the day" Rosward sits back down going back his meal as his son frowns, it seemed he wanted to pick out your dress but knowing the man it would most likely only be some shorts and a top, the young dragon seemed to like his wives showing a lot of skin. Shalria's laugh breaks you out of your thoughts noticing she's now by the end of the table picking up a sharp knife "Pin her down" She pats the table and steps away as some of her male servants walk over and grab you, you try to get away but the men are strong and with the drugs still in your system you don't have a lot of energy to fight. Being slammed onto the table the slaves pin you down, two holding your legs and two holding your arms, you struggle trying to kick them away, but they stay put using their weight to keep you there. Shalria grins as she steps closer running her hand over the tattoo on your thigh "No please" You call out as tears start to form in your eyes, its the first time you've talked since being here but it seems to make the three dragons happy hearing you plead and beg for them not to hurt you.
Shalria presses the tip of the knife to your thigh hearing you cry and beg for her not to do it, but she just smiles slicing your skin around the tattoo. The pain was unlike anything you've ever felt before, not only physical but also emotional, you got the tattoo because the crew means so much to you and you were loyal to them and them only but now it was being ripped away. Tears stream down your face as you scream out in pain and sadness the knife slicing under your skin to remove the tattoo from your thigh "She has a pretty scream" Charlos picks his running nose as he watches you scream and cry, his sister puts the knife down and places the piece of skin on a plate before holding her hands out. As you continue to sob on the table a slave walks over and wipes her hands clean of your blood while she looks over her work. "Much better" She comments walking around the table to sit back in her seat and drink her wine seeming very pleased with herself while her father snaps his fingers, the slaves let you go as two guards grab you and help you off the table "Fix her up and take her to the dress maker" Rosward orders his guards who nod supporting your weight as they walk you out the room "Farther can i have a say in the dress?" Charlos looks at his farther seeming to pick up the courage to ask his farther who simply sighs and nods, a big smile appears on his sons face who looks over at his eight wives all standing in a corner "Go with them, make sure the dress is pink and almost see through" His wives bow to him and walk after you and the two guards.
Making it back to the Docks was hard for Zoro and Luffy mainly because both of them where lost but luckily they came across Robin who was talking to a tied up marine "Robin" Luffy calls out running over to her with Zoro in toe "There you two are. We gathered a few but none of them seem to know where Y/n is" She smiles at them stepping away form the marine "We know where she is" The captain stops in front of the black haired woman who looks at him concerned since he doesn't have his usual big smile on his face "There's a lot to explain later, but we need to go now" Zoro states placing his hand on Luffy's shoulder who nods "We're heading to the red line, that's where Y/N is" The woman nods at her captains orders and leads the two back to the docks where the Sunny is now docked. It takes a few minutes to get everyone on the ship and head off but with Nami and Franky sensing the two's urgency they got away form the small island much faster. The navigator yelled orders as Franky set up the ship for a Coup de Burst, so they could get to the red line quicker, the crew became more and more worried as the ship took off wondering why you were taken back to the red line and the enraged look on their captain's and swordsman's face. "Hold on" Franky yells out near the wheel of the ship getting ready to press the button once everyone is holding onto something "Coup de Burst" The cyborg yells pushing the button launching the Sunny out of the water and into the air.
With the Sunny at full speed and back on the water Sanji hands out drinks to the crew as they all sit on the grassy deck, Zoro and Luffy told the crew what they knew trying not lash out in anger at the situation. "What? They can't do that" Chopper yells jumping up form his spot on the floor "Their celestial dragon's they can do whatever they want" Nami glares down at the cup in her hands anger taking over her, its bad enough that your a slave to those monsters but now ones marrying you as a show of power. Robin places a hand on her shoulder feeling saddened by the news, but she knew you were a fighter, and they would get you back. "Those bastards, how dare they. Oh, my sweet Y/N its going to be ok, your prince charming will come to save you" Sanji cry's out holding his hands to his heart swaying a little making Zoro growl, it only took one thing to throw the swordsman over the edge and the cook just stepped too far "I told you to cut that crap" The swordsman stands placing a hand on his sword "How many times have i told you, stupid cook?" Sanji jumps a little and growls at the green haired man stepping closer, he didn't want to start a fight, but he can't help it when Zoro yells at him like that "Hay man i just care about her thats all" The cook yells back the two getting in each others faces "Guys stop this isn't helping" Nami yells at the two as Usopp walks over to Luffy and sits next to him.
The sniper puts an arm around his captain trying to comfort his angry and slightly shaking friend, "We'll get her back, at this speed we'll make it there in time" Luffy sighs and looks at his friend with a small smile and a nod "I can't wait to punch that guy in the face again" The captain laughs a little while punching his fist into his hand making the sniper crack a smile. "Guys i said stop" The two are brought out of their conversation by Nami yelling at Zoro and Sanji who are kicking and punching each other "Knock it off moss head, i just care about her" Sanji yells dodging a punch and trying to get away form the very angry swordsman "I said cut that crap, you know how i hate it when you fawn over her. Its bad enough those assholes have her but now your making comments too" Zoro yells grabbing Sanji by the shirt and shoving him into the wall, the cook stares with wide eyes watching the swordsman's eye tear up a little. Luffy stands and tilts his hat down before walking over to the two prying Zoro's hand off Sanji and lightly pushing the swordsman away. The swordsman didn't put up a fight and stepped back his hands gripping his swords but had no intention of pulling them out. "This isn't helping." The captain states keeping his head down as he stands in between the two, Sanji nods and looks away while Zoro's eye's shift to the ground.
The tension was still thick everyone waiting with baited breath for something to happen, Zoro made the first move turning and walking up the steps to the kitchen "I need a drink" The swordsman groans walking into the kitchen and slamming the door closed. The crew lets out a collective sigh of relief now that the moment was over, "I'm sorry" Sanji sighs lighting up a cigarette as he looks at Luffy who's eyes are still covered as he looks at the ground. The captain simply nods before heading up the stairs and into the kitchen knowing he needed to have a talk with his first mate, Its normal for Sanji and Zoro to fight but this was different , Luffy could see the hurt and rage in the swordsman. Robin stands and takes Nami's hand as she watches the kitchen door close behind Luffy "We should get everything ready for tomorrow and get an early night" Robin's calming voice brings everyone back down to earth and nod heading off in order to get their weapons or the ship ready but Sanji stayed leaning against the wall smocking his cigarette trying to calm down from what just happened. Zoro downed another bottle while standing in the kitchen, he needed to take his mind off things for a second in order to calm down but all he could think of was a stiff drink. The swordsman sighs hearing the door open but upon feeling Luffy's aura he relaxes a bit glad that its not the cook, placing the empty bottle down along with the others he grabs another and pops off the top "Zoro" Luffy's voice soon calls out from behind the swordsman, but he can't bring himself to turn around and look at his captain.
Zoro knew the captain must be angry with him for the way he acted and didn't want to see the sad or angry face of the man he loved, at least not right now. "I'm sorry Luffy" Zoro sighs downing his drink, Luffy steps closer moving around the swordsman and leaning against the counter now able to see his face, tear stains on his red cheeks and a slightly blood shot eye. Its very rare for Zoro to cry and it broke the captain a little "I'm not mad, just wanted to see if your ok" Luffy leans a little closer as the green haired man slams the now empty bottle down but keeping a tight grip on it "I'm fi-" the swordsman goes to say but stops himself his hand loosening on the bottle as his eye finally looks over to Luffy, the two stared at each other for a minute until Luffy wraps his arms around the swordsman burying his head into the mans chest "I miss her too" The captain lets a few tears fall as he grips onto the back of Zoro's shirt, with a shaky sigh Zoro hugs back running his hands up and down his lovers back "It hurts Zo" Luffy looks up tears running down his face making Zoro's eyes soften and lean closer while wiping some of the tears away "I know... i feel it too" The two no longer feeling alone in their feelings hold each other close letting their emotions show even though Zoro try's to hold back as much as he can but soon caves in burying his head into Luffy's neck who starts rubbing his back. "We'll get her back so don't worry" The swordsman whispers into Luffy's neck trying to reassure the both of them "We will Zo. i promise" The captain says back placing a kiss on Zoro's shoulder who returns it with a kiss on the captains neck.
Your leg was bandaged up and the blood washed form you leg but the pain was still there even though your heart and body felt numb, a part of you felt so empty as the old dress maker measured you and pressed different shades of pink cloth to your skin. The other girls in the room watches sitting together on a sofa with vials covering their faces, they told the dress maker what Charlos told them and it made your skin crawl. "All done, your dress will be ready in the morning, congratulations" The dress maker smiles walking out the room the guards following her and locking the door behind them, why would she say that? Congratulations? For what getting married to the most disgusting, Arrogant and cruel man in the whole world? One of the girls stands and walks over lightly touching your hand as you stand in the middle of the room "Come sit" Her soft voice calls out as her hand takes yours and walks you over to the sofa helping you sit down. "Its over now" She whispers pulling her vale up so you can see her face, the other girls do the same moving closer to you so the eight women can hold each other. You felt a little bit of comfort as the girls hugged and tried to tell you I'll be ok, you know things won't be ok but you appreciate their kindness and effort. "What are your names" You finally speak some of the girls tearing up a bit, the girl who walked you over takes your head and lays it on her shoulder stroking your hair "It doesn't matter" she whispers with a sad voice.
You shake your head and lift it up form her shoulder now getting a good look at the girls, their either wearing blue or pink belly dancer outfits with long hair and very skinny waist's "It does to me" Your words seem to cut deep for one girl who breaks down crying being comforted by one of the other girls trying to shush her "You'll learn that they never use our names here so there's no point in telling you" Another girl speaks up gritting her teeth and looking away from you but you reach over and take her hand "It doesn't matter what they do or think... I'm Y/N and want to call you by your names" you state looking over the girls who seem to take a second to think about your words "Sakura" You look at the girl next to who helped you before, she smiles a little as her eyes meet your, smiling back you take her hand in yours "It's nice to meet you Sakura" the girl tears up at the sound of her own name and quickly hugs you slightly crying into your shoulder. "I'm Emi" The girl crying soon wipes her tears away and looks up at you with a small smile, the other girls decide to tell you their names too, Rin, Claire, Marie, Lina, Kashvi and Jae. You greet all of them hoping for once that they feel seen and acknowledged, they all seemed so sweet even though they've been through hell, At that moment you decided that when you leave they will be coming with you, their not going to suffer anymore.

@heavenlyborne asked: 👄 + Doflamingo?
send a ‘👄 + character name’ and my muse will talk about that character {Accepting}
🕷It took a lot for the new songstress to not spit her tea back into cup at the Celestial Dragons question. Sure it wasn’t odd for a random question to pop out of her mouth now and again but this seemed like a direct strike for some reason. A heaviness the spider couldn’t really place, like stumbling on something one shouldn’t talk about.
Why did it matter? Doflamingo was one of the warlords, they did work for the world government and she did work for him. It was also no secret who was funding her rise to fame either. The blond had picked her up out of the gutter of her life and given her a second chance and this one far better then her previous captain.
She was lucky to not be in jail with Crocodile right now after all. Still, Layla went back to her tea sipping it and looking for the words. Weaving them slowly before presenting them. This was her captain and the head of her new family after all.
“He’s a very charismatic man, full of a light I’ve never seen in a person before. His planning and forethought are even rarer. He holds his family and kingdom in great regards and care. I have a real home and family for the first time in my life. Not just people I ‘tolerate’.” The spider went back to sipping her tea,” That and he’s ever so easy on the eyes, full color spectrum or not~ Who doesn't like a man whos mere precise speaks before him?”
“.....I have to say that becoming a business partner of his as well was a bit of a shock to the system but it works out. I don’t have to go to the ends of the seas for work anymore, I get to keep my nice tight knit circle of clients. He’s even helped with my preforming career....then again i’m sure that’s been noted even up here....” Layla had taking a few private performances for a few of the Celestial Dragon households even before Doffy had helped make her name bigger.
“Do not fear though, even though he keeps me busy I shall always have time for you Your Enlightenment~” Besides it seemed that the warlord wanted to keep his hands washed of theses trips as much as possible. He didn’t say it but there was always intensities in the air when explaining that Shalria had called upon her once more. 🕷
#heavenlyborne#{Silver strings and golden rings: Layla}#{House of Cards: Donquixote AU}#// going to type this answer in this AU but lets face it despite Croc's wishes Layla has a bit of a soft spot for the tall bird man#just in general of the matter lolol then again .....they have a lot in common so who's shocked?#videcoeur

“Send me a number from 1-500 and I’ll tell you how I feel about you in a post without anyone knowing your identity.” - (not sure why the numbers matter but gotta go with numba 5.)
Not gonna lie, this icon was TOTALLY my reaction when I saw you’d sent this in?? You’re another person with whom I haven’t spoken to very often despite both of us seeing each other around for some time... even now I feel a little intimidated to even be typing this given your sheer koala-tea, but you’re a well-known and well-liked person in the RPC for good reason and it’s more than just you being an amazing writer? You’re friendly and affable, vibing well with many types of wrtiters which isn’t a surprise given that your writing and portrayal is top-notch and far away one of the best examples of a dedicated roleplayer? Your characterization is always on point no matter who you are writing and your sense of humour and style knows no bounds! Seriously though, thinking about what what I’ve written a moment ago... we have interacted a tiny bit, which reminds me that I still have yet to reply to you over on Shalria if you’re still down with that? Not been feeling the most confident when it comes to writing for god knows how long now; sometimes I just FREEZE when it comes to thinking how best to respond, which probably sounds silly in hindsight given that you’ve always come across as a really chill type of person who is honestly just down for having fun? If not, I don’t mind - you’re a delight to see around either way and are all in all a most wholesome person!
#memes ;; 1-500 identity#☺ ;; positivity#Writing these makes me realize I haven't been the best when it comes to roleplaying haha#You are definitely up there as a good example of one though#A most excellent example in fact#Always nice seeing you around#Numba 5 is a good pick too!

Sharp eyes locked onto their target, having caught a glimpse of something fluffy scuttling around on such little legs. What was it? Shalria had never seen any animal quite like it before, covered with a thick white coat none too different from her own... but it also a pair of horns, bore no collar and looked very cute. "You there, little thing... come here," Shalria cooed, extending a gloved hand towards the tiny creature. Obviously it didn't /belong/ to anybody, so she'd better take it home.
What should have been the warning sign? The plants screaming to run away? Why were they so loud and most of all urgent. So many warnings to run run run. Even the grass was talkative on it. Or perhaps it was the fact that this lady called her a thing. But she could have crossed that for someone just...not knowing anything--Galapagos could definitely look like an animal...if you squint...a little. Rummaging thoughts nearly made her miss the gloved hand reaching out and the anyagi quickly backed away, nearly tripping on her own fluffy tail...
“ umm...s sorry- w who are y you- not supposed t to umm....mm.. talk t to strangers- ”
Galapagos’s expression shifted to more confused as she tried to decipher all the meanings around her. She wished they wouldn’t all talk at the same time- It made it really hard to focus. The marks on her face glowed as well as just her skin as a whole as she tried to listen and figure out what to say further--was she supposed to be careful? Why was she supposed to be careful??
Thoughts stopped however, when the Anyagi lost focused--and her step, tripping over her tail and falling onto the ground.

"Why, if it isn't Trafalgar Law..." Shalria said, smirking lightly at the surgeon as though enjoying some private joke. "I read about your little stunt in Dressrosa and what you did to Donquixote Doflaming. On behalf of all Tenryūbito, you have our thanks for dealing with that rogue but now I hear Kaido is set firmly in your sights. My father and I have a bet, you see... I don't think think you'll last ten minutes against him. Father disagrees. He thinks you won't last five," she laughed softly.
The woman’s voice had Law cringing. He didn’t afford her the pleasure of reacting with a grimace however. He side eyed her, distrust clear in his eyes while his hand rested over the top of of Kikoku’s handle.
She was one of them. A celestial. They were of the same ilk as Doflamingo himself and near enough a reminder to those that had razed his home. Disgusted welled up within him. It clutched at his throat and he could nearly taste the acidic bile in his mouth.
“I didn’t do that for you or your flock. I did it for me and one other.”
Eyes narrowed before his expression changed to one of sadistic pleasure. “You want to be rid of me when I’ve done nothing to you or yours. You place bets out of ignorance. I’ll get the last laugh when all is said and done. When the current emperors are no more, I might get bored. I’ll have to find other ways to help the world.” He gave a plain rebellious stare. They might think they were above all others, but he regarded them as little more than the scum he’d scrape from the underside of his boot.
“I wonder what a celestial’s innards are like....” This was said in a barely audible tone but said in such a way as if to seem like he was genuinely curious. Which...of course he was.

@heavenlyborne asked: "Why, if it isn't Trafalgar Law..." Shalria said, smirking lightly at the surgeon as though enjoying some private joke. I don't think you'll last ten minutes against him. Father disagrees. He thinks you won't last five," she laughed.
Unprompted
“Ah, yeah. You can take your thanks and shove it up your ass. Don’t give a fuck about any of you inbred scum,” Law says, his relaxed posture at odds with the hate in his eyes.
There are some questions he should be asking. Like, why exactly is this Celestial Dragon interested in him? Or maybe he should consider the reasons for her to have decided to venture down from the safety of that heaven they like to hide within. Might even be prudent to wonder if she is being protected by someone powerful while on this little excursion of hers but Law finds himself not caring. If that becomes a threat soon then he’ll deal with it. All he is considering is the regret he’d feel if he didn’t seize this opportunity.
Law takes a breath and straightens from his slouched position. Hand settles on the hilt of his sword. He can feel Kikoku practically shiver in anticipation. It can feel his hate and knows he doesn’t want to hold back. He doesn’t completely draw the sword, only pulling the blade free enough to make the threat clear.
“Interestin’ that you’re considering that kind of thing.”
There is a sigh and a sinister smirk spreads across his features. Now he exudes nothing but malice, all his hatred for the World Government and anything that represents them oozing from him. Such obvious murderous intent.
“‘Cause I was just wondering how long you’d last on my operating table. It kinda depends on how curious I am and right now I’m real curious to see if your insides are as rotten as your personality is.”

🕷If he only knew what her past was like, the dedication she placed was to beat the poverty shed been left to. The power her young hands had, sure she had mentors. Of coarse she had to be guided. She caused a lot of issues in the gangs and cartels in Alabasta. It was her age that got in the way in the end. Crocodile seen otherwise but in the end it was a game of chess.
Then again with their talk so far he'd not care. Layla worked hard to be as important as she was but always drew the short stick. Everyone wanted her for her skills or potential but it was all the wrong people.
None asked what she wanted. They all made choices for her or forced her into a roll that she didn't want. At least ,despite hating her captain for many years, she'd climbed the ranks for her respect. She was selfish , rightfully so. Layla knew her worth and chose less....for now.
"Its fine. I'm just not one for nicknames when I'm not close to said person. Though if it upset you then I can lay down my rules this once. That and it's rather adorable. Ill grow fond of it quickly." The spider was a sucker for cute things, nicknames included. In all she wasn't loosing much.
He was correct though. Layla was jealous of Robin. For all the reason but her skills. The raven hair didn't understand and personally she didn't know why she cared. Its not like she had deep feeling for her captain...it was business. Fondness was the closest word the women knew , anything else was foreign.
"Uncultured... No. Misinformed, possibly. I'm willing to learn why it's so important....but lost history and distant treasure isn't what I seek. I want the future something that I can touch, smell and taste. To indulge on the worlds riches now. " The raven hair took what she wanted, it was always that way. Even killed for in," I like a good fairytale but stories of 'revenges to come' and 'great battle ships that can destroy whole islands' don't help with power struggles now. "
Layla had heard many tails threw Crocodile and several of her business trades. The World Government had taught her much or rather one women that was untouchable had ,Saint Shalria. She at least humored Layla’s questions now days. It was nice to have ‘friends’ in high places. Even if they are down right frightening but they were her ties and her gains. Not her Captains. One would think she could do her own business indeed.
“ I’ve still so much to learn about my devil’s fruit. What I have unlocked is....dangerous. You’d think they’d take better care in keeping me in cuffs~” The spider put her hands up and gave her fingers a wiggle before pocketing the small piece of silk with another laugh.
“Leave?” Color her curious , really she was a bit irritated but pushed that down. Even when watching the door give way, “ Well then...with the door open i can possibly pushed the elevator down to the next level ....” Layla didn’t want to show her other forms ....simple spinning was one thing but she found her other forms repulsive even if they were useful. 🕷
littlemissleapyear:.
🕷“I don’t expect you to understand. Only one person understands and that’s all I need.” There was a roll of her emerald eyes at his mocking laugher. It seemed she’d began distancing pieces of herself now from such actions and reflections. Closing one door after another as he peeked in. It wasn’t that these topics weren’t secrets, but it was the failure that made her feel shame. Though that only seemed to drive her harder for her goal. She was still pulling strings in Alabasta and made life rather difficult, not as hard as Crocodile had but not wanting to raise any suspicions. A bonus for working in the underground. It was her own little game and she’d enjoy it.
Layla did know a lot, far more than one would image. Being how close she was with her Captain wasn’t even the start of it, all those years as his prisoner had done it. Neither truly trusted one another but he wasn’t a man for such a thing. They ran their relationship on agreements, every deep interaction and word. Though, like he, they kept things to themselves. There were also things that Layla just didn’t want to know or didn’t care about. A piece of her still hated him despite her respects.
The threat wasn’t missed, she held fast to the inclination of danger placed upon her. All over his name? Strange, very strange. Most men of power liked being addressed as such so that’s what her default lip serves went to. It was proper manners. This caused her to have her turn at placing a hand under her chin and cock her head in question. “Doffy…” It was so overly personal, her brow furrowed. And adorable, damn him.
She contemplated on if he was just messing with her. It wouldn’t be the first time a man got her to say something embarrassing just to hear her say it.
“Miss. All Sunday you mean. I had plenty of time to know the women. We shared a lot of duties, and I took on a lot of them after her …. side swap. I can’t read ancient text like she can …. but I wasn’t jealous of that small little talent either. She knew her usefulness was temporary; I have a skill that people would find useful so long as they have a good imagination on how to use it. Not that people didn’t kill for her abilities, the underground had heavy whispers of other crews and nobility that wanted her……I’ve been questioned up and down by the CP’s about her. Rather irritating. For people that really wanted that woman they suck ass at trying to catch her for these many years……” Another laugh before his statement cut her off. All that amusement just came to a hard halt, there it was. Then she continued, straight up keeling over in laughter having to hold her stomach.
“Useful. Yes, I’m aware of what that means. Everyone has a value; everyone has a price. Always. “ Layla had to wipe an eye from laughing so hard with a well-manicured nail. “Fine, I’ll humor you, Doffy~”
She still couldn’t help but giggle still finding humor in all of this as she placed the tips of her fingers together. Slowly pulling them apart there was a glimmer before quick, steady, and intricate movements of her fingers. Was she spinning something? Thread? It glittered lightly at first before slowly something seemed to form between her finger only held in place by her pinkies. It was as if her fingers were knitting needles.
Showing him this was trouble, it was the skill that caused her kidnapping by her captain in the first place all those years ago. The raven hair wasn’t that little girl anymore, she made her own choices. Layla’s fingers came to a stop, pulling the newly formed piece of silk free from her fingers and handing it to him. He’d find that the quality was flawless, soft and texture heavenly.
“It’s a more pleasant use of my threads….to say the least~” 🕷
Only one person understands. He supposes she’s talking about Crocodile. She sure seems to have an unhealthy amount of respect for someone so…weak. Maybe she wouldn’t be useful for long, even if he let her join the family. Then again, there were a lot of people he considered inferior in his own family. He still loved and protected them all the same, but it was hard for him to not think of everyone else as weaklings. Even his executives, he found to be terribly underwhelming.
Of course, they were stronger than most. Strong enough to protect The Sun, but like Icarus, they would burn sooner than prove they are truly worthy of him. So her? She was a mean to an end. If she proved her worth, he’ll let her stay, just like he did Baby 5 or Dellinger. Even if she was the kind of woman who blindly followed a loser like Sir Crocodile.
“That sounds a lot better. Doffy. You can also use Doflamingo, but I will not be so kind, should you use the other titles you used, fufufuf.” Doflamingo didn’t need to feel self important through the use of a royal title- he was important. Like the bright shining star in the day sky, and even the light reflecting on the moon. When you are this important, you don’t really need the use of titles. He did like Doflamingo-sama, or oya-ji, but that was as far as honorifics would run with him. Layla better get used to it.
“Don’t be an idiot. Nico Robin’s ability to read those texts is nothing to scoff at. She is amongst a handful of people who can still read them nowadays. Making light of that makes you sound like uncultured trash.” He didn’t mean to make it sound like Nico Robin was better than her, but he highly respected the devil woman’s intelligence. From the tenderest age, she’d survived the worst. He didn’t know everything about Robin, but what he’d read had been enough to convince him that she was wasted potential on the Strawhat Crew.
Unfortunately, Doflamingo’s dreams didn’t lie in the pirate’s crown title. His ambitions were a lot…bigger and dangerous. But he stopped his commentary on the devil of Ohara at that. Obviously, Layla had a few points in common with her boss- and one of them was the feeling of self importance. Boasting about her abilities while putting down the woman who had her boss entire interest for years.
Doflamingo wonders how she must have felt, watching her boss gaze wander on the growing Nico Robin, as she kept dutifully doing everything he asked, and efficiently at that. She must have been…jealous. Even if she says she wasn’t.
A silk weaver. A spider mythical fruit? Perhaps the legendary Arachne? If that was the case, Doflamingo understood why Crocodile was interested in her in the first place… However.
“Interesting threads. I wonder which of yours or mine are strongest.” No, he did not wonder. He was an awakened user. Even a mythical Zoan or another paramecia like him, was no match for the Heavenly Yaksha.
“Should we get out of this elevator? I’d like to get to know you better, Layla.” With a few movements of his own strings, the elevator door was cut open, revealing that they were halfway between two levels. Maybe it would be best then to rid of the roof. He didn’t feel like crawling through the opening.

“It’s hard to recognize the light when you’ve spent your whole life in the dark.”
Sentence Starters - The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance
“Is that why you shine as brightly as a star? To keep the darkness at bay?” Shalria inquired cooly, sipping at her wine as she slowly mulled over his words. The costly beverage was cold and fresh, taste sweetening upon her tongue. Tesoro was likely enjoying his drink too, especially since it was the first time he’d ever mentioned anything about his life other than as a man of talent. It was difficult to believe that a man so full of personality could have indeed spent his whole life in the dark but Shalria knew it wasn’t impossible. Gild Tesoro wasn’t known as the World’s Greatest Showman for nothing and the idea that the King of the Gran Tesoro, Lord of the World’s Largest Entertainment City might have his own dark secrets hidden beneath the veneer of glorious wealth and gold decorating his vast realm wasn’t really that far-fetched. After all, she’d seen many of his ’employees’ scrambling to serve his every whim, no different than how the slaves behaved back home in Mariejois. Honey brown eyes slyly flickered up and down beneath the orange-tinted lenses of her eyewear. Tesoro wasn’t terribly old, just shy of forty years but in that moment between sipping his wine, the atmosphere shifted and suddenly he seemed so much older, the premature lines of his face looking heavier than she’d recalled ever seeing before. The blueness of his eyes, bright as his gaze was, had a faraway look to them as though his thoughts had drifted back to less pleasant times, when he hadn’t always been the illustrious ‘Casino King’ so many people had grown to love and fear.
“Be that as it may, there is plenty of light in your life now. The Gran Tesoro shines like the moon itself even when sailing through the darkest waters and your performances bring light to the lives of those worthy enough to see you. Surely that’s something to be proud of?” Shalria said in her most pleasant voice, wondering if the showman would continue his line of thought or leave that conversation for another time...
#goldenshowman#memes ;; the dark crystal#asdfghjkl I rewrote this twice because I couldn't stand the first draft#Still a little unsatisfied but it's... better I think?#I'm guessing Tesoro just finished his last performance of the night and is a tired man from entertaining so many#If only Shalria knew what darkness he was talking about#Man's had a rough life and it shows :(

Anonymous asked: You hate mermaids and fishmen. Do you have any derogatory names for them and all the other races?
Shalria hummed thoughtfully as she considered the question. It was no secret that she held little love for such creatures and could barely begin to understand her brother’s obsession with the former sort of fish, whereas the legged kind were at least blessed with some strength if not much in the way of their sister breed’s looks. ”It’s not so much derogatory but simply calling them what they are. Halfbreeds. Bottom-feeders. Seaspawn. Seascum. Scaletails. Fillets. Rollmops. Ich. Shark-fodder. Chum. There’s a million things to call either one of the two if you just stop and use your imagination for a moment.” Every insult was enunciated with the touch of a gloved forefinger on each digit of the other hand, until all had raised once and fallen again before the World Noble laughed merrily. ”As for that other scum, I don’t really care. Human is enough to describe the majority of that lot and you can’t really say anything about giants other than they’re huge. Longarms? Longlegs? Freaks of nature if you ask me, and Mink are just more intelligent animals that mirror the human appearance, because we World Nobles should be served by better creatures than mere beasts of burden.”

// tw animal abuse mentioned ~
As much as Shalria loves her father, he does grate on her nerves a lot. One of the things she hates most about him is meal times together, for Rosward’s favourite happens to be monkey’s brains. It makes her sick watching him eat away when the poor thing is still alive and is one of the reasons why she doesn’t eat very much, preferring to stick with her caviar and pieces of fish.
#❦;; musings#✚;; thoughts#tw animal abuse#Rosward is just so fucking NASTY#Charlos is bad enough eating like a pig at a trough#He only really likes cream and ice cream because it's soft and easy to consume#He was premature so it's quite difficult for him to stomach heavier foods let alone chew them#Rosward though GOD#Shalria hates it so much like at least her food is dead when she eats it#And why the ever-living fuck would you want to eat brains#So wrong#He tried to offer her some once but she gave him such a nasty look she didn't try it again#She's pretty inhumane but she does have softer spot for fluffy animals#I legit forgot thsi was Rosward's favourite food so now I was reminded of it you've all got to suffer too

One thing I really want to drabble about in future (should I ever get the energy and motivation to do so) is about Shalria’s earlier life since I imagine she’s not exactly ‘natural’ and Dr. Vegapunk’s assistance was possibly required to ensure the Roswards had at least one healthy child since Celestial Dragons only seem to have an average of around two throughout their lives. This coupled with Shalria’s genetic sleeplessness meant that Rosward wanted to make sure nothing happened to his precious heir therefore he entrusted Dr. Vegapunk to look after his daughter for a while, monitoring her health and condition while entertaining her with his many projects.
#❦;; musings#✚;; thoughts#I think I wrote about this once before too#Since Dr. Vegapunk has done many things for the Celestial Dragons including making artificial dragons#Which he was specifically interested in for a reason#And I've speculated that he's done other things for them such as designing their suits and providing oxygen canisters#So they don't have to breathe the same 'filthy' air as commoners#Living up in Mariejois in such pristine conditions and never working or getting dirty means their immunity levels must be shit#Hence Doflamingo's mother sickening and dying so 'easily'#Every now and again I think back to this headcanon of mine#Shalria basically being a 'designer' child since Dr. Vegapunk knows how genetics work and Rosward requested his aid#bc he didn't want another flawed child like Charlos to continue his legacy#So this Shalria knows Dr. Vegapunk and has spent time with him in the past#He showed her many interesting things so she may have lowkey interest in science at this point#Ofc she can't begin to compare to an ancient genius but#But his work is still fascinating#This is also why Shalria wasn't afraid to eat the Yuki Yuki no Mi#She knows Devil Fruits aren't 'cursed' and just give you powerful abilities with one or two drawbacks like seawater

//I hope you don't mind a random headcanon ask, but I was wondering what are some of Shalria's hobbies? ((I understand we are not mutuals so you're welcome to ignore this and if it breaks your rules, I apologise. I just find your portrayal interesting.))
Not at all, the ask is very much appreciated and just in case people are wondering, everybody is welcome to send questions about anything you’d like to know, at anytime whatsoever! Just please be aware that sometimes I am rather (or very) slow when it comes to answering things, especially when it involves more thorough questions that really need some thinking about such as what hobbies a Celestial Dragon might have? If they have anything in abundance, it is time. Their entire lives revolve around being pampered and served, but even that must get boring eventually so naturally they’ve got to have things to do given they never need to worry about things like getting jobs, paying the bills or simply having to struggle to survive like most other people have to.
Shalria would be no exception and while a good part of her day might still be occupied by studies, she has all the time in the world with never having to sleep. Reading is something she’d enjoy, learning the ancient history of the world and more up-to-date information involving countries of interest, their cultures, people and more. A great amount of information has been purged since the Void Century and it’s possible the only records still currently existing are locked up tight inside of Mary Geoise. Lore about the Nineteen Kingdoms would be important to know also, being able to trace back her family’s noble lineage and determining knowledge about her fellow World Nobles along with the worthiness of their blood. Music is also something she’s enjoyed throughout her life, so Shalria would have probably learned to play a few instruments over the years on top of enjoying listening to others. It’s good at boosting memory and staving off any negative effects which being unable to sleep might cause, so it would help in maintaining her physical and mental health alongside providing her with something to do when most other people would be asleep at such late hours of the night. Mental and strategic games are something she’d also enjoy for similar reasons what with not being physically impressive, though she’d make sure to get some form of exercise also such as taking her family’s dogs on walks around ‘town’ as well as mild physical activities such as yoga to keep in shape the best she can. Shalria is not as strong or robust as some of her kin so knows it’s important to take care of her body the best she possibly can even when wearing a protective suit.
#agalaxyofmuses#;; asks#ღ;; headcanons#Thank you very much for this!#It was nice to think about and answer#It's not in that great depth but there's so much to think about#Nobility hobbies and more#They probably really like stuff such as art and other 'idle' hobbies#It's not like they need to work but the majority are put through education anyway#Knowing to read and write is important#Knowing the true history of the world is one thing and of the way it used to be before#Which is why the World Government went to such lengths to destroy Ohara I guess?#She'd know stuff about prominent countries and landmarks#A brief history on all of that#Especially important kingdoms like Dressrosa and Alabasta#It's important to learn about the world if you have a hand in ruling it however much you might look down upon it#I said there's a lot to keep in mind oof#Shalria wouldn't do any 'servant' stuff like cooking or cleaning but reading music exercise and arts would be okay#And with her Devil Fruit she would definitely practise with it#Making perfect snow sculptures#If she's a dragon than she's doing dragon stuff#Occasionally munching on servants and being a holy terror#Snipped to save the dashboard!#✨;; long post

@littlemissleapyear asked: "Pardon my enquiry again, my Enlightenment. Do.....slaves have families here? Do you assign them families? I've just noticed groupings ....then again that could distract them from their main jobs now wouldn't it. Sorry, I'm wasting your precious time with brainless questions once more. Deepest apologies."
Shalria actually laughed out loud. Layla clearly knew how to speak with the respect that a World Noble was due, the other woman’s polite nature and wording having already gone a long way to mollify her usually cold and impassive nature. "Please, enough of the self-denigration. Anybody would think that I were about to beat you senseless,” Shalria replied with a light chuckle, though the tone in her voice she might not be joking entirely about that. The subtle wave of a gloved hand indicated for the seamstress to be at ease however, her relaxed posture next to the other female’s considerably stiffer own alluding to an unspoken comfort in that these questions were not unwelcome. ”That is a question few have ever dared ask before. Can’t imagine why, unless people believe we might be interested in claiming them for ourselves but in all honesty your answer depends. Most slaves I’m accustomed to arrive as individuals, pirates and other criminal scum who would otherwise be swinging from the gallows so it’s very rare for them to come with relatives. It’s not unheard of, but usually they come alone and that’s that. Servants on the other hand may be permitted to have families. They can marry one another if we deem it just, or bring their families to the Holy Land if they truly cannot bear to be apart and so far, these contracts serve to keep them motivated. Some of my female attendees have husbands of their own, who serve as soldiers amongst other important roles.” The Holy Land of Mariejois was indeed large and plentiful, far larger and grander than most cities found in the world below. Entire villages were dedicated to house vast communities who served their celestial masters, each making use of the establishments provided to cater to their own personal needs while working for their rightful leaders...
"So far the peace has upheld. We can be generous to those who do our bidding, and even a slave may rise through the ranks to become a good servant one day. Just as long as they understand they can also lose those privileges, it’s enough to keep even the most unruly on their best behaviour.”
#littlemissleapyear#;; asks#tw slavery#Well this got out of hand!#But I enjoyed writing the answer thank you very much#I really doubt it's as simple as Shalria says#Celestial Dragons expect to be served and don't accept less than the best#Right Karens they do be at times I fear#But it's probably the reason why she's so callous towards her father's collection of Pirate Captains#They're scumbags so what does it matters how they're treated? They're lucky to be alive and should be glad of it#I say this because there are obviously armed guards and other royal attendees#Some looks happy enough and are most dedicated to their roles#Mariejois looks a big place and especially since it's on a continent so I imagine it's fucking huge#I mean why else would the World Nobles want places such as Tequila Wolf built?#That fucking thing has been undergoing work for 700 years if not more#So yeah I imagine Mariejois is practically a whole country with families of slaves live there if not generations of them#They just get fresh blood and talent from outside on occasion via slavery or useful government pawns like kids harvested for Cipher Pol#*shrugs*#Thanks for this though!#It was good to think about in a twisted way reminsicent to old cases of slavery#Those who were more privileged would be more inclined to keep 'lowly' slaves under control#In order to maintain the status quo and remain privileged#It really ain't cute or nice at all#Twisted World Noble reasonings
