Haruhi x Hikaru from ouran high school host club. Yes i know she technically gets together with another boy in the end, but there is something so Queer about this ship in particular. Their whole date episode is just screaming Not Straight. For both of them.

They’re basically set up as a kind of enemies to friends story and they make recurring jokes about how she clearly has a big crush on him, but nothing ever happens My childhood, i shipped them when I was 10

cali and flynn:

It starts off as a one-sided crush on Flynn’s side, and later becomes mutual when Cali develops feelings for him in the Skylanders IDW spin-off comics, their romantic tension lasts for most of the franchise (five games, a chapter of a spin-off comic, and a few bits and pieces in the spin-off books and mobile games), so far they’ve never gotten together as the franchise is currently still in hiatus mode (says this while on extreme copium) I think we need to appreciate the tropes in Calynn: Opposites Attract, Tough Girl x Himbo, Smart x Dumb, “You’re stupid, I like that in a man” vibes all over this ship! Seven year old me didn’t see Cali calling Flynn her guy in the sky whilst Flynn looked at her with heart eyes to lose to some other pairing!

alec hardy and ellie miller:

They're your classic workplace enemies to lovers. Alec takes the job that Ellie was meant for, they're forced to work together on a devastating murder case, they bond. Over three series Alec becomes more human and lets his walls down around Ellie, and she begins to respect and trust him as a colleague and as a friend. Its a Big Deal when they hug. In most cases, especially when it's an m/f detective duo, they would end up together. But yet. Thee David Tennant and Olivia Coleman did not even have an aborted kiss or feelings confession. Neither of them end up with anyone else but they don't hint at anything at the end either. Queer Ally of all time David Tennant does straightbait ironically.

I caved and decided to do this year's Skytober Prompts!

But to be nice to my ADHD brain, I decided to draw only colored sketches with some slight to not-so-slight redesigns! (I know the 25th prompt is "Redesign" which clashes a bit with my decision, BUT I'LL DEAL WITH THAT WHEN WE GET THERE SO SHUSH!!)

Prompt 1 "Supercharger": Spitfire! Because he's my favorite Supercharger! Even gave him a little black heart and white cheek scar (Dark Spitfire's mark)

Prompt 2 "Core": Gill Grunt! Because he's my favorite Skylander of all time! Gave him fish whiskers that catfish have and a battle scar on his shoulder! He probably has more scars around his body.

Prompt 3 "Fire": Hot Dog! CUZ HE'S A GOOD PUPPER!! Design him a bit like a pitbull pup because I love pitbulls! They have such BIG smiles!!

Prompt 4 "Series 2/3/4": Series 3 Spryo! Because I love his big ram horns!! Gave him a little black scar on his chest (Dark Spyro's mark)

Prompt 5 "Trap Team": Engima! Folks that know me know exactly why I picked him! Had a redesign of him already, so I used that design instead! It's a lot easier for me to draw that design than his canon one lol!

Prompt 6 "Water": Punk Shock! Because I think she's underrated and deserves more love from the fandom! Gave cool fishy eyelashes to make her eyes pop out more!

Prompt 7 "Lightcore": Shroom Boom! Because he's the only Lightcore I actually own (i think)! Gave him little freckles cuz their cute!

Prompt 8 "NPC": The Machine Ghost from Giants! Because DAMNIT I WILL NOT LET THEM, THEIR SACRIFICE, AND THEM SAVING OUR ASSES AGAIN DURING THE ROBO KAOS FIGHT BE FORGOTTEN!! Gave him those circuitboard line thingys on their face to make him more "techie" and gave some shine to the gear on their chest to make it pop out more.

OKAY SURE. so i will tell you a bit about skylanders. the protag of the skylanders games aren't actually the skylanders. since you can swap to any skylander at any time, you can't really give them this unique role. actually, YOU, the player, are the main character. you are a Portal Master who uses the Portal of Power to bring skylanders back to their home dimension of skylands (putting the toy on the portal) after they were banished to earth and turned into statues (toys.) by the villain. so frequently people in the story will refer to The Portal Master. it doesn't actually play a role in the story that much but ive always found it neat that the sort of meta-element in toys to life is there. there's no Infinityster in Disney Infinity, no Amiibo Lord in amiibo, no Dimension Keeper in Lego Dimensions... but for skylanders, the actual act of putting the toy on the portal is incorporated into the story of the game. i think that's such a cool way to do it.

ANYWAYS. skylands is your typical Fantasy Land brimming with magic. there are other Portal Masters in skylands but theyre mostly gone. as of right now the only ones are you the player, this old guy named Master Eon, and a Dark Portal Master who is the villain of the games named Kaos. basically if invader zim was human. i do mean that literally. the big macguffin centerpiece of the magic in skylands is called the Core of Light so the first game starts with kaos destroying that. and it's up to us the portal master to send skylanders back to skylands temporarily in order to stop this looming threat.

throughout the series you also need people to bounce off and follow in cutscenes, so you do get a trio of deuteragonists as well! flynn, an egotistical pilot, hugo, a nervous scholar, and cali, who's spunky and helps train skylanders. they're pretty cute i grew to love them as time went on

anyways yeah thats basically the story. the Good Guys try to stop the Bad Guy from whatever New Macguffin pops up, which is typically tied into a brand spanking new line of Collectible Toys. capitalism rejoice.

skylanders giants (game 2)- kaos tries to revive this lost ancient civilization full of EVIL ROBOTS (COOL AS HELL) named the arkeyans. some really big skylanders called the giants got banished by the arkeyans a long time ago. i really like the arkeyans, i think the concept of skylands having this fantasy-robot ancient civilization instead of a future civilization is just. chefs kiss. the arkeyans dont exactly go away in the series either, cos even though they never get a major role again, you still see them in setpieces and stuff. my favourite level in the next game is an ARKEYAN GRAVEYARD. LIKE HELLO!! THATS SO COOL

this is the old arkeyan king, with his Iron Fist of Arkus, but FUN FACT, THERE ARE A FEW ARKEYANS WHO ARE SKYLANDERS!!

that first guy, krypt king, is all the way from game 4. so yeah the arkeyans are always subtly there. love it love it.

skylanders swap force (game 3)- the dev studio switches from toys for bob to vicarious visions, and to reflect that, there ends up being an entirely new Locale and Supporting Cast. flynn takes a vacation to the Cloudbreak Islands and meets some new other furries. these islands have these four Elementals who can do a magic eruption thing at a volcano. very powerful-old-magic of them. the swap force are skylanders who can swap tops and bottoms (the NFC tech on these were actually quite impressive) and kaos' plan ties into the gimmick because this magic volcano blast that banished the swap force way back when is happening again and he wants to use it to Turn Everything Evil with evil crystals. lovely

this dude is straight up a chocobo

skylanders trap team (game 4)- NEW GAME NEW GIMMICK. basically back in the day there were these Really Big Bad Villains called the Doom Raiders who get locked in prison with this nigh-unbreakable material called Traptanium. but kaos is an idiot who breaks them out because he knows no peace. the skylanders this time are called Trap Masters because they all have traptanium weapons (crystal weapons that kinda rocks) and another gimmick is that they sold these little plastic traps in stores and had a new slot in the portal where you could capture villains and play with them and theyd commentate on how you did. toys for bob is also back so they went back to the original supporting cast but they did add some new faces

there the doom raiders are ^ thats kaos in the middle btw. neglected to show you him but there he is. i think their designs are pretty cool. i like them :] this is the game that got me into skylanders but my little brother had been collecting them since spyro's adventure

skylanders superchargers (game 5)- so uh. this game's gimmick is Cars?

yeah. but also for some unexplainable reason, the plot this time is about THE END OF THE WORLD. the literal embodiment of darkness (...creatively just called The Darkness yeah i know.) has Reawakened and is basically using kaos as a pawn to destroy skylands to harvest its Surplus of Magic so he can use it as fuel to CONQUER other worlds. greater-good-of-bad type of thing. but kaos is REALLY hung up on that fact. because he really wants to RULE the world, not destroy it. for some reason. almost like he was an unloved child who finds solace in evil and was always seeking that twisted sort of validation and belonging. who knows. who knows. not me. maybe im looking too deep into this. he fires the only person whos ever stuck by him but when the world is Almost destroyed he realizes his mistakes and turns on the darkness and helps defeat it basically. and that means all his dark powers are gone but he says he'll work as the skylanders' Evil Consultant. basically antihero-redeemed. i kinda love that. and i realize how similar this sounds to a plot of a certain movie to Those Who Know. which may explain why i love this game.

skylanders imaginators (game 6)- WHY IS THIS SERIES STILL GOING THAT WAS A PERFECT ENDING. anyways the skylanders brand has for a while now been selling us junk that Arent skylanders figures. in trap team there were the traps in superchargers there were cars. and now. These

now YOU can create your OWN SKYLANDER! WOWWWWWW!! idk im over it. imaginators you are nothing to me. they did also have a line of regular figures to pick up called Senseis. those were cool. kaos finally got a proper figure. that was cool. but the plot has kaos going back to his Old Ways and using the magic you use to create your own skylanders to create his own evil doomlanders. and by the end he goes super saiyan. and he becomes tiny and they lock him in a jar. and that's how the series ends now. thanks imaginators.

they also have a core lineup of original skylanders (like the aforementioned stealth elf! and spyro and eruptor and shit) who would tag along with you on levels to get Synergy with the brand-new netflix series Skylanders Academy. yeah sure who even cares anymore. (IM SORRY I DONT LIKE IMAGINATORS. I AM NOT IMMUNE TO MY OWN PROPAGANDA)

I got here a concept sheet for Alexander that gives a little more information into certain parts of his design. I had a lot of fun playing with his colors again, and I think they came out great, even with some of my accidental hiccups.

I love how his sword and shield came out. It was fun to think about how Alex actually uses his tools. The transforming shield was actually my idea, it's a little nod to his series 3 figure, but with a twist. His main sword was probably my favorite part of his design, with its colors and unique shape.

Now its time for Gold's exposition time!

Alex and Eon spent many years wandering the Skylands, immersing themselves in the diverse cultures and peoples—from the towering peaks of the Cloudbreak Spine to the icy expanse of the Frozen Reaches. Along the way, Alex absorbed many of his friend’s teachings, particularly the principle of words before fists—or, at the very least, standing imposingly while someone else did the talking.

The death of the last portal master sparked the Chaos Wars, shattering the delicate balance of the elements and plunging the Skylands into discord. In the chaos that followed, powers both great and small vied for dominance, each seeking to claim the fractured world for themselves.

When Eon met his end at the hands of The Hydra, Alex's reaction was… muted. He was no stranger to death, having ventured into the darkest, most desolate corners of the Skylands and, being a creature of undeath himself, he understood its inevitability. There was no surprise, no mourning—only a detached recognition that it was, simply, the way of mortal life.

During the Chaos Wars, Alex’s role shifted. While he still preferred diplomacy and guiding others through quiet observation—silently staring at them until they figured out the lesson they needed to learn—he wasn't completely stationary. During missions, Alex often made himself the center of attention, drawing the enemy’s focus onto himself to keep his allies safe. He was an unflinching shield, deflecting blows, allowing his comrades to strike without fear of injury. His presence was a calculated distraction, a subtle yet effective tactic in the thick of battle.

Perhaps most uniquely, Alex is one of the few who can communicate directly with Eon’s spirit, which still watches over the Skylands. Their conversations, often brief but meaningful, serve as a silent thread connecting the past with the present, offering guidance and wisdom when needed most. In this way, Alex became less a fighter and more a strategic force, guiding the Skylanders with both his physical presence and his quiet counsel.

Either for the PS5 or upcoming PS6.

The rating of this game would be ESRB T (Teen) in North America, CERO C (Ages 15 and up) in Japan, and PEGI 12 (Suitable for ages 12 and up) or even PEGI 16 (For ages 16 and up) in Europe.

The content of the game:

Fantasy violence, Blood, Language, Suggestive themes, Mild use of drugs of alcohol, & Sexual themes. Oh yeah, there would be certain reasons why this game would be rated T/C/12(or 16) with this kind of content. Remember when Ratchet & Clank games use to be rated T and toned down to E10+? Or remember that Jak & Daxter was franchise for a teen audience? But do you remember how the Sly Cooper series was always rated E and E10+.

The game would be action/adventure filled with female empowerment.

Plus, a very interesting and sweet storyline were while being the unexpected ones to save and protect their worlds as some unknown force is what mixing their universes dangerously, the 3 heroines help each other out and blossom a close, strong, deep and loving bond together.

Do you all know what would also be cool? If Richard Steven Horvitz (roles include Daggert of The Angry Beaver, Zim of Invader Zim, Billy of The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy, Raz of Psychonauts, Kaos of Skylanders, and Moxxie of Helluva Boss) were to have a voice role the game either as a badass close ally/handler or one of the villains to the 3 heroines!

What if it will be a huge extremely, unexpected surprise that this game will turn out to sell really good around the globe?! It'll be the one crossover game that fans have never asked for! Plus, imagine in the one country, this upcoming PlayStation game will be selling even better. And that one country will be Japan! Japan would end up making lots of advertising with entertaining commercials and 3D digital billboards in Shibuya of Tokyo, and merchandise like figures and anime-style posters. Hell, there could even be a Japanese dub for the game too!

Imagine these brand new seiyuus (who are also singers) for the "PlayStation Move Heroines":

The 3 Playstation Femme Fatales standing next to each other. Talwyn in the center, Keira in the right, and Carmelita in the left. And they happen to be wearing what look like hooded black suits that are similar to the skydiving stealth suits of Deku (Izuku Midoriya), Dynamight (Katsuki Bakugou) and Shoto (Shoto Todoroki) from the movie My Hero Academia: World Heroes Mission, but only combined together with what looks like the black catsuit of Nancy Makuhari aka Miss Deep of Read or Die. There’s something I like to call “senses of a villain”, What does this mean?

It means they have certain things to make them feel like a threat

“Sense of control” which is the villain having followers, Allie’s, things he can use to manipulate the chessboard (for example the evil king has a army) Gabriel feels to lack sources, he’s a millionaire but never use that money for anything outside of the alliance which is a bit of a dumb plan since what would happen if the heroes discover the rings have miraculous essence inside? I would hired mercenaries to get rid of the heroes, bought the local news to spreed bad news only or find a way to make the people of Paris feel more negativity, and he wouldn’t need to depend on freaking Chloe bourgeois for reliable akumas. Of course this could be good in a underdog type of villain like the Batman villains which depend on giving it all to stay afloat, but Gabriel is a millionaire which says enough

“Sense of evil” which is the villain feeling evil, yes Gabriel is evil, but he doesn’t feel like a villain but more like nuisance, which is good for redeemable villains, too bad he’s done unforgivable things, which could be productive for the sense of evil hit he never makes me feel ‘oh god, this is a monster’ like Mecha Godzilla (from GvK) which killed the human who resurrected him and started killing civilians for the Evilulz. Gabriel always feels like they try to make him evil but is just making him hate-able since they still try to make him sympathetic (is like making frieza a father for sympathetic points but he’s a abusive father, also fun fact, Frieza is a canonical father and a much better one than Gabriel!) and me saying him being a worse father than Frieza has a insult rather than a compliment shows I don’t hate his character for being evil but hate him for being incompetent, inconsistent and incoherent

“Sense of Power” season 2 put him defeating cat and bug, great! Then in season 3 he doesn’t fight and gives the box to Chloe, then his ultimate plan in 4 utterly loses, and in season 5 he gets trapped and signs his own death for going in a stupid fetch quest, gets defeated with 99% of the miraculous against powerless kids and he can’t defeat cat-bug!!! A sense of power is showing the villain is powerful, for example i feel Kaos from skylanders (which is just magic invader zim) is stronger than Gabriel since even after a couple of defeat he’s consistently one of the strongest characters when playable and one of the strongest bosses with and without power ups, Gabriel kept that image of power after showing he was stronger in season 2, but after so many dumb decisions made the audience undertake his a ability’s and in season 5 he loses fights more than even when he’s supposed to be stronger!!!

Gabriel is supposed to be a rich, tragic and powerful villain who should be taken seriously

But the series instead shows me a poor, pathetic and weak villain which loses for having the Brain and strength of a blob fish

Gabriel really fails at being a compelling villain the longer the show goes on. It's why I think he should have been defeated by the end of Season 3 at the latest.

And remember, Lila's going to be his replacement as the show's main villain.

okay, of all things, i’ve got to say that i love that all of jet-vac’s additional series concepts is just “what if he has MORE GUN?”

also i fucked up my filter settings halfway through so that’s gonna be fun to accurately recalibrate

also also i don’t think you understand how much of a PAIN breaking this down into assets/elements this was because of how everything is either the same gray or black color PLUS shading. agony.

y are u an eruptor hater ?

1. The lava barf only became an actual attack until his series 3 wow pow in Swap Force. So for two games, his "marketable ability" was a lie (this is more of a pet peeve compared to the other reasons why I dislike the lava boi)

2. Barf jokes aren't my thing. I apologize if you find them funny yourself, but the humor just doesn't land well with me. To me, Eruptor should see a doctor or something, not use his indigestion as an attack/quirk.

3. Out of all the Skylanders Toys For Bob could have used as the "marketable mascot", they picked HIM. The Skylander used for the floats to represent the games during the Macy's Thanksgiving Parades? ALL ERUPTOR. Who was the "just there to be marketable" character in Skylanders Academy? ERUPTOR. Who's face is on most of the merchandise I'vs seen through my childhood? You guessed it, ERUPTOR! Not Stealth Elf, not Gill Grunt, not Trigger Happy, not Chop Chop, or any other Skylander that could've perfectly represented the franchise. IT WAS ALL ERUPTOR. And just really annoys the shit out of me.

4. Speaking of Skylanders Academy, the dude looks really ugly in the show. I mean, almost every Skylander looked kinda ugly in that show, but Eruptor was just one of the worse ones that the show done dirty. (I've already ranted about Skylanders Academy on a different ask a year ago, so y'all probably understand my distaste of that show too)

DISCLAIMER: If you guys do enjoy him, that's fine by me. Trust me, the last thing I wanna do is be that one negative nancy that ruins the fun for everyone.

Eruptor is a good Skylander play-wise and I had him myself as my first Fire Elemental Skylander back in the first game.

I didn't hate him as a child, just saw him as "one of the boysss" (if that makes sense).

My hatred towards him is only a thing now as an adult is just because I'm just annoyed with him being everywhere and being gassy.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that I actually DO like that level in Imaginators where Eruptor ask you to make a giant cake to trick Kaos with. That level was actually really fun and I enjoyed Eruptor's commentary (tho the continuation of the stomach issues gags still don't land with me)
