Meet ShadowClan's High Ranks!

Only 12 days until Secrets of the Clans is open for new members! Today we're going to be getting to know some of the ShadowClan cats you might meet upon joining!

Russetstar LEADER - 86 MOONS - SHE/HER art by; phrögMütt Russetstar is the proud leader of Shadowclan. A traditionalist sticking closely to the Warrior Code throughout her life, the queen had a track record of acting in an uncompromising manner, a trait which has slowly lifted as she’s learned her understanding of the world may not be complete, and that adaptation is necessary. She’s an incredibly hard worker and strict to her sense of duty, even at her own detriment. Shadowclan means everything for her so she would lay it all down for her home.

Shadetalon DEPUTY - 106 MOONS - HE/HIM The current deputy of ShadowClan is a senior tom named Shadetalon. This massive, scarred tom is known for his intimidating presence, but don’t let his cold gaze fool you. While certainly rather serious, deep down the ShadowClan deputy is a deeply caring and protective tom, loyal to his Clan and the code above all else. That being said, rumor has it he's a bit too close to a certain RiverClan tom he insists is simply his best friend... However, Shadetalon has three grown kits with his mate, who was once his childhood best friend, so certainly the rumors are only just rumors. Either way, no cat could doubt his work ethic and conviction to serving his Clan above all else.

Noctule's Wing HEALER - 96 MOONS - HE/HIM Once displaced from his home, Noctule's Wing holds much nostalgia for his original home and their ways. Having had a rough start in ShadowClan's midst, he's resistant to conforming to the Clan's ways and finds most comfort in the midst of other healers and his family. He most often wears a practiced calm, easy look to him in hopes of putting others at ease.

Pipistrellepetal HEALER - 59 MOONS - SHE/THEY/AER/VAE No matter what clan you're from, Pipistrellepetal is happy to help! This shadowclan healer who hails from the far off mountains is known to be Kind and a bit Scatter brained at times. Ae does worry often and works day and night to ensure the health of aer clan! Pipistrellepetal has a wonderful mate and five lovely kits! Despite her friendly air vae have yet to make too many friends outside the healers' den, but maybe soon they'll be able to make more!

Vividskies HEALER - 49 MOONS - HE/HY Mender of broken bones as well as a source of broken hearts, Vividskies was a bit unconventional of a pick to join Shadowclan’s team of Healers some twenty moons ago between his cross-clan heritage and capricious personality. While his only known parent Flurryfall isn't too fond of his antics, hys twin brother Quartzshard (both available as adopts) has only contributed to the chaos. Vividskies is a tom who prefers to spend his time on poetry and playing to hys whims over the politics of being a council member. Thankfully his skills in healing make up for it, though said whims have certainly gotten Vividskies in trouble before. At least hy now seems to be on the straight and narrow… things will be fine so long as no one finds out about his two mates in Thunderclan, right?

Flame's Light HEALER - 46 MOONS - HE/THEY Flame's Light is a red sepia lynx point with classic tabby stripes and chestnut brown eyes! Some other notable features are his sharp, overgrown canines and a mane of fluffy starting at his back leading up to his head! They are one of the healers of Shadowclan, starting their training very young at 6 moons all the way to gaining his name. He's an... interesting fellow, to say the least, and seems more focused on business than more casual activities. He is relatively polite, though, even if that thousand-yard-stare in his eyes might signal otherwise.

Sugartooth HEALER APPRENTICE - 114 MOONS - THEY/THEM A snappy old albino cat known for their short temper and fierce protectiveness. Sugartooth has seen ShadowClan through thick and thin, for better or for worse.

Applewish HEALER APPRENTICE - 32 MOONS - SHE/HER Daughter of the deputy, Applewish grew up wanting to be the best- and now that she's been given a second chance to become a healer, she's striving towards that goal harder than ever. Her ego can get in the way of her relationships with others, and she has a tendency to get snippy when tested, but she means the best for the clan.

Who's your favorite clangen cat?

how could you make me choose a favorite child /SILLY UHH LETS SEE.

First of all, I have Toadstar - who, actually, is the current leader of my first ever clan that i recently ported to the development version. She was the adopted by i'm pretty sure the clan's first healer, becoming the deputy after one of them had retired.

There's also Mintpoppy here who is just.. so tragic, she was adopted by Palewatcher who was the last of all the Clan founders to die, and her mentor was a separate founder named Mossbird, who she watched get killed by a dog. She was never the same and accidentally ended up killing another one of the founders, Shadetalon, who had been Mossbird's mentor.

I unfortunately don't have recent screenshots of these three because their clan is Mega Broken at the moment (im considering recreating it but thats over 100 cats id have to manually code in) anyway theyre all from dawnclan, darkclover was the deputy but she got paralyzed by a monster, didnt retire until she was actually an elder though. she was mates with oops (who actually died in an old patrol where she was training with the DF) but darkclover and mousestar had some VERY HIGH romantic AND platonic love for each other. daisytail fucking hated darkclover's GUTS for some reason and i was really just waiting to see if darkclover would get murdered one day but it never happened.

and then in yet another clan, webclan, is this man right here. his challenge was the raven challenge from the clangen discord, specifically the cult of the raven challenge that switched some of the rules around. he was a huge supporter of the corrupt deputy but he was also kinda just a really pleasant guy? his first interaction with another clan was just being super friendly towards them and i reallly should have made him a mediator tbh. unfortunately after a couple of in-game years he got yellowcough and died shortly after :pensive: rip king you will be missed

I recently opened up for some trades at @sotcwcrp I had a blast with all the kitties that were offered to me to draw! <3 I don't know, well anyone's tumblr names, but I put the name and who plays them in the picture descriptions.

Oh, and I also don't understand the prefixes Tiger, Leopard, and Lion. Like, how do they know about them???

I would name Tigerclaw to smth like Shadeclaw or Shadetalon > Shadestar! I would also rename Tigerheart to Emberwhisker because naming your son after your evil dad is.... yeeesh, and Flametail and Dawnpelt have fire related prefixes (I consider Dawn as fire related because it's the rising of the sun which is kinda fire related) and body related suffixes!

Leopardfur to maybe Goldenripple because bengal dapples kinda look like circular water ripples! Plus, the ripple suffix needs more love and I like Goldenstar as a name.

I would rename Lionheart and Lioneye to Fuzzheart and Suneye!

I always assumed nonClan cats learned stories, joined the Clans, and then it just kinda got spread around?

plus I think it's funny that they know these things

it makes the world more interesting imo

though I do think these alt names are pretty cool

This is dedicated to @seawarrenmess, thank you for your interest XD I only did the Detective Agency and Port Mafia (at least for now) because turns out there are a lot of characters! Some were difficult so definitely feel free to give feedback and suggestions! This applies to anyone! Any idea for clan names?

Armed Detective Agency: - Fukuzawa - Silverstar - leader (he was formerly known as Silver Wolf in canon) - Kunikida - Scatteredleaf - deputy (this was a hard one I've used the etymology from the fandom wikia on a lot of these but i dunno how correct that is) - Yasona - Clearpetal - medicine cat (the etymology and she likes flowers) - Ranpo - Swiftriver (etymology, he is swift at thinking) - Dazai - Darkbreeze - he left the Port Mafia for reasons unknown (soukoku translation is Twin Dark on the wikia. I will be taking alternate suggestions for this one) - Junichiro - Clearmist (illusions are not clear? this is either clever or stupid) - Kenji - Rain - he was a rouge who hung out around a farm until it caught fire (this is referencing his ability name) - Atsushi - Tigerheart - abandoned kittypet who took a clan name (...he is a tiger i dunno what to tell you, I'm very creative) - Kyouka - Snow - she was also an abandoned kittypet, she was chased out of Port Mafia territory (Demon Snow, like I said I'm very creative)

Port Mafia: - Mori - Briarstar - leader (etymology, I tried) - Chuuya - Shadowsong - deputy? (the whole dark/black thing, his chanting for corruption comes from a stanza of Sheep Song, according to the wikia trivia. I like this one) - Kyouyou - Goldenleaf - medicine cat? (her ability + etymology) - Akutagawa - Shadetalon (i had trouble with this one but I imagine he would have real sharp claws) - Higuchi - Hollowstep (she is devoted to Akutagawa? so without that she is hollow?? this is a total stretch, please help) - Hirotsu - Fallenwillow (Ability + etymology) - Gin - Silverstream (etymology again. there's a canon cat with this name but I like it so whatever.) - Tachihara - Snowrise (ability + etymology. this was also difficult)

What's New in the Roleplay:

Gosh, lots has happened, hasn't it? Let's catch up!

★ — The tensest Gathering in history takes place as ThunderClan and RiverClan are at war and WindClan and ShadowClan are rapidly devolving into bloody conflict.

★ — Agatemoon, Amberbark, Apollowing, Arrownight, Coriandersong, Huckleblossom, Icestorm, and Poppyfrost of WindClan have received new names.

★ — Sorrelpaw and Littlepaw gained their warrior names: Sorrelsong and Littledipper.

★ — Finchwatcher and Cottonblaze died in a cave in while fighting Russetfox.

★ — Whisperstar warns ShadowClan that they are outside of the code, and if they continue to use the cavern discovered after the earthquake, there will no longer be room for words.

★ — Smewpaw, Wrenpaw, and Gracklepaw have all been made apprentices of RiverClan. Gracklepaw joins the medicine den.

★ — Ripplestar shares news that ThunderClan has been trespassing.

★ — Saberstar announces the apprenticeships of his four kits; Wisppaw, Flarepaw, Ashenpaw, and the new medicine cat apprentice, Flamepaw.

What's New on the Server:

We're always growing and changing.

★ — Staff has been divided up into moderators and editors! Moderators will remain the face of the server, while editors will work more behind the scenes. Our editors as of now are being led by Chinch Bug of ShadowClan, and include Ice of WindClan and Vale of RiverClan!

★ — We have opened up staff applications again, for both moderators and editors! Moderators must be 18+ but editors can be of any age.

★ — Any incoming HRs must now be 18+!

★ — Mudstorm, now Mudstar selects Chrysanthemumstare as Riverclan’s new deputy. 

★ — Snailwind is the deputy of Windclan. 

★ — Shadowclan undergoes new management as well, Duckstar as their new leader and Shadetalon as their deputy. 

Rank Changes:

★ — An outsider named Milk joins Riverclan.

★ — Tulippaw joins Thunderclan’s apprentices and is trained under Hawkfall. 

★ — Echoheart has graduated to the position of a full medicine cat. 

★ — Mudstar and Lightstep have a litter of two kits, Horizonkit and Dapplekit. 

★ — Shadowclan loses a handful of cats, their old deputy Darkpelt, a senior medicine cat, Marsheart and a few warriors, Morningdapple, Timbermist and Runningwind.

★ — Whisperstar, Foxheart and Rosehip have been gifted their own litter of three; Twitchkit, Pumpkinkit and Violetkit.

★ — Three new kits were born to Cricketpounce and Shadetalon; Twigkit, Rootkit and Applekit. 

★ — There’s two new warriors in Shadowclan, Lavenderbee and  Laurelblossom. 

Other News:

★ — Driven out by wolfdogs, Shadowclan seeks refuge in Thunderclan and Windclan finds safety in Riverclan. 

★ — These same wolfdogs have been heard by the outsiders near the farm and graveyard. 

★ — Hawkfall and Fernpath of Thunderclan have a wedding!  

★ — Percy, Shelly and Morpheus are living with the kittypets. 

★ — Crowley, Tamerlane and Orbit are living with the street cats. 

★ — Lenore, Nadria and Akila are seeking shelter with Rye at the farm. 

★ — Whisperstar pleads with the other clans and the outsiders to band together in preparation to drive the wolfdogs out. The leaders agree, including Bunni who is speaking for the outsiders. 

What’s New on the Server:

★ — We had our one year anniversary! 

★ — Beau has graduated into a full Tunderclan Staff Member. 

★ — Windclan has two new SITs; Hickory & Jene. 

★ — We’ve also got two promotions! Rosie and Wren have been moved to Lead Staff. 

★ — Each clan has been granted 6 new channels to expand on their camp and territory. 

★ — Along with this they also received a current events and questboard channel. 

★ — Our server has now moved into Leaf-Fall! 

Opening News:

★ — Our server will be open indefinitely for Outsiders! These groups include; kittypets, farm cats, street cats and graveyard cats.
