did we ever decide on teito and seiji's voice actors? 😔

We’ve actually talked about it before! (https://goldenlaquer.tumblr.com/post/662504844796526592/heyy-im-the-anon-who-guessed-yans-voice-a-while) But since then, I’ve officially decided!

For Seiji, my first pick is Koji Yusa. But guess who he already voices in the series? Toujou Ayumu, that bastard. I guess we can have an episode where they meet and duke it out to have exclusive rights to Koji Yusa’s voice LMFAOOO (honestly I think Seiji would win it). But my close second choice would be Kamiya Hiroshi, brilliant man, and bringing him on the cast with all the heavy-weight VAs already there would be such an ultimate move 😔👌👌

For Teito, it was the same predicament. At first I thought Ono Kensho would be my first place pick, but he already voiced Kurokono Tasuke LMAOO 😭 Recycling Seiyuus for different roles isn’t uncommon at all, but I’ve decided to change it to Nobunaga Shimazaki, who would fit Teito’s voice just as well!!

As always, if you think there is another VA who you think could voice my OCs, I’m always curious to know! 😔🤲

Yesterday, the Gundam 00 Festival 10 Re:vision event in Tokyo announced that Mobile Suit Gundam 00 will be receiving a live-action stage play adaptation; this play will make its debut next year in February 2019. Now, the stage play is first of the event’s announcements, as shortly afterwards director, Seiji Mizushima, stated he is working on an anime sequel. Yet, the event did not specify the medium for this Gundam 00 anime sequel.

  Then today, more information followed on the Gundam 00 sequel in the form of a stage reading; it is set after the event of Mobile Suit Gundam 00 the Movie: A Wakening of the Trailblazer. It will feature the return a character thought to be dead, a new character, and new mecha designs. However, these characters and mechas were not specified by the staff and cast, as to what their relation is to the upcoming sequel project.

Letitia Erde is an Innovade copy of Tieria Erde; featuring the same appearance and DNA as Tieria. However, Letitia has his own individual personality. Letita pilots the Gundam Dynames Repair III, the third repaired version of the Dynames; formerly piloted by Lockon Stratos (Neil Dylandy). (Tieria Erde’s voice actor Hiroshi Kamiya played Letitia.)

Graham Aker who was thought to have died during the ELS invasion. However, Graham survived by assimilating with the ELS with Setsuna’s guidance. He returns to the local Earth sector to assist Celestial Being, and becomes the pilot for the Gundam Exia Repair IV. (Graham’s voice actor Yūichi Nakamura reprised the role.)

  Mobile Suit Gundam is the first Gundam series to be produced/broadcast in high-definition; spanning between two 25-episode seasons from 2007 to 2009. Bandai Entertainment dubbed the series, and aired it on Sci-Fi Channel’s defunct Ani-Monday block from 2008 to 2009. Right Stuf will re-release the series on Blu-ray and DVD in two parts on July 3 and August 7. In addition, Right Stuf will release the movie, A Wakening of the Trailblazer and Special Edition OVAs on September 4. Furthermore, there will be a Mobile Suit Gundam 00 10th Anniversary Ultra Edition Collection which contains all material on September 4th.

Yan: deep deep, somewhat soft, more silence than talk with him so if his voice sounds a bit unused it’s because of that, doesn’t speak with much inflection either so he sounds pretty deadpan/unexpressive, phew emotion is hard thing to gauge with this Yato (I had an incredible anon who suggested the Producer from iDOLM@STER cinderella girls and OMG, the best match to my vision I’ve heard thus far; his voice actor is Takeuchi Shunsuke) 

Teito: he sounds like. Kind. and good-looking (? can you sound good-looking? Teito sounds good-looking.) Definitely a nice and reliable sound to him. One word from Teito and it’s like– ‘ah, I can trust him’. Especially if he’s soothing you. If only y’all could hear my mind directly 😭 I’m still on the hunt for the right seiyuu, y’all if there are any suggestions please tell me!! 

Seiji: Playful. Mischievious. A kansai dialect that doesn’t quit. “Ara?” He sounds full of bad intentions. Cannot. Trust. That. Voice. At. All. But his serious tone does sound a bit hot. 🙄. I’ve got my seiyuu narrowed down between Kamiya Hiroshi and Koji Yusa!!

Oh boy only 5.... Ok I think i’ve got this.

1. Natsume Takashi (Natsume Yuujinchou)

You know that meme where the person goes to talk and the other person babbles on about how much they know they love that one character. Takashi is 100% that one character for me. 

His story, his journey his hardships and his growth... I just love every moment of it. It is such a sweet show and I love this boy and I just want him to be happy. 

2. Kyon (The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya)

This show is how old and I still adore Kyon. He is easily the best aspect of this show. Sure I like him a bit more in the books since even though Haruhi is the titular character it’s far more obvious that Kyon is the main character and we focus more on him and his thoughts. Still I love him so much. His humor, the way he deals with situations and how he’ll push himself for what he really believes in. 

3. Yona (Akatsuki no Yona)

I didn’t want the list to be all guys. This show has probably my fav first episode of ANY show. Yona is just such a delight and to see her need to grow so quickly. and not only that she works really hard to be a better person then anyone expects her to be. She may have gone through hell but she still keeps her humor and humanity. 

4. Yato (Noragami)

I seem to like character that balance a bit of humor while also having been through a lot. I love that everyone always gives Yato a hard time but he still will do as much as he can for someone. It also helps that he is voiced by my fav voice actor Hiroshi Kamiya. 

5. Matoba Seiji (Natsume Yuujinchou)

Originally I was only going to do one per series but no. 

I used to hate Matoba when he was first introduced. His voice sent shivers up my spine and I didn’t like him. However as we’ve learned more about him i’ve softened and even over the past few years i’ve grown to like him. He is far more complex then I think he’s given credit for. Sure I may be biased and writing a oneshot fic that turned into many chapters... I just really like him. 

Has he done less then good things? sure (I mean based on Natsume first impression of him no wonder why I hated him too). Does he have the worst social skills of any anime character I’ve ever seen? yep he does (but can you blame him with how he was raised?) Do I still think he’s a really interesting character... well yeah and that’s why he makes the list. 

I can’t believe I didn’t mention anyone with silver hair.... i mean manga Natsume kinda counts but yeah.... sometimes i surprise myself.
