Toonbuck Toora was a Sy Myrthian senator representing her homeworld, Sy Myrth. Beginning her career with an idealistic desire to end corruption in the Senate, Toora became disillusioned and greedy after experiencing it firsthand. Under her leadership, Sy Myrth joined the Separatist movement, and ultimately Toora led one of the final Separatist holdouts against the Empire.

Star Wars Alien Species - Roonan
The Roonan, a sentient species native to Roona, a planet in the Expansion Region.
The Roonans were members of the Galactic Republic. During the last years of the Republic, Roona was represented in the Galactic Senate by Senator Edcel Bar Gane. Even before the Battle of Naboo, Gane had voiced concerns about Supreme Chancellor Finis Valorum's actions and their impact on the stability of the Republic as early as 33 BBY. He believed that Valorum's perceived ineffectiveness would further divide the myriad politicians of the Senate to extremes. Subsequently, when Queen Padmé Amidala moved for a Vote of No Confidence for Valorum, Gane seconded the motion, which was resoundingly successful.
During his time on Coruscant, Gane allied himself with the influential yet corrupt Senators Orn Free Taa, Passel Argente, and Toonbuck Toora, and was a supporter of then-Senator Palpatine. Despite his alliance with Taa, Gane vigorously disagreed with his fellow Senator following the bail-jumping of former Senator Tikkes, who had joined the Confederacy of Independent Systems. He believed that Tikkes was not guilty of the charges against him, but rather had fled Coruscant to avoid the same fate as Senator Aks Moe. Gane continued to serve in the Senate up until, and possibly through, the Clone Wars.
Around 22 BBY, a Roonan was a Match Master employed at the BlasTech Gikosphere on Coruscant. He presided over Team Coruscant's game against Team Fondor in the opening round of the Galactic Cup of Limmie. He interrupted the game after Fondor had taken a commanding lead.
During the Clone Wars, another Roonan Senator, Aang, was an important member of the Senate Military Oversight Committee.
One Roonan named Halsey was a member of the Jedi Order. He attended a meeting in the Jedi Temple communication center in which General Grievous informed the Jedi High Council of his capture of Jedi Master Eeth Koth, though he did not join the rescue team. Halsey later took his Padawan, Knox, to protect the contested Temple of Eedit on Devaron. They were soon attacked by Savage Opress, and though Halsey attempted to stop the Zabrak warrior, both he and Knox were killed.
The trade center CorusMall on Coruscant was operated by Roonans.
Short in stature, they have big ideas and are notoriously easy to offend. They were reputed for being very picky and particular regarding details; the slightest error could be taken as a grievous insult.
The Roonan have blue or gray skin and they had a ridged forehead and cranium with large, almond-shaped blue eyes. The Roonan have tiny teeth.
Their appearance was based on concept art for an "alien Jedi" that was drawn by Terryl Whitlatch around January 7, 1997, during production for the movie. By May 9 of the same year, the alien Jedi had already evolved into Edcel Bar Gane, as seen on a later sketch—also drawn by Whitlatch. They were only identified as Roonans in 2010, in the StarWars.com episode guide for "Grievous Intrigue" is the ninth episode of Season Two of the Star Wars: The Clone Wars television series.
Examples of Names: Aang, Edcel Bar Gane, Halsey.

Star Wars Alien Species - Sy Myrthian
Sy Myrth, formerly known as Far Barseg, was a planet located in the Jospro sector of the Outer Rim Territories. It was the homeworld of the Sy Myrthians.
By 25,100 BBY, Sy Myrth was known as Far Barseg. It was absorbed into Xim's Empire as he expanded his borders from the Kingdom of Cron. The planet eventually became a member world of the Galactic Republic.
During the Mandalorian Wars, Sy Myrth was the site of a battle won by the Mandalorian Neo-Crusaders. During the New Sith Wars, the planet was the site of a battle won by the Jedi.
During the Separatist Crisis, Sy Myrth was represented in the Galactic Senate by Toonbuck Toora until the planet seceded in 23 BBY. It was a founding world of the Confederacy of Independent Systems. During the Clone Wars, Sy Myrth was one of the most important factory worlds of the CIS, and part of the "Foundry of the Confederacy". At the end of the war, Toonbuck Toora continued to fight the Galactic Empire, the successor of the Republic, and Sy Myrth became the center of the Sy Myrthian Insurrection. The planet was besieged in 19 BBY by the 12th Imperial Sector Army and Toora was eventually killed at Trasemene.
The planet was later represented in the New Republic Senate.
The Sy Myrthians are large gastropods, and move around on one giant foot, shuffling and slithering for locomotion. They possess porcine-like noses, and beady eyes. Their entire body is covered with fur and males and females alike possess beards, often groomed into numerous goatees. Their arms tend to be tiny and underpowered for their large size.
