Annatar, the lord of gifts

A “short” explanation about Annatars design + my Hcs: I hc that Aulë wants his maiar to clad themselves with a fana that looks more like a marble statue than something alive -so his maiar are grey to white in skin-tones and hair colors, they all have long hair which is cut straight, elaborate hairstyles and other modifications to their fanar are not allowed. Although build willowy Aulës maiar are strong but as their secondary function (when not working tirelessly at their Valas forge) is to be literal statues they’re to be easy on the eyes which explains their rather elvish looking fanar and clothes that show a lot of skin.

Keeping this hc in mind Mairon knew that to successfully fool the elves he needed to yet again don the fana his old master forced them to wear -but as he’s still mourning his Husbands banishment to the void thusly being so Very distraught that he can’t help his affection and longing from seeping into Annatars fana; Which is why his mind is burning with the gilded memories of Melkor (His gray hair is dappled with a cascade of gold), the inspiration that his husband planted into him flowing out from his hands right into his creations (his hands are purple), his lips stained with the last kiss they shared which filled him with so much love that Mairon will forever sing of his husbands glory and curse those who took Melkor away from him (his lips are purple), the ones brightly burning eyes are now permanently dulled, weighted with a heart shattering sorrow and further stained blood red from crying an oceans worth of hot tears. And lastly; Melkors final words, his comforting voice full of love and affection when he urged him to “Stay strong for me, my spark” which made him considerably bulk up his fana, even tho he feels anything but strong. So in the end he looked quite different from what a Maia of Aulë is supposed to which is why the elves were vary of him but for Celebrimbor (who I hc as not as sweet as the Silvergifters do, he’s outright Horrible); He treats Annatar like the maiar are ‘supposed to’ be treated, so like a Servant. Sure he eagerly partakes in the sharing of information and ideas about the shared craft with Annatar but won’t of course share his best ideas with a mere Maia. Annatar on the other hand is disgusted and absolutely livid by how he’s treated as a lesser being by the shit stain that is Celebrimbor, especially as the elf keeps not-at-all-accidentally-even-tho-he-tries-to-pretend-so touching him without his consent which makes Mairons hatred towards the elves burn ever hotter. Any other times Annatar could easily side-step the elves often lewd advantages with (fake) playfully scolding words etc until one time when Celebrimbor muses aloud why Annatar looks so different from the other Maiar of Aulë; Is it perhaps that his alliances are shifting away from the righteous path of Eru and into something much Darker? Annatar tries his best to divert the topic to something more safer but Celebrimbor keeps on pressing and at one point lasciviously husks into Annatars ear the only option out from the situation; “I’ll hardly have the concentration to talk if I’m fucking a sweetly mewling maia~”

This is how Celebrimbor coerces Annatar into sleeping with him, it happens a few more times after and every time Mairon is filled with feelings of shame, betrayal and disgust but most importantly the hatred he feels towards the elves climbs to such heights that he’s ready to forge and then bind his own essence into a ring which will amplify his powers then he’ll be strong enough to make middle-earth bend to his will and finally free his beloved husband. Now back to the design:

Annatars clothes/accessories will incorporate these 3 symbols:

Mairons burning eye (circlet&choker)

Melkors three peaks (The ring he’s kissing+the arm bands+ the clasps)

Or the sigil which combines their symbols (the earring).

His accessories are golden, no exceptions, and his clothes will almost exclusively be of some shade of purple -or if he’s feeling very vexed with the elves he will even wear black (both purple and black are Melkors colors) but not too often to not to arise unwanted suspicion.

He prefers lush, deep colors but reluctantly wears the lighter colors that Celebrimbor tells him to wear. Speaking of loathsome clothes; Mairon absolutely DETESTS to wear the all too revealing robes that were “gifted” to him by Celebrimbor; They are Not what he’d wear if he had a say in the matter but seeing that these styles of robes are precisely what he had to wear in Almaren (and that pervert Celebrimbor enjoys to ogle/touch all that exposed skin) so he wears them with a fake smile to make the stupid elves trust him.

More about elves being stupid; It seems that after Melkors banishment the elves have grown forgetful as they eagerly mine for gold and use it without caution even tho it originates straight from Melkors veins and is very potent in its powers of corruption. They’ve also become so blind that Annatar can wear the (slightly modified) symbols of his and Melkors -the same ones that once struck terror into the hearts to all who beheld them- yet the elves don’t seem to realize. Once Celebrimbor even commented that the “big flower choker” that Annatar made for himself was cute.

Btw Annatar doesn’t have horns, they’re the part of the flaming eye halo circlet that keep it aloft. (Mairon likes to be Extra extra <3)

For lols sake I wanted to combine the two reoccurring things I’ve seen mentioned when regarding Mairon/Annatar; the first being how often Mairon is called Tolkiens Satan and second being how often Annatar is shown wearing a halo.

No shade to anyone who does either, I just thought that it was a fun combo to try and add to the design :D

✿ Name: Maia Emlyn Reinhold Age: 41 Gender: Female Sexuality: Demisexual. Birthday: March 4th. ✿ Hometown: Originally from Blackthorn City, but grew up in Kalos and then Galar. Height: 5′3″ Weight: N/A Pokemon on Hand: Roserade, Goodra, Munchlax, Umbreon and Eldegoss. ✿ Personality: Maia is a kind and caring woman, despite having been born in the harsh and cold city of Blackthorn. She had always been a gentle soul, helping those in need without asking for anything in return. But that doesn’t mean she can’t be commanding and harsh, she has had her moments where the dragon in her comes out- and it’s not a pretty sight you want to be on the receiving end of. ✿ Info: Both of Maia’s parents were Dragon Tamers, but Maia had no interest in following their footsteps; she instead set out to find her own path. Which led her to Kalos and eventually to Galar where she settled down. Her ancestors actually came from the Galar region before settling in Blackthorn City.

✿ Her first partner had been a Dratini, but they never truly accepted her- so she left them with her parents. It wasn’t until she was on the road that she came across an injured and abandoned Budew. She quickly rushed it to the nearest pokemon centre, thankfully the Budew made a full recovery and she was planning on returning it to where she found it.

✿ But the Budew didn’t want to leave her, so she ended up catching it and taking it with her. She travelled quite a bit, competed in a few contests with her Roselia. While it wasn’t her calling, her partner Belle seemed to enjoy the limelight. Her contesting took her to Kalos, where she eventually retired from competing to open a small flower shop.

✿ While working at her flower shop known as ‘Roselia’s Bouquet’, she ended up meeting the man that would eventually become her husband. The two had gone on a couple of dates, and Maia had even challenged him to a battle. She didn’t win, but he had gifted her something that would allow her to evolve her partner into their final form.

Hiiii everyone! I’m Piper and this is my bby Coraline! I’m really excited to start roleplaying with you all here. I haven’t been in a Harry Potter roleplay but I like to think I’m well versed enough in the lore to do it now lol! Anyway, here’s some details about my bby and then some more.

Oh hey, it’s CORALINE WOOD, the 6TH year CISGENDER FEMALE GRYFFINDOR. I always thought SHE looked just like the muggle, MAIA MITCHELL. I’ve heard they’re COLORFUL+GALLANT, but also MEDDLESOME+ERRATIC. Hope they have a good year! piper, 18, cst, she/her

She goes by Cora almost all the time, mostly for convenience and also because she can’t stand people mistaking her name.

Cora had a nice childhood mostly dominated by food and Quidditch in the backyard with her father and brother. Quidditch is her life, much like it is to the rest of her family.

Her father is the one and only Oliver Wood, and she was over the moon when she was sorted into Gryffindor and chosen as the team’s Beater. The Sorting Hat had no trouble sorting her, she is a Gryffindor through and through.

She has one brother, Aaron @aaron-wood-rp, who is extremely protective of her. She opted for Dueling Club this year instead of her previous commitment to Potions Club as she wanted to assure him she could hold her own. He probably knows, but Cora doesn’t think that’ll be enough.

Despite her erratic behavior she has some self-discipline, as she has to when it comes to her physique. She eats plenty - eating is secondary to Quidditch and Aaron - but also makes sure to work out as well. Don’t get me wrong though, she will complain the whole time.

Although she loves Quidditch with every part of her, something else is calling out toward Potions. She doesn’t know what it is, but nonetheless she is determined to ignore it.

Cora loves dating and boys and girls; she’s very flirty and likes to make people blush, but it’s difficult sneaking people around her brother, so she doesn’t make it a habit.

Her two best friends are Aaron, naturally, and her tawny owl Butterscotch.

Secret BF/GF: As stated above, it’s hard for Cora to keep a date that her brother approves of (given, her taste in people isn’t usually the best). But upon meeting your muse, she’ll obviously lose all worries about Aaron. That doesn’t mean they’d be the most open couple! Secrecy is key to keep both of them from an earful of elderly brother scolding.

Best Friend: Every girl needs a best friend, especially one that can talk! Butterscotch is great company, but her solemn coos only do so much for a person. Your muse could know Cora since childhood, their first year, or maybe just over the summer!

Enemy: It’s not complicated for a girl like Cora to make an enemy. Her personality isn’t for the fainthearted and it often gets her on people’s shit lists. They could have vendettas against one another, or just participate in a not-so-friendly rivalry. (pretty much filled by Ludovica Lestrange)

a fucked up modern day marriage plot where a rival mob boss marries his daughter, muse a, off to muse b to calm the tension between the families. at first they hate each other, but once forced to live together, they start warming up to each other, too stubborn to let it show. then one night he comes back from an important deal gone wrong, his face is fucked up and he’s feverish and she takes care of him all night and etc etc etc…i need it?

ok but consider this… two (!) men in a relationship looking for a woman to spoil as their sugar baby and have some fun with.

give me a plot with high school sweethearts that ended things ( for no, or whatever reason )  and tried things again during prom but that didn’t end up working either. fast forward to years later and they’re still really good friends that still have feelings for each other. muse a is dating someone new & muse b is about to be engaged to someone that is unbelievably similar to muse a. muse b finds out that muse a still wants them and thinks that maybe it isn’t too late - calling the wedding off while they were supposed to be putting on their shiny little ring. this could go so many ways from here just give me angst !!!

Why do you want to play this character?: to be completely honest, the first comic i ever read was the x-men and i just gravitated towards rogue. she was so independent and amazing. she had to overcome a lot in her life and she became this bad ass hero who people can look up to ! she kicks ass and takes names ! Other characters you’d like to play (feel free to leave this blank. we are just curious about what you are interested in):n/a Bio: owen and priscilla lived a calm life on a hippie commune when they had little anna-marie. things were going well for them and the community until a failed attempt at native american mysticism caused them to disappear. anna-marie was then left to her aunt carries care, who took to that job very quickly and created a very strict household as to not let anna-marie fall into the same traps as her parents did. all that did was get her to rebel more, things like running away often and petty theft became something young anna-marie became known for and granted her the nickname: rogue. 

around this time, rogue began hanging around a local boy named cody who ended up becoming flirtatious with her. in the heat of the moment one night, they shared a kiss - her first kiss to be exact and in that moment, her abilities finally emerged. the kiss caused her to suck the life force and psyche from cody who ended up in a coma because of it. distraught from her new found inability to touch or have any skin-to-skin contact along with the guilt of having hurt someone she cared about, she did what she knew best - she ran away from it. during this time, rogue was lured into the brotherhood by a woman named mystique. she was taken under her wing and given that mother-daughter relationship she wanted but at the same time - this group of mutants only strengthened her negative emotions and got her to use her abilities for unsavory things. after a while, the memories of strangers in her head finally started to catch up with her and she started to crack. knowing that the brotherhood didn’t really care about her, rogue went to the only person she thought could help, professor x who encouraged her to join his team at the shield university. 

Writing Sample: rogue slammed her door shut, her chest heaving up and down from the fact that she’d just ran from the park five blocks away to her house. she’d just left cody there, collapsed on the ground. she didn’t know what to do, was he dead? he couldn’t be, right? she didn’t kill him? how could she ? all these questions were swirling around her head along with things that weren’t hers, like memories of throwing a football with a man she didn’t recognize, teasing a younger sister she didn’t have and eating dinner with a family that wasn’t hers. her mind was in shock, her body was in panic mode. they probably found him by now, they probably thought someone tried to kill him or maybe they didn’t but rogue couldn’t take that chance. she didn’t know what was going but she knew it was her fault, most things that were bad in her life were her fault. 

she locked the door as she pulled her backpack from the ground and started to shove clothes into the bag, just grabbing whatever she saw not even caring if it was old or out of style. she looked around the room once again, scanning to see if she was missing something important she’d need. this wasn’t the first time she’d run away but this was more urgent than those times. the other were just her being a brat, not wanting to deal with the consequences of her actions but this, this was much bigger than skipping school. she quickly grabbed her essentials, deodorant, perfume, toothbrush, tooth paste, hair brush, her small bag of stolen makeup and a frame with the only picture of her and her mom she had. throwing those in with the clothes, she quickly zipped the main compartment before checking her wallet, it had eighty dollars in it - sixty of which she’d stolen from aunt carrie’s purse when she was in the shower earlier that morning. it was enough, for now. rogue threw on her comfiest jacket and swung her backpack onto her shoulders before opening her window. her eyes went to her desk, eyeing the pair of winter gloves she never wore. she snatched them quickly, shoving them into the back pocket of her jeans as she climbed out the window of her room to the outside. her aunt would be home soon. rogue looked back at her window, sighing before running in the opposite direction of where she’d left cody. this was her life now.
