I can’t believe “Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53″ blew up and broke multiple records, and now Shakira and Bizarrap went on Fallon and you got Shakira being proud of and cute about her sons (lmao forever I can’t believe Milan was the one who orchestrated the collab for his mom’s song about his dad kjfadslfjsaa) and THAT CROWD! I haven’t seen a crowd so hyped up and singing along to all the lyrics. Only the queen can do that!!!!!!

sorry my list isn't "recent" because i've been mainly listening to #2 on repeat in the past five months...

One Day - Jason Chan (THE FIRST TAKE version) jason has always been one of the hk singers whose voice stands out with its lovely texture and vibe, and i'm so glad this one-take version of his song One Day is getting attention. this version has a jpop mood to it, bright and positive and full of hope. it's been on repeat for me since it dropped!

Slaughter House - GALI from ATLANTIS, the best chinese rap album of 2022. before #1 dropped, i have been listening almost exclusively to GALI's album. it's cohesive and his lyrics are just full of punch and message. his live performances are entrancing, i hope i get to see him live in 2023. another track i like and replay a lot on the album is Levitation II.

All About You - ANN like my other favourite yico zeng, ann bai is very good with delicate lyrics and loopy, moody lyrics. another track i like from her recent album is Personal Issue. her songs are great for melancholic daydreaming sessions.

Missing Thailand - AA you can't find AA on youtube yet aside from the few cyphers singles he did with others, but he has to be my second favourite chinese rapper right after GALI. his style goes from high energy to emo, but even when he's lamenting his tunes sound fun. i guess that's because he's just a genuinely fun person.

Shoot on Target? - Fin feat. Feezy fin & feezy are what i sometimes jokingly refer to as "intellectual rap" — their first ever collab was on a rap show, where they had to make a song together based on a debate topic (they debated whether humanity should hide underground or search for a way to live on the surface should the world end). after that legendary performance, they returned to write this piece for fin's 2022 album, describing someone's thoughts on a plane that's about to crash. yea, fin is probably my third favourite chinese rapper.

Pa' Tipos Como Tú - Shakira & BZRP (& Jackson Wang cover) this caught my eye (ear?) on twitter, so thanks jackson for the cover because the original track by shakira is SO full of energy. explosively colourful and fun. the kind of song you remember immediately after one listen.
