Jewel was spoiled with affection by all the adults in the household. Villanelle missed holding a baby in her arms and since having another seemed to be unlikely, she decided to open a daycare from the home.

Ayame decided to tell Ajisai immediately. He was immediately interested in the mystery. He had always liked solving puzzles and the situation reminded him of a set up of one of the mystery novels he liked to read. Ayame joked that it really just sounds like a heck of a party and that was what really attracted him. Ajisai ignored her joke but agreed that it probably wasn’t an actual secret just people who don’t want to admit their not quite legal substance usage, blacking out under the influence and the place where it happened likely moved around. Ayame determined that her brother was too serious and no fun.

Sonnet and Villanelle got along well though Sonnet worried about encroaching on the young family. Even more so now that Jade was pregnant but Villanelle confided that it was nice to have a large household especially since she had not conceived since her son was born despite many attempts.

Things changed when Jade disappeared. Ayame was the first to ask Senryu if he knew anything more than the fact that she was gone. The worst part was that she was gone for days before anyone noticed. At first the household had thought she had found her own place but hadn’t said anything which was rude but when her work reported her missing it was time to worry.

Senryu and Tanka’s court dates arrived and the household was tense since depending on how things went the twins could be heading back to China and be separated from their family or they could stay and at least until Haiku’s date the family would be together. Tanka admitted that since their parents had died long before he could could remember them he thought of Botan as a father but while he didn’t see Sonnet as a mother, he loved her dearly as his aunt.

Vitrail then passed away after outliving most of her family by a long while. Still the household was left in tears at her passing even if it was a long time coming.

It was a joyous day though since their fears did not come true. The boys were permitted to stay since they had lived most of their lives in the area and they were from an allied country which the courts did not want to rock the boat on that front.

Sonnet took the boys where they needed to be and left Haiku to watch the girls while she was gone.

The twins and Jade shared a birthday and it seemed that Jade was looking more like her mother each day. While the boys looked more unique from each other. Botan was surprised to see his nephews look like a more balanced mix of their late parents rather than favoring one over the other.

Though Cinquain sent news in an unexpected way when a man appeared at the door in the night with a small brood of children. The children happened to be Lisong’s nephews and the man was her sister’s brother-in-law. Cinquain wanted his young nephews out of harms way.

While Sonnet felt horrible that her nephews were doing more for her daughters than herself she still made time for them when she could.

Sonnet returned home to inform the twins of what was happening since their date was first. Senryu was glad to know that it was somewhat soon but Tanka worried over it since he didn’t want to leave his family.

Perhaps it was because of her age and how natural the death was that things went back to normal fairly quickly after Vitrail died.

The kids enjoyed playing with each other when Botan and Vitrail weren’t too busy teaching the boys things since the boys could not attend school. Botan worried for the boys since he didn’t trust his teaching skills once the boys reached their teen years but for the time being, things were alright.

Now that Lisong was officially dead in the household, the children were saddened by the loss of their aunt and while Jade did not know what was going on, she was given more attention because of it.

Sonnet decided to stay home more often to put more effort into getting to know her future nephews. The twins were fairly chatty while Haiku busied himself elsewhere mostly due to the fact that he was a bit older and longed to be more independent.
