Jess listening to Love Burns while he’s with Shane in the diner apartment is so insane of him. From his point of view, that song is totally about Rory leaving for Washington and staying there the whole summer — without a word to him — right after he comes back to Stars Hollow just for her.

I guess that’s his version of Rory’s “I’m not going to pine!” and then going “You know, I’ve thought about this. A lot!” 😂
