I'm not surprised Saeroyi fell out of love with Soo-ah. Soo-ah did diddly squat for him after he got out of prison and somehow thought that after 15 years, she had nothing to worry about from another girl who would literally move heaven and earth to make Saeroyi happy.

Saeroyi seems like a square character who doesn't change, but 15 years would affect anyone's priorities. Of course he'd evaluate to see who always had his back and conclude that was Yiseo.

Yes, he liked Soo-ah for a long time, but Soo-ah was just the obvious, straightforward choice for a simple person like him. She sat on her laurels too long waiting for him to work his way into her arms, and Yi-seo put in the work to change his mind.
