Having just rewatched AAA, it's really interesting how much of a walking raw nerve Agatha is after episode 5.

She aggressively pushes everyone away with her words, verbally attacking every vulnerability she spots.

She went from this

To a hissing, spitting kitten, who claws at everything and anyone who gets close.

Seeing her abusive mother reverts her back to the witch on the run, her against the world.

Having Billy accuse her of lying, of being the villain she is, of stone cold murdering Alice intentionally, sets her off in the worst way.

It's that same old story, getting told you are evil, worthless, a born monster, often enough, and you start falling into the pattern of behaviour you are accused of.

Why would they call me a monster, a liar, unless it was true.

Which is ironic because Agatha has probably been her most honest and least monstrous in her interactions with Billy.

She tells him the witches road isn't real, she tells him she didn't intentionally kill Alice, she tells him he has nothing to be ashamed of for surviving. Yet he calls her a liar throws each truth back in her face, twisted into a lie, until she just gives up.

Look at her, all defensive, showing Billy the monster he expects to see. Back in that survival mode to protect herself.

I imagine if she hadn't had her mother thrown at her for her trial, the outcome of this story would be very different.

She wouldn't have had her confrontation with Rio, wouldn't have pushed and pushed until Rio gave her the ultimatum.

The irony is that Agatha treated Rio the same way Evanora treated her. She lashes out, heaping all her loss, her guilt, her grief onto Rio making it her fault, her responsibility. The same way Evanora places all her own self-loathing onto Agatha.

If she had time to process things, hadn'thad her own deamons come back to haunt her, there could have been compromise, and the thinnest sliver of a chance at a reunion between her and Rio.

Agatha is a creature forged in neglect, in rejection, in the scorn of her community. She is a scrappy little survivor, the monster everyone believes her to be, a scared little girl uncertain as to why her mother hates her so.

It's what makes her such a rich character because, given the right circumstances, she could be so much more.

Ieeha: it is pointless to try and reconnect with my mother and brother. What they mourn is their daughter, not a grown man who is broken beyond repair pretending to be the child they lost. It is better if I stay away, lest they find their grief fueled further by what they will undoubtedly perceive as a stranger beyond their recognition.

Sirius x Peter?

It would be outrageously dysfunctional but that's kind of the fun!

Tbh I think it would be really really difficult for Sirius to ever notice Peter in that way, but through the power of fanfic I'm sure one could find a way. The reverse is definitely very possible. I always write Peter as looking up to Sirius in particular and continually struggling to win his approval-- and, obviously, failing miserably haha. Of course Peter looks up to James too but with Sirius it's this thing where Peter idolises him and wants to be him but simultaneously is also pretty intimidated by him.

And unlike James I think Sirius is aware of this and has deep disdain for it. James kind of appreciates fawning but I think Sirius would find it totally pathetic (which you can kind of see in SWM.) So Peter, a natural simp, would have a really hard time gaining Sirius's approval. He's just not on Sirius's level, though he wants to be and desperately tries to convince himself that he could be.

I always write Sirius as being pretty mean to Peter but in this AU I've really allowed him to let loose. This is honestly far from the worst instance:

To me, watching someone be made fun of when they don't realise they're being made fun of is truly one of the most excruciating experiences of all time. And I think that would be a pretty typical dynamic between them.

I don’t say this from a place of snobbery but I think if you’re going to call yourself an archivist you should be looking to host things in places that aren’t bound by the constraints of content guidelines or could go away at any time (social media, google drive, etc.). And if you’re going to call yourself a curator you should at least be making some effort to put the things you post in context

I’m genuinely confused how you got diagnosed with NPD … you mentioned this ages ago and it crossed my mind randomly… like I don’t understand

According to my paperwork it was bc I complained about being in pain a lot as an "attention seeking" behavior LOL.

It was also by my shitty psych when I was like 16 who diagnosed me with BPD for "lying about my father" when I said the way he treats me makes me uncomfortable so I take his opinion with several grains of salt. Man just had issues with me IDK.
