Honestly crazy how I was reading Lair's Bar character descriptions and fell in love with Scubby's character...Sucker for the tough guys with a heart.
Anyways, I find it really interesting that most of the characters are only playing the game to gamble their life away...like to me none of the backstories support that they're gambling for money
Especially Scubby, Bristle, and Foxy
Also pretty sure Foxy is crushing on Scubby based on the short comic strip for her and how similar the character looks to Scubby
Anyways, I heart scubby

Step into Liar’s Bar: A Battleground of Deception and Survival
Tumblr media
Liar’s Bar outwit opponents in this high-stakes multiplayer online game coming to Linux and Steam Deck, with Windows PC. Thanks to the brilliant creativity of Curve Animation. Which you can already find on Steam Early Access with its 97% Overwhelmingly Positive reviews. Welcome to Liar’s Bar, the wildest, most chaotic hangout you’ll ever step into. This isn’t just a bar — it’s a battleground of deception, strategy, and high-stakes matches. Every move counts, every word could be a lie, and survival depends on how well you can bluff, read others, and outsmart your friends. Grab a seat at one of the tables and jump into the ultimate high-stakes first-person multiplayer online title. Whether you’re calling bluffs or risking it all in Russian Roulette, Liar’s Bar keeps you on edge every second. And it's also due to get a port.
While we have a lot on our plate right now — updates, bug fixes, and new content — we certainly won't forget about Linux. ...it's something we’ll revisit as we continue to develop and expand the game.
Curve Animation sent over an update, and it’s clear they’re hard at work. They’re also working to make sure Liar’s Bar will be accessible to Linux and Steam Deck players. Their goal is to bring this Unity title to everyone, no matter their platform of choice. That said, it looks like we’ll have to wait a bit longer — possibly later in Early Access or closer to the full launch. For now, though, Steam Deck and Linux players can dive in using Proton support.
What’s Waiting in Early Access?
Liar’s Bar launched onto Early Access on October 2nd, 2024, where it is due to remain for six months. Giving you an evolving matches where new content, updates, and changes shaped by player feedback. This is your chance to be part of the action and see the deception grow.
Two Game Modes Packed with Drama
Bluff Master Here’s how it works:
Each player plays a card face down, claiming it matches the value on the table (like “King” or “Queen”).
The twist? They might be lying through their teeth.
Think they’re bluffing? Call them out! If they’re caught lying, they have to spin the chamber in a round of Russian Roulette. Survive, and you’re still in. Fail and it's over.

Dice of Deception In this mode, players roll dice in secret and take turns making bold bids about the total number of dice on the table (e.g., “There are five 3’s”). The next player can either raise the bid or challenge it. If someone gets called out, the loser drinks poison. Two bottles later, it’s lights out!

So Lair's bar......
The game has no fanart about it or ships, but ok, what I really want to know is THE LORE and I have one theory
Tumblr media
This is Scubby, he's a bandit bodyguard dog..... I don't think that is the case but he might be the bodyguard of the mafia bear that always is on a couch looking at the players, Scubby might be working for him and he might be involved in one death of someone.
Tumblr media
This is Bristle, he once was a loving husband but now is a "butcher" and has a weird tattoo of his wife on his chest.
Not saying that Scubby is responsible for Bristle's wife's death, because maybe Bristle might have killed her or he was forced to kill his own wife because his boss, the bear, forced him and Scubby made sure the job was done fair and square.....so that might be a stretch, but is the best I can imagine.
