Wasn't planning on buying more dice so quickly after the last batch - But when I found no loose d6s at the local gaming store to use for my trinkets for the Christmas thing my family does, I decided just to order a pack online.

(I'm keeping at least the one set of 5 for myself, yes. I am indeed too much of a dice goblin to not)

While browsing, I saw the Bag of Splendor once more - And considering it's 20 sets for the price I paid for like 2-3 of the other sets I just got, and I was already getting an order shipped to me, I figured "may as well" y'know?

Wiz Dice's sets aren't as fancy as some makers' - But they always have such unique, neat colours.

The Over-Analyzer's Guide to Tritypes

If you’re anything like me, you probably have difficulty figuring out your tritype.  The more profiles you read, the more confused you become.  So you try to look at each enneagram individually, to fit together what makes sense… and it just doesn’t happen.  Well, fear not, for I have come this day to (maybe) lift the confusion from your mind and the tired look from your brow. 

As I scrolled yet another page on tritypes, I came across something from Katherine Fauvre (which she only did for like, three of the profiles, of course).  I was able to pick out the pattern of what she did, and am about to list out how to at least lower your potential tritype options.  She used a three words to describe the goal of the tritype, and here is how each is broken down. 

1-ethical

2-helpful

3-efficient

4-original

5- wise

6-certain

7-upbeat

8- straight-forward

9- peaceful

So, as she did for three of the profiles, you can find yourself base on what you want to be (which is great for those of us who don’t know what we’re LIKE). Figure out which set of words resonate with you most (I personally can immediately eliminate all of the 8’s and 9’s)

I have a list of ~900 albums from 2019 that I still want to eventually listen to / review [IMPOSSIBLE PROJECT ALERT]

For this project (already 125+ releases deep), which is just impossibly daunting and makes me head hurt. IDK how to streamline this process or is any “critic” out there really listening to “all” the good music? It’s impossible I guess... MAGNOLIA, Ark – After playing their last six games on the road, the Great American Conference leading Southern Arkansas University softball team will return to Magnolia as they are set to take on the Harding University Bisons in a three game GAC series. The Muleriders 23-12 (16-4 GAC) sit alone on top of the GAC standings, while Harding 27-11 (14-7 GAC) currently sits in third place. The three-game series will get started tomorrow evening at 5:00 p.m. followed by a double-header on Saturday that is set to start at 1:00 p.m. SAU went 5-1 on their road trip, as they swept Southeastern Oklahoma State University two weeks ago and then took two of three from Henderson State University a week ago. The Muleriders were supposed to play two more games on the road this past Wednesday against Arkansas-Monticello, but the double-header since been rescheduled to April 13th due to rain earlier in the week. HU picked up a GAC sweep over Monticello last weekend, but they fell in a midweek contest to Arkansas Tech on Tuesday 2-0. The Bisons are 6-3 in their last nine contests. The Muleriders are 10-1 at home this season and will look to add to that number as they battle with the Bisons. SAU has outscored its opponents 170-87 on the year and have outhit their opponents 257-194, with Jade Miller leading SAU in both of those categories. J. Miller leads the team with 49 hits and 33 runs, while also leading Jason Anderson's squad in batting average (.392), number of total bases (84), home runs (9), and slugging percentage (.672). Jaxynn Dyson and Alese Casper have shown great offensive production as they have each collected 32 hits this season, while Madison Miller has notched 22 base hits. Dyson leads SAU with 25 RBI, while Casper ranks second on the team with 28 runs. Tiare Lee is tied with J. Miller with 22 RBI while M. Miller and Sarah Evans both have knocked in 18 runs. Dyson has hit seven home runs on the season, followed by Evans (6), Lee (5), and M. Miller (4). Taylor Murphy and Casper lead the team with 14 walks apiece. Kiana Pogroszewski and Sydney Ward have both collected 10 wins in the circle for the Muleriders. Pogroszewski leads the squad with a 1.10 ERA and 83 strikeouts through 83.0 innings pitched. Ward has tossed a team high 84.0 innings to go along with 79 strikeouts. KP and Ward both have tossed six complete games with KP collecting three shutouts. Baylie Thornhill ranks second on the team with a 1.83 ERA through 30.2 innings pitched. Thornhill has struck out 33 batters and has allowed 11 runs (eight earned) on 30 hits. Macie Welch has picked up two wins for SAU to go along with a team leading three saves. The Memphis transfer has struck out 39 batters through 37.2 innings pitched. The Bisons come into this weekend's series having outscored their opponents 237-173 and outhitting them 359-251. Harding has four players that are hitting .378 or better, as Emma Curry and Nicole Sano lead the team with a .415 average. Leigha Harris is batting .388 while Chelsea Blankenship is hitting .378. All four players have 44+ hits as Shano leads the team with 51. Blanenship has collected 48 base knocks, followed by Harris (47) and Curry (44). Shano leads the team with 41 RBI and 13 home runs. Megan Pistokache leads HU in the circle with a 10-4 record and has pitched 100.1 innings. Pistokache has surrendered 122 hits and 63 runs (56 earned) to go along with 56 strikeouts. Lily Tanski has also seen a decent amount of time in the circle as she has collected eight wins through 83.2 innings of work.

The most extreme Tritypes

As seen from the Big Five system, each Enneagram type can be set on a scale of Agreebleness, Conscientiousness, Openness, Extraversion, and Emotional stability. For example, Type 1 is the most conscientious while Type 7 and 9 are the least conscientious. Most types can be found on a conversion chart that has been circulating online titled “Table 2. Big 5 Enneagram profile patterns.” (the source is unknown to me) and I base my findings on the 5-step scale used there.

When combining three types to make a Tritype, each Tritype will have a unique combined value for each trait. Having made a spreadsheet, I can already state the obvious that Tritype 126 is the most conscientious tritype along with five other Tritypes that start with 1. The least conscientious are 479, 379 and 279, scored equally. Below are my some of my more advanced findings. I sorted the Tritypes according to how much they differ from the average in all of the Big Five traits, in other words, how extreme and weird they are compared to the average person. Note that in real people, the particular order of the Types within the Tritype does affect this generalisation. Here I make no difference between primary type and tertiary type for example, I speak about that Tritype in general.

Roles, Inequality, and Blogging Rationale

Support Our Troops through Better Transition Assistance for their Children- A Call for Empirical Research to Increase Positive Social Change

           The movement of Supporting Our Troops has expanded to include military-affiliated families as a whole unit.  Although several programs have been developed to assist these families few have been evaluated for efficacy after development and implementation.  The specific program of interest for this blog is the Student 2 Student Transition Support Program, which was designed to assist recently relocated students through transitions into a new community and school with peer mentorship.  The goal of the future blog is to assist with increasing awareness of S2S’s existence, improve its utilization, and bring attention to the need for empirical research on S2S’s efficacy.  For this part of the blog planning, psychology’s role in the past, present, and future will be discussed as well as the multicultural concerns and a possible publishing site will be identified.

Role of Psychology

Psychology has assisted in the development of S2S through the Secondary Education Transition Study (SETS), which was funded by the U.S. Army to evaluate the needs of recently relocated students with military affiliation (Military Child Education Coalition [MCEC], 2001).  The data collected from SETS was incorporated into the development of S2S and also supported its implementation into schools (MCEC, 2015).  Although the program was created with military-affiliated students in mind, all recently relocated students are welcomed by S2S at participating schools (MCEC, 2015).  A specific ethnicity or race is not assisted by this program.  Instead, S2S targets all recently relocated students, who are a multicultural group within themselves.  The current role of psychology is to draw attention to the need for future action to evaluate the efficacy of this program (Conforte et al, 2017; Forum on Health and National Security, 2014; Park, 2011).

Currently, 206 high schools have an active S2S program (MCEC, 2016).  The strengths and weakness of the program at achieving their goals is speculated and lack empirical support.  It is hopeful for the program to continue to expand and improve recently relocated student’s ability to transition into a new school.  As the program continues to expand and reach the lives of more students, efficacy evaluation becomes more imperative.  Psychology can fulfill the role of maximizing understanding of what is needed for new students to successfully transition into the complex social settings at each school and ensure equal education for all students (Weinstein, Gregory, & Stambler, 2004).  In an effort to ensure school connectivity is being enhanced, evaluation is the next component (Forum on Health and National Security, 2014).

New students are a multicultural population in need of support from parents, peers and faculty to successfully transition into a new school and community (MCEC, 2001).  Sadly, these students often tend to blend in with the majority population after enrollment and experience greater risk to their academic achievement and extracurricular participation (Bradshaw, Sudhinaraset, Mmari, & Blum, 2010).  Risks can include possible preexisting biases (Katz, 2003) or various group norms that are unknown as a newcomer (Crandall, Eshleman, & O’Brien, 2002).  Both of these may hinder the recently relocated student’s ability to socialize with new peers and during adolescence, peer relationships are vital to development (Berk, 2012).  Schools often fall short in assisting these students and their families (Aronson & Perkins, 2013).  Weinstein Gregory, and Strambler’s (2004) statement supports that positive influences can outweigh negative ones and increase resiliency, which supports that positive social change may exist for those who participate in S2S as mentors and mentees but the empirical support is lacking.  Again, this highlights the need for more evaluation to support this claim.

Possible Publishing Site

           Russell (2014) indicates that tumblr is a newly popular blog site.  Tumblr combines blogging and social media to create a user-friendly site that appeals to younger crowds.  S2S is for students and this format may increase their likelihood of seeing my future blogs.  Having students request for an S2S program to be started at their school would increase the number of active programs and expand its ability to promote social change. This site may also reach recently relocated students who are in need of support and may benefit from realizing they are not alone.  Tumblr also allows for posts to be connected to Facebook or Twitter to increase visibility (https://www.tumblr.com).  The user-friendly site and appeal to younger populations make Tumblr a viable option for publishing my blog.  Tumblr also has a large teacher/educator audience looking for more ways to assist their students (https://www.tumblr.com).  Ads may be included in the blog and it has a less professional appearance, which are both downsides (Russell, 2014).  However, the less professional appearance may be better suited to reaching my desired population.  Russell (2014) points out that many bloggers use this site and another more professionally appearing site.  After becoming more familiar with blogging, this may be an option for continuing awareness and requesting studies for S2S.  As a new blogger looking for an audience of students, educators, and school psychologists, Tumblr appears to be a viable option.

           Psychology’s role has assisted S2S to be developed and implemented.  However, the role has continued into awareness and evaluation of efficacy. The multicultural population of recently relocated students deserve more than simply blending into the crowd. This population deserves to be supported through transitions by their peers, faculty members, and parents. More is needed for social change to be ensured.
