actually, screw it, y'know what? post outta nowhere of all my critiques of re:tbg. i don't wanna obsess over this game too much, it's good to know when pieces of media you like have flaws. starting loadouts: just made my last post on them, but. yeah, there's a lot of repeats. in base game this isn't the case, but with director's cut, literally half the characters all have the knife-handgun-spray combo. dear god, please, i beg thee for variety, sherwin character balance: on the topic, this. i'd say it knocks it out of the park for about 75% of the characters, they're all fairly well-balanced, but some just reek. kenneth and a. chris are way too strong, enrico feels way too bland, and a. brad makes my bones feel bad with how bad he is. good for the most part, but there's some slip ups tile art: i'm happy to say that this is nowhere near as bad as launch re2:tbg's tile art, and it makes more sense than that to have darker tiles, given the setting. but they still feel just a smidge on the dark side, and could have used just a bit more brightness to them. story clarity: spoilers ahead for re1's story. this is genuinely my biggest critique of the entire experience, and it's totally flavor-filled; 9 times out of 10, it translates re1's story pretty well, but there's some minor stuff that just irks me. it's not made clear that lisa trevor's mom is in crypts b's coffin (maybe a bit of flavor text in the opening saying the coffin has 'jessica trevor' written on it), taking away just about all of lisa's backstory, the weirdness surrounding the helicopter in the helipad's intro text, and the fact it isn't made clear where the rocket launcher comes from in the helipad, just to name a couple weird moments. it's extremely minor stuff, but i feel it sort of takes away from the plot of the game, which has some really good moments. director's cut: in terms of the playthrough, the story stuff was my least favorite part. for the entire board game, and everything outside of it, this is my least favorite part. tl;dr, the director's cut expansion, which triples the character count, doubles the enemy count, adds a boatload of new modes, and generally makes the game feel more complete, is completely kickstarted exclusive. i know sherwin and the gang are looking into getting it as a sfg store exclusive, but there's really no excuse for kickstarter locking this crucial of content. it just makes the game feel less complete for those buying it after the fact. basegame and the two story expansions are perfectly fine, but i seriously wish that it was better, that this vital of stuff could be accessible to everyone without resorting to stuff like tabletop sim or forking over cash to resellers. i don't hate this game, i hope i've made that exceptionally clear with my posts about it. i honestly adore this game, and i might make a counter 'stuff i love about it' post when i have more energy, but i wanted to just get this out there. like i said, it's important to be critical of the stuff you love, so it can grow and improve in the future. it sucks to make a huge textpost like this, but you gotta do what you gotta do. despite all this, i adore this game, i just wanna get this stuff out there.

so for context, a few weeks ago, i was playing on a "Fast Respawn" 2Fort server, mostly because i just wanted to hang out somewhere without any serious gameplay happening.
for the first few hours i was playing on there, i was mostly playing Gunslinger Engineer and Detonator Pyro, and we had a good push up into their base, but couldn't proceed past the entrance, since their team was holding a good defense despite us pushing in constantly. after a while, though, i just got kinda bored and wanted to fuck around with the taunts and loadouts i had equipped.
first thing i did was switch to Pyro, do the Cheers taunt, and hop on my bike and swerving around a bunch as i drove, but i don't think anyone could tell that's what i was doing. so after a bit, i changed to scout, and started just riding around on my skateboard. i continued my bit of drinking and riding around, usually getting on top of the bridge, doing the cheers taunt, getting on my board, skating off the bridge, then killbinding before i hit the ground.
at some point during this stupid bit, i get stuck in the air during my descent to land in the water beneath the bridge - i can still turn and stuff, and i can see everyone around me is still fighting into the enemy base, so i hadn't lost connection to the server. so in this moment, i type in chat "my awesome quantum skateboarding technique", before committing to a "This is the newest Tony Hawk Pro Skater game" bit.
it mostly just started with me saying shit like, "i have to do manual ollie combo for 150,000,000 points", "where are the grindrails on this level", before eventually ending up in the enemys sewers, and typing in chat "I'VE FOUND THE HALF PIPES", only to say something like "man they really screwed up the physics since the last game".
during the entire time i was doing this, a soldier on the other team was trying to find me, saying "where's tony hawk, i have to find tony hawk", specifically because he had a tony hawk avatar - i only realized this after he found me, because upon discovering me trying to skate up the pipes in sewers, he was like "i had to find you because tony hawk is my avatar".
anyway, after all that i ended up skateboarding up the stairs into their base, before being targeted by mini-sentry, and dying before i could make my way around a corner, and so thusly my last message on the server was supposed to be "my combo had ended", but what i actually ended up typing was "my bombo has ended", and it made me laugh SO fucking hard, i couldn't let myself backspace, and added on with "my sweet bombo".
then i left, because i had nothing more to do on there. my bombo had ended, and i just had to move on. find my new bombo.

today in the Andromeda Galaxy, GLITCHES TRIED TO KILL ME BUT I MADE IT WORK. or, well. Helen made it work, actually, and I was very grateful. (Elaaden, what do you have against my triangle button working? and wtf was that Nomad bug where suddenly I could see through time and the world contracted and my hair turned white????)
anyway.
this morning I joked to Helen that I was feeling very “I love all of my crew equally”/“I don’t care for Cora” so today I made a concerted effort to get to know her better--and tried a few Nomad combos where she wouldn’t sound like the fun police. (turns out, she and Vetra get along great! and also when I put her with Peebee she gets very self-conscious about how she’s totes not appropriating asari culture and it’s v embarrassing. on the OTHER hand, she makes fun of Peebee for peeping on Jaal and like, again, wtf, let me have my ot3.)
I started out finishing up that Morda drive core mission that glitched, and of course I gave the krogan the drive core in exchange for the outpost because I LOVE KROGAN and also RYDER LOVES OUTPOSTS. win/win tbh. but honestly the best part was getting to pick the dialogue option talking to Addison “fuck Tann” and Ryder actually getting to say fuck! it’s the little things.
after closing out Elaaden I decided to try and finish up a few errand-y missions like scanning plants, etc. in doing so, I got to play soccer with my very best friend Liam which was a heartwarming lot of fun, and fought TWO architects because just one was not enough. Peebee’s ex stole our beloved Proof Of Concept (I know the bot is called Poc, but honestly I think full-naming it is much cuter) and I was all “of course I’m gonna help you we’re in this together” which threw Peebee off her game because she’s still thrown every time someone cares about her. I AM, AGAIN, CANNOT EMPHASIZE THIS ENOUGH, GENUINELY SAD I’M GOING TO HAVE TO CHOOSE AMONG ROMANCE OPTIONS. this experience could not be more different from the main trilogy, where I romanced Liara out of a sense of obligation/curiosity faaaaaar more than any genuine interest or investment, and wasn’t tempted* to deviate from that by anyone else along the way. there are a thousand mechanical reasons why I think romance works much, much better in Andromeda than it ever did in the main series--among them the very pointed focus on found family throughout, the more nuanced ability to craft a unique Ryder by doing away with paragon/renegade and instead having the more robust conversation trees, and the overworld chatting on the Nomad giving EVERYONE the amount of personality off the bat that my OG crew had to like bite and claw for for two and a half games-- but like. I’m not gonna lie a big part of it is just that I just think more of these people are more interesting as potential partners. I THINK I AM AN ANDROMEDA GIRL.
* well that’s a lie I would have romanced Tali in a heartbeat if I weren’t playing fem!Shep and that was illegal. and I’ll probably romance Sam Traynor after that. so. it’s not a total bust.
but I digress.
saved that scientist’s baby on Voeld, and afterwards had my first ACTUAL, HUMAN conversation with Addison about--shockingly--the nature of friendship. I was genuinely surprised and pleased! look at us go! I also did some spying for that STG agent, and got the world’s most badly delivered “gee, are you really going to believe that old coot?” speech out of my main suspect, which was hilariously insulting.
and then, partly due to Helen’s advice and partly because, again, today was Learn To Appreciate Cora Day, I finished out her loyalty mission! I was shocked to find Sarissa alive after all the build-up-- I was certain that after that long a drum roll for how key she’d be in the Initiative’s growth that we’d find her mega-dead-- but as Helen pointed out to me, the trope is Don’t Meet Your Heroes, not Your Hero Is Probably Dead, Actually. her whole “be calm, soldier” routine @ Vedaria was kind of grating in the moment but is very cute after the fact, so fine. the whole muted sounds and gravity tricks of that final fight were super fun, even though I did accidentally jump into space once or twice. the big biotics lightshow was v impressive, but after I took a pretty hardline stance on Sarissa: come clean and shut up, and you’re fired. I did get a little offended when the asari captain was like “you could have killed us all, it was only dumb luck that Ryder found us” bc EXCUSE ME, SOME OF IT WAS DUMB SKILL, but still. it was good to get that all settled, and very good to hear Cora say what was immediately obvious to everyone but her, which is that her compulsion towards mentors and plans would have made her a poor Pathfinder but makes her a perfect XO.
then I hit level 50 and spent a lot of time upgrading my gear, and like-- a kind god would have put the loadout console next to R&D and the buy/sell screen so I wouldn’t have to run up and down the Tempest corridor like an idiot. but whatever. Baby’s Fourth Beam Gun TM (an Avenger with a beam emitter) is working out splendidly, I’m slicing and dicing with my asari sword, and I’ve just put seeking plasma bolts on my Eagle which delights me. still shopping around for my ideal sniper before I commit but we’re getting there!
then I went to start the new planet, but then realized Ark Natanus was right there, and ended up backtracking twice. First I ran back to the Nexus thinking there’d be another fun homecoming cut scene for the asari like there’d been for the salarians that I didn’t want to muddy with adding turians, too, only that didn’t happen. boo! I did remember to check on my mom, tho, so that was nice and emotional. then I went back to Netanus to start that up, only to realize I was wearing a very ugly and entirely face-obscuring helmet-- and once it was clear the entirety of the mission was going to be me emoting at Rix, I restarted the mission with a different armor loudout. yes, I am that vain, but only because opportunities for mlm/wlw solidarity are rare in this game (Gil’s been quiet lately, lol) and Rix deserved my best. though after doing all this, I am wondering: why do all the SAMs have different voices? surely making even one AI as smart and unique as SAM is difficult; then making each Ark’s SAM unique feels like an unnecessary burden? but whatever.
H-whateverthefuck is by far my favorite planet to Nomad around on. I’ve been complaining about the lack of low gravity mechanics since the Mako in ME1 (WE WENT TO THE MOON, THE LITERAL MOON, OUR MOON, AND NOT EVEN THAT HAD LOW GRAVITY?) and so this felt like pure vindication. (also, in general but very aggressively NOT for this planet because of the radiation, shout out to the Nomad for letting me get out no matter how poorly or vertically it’s parked, because lord knows I glitched the Mako many times trying to pause and get out in ‘impossible’ places the Nomad handles with ease.) anyway. the concept of a broken-up planet is terrifying, and the reality of it was eerie as all get-out. what neat execution!
and speaking of a neat execution, I’m so relieved going with the interrupt and firing at Meriwether while she held Sid worked, because I was again legit scared I might get Sid killed. as you’ll recall re: my Jaal loyalty mission, that’s the second time I was genuinely quite nervous there would be real consequences to screwing this up! I give the game a lot of credit for building a world where it feels like I really could screw up that badly. I’m very proud/fond of Sid, and the whole security camera mechanic was delightful-- a more fun version of the kind of stuff KOTOR always made me do. back on the Tempest, I decided to flirt with Vetra while the flirting’s still good, but tbh her flirt option (“I care about Sid bc I care about you”) wasn’t even all that romantically valanced, if you ask me! but also I love that Sid’s idea of justice is fast-tracking having cats in Heleus.
phew! with so many big things now out of the way, I’m not sure how much dithering I can/should do before continuing with the main mission. but that’s a decision for future me.

Astro-Second Helpings, Episode 2: The Hound of the Baskerbots
Hello, and welcome to another episode of Astro-Second Helpings! Today we'll be reviewing the second Transformers toy (Transmetal Optimal Optimus notwithstanding, z"l) ever acquired by yours truly! Today's boy is WFC-S9 Hound, from the War For Cybertron: Siege subline.
Hound, in the G1 continuity, is modeled after a Mitsubishi J59 Jeep, and serves as the Autobots' scout. He's seen very early on in the 1984 cartoon, being part of the original scouting mission sent by Optimus to investigate and eventually discover the presence of the Decepticons. When he isn't playing football, doggedly pursuing enemies, or using his hologram projection capabilities to create illusions to trick the Decepticons, he's enjoying the natural wonders of Earth and, as his original tech spec states, wishing that he were human. Buddy, you're barking up exactly the right tree -- your old pal archosaur-automaton sure as hell knows what dysphoria is like.
(Seriously. He plays football.)
Hound was obtained soon after Six-Gun at another expedition to Target. His blocky form and subtle-but-poignant dark green coloration were an immediate eye-catcher and thus he was acquired.
As always, we'll be using six categories (Coloration, Overall Design, Quality of Manufacture, Loadout, Transformations, Transformability) with a five-star rating system to judge this boy, even if he really ain't nothin' but a hound dog.
COLORATION
Here's a shot of Hound on our desk in robot mode.
He does have some of the characteristic Siege 'battle damage' effect on his legs, but unlike Six-Gun, it doesn't feel at all out of place or confusing, mostly because it blends so well and isn't obtrusive.
As you can see, he's a very dark green with some attractive accents of yellow/orange, white, light grey, and black, a good earth-tones palette. This is relatively true to his cartoon appearance, though his green was slightly lighter there. The white stars on his shoulders are striking, and provide a nice contrast to the overall darker coloration. The brighter yellow/orange accents are an effective way of adding a splash of brightness to him, and they don't feel at all overdone.
Hound is fairly uncomplicated in terms of coloration because honestly, he doesn't have any need for a complex paint job or go off-leash with anything fancy. He's a boy who knows where his towel is, at least hue-wise.
Coloration Score: 5/5. It's exactly what it's supposed to be.
OVERALL DESIGN
Hound is, how shall we say, blocky. Chonky, even. There's not a lot that's sleek about him -- he's mostly an unapologetic series squares and rectangular prisms. And you know what? That's honestly pretty great. He might not have HUGE shoulderonhonkero pauldrons, but he more than makes up for it in the gams department.
Seriously, look at those things. It's like two air conditioner units with feet on 'em. I love big-calved robots and Hound manages to play a mean game of fetch in that department, eagerly delivering something we feel confident calling sexy.
As per the above, he's got a pretty humanoid face, and we're usually ambivalent about humanoid faces on Transformers, but Hound is such a good fellow with those puppy-dog eyes and that sweet punim that you can't help but love.
One big bugbear we have about Hound's design could technically fall under loadout, but it's a big enough part of his appearance that it feels entirely relevant. As you can see from the shot of Hound on our desk, compared with the shot from the cartoon, you'll notice one striking difference. He doesn't have his big rocket/missile launcher! Sure, he's got a shoulder-mounted gun, but it doesn't look anything like that iconic G1 missile. That's a big disappointment -- even if it wasn't part of the base mold they could have at LEAST included another weapon that resembled that good good look we all know and love.
Overall Design Score: 4/5. Toss this boy a bone and give him the missile launcher!!!
QUALITY OF MANUFACTURE
There's not really much to tell here. His joints aren't too tight, aren't too loose. The little black piece on his back that serves as the frame for the jeep doors is a little flimsy, but it's nothing major. Everything that's supposed to snap together does so without a hassle and we never felt worried that anything would come unaligned during play. Additionally, he is not a "partsformer" which really helps with making things feel nice. There is one thing that stands out about him, which is questionably in the middle between "overall design" and "quality of manufacture", but we'll put here because why not.
To facilitate his vehicle transformation, Hound's shoulders have extra articulation that allow him to pull his arms way back in a realistic fashion. This is always a cool thing and makes him really fun to play with. You can almost imagine him delivering a nice wind-up punch right to the nose of some rabid Decepticon.
Quality of Manufacture Score: 5/5
LOADOUT
His guns are okay. The long gun has a neat little barrel which looks nicer than the mostly-flat guns most Transformers get, and none of it feels too big or unwieldy. However, he does not have his rocket launcher. When we think about that, our tail stops waggin'. Give rocket launcher. Gib rocket launcher please and thank.
Loadout: 3.5/5
TRANSFORMATIONS Hound transforms into, as previously mentioned, a Jeep.
The Jeep is a classic sort of car design and it's really hard to screw it up. For the most part, his vehicle mode is pretty great, especially once you add the guns and you get a capable, armed little scout vehicle to play with. However, there's one thing that's pretty obnoxious about his transformation:
His arms, tucked on the underside of the Jeep, are SO close to the ground that they can and in fact do impede his vehicular movement. Additionally, his wheels aren't the best on smooth surfaces which is sort of disappointing, and combined with the arms problem his usefulness as a vehicle is pretty limited. He's nice to look at, though, which acts as a moderate offset.
Transformations Score: 3.5/5. Hound should keep his armies in his sleevies, or at the very least somewhere more convenient.
TRANSFORMABILITY
It was a little hard to reason about how to transform him at first, due mostly to confusing and hard to read diagrams in the transformation booklet when it came to getting his wheels aligned. Additionally, the black jeep doorframe part on his back can bump up against and get caught on his legs, making it tricky to get everything hunky-dory.
In the end, though, once you get his transformation down the first time, it's a piece of cake -- he really wants to help you get him into his vehicle mode. Transformers fan's best friend, one supposes.
Transformability Score: 4/5
To sum up, while there are a few hairy decisions about Hound's design and manufacture, he's an overall well-made guy who gives you plenty to chew on, both visually and during actual play. We love this guy and are so happy to have him as a plastic companion to provide endless fun.
When you add it all up, Hound's aggregate score is 25/6, which when rounded down equals 4, and we're more than happy to let sleeping dogs lie.
OVERALL RATING: 4/5

Playing Producer: What Would An Overwatch RPG Need To Be?

Taking a break from my more dramatic posts to do a bit of game analysis here - I'm playing Product Owner and Producer in my head asking just what an RPG of hit game Overwatch would need. Last column I identified that it's probably viable and has good synergy, but it can't be too much like the core game and probably wouldn't be good to introduce to the market for at least 3 years. Also feel free to use any of these ideas.
It's also a fun look and exercise to think about products like games and products. So now let's move on to asking just what an Overwatch RPG would have to be to meet the market we know.
It Must Be Lore Filled
Overwatch has a lot of Lore, individual and worldwide. Any RPG/MMO of Overwatch has to be fairly dripping with lore and details. It should be enough that you don't feel you're playing a game, but reading a book or a seeing a movie.
That's a tall order, but also a place the game can stand out. What an Overwatch RPG/MMO needs to be is the SF/Superhero version of the Fallen London Universe; you have to feel immersed in a place, a lore and a feel when you play or it doesn't work. It has to be designed down to wording choices and colors.
In addition, Lore has to be everyhwere. Hunting down Lore has become a part of Overwatch fandom, which means sticking it everywhere. You want people crawling through restrooms in Junkertown to discover a photo taped to the underside of a label on a pipe. Then they get an achievement.
If this is done right, then right here you can differentiate it from most games - and get people interested. If you can get people who like Lore but not a frenetic FPS, you win.
This of course drives a lot of other choices.
NOTE: Imagine if the first person to discover new lore got a special item or title, and the first 100 also got some bonus. There should also be some kind of experience gain or benefit for lore discovery for each character.
It Must Be Playable In Chunks
One of the great things about Overwatch is that I can sit down, play for 15 minutes, and walk away. I often don't but its tight mission structure means I can. When I do. Which is rarely.
A problem with MMO's is that they can consume people's time - I think that actually drives people away. But you also want retention. Playable small chunks means you get both - people can grind away, but you don't drive them away with long slogs or a massive commitment.
Thus every mission should probably be small, or several independent missions strung together, enough for people to get in, adventure, and get out. This of course fits Overwatch's military-meets-superhero style - go and do the mission and get out. Or if your Reyes, screw them up and then listen to your team complain.
Larger missions, as noted could be strung together - which also provides the bonus that people can play large content how they want. That increases retention, allows your friend to go to the bahtroom before your team starts the next mission, or just finish something off later. Sure we might have some larger/longer raids and such but make this the core.
NOTE: Provide titles, items, cosmetics, etc. to people who complete various numbers of mission. Also, for the people who love marathons, provide the same for people who do various numbers of missions IN A ROW.
It Must Be Social
An Overwatch RPG must be social. Despite complaints about toxicity in the community, I think those complains exist because it clashes with the overall spirit of the community. Overwatch fans love lore, speculation, teaming up, and exchanging fan art and such. I find it surprising positive, cynic that I am.
So any Overwatch game has to be a social engine big enough people can feel part of the community. I'd say if Overwatch RPG/MMO's social features are so interesting you're templted to play ONLY to use them then you win.
This almost certainly means:
Strong matchmaking tools.
Strong social tools to keep up with people.
Gift giving and exchanges of stuff in game (or purchased, we need those microtransactions)
Toxicity control and blocking tools. I almost wonder if a kind of LinkedIn recommendation system could work.
Home/room crafting. That's becoming de rigeur, so put it on in.
Crafting things for others.
Bonuses for good social behavior.
Social areas and events in the game.
Community things like fashion shows, backstories, and art contests.
Social tools have to pretty much appeal to people from Day 1 - you need an embarassment of riches that's also managable and comprehendible.
NOTE: There should be missions or mission parts that are non-combat where characters solve puzzles or just go and talk to people. This would not only fit Overwatch, but also encourage social activities.
It Must Tie Into The Big Picture
The game has to tie into the Overwatch universe in a meaningful way. Characters can't be sitting on the sidelines forever in the shadows of everyone else - they have to make their own paths. They can't outshine the heroes of Overwatch the game, but also have to achieve things. The Lore of the game has to tie into their experiences to bring the in-game fiction and the player experience together.
To me this means:
Things the characters do and missions they're assigned should fit the Overwatch universe.
* Lots of in-game events and special events - maybe even one time - to make it feel like things evolve. STO is a great example of this.
Use of proper settings - while exploring new ones. For instance, you know at some point everyone will want to go to Junkertown or the Moon.
Evolve the storyline to a point where it allows for people to create masses of new heroes (I figure it'd be set a few years after the Recall) to have their own tales.
Have missions and events that let characters "own" their own experiences.
Move the story along for the other Overwatch characters - their achievements should change the game for the players, but they players should make their own way.
This'll take effort - and constant content. But if you make it feel like a living world, that will keep people interested. Plus if it can tie into the game and media . . .
NOTE: This is going to take real work, to truly be a media production with growing lore and a world. It'll be like running a TV show.
Characters Must Matter
Overwatch at its heart is about people making a difference. Oh, it may be a terrible difference. It may be for revenge or greed or dressing like a human Hot Topic. But people in the story have impact.
That has to translate to the game. Which will be challenging, but players have to feel their story is important - and it has to be made important.
Some thoughts on that:
Have regular events where the winning "faction" get some bonus or achieves some victory. That should create temporary in-game alterations and may give some bonus to those who participated.
Have areas that are territorial battles, where factions can take control. Good for PvP.
Have people contribute time or resources to non-combat events to get results - like building new areas.
Have characters have their own storylines and choices for certain elements that have impact; such as choosing which character to agree with in a conflict.
Characters in game must comment on action and character actions.
Players must get a chance to make unique in-game choices, such as crafting or getting rare loot or costumes.
NOTE: This will need special attention in the game design - it will need to be core.
It Must Be Personal
The game must have a very personal feel to it - almost intimate. your character's choices, actions, factions, and so on must make the game feel unique. It should feel that, if you started over, you'd experience an entirely diffrent game.
Many of the common things in RPGs and MMOs do this - character choices, cosmetics, factions. Those, obviously would be here - especially cosmetics, it's Overwatch.
May of the above items would personalize it - and I'll cover characters in a separate post. But I think an Overwatch RPG MMO needs to make most missions personal, unique.
Here's what I think it'd need.
Event/historical missions should have a personal quality or at least a random quality. Maybe an end boss is customized for your loadout.
Missions should be multi-option. Choice should matter and bring about different results.
Missions must be able to fail and have partial successes.
Have a reputation system, but not one that's simple - your reputation should be a kind of reputation. You may be popular with Overwatch, or Talon, but what kind of popularity - the killer who gets sent to gun down enemies, or the team player who gets rescue missions.
Most missions should be - I'm seriously - randomized, procedural, and/or customized. A mission you play should be unique and unrepeatable. That experience is for you and your team alone.
Actions should have effects over time. Maybe your character ends up constantly annoying Doomfist and thus he is swapped in for a boss in another mission as he seeks revenge. Have enough successful missions at Blizzard World and someone mentions it later or it unlocks a special scripted mission.
But what of the Lore, which is a bit hard when you have random missions? I've got an idea for that too - Virtual Reality. As you "rank up" in your faction, you can experience "simulated" story missions as "training." This loads in lore and gives scripted missions - it's just not the main source of story. It'd be like the Overwatch Archives.
Everyone gets their own story - and everyone gets to relive the same history together.
In A Nutshell
So to round up an Overwatch RPG that I think would succeed would be a lore-soaked social game that provides a lot of randomized missions on top of more scripted ones, has a shifting/changing setting based on actions, and produces a highly personal player experience.
Is this doable? Actually, I think so. Most of the parts are obvious or in place, it's probably the procedural balance and elements that'd take work.

Ch 16, from Eirika’s side
Yeah, this is a much better proposition. I totally forgot to adjust bencher’s inventories last chapter and ended up with the convoy full of crap I didn’t need and empty of the crap I did need.
Ewan is both faster and more magical than Knoll, so he can put those heavy tomes to good use. Knoll’s Skill isn’t so great that I want to throw Eclipse his way - he’s got some weak points, but I hope I can train him up, because I know his Summoner promotions is excellent.
The opening narration does not differ from the referenced LP in any way.
Once we get on the map, though.... originally this starts with Eirika saying ‘Brother’ and Ephraim saying the line she’s been given. Considering he’s been running around out of sight and we know where Eirika has been the whole time, this works way better.
(I think the constant use of ‘Brother’ is left over from the original Japanese, which was probably a variant of ‘Oniichan’)
(Also, Eirika says ‘desolate’ rather than ‘desolated’, the latter of which is used often, which I think is also another translation quirk.)
This line is unchanged, as is the dialogue up to it, but it interests me in the way the game is written. It’s actually pretty reasonable - the known king gone, his replacement uncaring, the country is falling apart.
Ephraim’s lines are chopped in half and switched a bit with Eirika. Again, this mod does well at making somewhat stilted dialogue flow more like a real conversation.
I didn’t gif it, but the scene where Orson runs in and grabs ‘Monica’ is pretty interesting to see in action - it makes good use of gameplay movement mechanics to tell a story.
This line isn’t changed, Orson’s whole deal just makes me sad.
No change, just compare the line with Orson’s portrait.
The original line apparently did not include ‘Ephraim?’. Huh.
Lyon’s entire dialogue has been replaced, as has the response.
Gee, Lyon. Hit a little close to home?
I like this change. Not entirely sure what they’re building up to, but it’s very interesting to see Lyon with agency and clarity here.
I have Metis’ Tome, which boosts a single character’s stat growths by 5% across the board. Not entirely sure who to throw it at. Maybe Ephraim, he has not been doing great compared to his sister.
At one level lower, Ephram is +8 HP, +2 Str, -6 Skill, -3 Speed, +0 Luck, +3 Def, -2 Res on Eirika. That Skill in particular hurts him - Lances aren’t nearly as accurate as swords.
In comparison to their averages:
Eirika- -2 HP, +0 Str, +1 Skill, +1 Speed, -2 Luck, +1 Def, +0 Res
Ephraim- +0 HP, -3 Str, -3 Skill, +1 Speed, -1 Luck, +1 Def, +1 Res
In fact, I’m going to toss a Seraph Robe Eirika’s way right now, because two Wyverns attacking her at 13 damage a pop last map scared me juuuuust a little.
Natasha is underperforming, and Artur’s low Skill makes him a poor choice for Sage, so he’s going Bishop and manning the heals this map.
His Luck is still abysmal, but as long as he doesn’t get near a physical foe with a Killer weapon he should be alright. And high Magic is very nice.
I may have accidentally erased the commentary, but Garcia is doing well basically everywhere - a little low on Defense, but with so much HP he’ll be fine. His speed is actually above average for him - not great, but his Con is so monstrous that he can wield practically anything without a penalty. And his Skill is fucking absurd for an axe wielder. If I promote Ross he’s most definitely going Berserker, so this is basically my only chance for a Warrior, and I think it’s a good choice.
My current loadout.
This asshole and the two upper Shaman are carrying Luna. On the other hand, this freaking Level 8 Druid has 14 Magic. Kind of sad.
Aside from turning into a dragon, Myrrh is grabbing over 80 EXP a kill, so this comes in in two fights. Very nice.
I snag Neimi and Amelia’s C Support, which is literally unchanged. Neimi is already doing pretty great on this map, so this’ll make her even more unstoppable.
Well, she’s fast.
Myrrh got poisoned, which is great for Artur’s staff training (though at least some kind soul at IntSys said, ‘Hey, what if promoted units started with weapon levels about E in this game?’)
One issue with this map is that the second half of every Player Phase is spent moving the rest of your army up into the narrow halls. Maybe I should have brought Tethys after all.
There’s this weird pause on the enemy phase, as if every single unit up here is passing manually before the Player Phase begins.
This Knight refused to move on the Enemy Phase, netting Knoll a delicious free kill. I’ve been carefully feeding him up to this point.
Was it worth it...? Well, he now has more Magic than the level 8 enemy Druid, and Skill is important for Dark Magic, but we’ll see.
Also, Eclipse is actually useable in Ewan’s hands after all. We don’t do this yet, but it may be useful later.
The Luna Shaman does not get baited out by Neimi. I drop a save and carefully approach.
It is IMPERATIVE that your bait units have at least 13 Luck or more than 50 Avoid. Luna is bad enough without the crit chance, even on these doofuses.
Amelia’s Avoid is actually so high that she cannot be hit by the Luna Shaman or Druid. It’s incredible.
Colm wastes the Druid for an acceptable level.
Attacking the Shaman+Druid appear to trigger the Warrior’s move. Or maybe I crossed an invisible line.
I don’t know what’s more laughable, that hit rate or the damage.
Joshua effortlessly wastes a Warrior (the Iron Blade gave him enough damage w/out slowing him down too much) and gets a good level for it.
Oh yeah, a bunch of Cavaliers and I think Great Knights filed in last turn. They’re all out of the way at the moment. There’s also a thief, but there’s no chance they’ll get the treasure first so I’m not too concerned.
Oh right, this asshole. Good thing that Warrior didn’t land, cause this does.
Forde kills his own Warrior. Eh....
Eirika wastes a Killing Edge use on a redundant crit for an okay level. Her opportunity to promote comes at the end of this chapter, although thankfully Sacred Stones is nice enough to make it an option rather than mandatory.
Myrrh isn’t quite strong enough or fast enough to one-round a Warrior alone, but managed a great crit when I forgot to soften it up. Maybe a waste of promoted EXP, but I’ll live.
Unfortunately, a second Thief appears on the right side, a signal to hurry up. I sent Forde racing after them, but he got eaten alive by a Hero-Sage-Sage combo and I had to reset.
See, this Sage is holding a Purge (Light-type Siege Tome) and a Divine tome. Whichever they’re not using when they die gets dropped. This means I need to get someone in their face to make them switch before they run out the remaining 4 Purge uses, but I also need to get someone to the right side to beat out the Thief there.
The other Sage has Bolting, and a Gem that can only be stolen, and those Heroes are packing Silver weapons and decent stats, and they move.
Here’s some good news: see, the AI doesn’t ‘see’ Myrrh’s Dragonstone bonuses, so it reads them as if they had actually 7 Res etc. This makes for excellent bait.

So aside from HP, which I’ve already patched up, and Luck, she is on or ahead in every single stat. Outstanding.
That was also the last Great Knight in range this phase, so i don’t have to worry about wasted EXP too much.

She landed, got hit, then critted. I’m almost mad. But that boss EXP should go to the needy.
Back in reality, Forde (armed with the Hoplan Guard), Myrrh, and Ewan sit in countering range. Ewan’s odds aren’t great, but at least he can’t be ORKOed.
Amazingly, both hits land.
The Rogue sprite was definitely made with solely Rennac in mind - Colm’s hair just blends into the headwrap. Oh well, Rennac is fucking useless and Colm is actually decent so here goes.
Those defenses were sorely needed. Definitely not a combat class, though. That’s fine.
Neimi finally makes it up but misses and gets countered, despite actually having the better hit odds. And Colm’s high luck is a godsend, since I don’t have to worry about him getting critted.
Oh yeah. Good thing we nailed that enemy thief, cause gold-the-funds CANNOT be restolen.

Now Amelia is in range, making Neimi even more of a hope. The second chest contained a Hero Crest (Colm’s chest on the left side had a Tomahawk)
Neimi crits, but Orson had healed up to full in the meantime. It’s actually good for people to get hit, because it breaks down uses of his Spear and leaves him with a Silver Sword that’s much easier to counter.
The last chest contains a Talisman.
Artur gets a bad level from just healing this entire map. I mean, Skill is kind of handy vs our current foe, but really....
Dammit.
Neimi finally lands another hit and decides Artur is a role model.
...which I guess there’s a reason for. Huh. I totally forgot they could support.

November 19, 2017
I got seven hours of sleep last night and woke up sometime after nine o'clock. I thought it would be much later. Most of my morning was spent watching YouTube videos and the second season of The Good Place, and playing Starbound. I confirmed my vague recollection that the map in Starbound loops, so if you keep going in one direction you'll eventually come back around to where you started. So I have circumnavigated my first planet. I'm still liking the game but I need to upgrade my stuff so I don't feel so vulnerable every time I see a mob. It would also be nice if the bow and arrow mechanic worked better.
After lunch I mixed my own trail mix. It has: almonds, pistachios, cashews, peanuts, raisins, and dark chocolate chips. I was only going to mix half of what I bought but the container I used was big enough so I said screw it and made it all. I now have 115oz of trail mix. That's a ridiculous amount of trail mix. I might need to freeze some. But, I just did the math and I saved a decent amount of money. Overall, compared to the trail mix I was buying before, I saved $23.19, and that comes out to $0.20 per ounce, which I think is pretty good.
I moved four bookcases into my house today. I put two in my bedroom and two in my office. I still have three in the garage but I'm not sure where I want them yet. Now I need to start bringing books over from my Mom's house. I still don't have nearly enough shelf space for all of my books but it's a start. I managed the bookcases alright but I could feel it in my back when I moved my small routing table. I'm hoping I wake up tomorrow morning and I'm not in pain when I go to sit up in bed.
For dinner I made my stir fry recipe, substituting the brown rice with pad thai noodles. I think I needed to at least break the pad thai noodles in half because in the pan they just created a big rats nest of noodles. Everything turned out alright though and my dinner was tasty.
While I ate I finished catching up on season two of The Good Place and after that I played more CoD: WW2 multiplayer. I prestiged my Infantry division again and I'm still not entirely sure of the purpose other than being able to level it up again and getting a new calling card or something. But I do it because I like leveling. My actual level is forty-one, out of fifty-five, but each level takes progressively more XP to complete. I just looked up a leveling table and it looks like I'm just over halfway to max level. If things continue and I maintain interest in the game, this might be my first time prestiging in years. The problem with prestiging is that you start from scratch and have to unlock everything all over again. And if you're kind of over the game at that point, I don't know that it's worth resetting everything because it would be more fun to jump back into it later if you still had the loadouts you like. I don't know. We'll cross that bridge when we get to it.
It has now once again taken me far too long to write this because I keep getting distracted by a livestream. But now I'm going to record my audio journal and go to bed. I'm looking forward to a

The Equinox Double Stardust Event Haul Megapost
I’m kinda tired of starting off these gigantic loot inventory posts with a picture of a bunch of incubated eggs, so I’ll kick this one off with two milestones granted during the event that were a long time in the making:
These two were actually neck and neck at 196 catches each until a modest uptick in Heracross spawns made the Black Belt medal surge ahead!
My goal for this event was to reach 1,000,000 Stardust again, and to do that I’d have to hatch a ton of eggs and catch a ton of pokemon within the allotted time period. Short, simple, and to the point.
And now for the obligatory Egg Incubator pic to show off the new Incubator:
I did a long string math trying to justify the use of 160 coin incubators over the 150 coin incubators before saying “screw it” and buying a pack (and eventually another one) of Super Incubators.
After scrapping the math, I simplified my reasoning for my strategy: Maximize hatches by maximizing egg turnover. 2k eggs in the Infinity Incubator or a 5k egg if none was available, 5k eggs in the Blue Incubator, and 10k eggs in the Super Incubator since the kilometer discount had the most effect on those.
(Simple Math: 10k = 3.3k reduction // 5k = 1.7k reduction // 2k = 0.7k reduction)
But instead of running everything simultaneously, I only ran 4-5 incubators at once so I could pop in another one as soon as it finished. There’s nothing like going for a nice, long walk only to find out there’s nothing left to hatch when you’re a kilometer away from home and 3 kilometers away from the nearest pokestop. Hasn’t happened to me...yet. And I’d like to keep it that way.
Stardust aside, the Pokemon I hatched were pretty sweet!

The beginning of the event was mostly 2k and 5k eggs with the occasional 10k, but during the last few days the 10k eggs started raining down on me with a vengeance. People seemed to be disgruntled over getting the 10ks, but not me. Why wouldn’t I want an egg packed with globs of stardust?
Meanwhile, I had come to accept that my days of potion-intensive gym battling and having to squeeze every last precious drop out of every single potion I received were over, thus the need for the 200 Max Potions that were clogging up my bag was completely unnecessary.
Therefore, since the start of the month I had been in the process known as Operation Debulk-inator: Trash everything that’s not a Max Potion, use Max Potions for EVERYTHING (because trashing a Max Potion is still HERESY I SAY), and make more room for Pokeballs that can be used to catch more stardust. I had trimmed ‘em down to 140 by the start of the event, and by the time it was done I was down to ~125.
My word, having a loadout of x127 pokeballs // x80 Great Balls // x120 Ultra Balls brought along a feeling of relief, content, and excitement. I should’ve done this weeks ago!
As expected, throwing balls at literally everything and chucking an Ultra Ball at every evolved sack of 600 stardust I could find took a huge toll on my stash. But that’s OK, for there is a time and place for everything. This was a time of excess, so it was totally worth it. With a little persistence, I can and shall rebuild.
Alas, this tale of great bounty is not one without great loss. The town’s Most Popular PoGo Park™ , which had 8 stops and three gyms within one very convenient loop, had all its gyms reverted to stops around the middle of the event. It was a quite the blow for the community, since it was a fond site of all out war in the old system and cross-faction teamwork and triumph in the new one.
And then, two days later, all the stops were taken down, save for a new one near the entrance. The community was up in arms for the entire day and I apparently missed out on the initial ragefest because I was busy that day.
There are two prevailing theories on why they were taken down: One involved nearby residents upset about a couple of cars that blocked the road during raids despite all the parking, and the other involved an Ingress player who, for the sake of accuracy, reported the fact that all the monuments that the stops were originally based on were moved elsewhere.
No more quick and easy balls, no more raids, and no more nonstop event lure parties. It put a bit of a damper on my mood and my event plans -- for about five minutes. That’s when the NABP site finally loaded and I received the news that I passed the NAPLEX. The joy of conquering a life hurdle rushed throughout my study-worn body and soul, and suddenly the loss of a huge community landmark didn’t seem like a huge deal anymore. It was easily one of the best days of my life.
So in conclusion, I reached my goal of 1 million stardust, which made for a total of more than 400k stardust earned. With rumors of Gen 3 being around the corner, I plan on using the dust sparingly (or at least enough to get to the sweet, exact numbers of 999,999 and 1,000,000) instead of going on a mega-splurge like last time.
My back up plan for efficiently stocking up on balls from here on out involves going to a site with 7 stops and two Golden Badge gyms. There’s less stops and it’s much harder to safely maneuver depending on the time of day, but it’s a lot closer to home and a whole lot better than nothing. I’ll probably just take a break from catching stuff for a little while.
Oh, and I caught an Entei for the new dex entry triple XP bonus. But there was so much stardust flying around that I forgot it was a thing until someone mentioned it. Oops.

Steal helicopter missionIn the steal the helicopter missions there needs to be some delay between the enemy entering the cockpit and him taking off for at least two reasons. One, if the enemy reaches the cockpit it's basically an automatic mission failure, there's no chance to try to salvage it. Two, aircraft have lengthy startup procedures, and seeing him jump in and be 100 feet in the air and gone in seconds is silly. Perhaps a 10-ish second delay while the engine/rotor spools up would be good.9. Potato ballisticsWhat about the potato ballistics? The muzzle velocity is really low and the bullet drop insanely high. This sometimes makes sniping a real nightmare.10. Weapon camo/skin does not matchthe shade in Gunsmith is accurate compared to the loadout/skills screen and actually in-game.11. Allow animation cancelIt is frustrating how when I am under fire and my vehicle is about explode, I go through this long animation of opening the door, hopping out, turning around, and closing the door behind me. It locks my camera angle until the long animation is complete. I find myself thinking to my character "JUST MOVE DAMN IT" I should be hopping out with my gun in hand ready to move or fire. Instead, it feels clunky and incredibly non-fluid. Another example is when tagging resources or snapping photos of intel. If someone is shooting at me I should be able to cancel what I am doing and shoot back. Even tagging a supply truck, I tag and the camera and my actions are locked/disabled until I finish tagging and then finish standing up. The moment the tracker is on there i should be able to book it. The era of locked in animations was years ago--needs to be updated.12. Specific issues include damage not matched to real-world caliber, weapon operation not representing real-world efficiency (everything seems to reload about the same speed) and confusion about what the listed stats represent (is recoil under handling or accuracy? Shouldn't recoil go down as weight goes up?) Modern suppressors also should not affect bullet velocity meaningfully.13. AI line of sight issueAI teammates do not actually need LOS to make sync shots or even spot enemies. AI teammates seem to be able to walk right by enemies without being detected.14. Vehicle drop-offVehicle drop will drop will sometimes drop the vehicle on your character killing you, but most of the time it will drop it on the sides on mountains or in between trees and in the case of helicopters they will get destroyed or be able take off. Perhaps vehicles need to spawn closer or on flat ground.15. Alarm towers and generators should not be destroyable with firearmsit makes them pointless, since most players will always just shoot out them from a distance. There needs to be a choice of risk/reward. Do you take a chance and leave them and take out the enemies from a distance risking an alarm or do you risk going into the base disable them beforehand.16. Within the gunsmith, the sight unit is located correctly on the rear mounting rail as part of the barrel assembly.Please see here for correct location of the sight unit. However, once equipping, the ACOG sight unit is appearing in 3rd person view on the frontal top rail, towards the gas block. This does not match with the gunsmith view (the gunsmith view is correct); and where it is mounted in 3rd person ingame, is a hinged cover to allow access to the weapon's gas parts. This is wrong. In the most basic of field cleaning, this rail cover would be opened a lot. We would never mount a sight there, as we'd be there all day zeroing the damn thing again. As in, if you open the chat to type a message while entering a vehicle, you cannot cancel or send the message. Instead all keys still register (typing Go! Throws a grenade) but you cannot send it.5. Push to talk doesn't work in drone or any vehicleI've noticed consistently whenever I'm in drone or any vehicle (Driver or pass) Push to talk doesn't work at all. Even tried changing the keybinding for push to talk to see if that'd fix it, and that was even worse. On foot with a different keybinding (Tab) push to talk activated one out of maybe ten times.6. Xbox One - Silencer sound bugwhen playing co-op with friends sometimes you will be using a silencer on your gun, but to your teammates you are loud and not using a silencer.7. PC - Occasional in-game freezesbeen experiencing momentary freezing while driving around. I haven't seen my FPS drop below about 70 so far on max settings, but every once in a while the game will freeze for 3-4 seconds while driving. The last time it happened I noticed it happened as the sky was changing from day to dusk.8. DLC Sniper rifle the Stampede (Cowboy Lever Action) is not zero'edthe DLC Sniper rifle the Stampede (Cowboy Lever Action) is not zero'ed at all. Shots land 2-3 feet above the target at 100 meters. I believe the iron sights are not aligned, because third person it is fine.9. Picked up sniper rifle not actually suppressedwhen you pick up a sniper rifle off a downed enemy it won't be suppressed. You can put a suppressor on and it sounds suppressed on your side but the enemies and other players in your game will hear it as un-suppressed so it will alert enemies10. Convoy bug/misdesignwhen doing a Story Mission or anything else, once a Convoy passes by you and gets triggered, it fails once the Convoy gets away and interrupts your current mission, forcing a reload, resetting your progress. This mostly happens when getting El Polito's car and the Convoy Story Mission hasn't been done yet. It's pretty random, but every Convoy in the game interrupts what you do, some routes are very close to other missions, thus it can get very frustrating.11. Xbox One - Lost ability to take cover / auto-cover system not working.this bug is massively infuriating. Not sure if it's tied to when you get downed or have to respawn, most times it's happened has been after I've done this. It seems to only happen to me in multiplayer only. It feels like it only happens after exiting a vehicle though, I haven't noticed it after getting revived.12. Clothing BugMulticam shading is not consistent across outfit components - the crye precision shirt is properly shaded but the pants, packs, and helmets/hats are all brighter/unshaded. Also some camouflages are not placed or sized correctly (for example 3-color DCU), and also when you use camouflage on shirt, it is always darker than the same camouflage used on your pants, creating big contrast and unrealistic effect.13. Resource taggingIf you die while tagging a resource then upon your potential revival, you and your teammates can tag that resource again.14. Player/vehicle/swimming animation issueplayers may see another player running alongside or atop a vehicle when they're actually sitting inside the vehicle. The player affected will not see this effect. It seems to occur when someone has previously died in a vehicle. Similar to the vehicle bug, the swimming animation may bug so that other players see another player as constantly swimming (with water trails from each stroke and everything). Just replace the model with a drum and it should be fine (I also think that the magazine that's portrayed ingame is a 20 round magazine and not 30)38. Pressing the hybrid scope button makes the character flick an invisible scope back up to zoom it back in. I don't know if that makes sense, it's like the game forgets to keep the scope on the side if I keep it in red dot view.41. Female shaggy hair + goggles = ADS bugplaying as a female with shaggy hair and goggles sometimes cause your hair to cover you scope when ADS.42. Rebels not spawning in game when starting up at the rally pointfor example I am at faction level 17. When I was at level 16. There would be at least 12 people at my rally point and constant rebels driving through the map. I ranked up to level 17, rally points are full of green dots and map covered in green cars. Once I am done playing for the day, save the game, exit out. I log back into the game next day, my rally point has zero rebels. It seems like the game thinks my faction level is at zero. Seems like a error in the loading time or just a delayed process because they will start to show up 30 minutes into the game.61. Flare bugthe flare of the signal pistol seems only to be shown to the one shooting it, not to the teammates.78. Explosives delayAll explosives in the game seem to suffer from some sort of major lag issues at times. I've had C4 and grenades just sit there for a while well after they should have exploded. The most frustrating thing is the underbarrel grenade launcher is near useless against moving vehicles because the hit doesn't register half the time and several seconds there is just an explosion where the vehicle used to be.79. Guns not loading into gameFairly often when joining a co-op game your character will be holding nothing but have his/her hands in a position as if they are holding an invisible gun. It may take several minutes before they finally do pop in. This also seems to come with huge desync with enemy location and sometimes making you immune to all damage while everything is still slowly loading in. My wife joined me once and we tried defending a rebel radio and she had no gun, could take no damage, and she could not see the enemies in the same spot as me at all. But she could heal me if I fell.... So that was nice I guess.80. Headset bugWhen I equip "Headset D" (As I have purchased the Doorkickers pack from the Store), it automatically unequips it and reverts my character back to wearing "Earpiece". I select Headset D, go back to the Accessories menu, and it's like I never selected it. Every other item I've purchased works but that one. This only happens when equipping facewear with the Patrol cap and any headset. Any goggles/masks + Patrol cap + headset = Headset automatically unequipped, despite the preview showing just fine.81. The scopes on the SVD are not aligned properlythe bullets are offset to the right where the scopes are pointed on most scopes and at least one is to the left of the crosshair.82. PC - The motorbike controls cannot be changed for left and rightI do not use WASD, so I'm using RDFG, and despite being able to map buttons on every other vehicle to RDFG, the motorbike will remain mapped to RADF - not easy to drive that way I'm afraid!83. Windows 10 - Mic BugIf you mute the microphone in-game it will mute it permanent on Windows 10.84. Boats get halfway submerged when driving around in them85. PS4 - M4A1 BugI wanted to look at the damage meter changes between silencer on and off on my M4A1. I push the touch pad to go to menu, go to Loadout tab to see the meter with silencer on. Now back to my actual game screen, I press L2 to aim, press up arrow to take silencer off. Press touch pad, go to Loadout tab, read the meter. Then when I exit out back to Bolivia, my character just reloads out of nowhere as if I have an empty mag. So I repeat. Silencer back on, go to Loadout, then back out. It reloads again. If I do this 5 times straight, I will run out of ammo.86. C4 and possibly other throwables bugYou can throw C4 and possibly other throwables through thin objects by orienting your character so that the arm goes through the object when it releases the throwable.87. You can hear players walking when they're still in a post-mission cutscene in a safehouse88. Players are unable to shoot out of trunks, AI players can89. Heli > water bugIf you land a helicopter in the water the engine will continue to run normally, even after it sinks. Being in the water doesn't seem to cause any damage or ill effects whatsoever.90. Parachuting bugEvery now and then when I jump out of a chopper to parachute, I get stuck in the air, after my chute deploys. Multiplayer/Coop in-game synchronizationwhile playing in coop, we have noticed multiple times that some of the objects/enemies/etc. are not in the same place for everyone in the group. The synchronization between the server and clients needs to be improved. There are also reports about weather not being synchronized. The character conversations in Coop is not synchronized as well.3. Vehicles aren't durable enoughthey get blown up way too easily. Even the heavily armors APC tank can't survive some machine gun fire. discussion.4. Keep crouched positionwhen crouched, and grabbing an enemy. Please make the character go back to crouched position after knocking out the enemy. Not just stand straight up.5. Disappearing bodiesdead bodies should only disappear when the player is too far away and no longer in area of operations. discussion6. Defeated bases / SAM sites must go into rebel/ghost control and should not respawnabsolutely hate that defeating a base means nothing. I spend at least a half an hour taking over a base to get rid of it's SAMs and drone jammers and guess what? It doesn't even matter! I leave, come back, and not only is base control reverted, but annoying ass SAMs and jammers are back up! Why do I even bother? I don't even try to attack bases anymore, I just avoid them entirely unless there's something from them that I need like intel or a skill point. Nothing ruins a game like the feeling that not only is all of your effort for naught, but all of the little annoyances will come back even if you defeat them. Of all of the features that might bother me, this is the worst. discussion :: discussion7. Vehicles are too slowBikes and most cars are too slow.I can't play because some times target escapes and cars too slow I can't take them. it feels like the vehicles are stuck in first gear.8. Steal helicopter missionIn the steal the helicopter missions there needs to be some delay between the enemy entering the cockpit and him taking off for at least two reasons. One, if the enemy reaches the cockpit it's basically an automatic mission failure, there's no chance to try to salvage it. Two, aircraft have lengthy startup procedures, and seeing him jump in and be 100 feet in the air and gone in seconds is silly. Perhaps a 10-ish second delay while the engine/rotor spools up would be good.9. Potato ballisticsWhat about the potato ballistics? The muzzle velocity is really low and the bullet drop insanely high. This sometimes makes sniping a real nightmare.10. Weapon camo/skin does not matchthe shade in Gunsmith is accurate compared to the loadout/skills screen and actually in-game.11. Allow animation cancelIt is frustrating how when I am under fire and my vehicle is about explode, I go through this long animation of opening the door, hopping out, turning around, and closing the door behind me. It locks my camera angle until the long animation is complete. I find myself thinking to my character "JUST MOVE DAMN IT" I should be hopping out with my gun in hand ready to move or fire. Instead, it feels clunky and incredibly non-fluid. Another example is when tagging resources or snapping photos of intel. If someone is shooting at me I should be able to cancel what I am doing and shoot back. Even tagging a supply truck, I tag and the camera and my actions are locked/disabled until I finish tagging and then finish standing up. The moment the tracker is on there i should be able to book it. The era of locked in animations was years ago--needs to be updated.12. Retired Army vet and gunsmith feedbackI feel like the mechanics of ballistics and weapon attachments aren't quite thought out. Specific issues include damage not matched to real-world caliber, weapon operation not representing real-world efficiency (everything seems to reload about the same speed) and confusion about what the listed stats represent (is recoil under handling or accuracy? Shouldn't recoil go down as weight goes up?) Modern suppressors also should not affect bullet velocity meaningfully.13. AI line of sight issueAI teammates do not actually need LOS to make sync shots or even spot enemies. AI teammates seem to be able to walk right by enemies without being detected.14. Vehicle drop-offVehicle drop will drop will sometimes drop the vehicle on your character killing you, but most of the time it will drop it on the sides on mountains or in between trees and in the case of helicopters they will get destroyed or be able take off. Perhaps vehicles need to spawn closer or on flat ground.15. Alarm towers and generators should not be destroyable with firearmsit makes them pointless, since most players will always just shoot out them from a distance. There needs to be a choice of risk/reward. Do you take a chance and leave them and take out the enemies from a distance risking an alarm or do you risk going into the base disable them beforehand.16. Rejoin timer is way too shortIf I crash and reload the game it gives me an option to rejoin but by the time I notice it, it has already expired.SUGGESTIONS1. The AI teammates customizationwe should be able to customize the AI teammates.2. Let us choose to be revived or not ("bleed out" button)there should be a respawn button when you die in a single player. We should have a choice whether to be revived by an AI teammate in singleplayer or not. discussion :: discussion3. Allow us to drag the bodiesit would be nice to be able to drag the bodies away (related to disappearing bodies as well) discussion4. Night vision goggleswhen using night vision, the night vision goggles are not actually visible on players head (it is basically just a screen filter). Please consider adding Night Vision Goggles (NVGS) to helmets / stand alone.5. Add a scope larger than 6xthe map is huge and the highest magnification is only 6x, at least make it 12-14x.6. Add compasswe want to play without any HUD at all, and to do this we need more navigation tools than just the map. Because of this, we would very much appreciate having a compass.7. Pulling the trigger behind cover without aiming should blind fireI hate when the game takes me out of cover when all I wanna do is spray some bullets at the enemy from safety. If I aim from behind cover then it should expose me for precise targeting.18. Add bipods and reticles for helicopters with forward firing weaponsBipods and reticles for any helicopter that has forward firing weapons. I'm really just guessing where the miniguns will shoot than I am actually aiming.19. Add in an option to turn off AI squadmate's chatter completelywhen using the drone and marking targets I've had several people speak over each other as a target is seen. After a skirmish with enemies that you started silently but then went loud (on purpose) you'll get a squadmate say "that was fucking messy" - screw you I don't want to know what you think! Or pointing a gun at a civilian and you'll get "maybe we should lower our weapons" - I'm the squad leader, don't tell me what to do!20. Add a home basesomewhere to store the cars, copters ansld guns I find that arent in my loadout. It would ve cool if it had a skill system to upgrade your base and enemies could attack it or trigger events when you're playing.21. Add rappelling and more breaching options (fast-rope)more doors to kick down or blow up and rappelling for getting up or down buildings or cliffs to high to climb up or fall down but too low to BASE jump from. discussion22. Rethink the command group wheel for consoleI think they should rethink the command group wheel for console. This might be great in PC, but in console this is quite the drag. Plus, why do I have to stop to make these marching orders? I feel like the character should be allowed to move while it is making these commands to the group. Allowing me to move while making these commands would make the game play feel much more fluid, then feeling like I am stopping to get a bite of my burrito.23. Assign different dialogues to other playersFor players 2-4 to be assigned dialogue from Midas, Holt, and Weaver. So when you're playing in Multiplayer, you don't have 4 Nomads going "Deploying Drone", "Drones up", "I got the Bike!", "I'll fly", etc.24. Add a wing suitAdd a wing suit! How cool would that be to glide around the mountains and stuff like that, it would be so fun!25. The Ghosts always perform a full reload even if theres a round left in the chamberfix this and add a tactical reload so that the ghosts just swap the mags if there are bullets left. R6S is a good example for this. I'm used to reload before the mag is fully empty because it saves time in combat. And i'm positive that special forces would do it the same way. Also the Ghosts should use their support hand to pull the charging handle.26. Landing gearlet me raise and lower landing gear on aircraft that have landing gear that can be raised and lowered.27. Add mission checkpoints28. The option to get rid of all or some AI and to disable rebels appearingI am stealthy infiltrating a compound when out of nowhere the rebels start shooting the cartel and or unidad getting me detected when I'm hundreds of meters away sniping. Detection is also a butch of bs. When I'm playing with friends, I get detected too when I'm hundreds of meters away.29. Allow us to select type of vehicle on the vehicle drop in skill30. T3 Vehicle drop helicopter is an unarmoredT3 Vehicle drop helicopter is an unarmored, unarmed scout, while T2 is an armored suv with a minigun, which doesnt makes any sense at all. You cant switch back to the suv either. T3 should be the armored APC instead, not a helicopter that you can shoot down with your assault rifle.31. Allow us to lock shoulder view (left/right)there should be an option to lock shoulder view, so that we can have character on either left or right side permanently, without the need to switch.32. Add the ability to give squad commands while moving33. Add wire cutters to get through fences34. Add a Forward roll animation (Division) and a Sprint to Slide Animation35. The GPS line on your mini-map is ridiculously hard to seeI've tried changing settings on the tv but it doesn't really make it better. It's a light blue line again a light grey background, it's really hard to see. Especially in towns where enemy glow covers the mini map. A bright green or yellow gps line would be so much easier to see when you're driving and you only have a quick second to glance at the mini map.37. Spawn whatever vehicle we wantThe ability to spawn whatever vehicle you want after unlocking all the rebel things. This should include APCs, the Humvee/jeep thing that's in the teaser, the armored humvee, Motorcyle, unarmed scout heil, armed scout heli, transport heli (armed), planes.38. Add a stealth and Loud command for AI teammatesThe amount of times the mission requires me to be stealthy and they end up shooting someone or being detected is a joke.39. Wildlife would be coolI don't need a full blown Far Cry experience, but wildlife would be cool. Particularly dangerous wildlife. At certain points in the game you actually hear cartel members talking about how scared they are of jaguars. Would be awesome if they were actually in the game. At least in the jungle biomes.40. Let us remap the Map key41. If ARs get a special ability (Underbarrel GL), then SMGs, LMGs, and Snipers should get something tooI have no idea what SMGs should get, but LMGs should get bipods or inverse recoil (more accurate the longer you hold down the trigger), Snipers could have a main sniper scope and a 45 degree mounted reflex sight, and Shotguns could get limited amounts of alternate shotgun rounds (flechette, slugs, Dragon's Breath etc.) of varying quantities.42. The Home Pad on the right side of the keyboard needs to be unlockedcurrently unable to bind keys to and of those 6 keys.43. All stationary weapons are the exact same minigun, add more variety44. Add smoke grenadesCan't have a tactical game without smoke grenades. (Hand thrown and 40mm) plus, they would help with covering you while you revive a teammate or need to fall back.45. Being able to drop a chemlight in a room after you've cleared it so you know that building is good or to mark a route for exfil. Depending on the vest or armor you have on; it will limit your range of motionFor exmple, have larger vest be able to take more damage but move slower. Have light vest or no vest be able to move quicker but take more damage.47. Make different color ghille suits for different terrain48. Let us see everything we picked up on the TacMap and mini map, but greyed out49. AI teammates should be able to use the gunship's undernose gunas it stands, the gunship is useless in solo because the AI can't do anything and the rocket pods can't hit anything due to the controls and lack of reticule.50. Have the range finder actually display range while looking through a scopeIt would really help with realism and no HUD player.51. Let us put filters on the map. The clutter is very real.52. Diversion Lure needs different icon colourDiversion Lure needs different icon colour and maybe different icon too. It causes team panic when infiltrating and seeing huge grenade icon popping up in red.53. Sync shot timer should be addedDue to voice communication lag, sync shot does not feel all that synced. It is not so much problem when playing with friends only, as you get used to each other's timing and lag, but it is especially noticeable when playing with randoms.54. Make it possible to shoot out of the back of all vehicles, not just a small select fewMakes no sense being able to shoot out of a cramp sedan trunk but not out of the SUV when I have a better position for firing.BUGS1. Weapon bug - L85A2 with TA31H (ACOG)I have the L85A2 with TA31H (ACOG). Within the gunsmith, the sight unit is located correctly on the rear mounting rail as part of the barrel assembly.Please see here for correct location of the sight unit. However, once equipping, the ACOG sight unit is appearing in 3rd person view on the frontal top rail, towards the gas block. This does not match with the gunsmith view (the gunsmith view is correct); and where it is mounted in 3rd person ingame, is a hinged cover to allow access to the weapon's gas parts. This is wrong. In the most basic of field cleaning, this rail cover would be opened a lot. We would never mount a sight there, as we'd be there all day zeroing the damn thing again. Source: British Army, SAA Instructor (Inf).2. Character/slot bugwhen using the second or third save slot, I can't see the character, he is hidden behind the customization menu to the left.3. Xbox One - Scroll bugIf I scroll too far down into locked accessories (hats for example) I lose control of the menu entirely. The only way to regain it is to back all the way out to the first customization page.4. PC - Vehicle Chat is buggedin PC mode the vehicle chat is still bugged. As in, if you open the chat to type a message while entering a vehicle, you cannot cancel or send the message. Instead all keys still register (typing Go! Throws a grenade) but you cannot send it.5. Push to talk doesn't work in drone or any vehicleI've noticed consistently whenever I'm in drone or any vehicle (Driver or pass) Push to talk doesn't work at all. Even tried changing the keybinding for push to talk to see if that'd fix it, and that was even worse. On foot with a different keybinding (Tab) push to talk activated one out of maybe ten times.6. Xbox One - Silencer sound bugwhen playing co-op with friends sometimes you will be using a silencer on your gun, but to your teammates you are loud and not using a silencer.7. PC - Occasional in-game freezesbeen experiencing momentary freezing while driving around. I haven't seen my FPS drop below about 70 so far on max settings, but every once in a while the game will freeze for 3-4 seconds while driving. The last time it happened I noticed it happened as the sky was changing from day to dusk.8. DLC Sniper rifle the Stampede (Cowboy Lever Action) is not zero'edthe DLC Sniper rifle the Stampede (Cowboy Lever Action) is not zero'ed at all. Shots land 2-3 feet above the target at 100 meters. I believe the iron sights are not aligned, because third person it is fine.9. Picked up sniper rifle not actually suppressedwhen you pick up a sniper rifle off a downed enemy it won't be suppressed. You can put a suppressor on and it sounds suppressed on your side but the enemies and other players in your game will hear it as un-suppressed so it will alert enemies10. Convoy bug/misdesignwhen doing a Story Mission or anything else, once a Convoy passes by you and gets triggered, it fails once the Convoy gets away and interrupts your current mission, forcing a reload, resetting your progress. This mostly happens when getting El Polito's car and the Convoy Story Mission hasn't been done yet. It's pretty random, but every Convoy in the game interrupts what you do, some routes are very close to other missions, thus it can get very frustrating.11. Xbox One - Lost ability to take cover / auto-cover system not working.this bug is massively infuriating. Not sure if it's tied to when you get downed or have to respawn, most times it's happened has been after I've done this. It seems to only happen to me in multiplayer only. It feels like it only happens after exiting a vehicle though, I haven't noticed it after getting revived.12. Clothing BugMulticam shading is not consistent across outfit components - the crye precision shirt is properly shaded but the pants, packs, and helmets/hats are all brighter/unshaded. Also some camouflages are not placed or sized correctly (for example 3-color DCU), and also when you use camouflage on shirt, it is always darker than the same camouflage used on your pants, creating big contrast and unrealistic effect.13. Resource taggingIf you die while tagging a resource then upon your potential revival, you and your teammates can tag that resource again.14. Player/vehicle/swimming animation issueplayers may see another player running alongside or atop a vehicle when they're actually sitting inside the vehicle. The player affected will not see this effect. It seems to occur when someone has previously died in a vehicle. Similar to the vehicle bug, the swimming animation may bug so that other players see another player as constantly swimming (with water trails from each stroke and everything). This occurred after I parachuted into a river and was only visible to my teammates.15. The Deluxe Edition shotgun bugthe Deluxe Edition shotgun has a misaligned ironsight. I've read several threads about this and there is no solution yet. The game is installed on a SSD, and I've got a gtx1070... This needs to be fixed.23. Stoner LMG folded buttstock nowhere to be foundStoner LMG folded buttstock nowhere to be found, it says San Mateo, but it's not anywhere on the map for this specific weapon.24. PS4 - Intel BugMajor Intel not appearing when entering the province of Montuyok.25. Drone flying into heli bugFlying a drone into a helicopter's blades causes a lot of damage and will usually one hit kill Little Birds. This can easily happen when deploying drones from a passenger seat. You have to hold the down button to stop it from flying up.26. Destroyed convoys can still be tagged27. Playing for a long time (hours) will break some game featuresvehicle radios stop playing music, missions may break. The third sub mission in the east had the sub not spawn until we restarted the mission.28. El Cerebro's assistant refuses to get into his car if you restart the missionhe just stands there. Sometimes he'll fake get in by pretending to open the door and then sitting in mid air before standing again. In addition, you pass by a Unidad base whose soldiers can spot you and fail the mission, forcing you to restart the game.29. The laser on the stoner lmg does not show up or give an option to turn on or off30. MK17 BugWhen using the MK17 it has the extended mag showing in the gun when I have the standard mag equipped. IMO the extended mag looks ugly on the MK17 so I only use the standard mag on it, but it still shows the extended mag in game and it's driving me insane.31. 3 round burst bugThere is a bug with 3 round burst resulting in a dead trigger (click to fire, nothing happens). I've only tested this on the G36C. This is on PC.32. Tac-map bugWhen one of your teammates puts a way-point on a gun or part, you cannot tell what it is when you hover over it in the TAC-MAP.33. Map glitchFallen through the map multiple times. Walking around on rocky hillsides is extremely glitchy. Respawn points for certain camps/missions are terrible and make you walk hella far around a rocky structure.34. PS4 Bug - Unidad patrol levelI can't see the Unidad patrol level on my HUD. It displays correctly in the factions tab.35. The M1891 Nagant incorrectly has a straight boltit should have a bent bolt to fit under the scope when cycled.36. AUG BugThe 20 round magazine of the AUG looks like a 30 round magazine and the 30 round magazine looks like (I think) a 50 round magazine (which makes the magazine look unnecessarily long)37. SASG-12 BugThe SASG-12s 30 round mag looks ridiculous. Just replace the model with a drum and it should be fine (I also think that the magazine that's portrayed ingame is a 20 round magazine and not 30)38. Xbox - XP BugI can gain XP, or at least it shows that I am getting it but my blue bar is maxed out at level 6 and will not let me progress to any higher levels. Is anyone else having this issue? I didn't have my XP progress bar for the HUD turned out originally so I didn't even notice this but I have already played about 18 hours worth and have around 25 skill points unused and really do not want to start over.39. Drone/Binoculars bugSometimes after parachuting or bailing from a destroyed helicopter, I cannot use drone or binocs for an extended amount of time.40. The hybrid scope bugif I switch weapons and switch back, the hybrid scope would be flicked into position while zoomed out at the same time (as if the scope wasn't flicked into position) . Pressing the hybrid scope button makes the character flick an invisible scope back up to zoom it back in. I don't know if that makes sense, it's like the game forgets to keep the scope on the side if I keep it in red dot view.41. Female shaggy hair + goggles = ADS bugplaying as a female with shaggy hair and goggles sometimes cause your hair to cover you scope when ADS.42. PC- Unable to complete side missions / gather intel etc.when locating intel or interrogations that are not part of main quest line, player animates like he is photographing / talking to target item/person but stays frozen in that state until right mouse button is clicked. Intel is not obtained or gathered. This may be related to the UI as I have most HUD elements off.43. Xbox One - Deluxe edition charactersI cannot see/use Mountain or Wolf even though it was shown as being "unlocked in CharacterSmith".44. Rebels should not be able to kill a target while I'm interrogating them45. Crosshair shows one area where you bullet is supposed to fly to, when zoomed into iron sights - you will hit different spot46. PS4 Gold Edition (digital download) - Infinite Booster issueis having a wide spread issue with the Infinite Booster. Some users report no problems, some had it working and it timed out, and some users have never had it active at all. By the time the bug gets fixed, it won't be beneficial.47. Fast travel gets rid of whatever gun you have and if it is not "owned"48. Weapon Optic Bug - Micro T1 & G33 magnifierWhen using the Micro T1 & G33 magnifier the HUD will display 3x in the lower left corner, when the magnifier is pushed to the side and you're actually viewing at 1x. Then when utilizing the magnifier the HUD will display 1x. The optic functions fine it's just the information on the HUD is reversed. I was using the 556xi when I noticed it.50. Had to parachute out.59. The missile warning sound bugI had a bug where the missile warning sound kept going even there was no missile and I was not even in a heli. Tried dying, fast travel, booted game, booted PC but it still kept going and it sure was annoying af. I got rid of it by finding a heli and finding a anti-air to shoot me down.60. Rebels not spawning in game when starting up at the rally pointfor example I am at faction level 17. When I was at level 16. There would be at least 12 people at my rally point and constant rebels driving through the map. I ranked up to level 17, rally points are full of green dots and map covered in green cars. Once I am done playing for the day, save the game, exit out. I log back into the game next day, my rally point has zero rebels. It seems like the game thinks my faction level is at zero. AKA: I can't do any main missions in Pucara because I haven't been introduced to the buchon yet and I haven't been able to get the conversation to trigger.77. Flare bugthe flare of the signal pistol seems only to be shown to the one shooting it, not to the teammates.78. Explosives delayAll explosives in the game seem to suffer from some sort of major lag issues at times. I've had C4 and grenades just sit there for a while well after they should have exploded. The most frustrating thing is the underbarrel grenade launcher is near useless against moving vehicles because the hit doesn't register half the time and several seconds there is just an explosion where the vehicle used to be.79. Guns not loading into gameFairly often when joining a co-op game your character will be holding nothing but have his/her hands in a position as if they are holding an invisible gun. It may take several minutes before they finally do pop in. This also seems to come with huge desync with enemy location and sometimes making you immune to all damage while everything is still slowly loading in. My wife joined me once and we tried defending a rebel radio and she had no gun, could take no damage, and she could not see the enemies in the same spot as me at all. But she could heal me if I fell.... So that was nice I guess.80. Headset bugWhen I equip "Headset D" (As I have purchased the Doorkickers pack from the Store), it automatically unequips it and reverts my character back to wearing "Earpiece". I select Headset D, go back to the Accessories menu, and it's like I never selected it. Every other item I've purchased works but that one. This only happens when equipping facewear with the Patrol cap and any headset. Any goggles/masks + Patrol cap + headset = Headset automatically unequipped, despite the preview showing just fine.81. The scopes on the SVD are not aligned properlythe bullets are offset to the right where the scopes are pointed on most scopes and at least one is to the left of the crosshair.82. PC - The motorbike controls cannot be changed for left and rightI do not use WASD, so I'm using RDFG, and despite being able to map buttons on every other vehicle to RDFG, the motorbike will remain mapped to RADF - not easy to drive that way I'm afraid!83. Windows 10 - Mic BugIf you mute the microphone in-game it will mute it permanent on Windows 10.84. Boats get halfway submerged when driving around in them85. PS4 - M4A1 BugI wanted to look at the damage meter changes between silencer on and off on my M4A1. I push the touch pad to go to menu, go to Loadout tab to see the meter with silencer on. Now back to my actual game screen, I press L2 to aim, press up arrow to take silencer off. Press touch pad, go to Loadout tab, read the meter. Then when I exit out back to Bolivia, my character just reloads out of nowhere as if I have an empty mag. So I repeat. Silencer back on, go to Loadout, then back out. It reloads again. If I do this 5 times straight, I will run out of ammo.86. C4 and possibly other throwables bugYou can throw C4 and possibly other throwables through thin objects by orienting your character so that the arm goes through the object when it releases the throwable.87. You can hear players walking when they're still in a post-mission cutscene in a safehouse88. Players are unable to shoot out of trunks, AI players can89. Heli > water bugIf you land a helicopter in the water the engine will continue to run normally, even after it sinks. Being in the water doesn't seem to cause any damage or ill effects whatsoever.90. Parachuting bugEvery now and then when I jump out of a chopper to parachute, I get stuck in the air, after my chute deploys. Helicopter & Airplane handlinghelicopter handling is still problematic and frustrating. discussion :: discussion :: discussion2. Multiplayer/Coop in-game synchronizationwhile playing in coop, we have noticed multiple times that some of the objects/enemies/etc. are not in the same place for everyone in the group. The synchronization between the server and clients needs to be improved. There are also reports about weather not being synchronized. The character conversations in Coop is not synchronized as well.3. Vehicles aren't durable enoughthey get blown up way too easily. Even the heavily armors APC tank can't survive some machine gun fire. discussion.4. Keep crouched positionwhen crouched, and grabbing an enemy. Please make the character go back to crouched position after knocking out the enemy. Not just stand straight up.5. Disappearing bodiesdead bodies should only disappear when the player is too far away and no longer in area of operations. discussion6. Defeated bases / SAM sites must go into rebel/ghost control and should not respawnabsolutely hate that defeating a base means nothing. I spend at least a half an hour taking over a base to get rid of it's SAMs and drone jammers and guess what? It doesn't even matter! I leave, come back, and not only is base control reverted, but annoying ass SAMs and jammers are back up! Why do I even bother? I don't even try to attack bases anymore, I just avoid them entirely unless there's something from them that I need like intel or a skill point. Nothing ruins a game like the feeling that not only is all of your effort for naught, but all of the little annoyances will come back even if you defeat them. Of all of the features that might bother me, this is the worst. discussion :: discussion7. Vehicles are too slowBikes and most cars are too slow.I can't play because some times target escapes and cars too slow I can't take them. it feels like the vehicles are stuck in first gear.8. Steal helicopter missionIn the steal the helicopter missions there needs to be some delay between the enemy entering the cockpit and him taking off for at least two reasons. One, if the enemy reaches the cockpit it's basically an automatic mission failure, there's no chance to try to salvage it. Two, aircraft have lengthy startup procedures, and seeing him jump in and be 100 feet in the air and gone in seconds is silly. Perhaps a 10-ish second delay while the engine/rotor spools up would be good.9. Potato ballisticsWhat about the potato ballistics? The muzzle velocity is really low and the bullet drop insanely high. This sometimes makes sniping a real nightmare.10. Weapon camo/skin does not matchthe shade in Gunsmith is accurate compared to the loadout/skills screen and actually in-game.11. Allow animation cancelIt is frustrating how when I am under fire and my vehicle is about explode, I go through this long animation of opening the door, hopping out, turning around, and closing the door behind me. It locks my camera angle until the long animation is complete. I find myself thinking to my character "JUST MOVE DAMN IT" I should be hopping out with my gun in hand ready to move or fire. Instead, it feels clunky and incredibly non-fluid. Another example is when tagging resources or snapping photos of intel. If someone is shooting at me I should be able to cancel what I am doing and shoot back. Even tagging a supply truck, I tag and the camera and my actions are locked/disabled until I finish tagging and then finish standing up. The moment the tracker is on there i should be able to book it. The era of locked in animations was years ago--needs to be updated.12. Retired Army vet and gunsmith feedbackI feel like the mechanics of ballistics and weapon attachments aren't quite thought out. Specific issues include damage not matched to real-world caliber, weapon operation not representing real-world efficiency (everything seems to reload about the same speed) and confusion about what the listed stats represent (is recoil under handling or accuracy? Shouldn't recoil go down as weight goes up?) Modern suppressors also should not affect bullet velocity meaningfully.13. AI line of sight issueAI teammates do not actually need LOS to make sync shots or even spot enemies. AI teammates seem to be able to walk right by enemies without being detected.14. Vehicle drop-offVehicle drop will drop will sometimes drop the vehicle on your character killing you, but most of the time it will drop it on the sides on mountains or in between trees and in the case of helicopters they will get destroyed or be able take off. Perhaps vehicles need to spawn closer or on flat ground.15. Alarm towers and generators should not be destroyable with firearmsit makes them pointless, since most players will always just shoot out them from a distance. There needs to be a choice of risk/reward. Do you take a chance and leave them and take out the enemies from a distance risking an alarm or do you risk going into the base disable them beforehand.16. Rejoin timer is way too shortIf I crash and reload the game it gives me an option to rejoin but by the time I notice it, it has already expired.SUGGESTIONS1. The AI teammates customizationwe should be able to customize the AI teammates.2. Let us choose to be revived or not ("bleed out" button)there should be a respawn button when you die in a single player. We should have a choice whether to be revived by an AI teammate in singleplayer or not. discussion :: discussion3. Allow us to drag the bodiesit would be nice to be able to drag the bodies away (related to disappearing bodies as well) discussion4. Night vision goggleswhen using night vision, the night vision goggles are not actually visible on players head (it is basically just a screen filter). Please consider adding Night Vision Goggles (NVGS) to helmets / stand alone.5. Add a scope larger than 6xthe map is huge and the highest magnification is only 6x, at least make it 12-14x.6. Add compasswe want to play without any HUD at all, and to do this we need more navigation tools than just the map. Because of this, we would very much appreciate having a compass.7. Add car hornsvehicles have horns people who drive them need horns. Kindly give us horns in vehicles.8. Pulling the trigger behind cover without aiming should blind fireI hate when the game takes me out of cover when all I wanna do is spray some bullets at the enemy from safety. If I aim from behind cover then it should expose me for precise targeting.18. Add bipods and reticles for helicopters with forward firing weaponsBipods and reticles for any helicopter that has forward firing weapons. I'm really just guessing where the miniguns will shoot than I am actually aiming.19. Add in an option to turn off AI squadmate's chatter completelywhen using the drone and marking targets I've had several people speak over each other as a target is seen. After a skirmish with enemies that you started silently but then went loud (on purpose) you'll get a squadmate say "that was fucking messy" - screw you I don't want to know what you think! Or pointing a gun at a civilian and you'll get "maybe we should lower our weapons" - I'm the squad leader, don't tell me what to do!20. Add a home basesomewhere to store the cars, copters ansld guns I find that arent in my loadout. It would ve cool if it had a skill system to upgrade your base and enemies could attack it or trigger events when you're playing.21. Add rappelling and more breaching options (fast-rope)more doors to kick down or blow up and rappelling for getting up or down buildings or cliffs to high to climb up or fall down but too low to BASE jump from. discussion22. Rethink the command group wheel for consoleI think they should rethink the command group wheel for console. This might be great in PC, but in console this is quite the drag. Plus, why do I have to stop to make these marching orders? I feel like the character should be allowed to move while it is making these commands to the group. Allowing me to move while making these commands would make the game play feel much more fluid, then feeling like I am stopping to get a bite of my burrito.23. Assign different dialogues to other playersFor players 2-4 to be assigned dialogue from Midas, Holt, and Weaver. So when you're playing in Multiplayer, you don't have 4 Nomads going "Deploying Drone", "Drones up", "I got the Bike!", "I'll fly", etc.24. Add a wing suitAdd a wing suit! How cool would that be to glide around the mountains and stuff like that, it would be so fun!25. The Ghosts always perform a full reload even if theres a round left in the chamberfix this and add a tactical reload so that the ghosts just swap the mags if there are bullets left. R6S is a good example for this. I'm used to reload before the mag is fully empty because it saves time in combat. And i'm positive that special forces would do it the same way. Also the Ghosts should use their support hand to pull the charging handle.26. Landing gearlet me raise and lower landing gear on aircraft that have landing gear that can be raised and lowered.27. Add mission checkpoints28. The option to get rid of all or some AI and to disable rebels appearingI am stealthy infiltrating a compound when out of nowhere the rebels start shooting the cartel and or unidad getting me detected when I'm hundreds of meters away sniping. Detection is also a butch of bs. When I'm playing with friends, I get detected too when I'm hundreds of meters away.29. Allow us to select type of vehicle on the vehicle drop in skill30. T3 Vehicle drop helicopter is an unarmoredT3 Vehicle drop helicopter is an unarmored, unarmed scout, while T2 is an armored suv with a minigun, which doesnt makes any sense at all. You cant switch back to the suv either. T3 should be the armored APC instead, not a helicopter that you can shoot down with your assault rifle.31. Allow us to lock shoulder view (left/right)there should be an option to lock shoulder view, so that we can have character on either left or right side permanently, without the need to switch.32. Add the ability to give squad commands while moving33. Add wire cutters to get through fences34. Add a Forward roll animation (Division) and a Sprint to Slide Animation35. The GPS line on your mini-map is ridiculously hard to seeI've tried changing settings on the tv but it doesn't really make it better. It's a light blue line again a light grey background, it's really hard to see. Especially in towns where enemy glow covers the mini map. A bright green or yellow gps line would be so much easier to see when you're driving and you only have a quick second to glance at the mini map.37. Spawn whatever vehicle we wantThe ability to spawn whatever vehicle you want after unlocking all the rebel things. This should include APCs, the Humvee/jeep thing that's in the teaser, the armored humvee, Motorcyle, unarmed scout heil, armed scout heli, transport heli (armed), planes.38. Add a stealth and Loud command for AI teammatesThe amount of times the mission requires me to be stealthy and they end up shooting someone or being detected is a joke.39. Wildlife would be coolI don't need a full blown Far Cry experience, but wildlife would be cool. Particularly dangerous wildlife. At certain points in the game you actually hear cartel members talking about how scared they are of jaguars. Would be awesome if they were actually in the game. At least in the jungle biomes.40. Let us remap the Map key41. If ARs get a special ability (Underbarrel GL), then SMGs, LMGs, and Snipers should get something tooI have no idea what SMGs should get, but LMGs should get bipods or inverse recoil (more accurate the longer you hold down the trigger), Snipers could have a main sniper scope and a 45 degree mounted reflex sight, and Shotguns could get limited amounts of alternate shotgun rounds (flechette, slugs, Dragon's Breath etc.) of varying quantities.42. The Home Pad on the right side of the keyboard needs to be unlockedcurrently unable to bind keys to and of those 6 keys.43. All stationary weapons are the exact same minigun, add more variety44. Add smoke grenadesCan't have a tactical game without smoke grenades. (Hand thrown and 40mm) plus, they would help with covering you while you revive a teammate or need to fall back.45. Being able to drop a chemlight in a room after you've cleared it so you know that building is good or to mark a route for exfil. Depending on the vest or armor you have on; it will limit your range of motionFor exmple, have larger vest be able to take more damage but move slower. Have light vest or no vest be able to move quicker but take more damage.47. Make different color ghille suits for different terrain48. Let us see everything we picked up on the TacMap and mini map, but greyed out49. AI teammates should be able to use the gunship's undernose gunas it stands, the gunship is useless in solo because the AI can't do anything and the rocket pods can't hit anything due to the controls and lack of reticule.50. Have the range finder actually display range while looking through a scopeIt would really help with realism and no HUD player.51. Let us put filters on the map. The clutter is very real.52. Diversion Lure needs different icon colourDiversion Lure needs different icon colour and maybe different icon too. It causes team panic when infiltrating and seeing huge grenade icon popping up in red.53. Sync shot timer should be addedDue to voice communication lag, sync shot does not feel all that synced. It is not so much problem when playing with friends only, as you get used to each other's timing and lag, but it is especially noticeable when playing with randoms.54. Make it possible to shoot out of the back of all vehicles, not just a small select fewMakes no sense being able to shoot out of a cramp sedan trunk but not out of the SUV when I have a better position for firing.BUGS1. Weapon bug - L85A2 with TA31H (ACOG)I have the L85A2 with TA31H (ACOG). Within the gunsmith, the sight unit is located correctly on the rear mounting rail as part of the barrel assembly.Please see here for correct location of the sight unit. However, once equipping, the ACOG sight unit is appearing in 3rd person view on the frontal top rail, towards the gas block. This does not match with the gunsmith view (the gunsmith view is correct); and where it is mounted in 3rd person ingame, is a hinged cover to allow access to the weapon's gas parts. This is wrong. In the most basic of field cleaning, this rail cover would be opened a lot. We would never mount a sight there, as we'd be there all day zeroing the damn thing again. Source: British Army, SAA Instructor (Inf).2. Character/slot bugwhen using the second or third save slot, I can't see the character, he is hidden behind the customization menu to the left.3. Xbox One - Scroll bugIf I scroll too far down into locked accessories (hats for example) I lose control of the menu entirely. The only way to regain it is to back all the way out to the first customization page.4. PC - Vehicle Chat is buggedin PC mode the vehicle chat is still bugged. As in, if you open the chat to type a message while entering a vehicle, you cannot cancel or send the message. Instead all keys still register (typing Go! Throws a grenade) but you cannot send it.5. Push to talk doesn't work in drone or any vehicleI've noticed consistently whenever I'm in drone or any vehicle (Driver or pass) Push to talk doesn't work at all. Even tried changing the keybinding for push to talk to see if that'd fix it, and that was even worse. On foot with a different keybinding (Tab) push to talk activated one out of maybe ten times.6. Xbox One - Silencer sound bugwhen playing co-op with friends sometimes you will be using a silencer on your gun, but to your teammates you are loud and not using a silencer.7. PC - Occasional in-game freezesbeen experiencing momentary freezing while driving around. I haven't seen my FPS drop below about 70 so far on max settings, but every once in a while the game will freeze for 3-4 seconds while driving. The last time it happened I noticed it happened as the sky was changing from day to dusk.8. DLC Sniper rifle the Stampede (Cowboy Lever Action) is not zero'edthe DLC Sniper rifle the Stampede (Cowboy Lever Action) is not zero'ed at all. Shots land 2-3 feet above the target at 100 meters. I believe the iron sights are not aligned, because third person it is fine.9. Picked up sniper rifle not actually suppressedwhen you pick up a sniper rifle off a downed enemy it won't be suppressed. You can put a suppressor on and it sounds suppressed on your side but the enemies and other players in your game will hear it as un-suppressed so it will alert enemies10. Convoy bug/misdesignwhen doing a Story Mission or anything else, once a Convoy passes by you and gets triggered, it fails once the Convoy gets away and interrupts your current mission, forcing a reload, resetting your progress. This mostly happens when getting El Polito's car and the Convoy Story Mission hasn't been done yet. It's pretty random, but every Convoy in the game interrupts what you do, some routes are very close to other missions, thus it can get very frustrating.11. Xbox One - Lost ability to take cover / auto-cover system not working.this bug is massively infuriating. Not sure if it's tied to when you get downed or have to respawn, most times it's happened has been after I've done this. It seems to only happen to me in multiplayer only. It feels like it only happens after exiting a vehicle though, I haven't noticed it after getting revived.12. Clothing BugMulticam shading is not consistent across outfit components - the crye precision shirt is properly shaded but the pants, packs, and helmets/hats are all brighter/unshaded. Also some camouflages are not placed or sized correctly (for example 3-color DCU), and also when you use camouflage on shirt, it is always darker than the same camouflage used on your pants, creating big contrast and unrealistic effect.13. Resource taggingIf you die while tagging a resource then upon your potential revival, you and your teammates can tag that resource again.14. Player/vehicle/swimming animation issueplayers may see another player running alongside or atop a vehicle when they're actually sitting inside the vehicle. The player affected will not see this effect. It seems to occur when someone has previously died in a vehicle. Similar to the vehicle bug, the swimming animation may bug so that other players see another player as constantly swimming (with water trails from each stroke and everything). Flare bugthe flare of the signal pistol seems only to be shown to the one shooting it, not to the teammates.78. Explosives delayAll explosives in the game seem to suffer from some sort of major lag issues at times. I've had C4 and grenades just sit there for a while well after they should have exploded. The most frustrating thing is the underbarrel grenade launcher is near useless against moving vehicles because the hit doesn't register half the time and several seconds there is just an explosion where the vehicle used to be.79. Guns not loading into gameFairly often when joining a co-op game your character will be holding nothing but have his/her hands in a position as if they are holding an invisible gun. It may take several minutes before they finally do pop in. This also seems to come with huge desync with enemy location and sometimes making you immune to all damage while everything is still slowly loading in. My wife joined me once and we tried defending a rebel radio and she had no gun, could take no damage, and she could not see the enemies in the same spot as me at all. But she could heal me if I fell.... So that was nice I guess.80. Headset bugWhen I equip "Headset D" (As I have purchased the Doorkickers pack from the Store), it automatically unequips it and reverts my character back to wearing "Earpiece". I select Headset D, go back to the Accessories menu, and it's like I never selected it. Every other item I've purchased works but that one. This only happens when equipping facewear with the Patrol cap and any headset. Any goggles/masks + Patrol cap + headset = Headset automatically unequipped, despite the preview showing just fine.81. The scopes on the SVD are not aligned properlythe bullets are offset to the right where the scopes are pointed on most scopes and at least one is to the left of the crosshair.82. PC - The motorbike controls cannot be changed for left and rightI do not use WASD, so I'm using RDFG, and despite being able to map buttons on every other vehicle to RDFG, the motorbike will remain mapped to RADF - not easy to drive that way I'm afraid!83. Windows 10 - Mic BugIf you mute the microphone in-game it will mute it permanent on Windows 10.84. Boats get halfway submerged when driving around in them85. PS4 - M4A1 BugI wanted to look at the damage meter changes between silencer on and off on my M4A1. I push the touch pad to go to menu, go to Loadout tab to see the meter with silencer on. Now back to my actual game screen, I press L2 to aim, press up arrow to take silencer off. Press touch pad, go to Loadout tab, read the meter. Then when I exit out back to Bolivia, my character just reloads out of nowhere as if I have an empty mag. So I repeat. Silencer back on, go to Loadout, then back out. It reloads again. If I do this 5 times straight, I will run out of ammo.86. C4 and possibly other throwables bugYou can throw C4 and possibly other throwables through thin objects by orienting your character so that the arm goes through the object when it releases the throwable.87. Helicopter & Airplane handlinghelicopter handling is still problematic and frustrating. discussion :: discussion :: discussion2. Multiplayer/Coop in-game synchronizationwhile playing in coop, we have noticed multiple times that some of the objects/enemies/etc. are not in the same place for everyone in the group. The synchronization between the server and clients needs to be improved. There are also reports about weather not being synchronized. The character conversations in Coop is not synchronized as well.3. Vehicles aren't durable enoughthey get blown up way too easily. Even the heavily armors APC tank can't survive some machine gun fire. discussion.4. Keep crouched positionwhen crouched, and grabbing an enemy. Please make the character go back to crouched position after knocking out the enemy. Not just stand straight up.5. Disappearing bodiesdead bodies should only disappear when the player is too far away and no longer in area of operations. discussion6. Defeated bases / SAM sites must go into rebel/ghost control and should not respawnabsolutely hate that defeating a base means nothing. I spend at least a half an hour taking over a base to get rid of it's SAMs and drone jammers and guess what? It doesn't even matter! I leave, come back, and not only is base control reverted, but annoying ass SAMs and jammers are back up! Why do I even bother? I don't even try to attack bases anymore, I just avoid them entirely unless there's something from them that I need like intel or a skill point. Nothing ruins a game like the feeling that not only is all of your effort for naught, but all of the little annoyances will come back even if you defeat them. Of all of the features that might bother me, this is the worst. discussion :: discussion7. Vehicles are too slowBikes and most cars are too slow.I can't play because some times target escapes and cars too slow I can't take them. it feels like the vehicles are stuck in first gear.8. Steal helicopter missionIn the steal the helicopter missions there needs to be some delay between the enemy entering the cockpit and him taking off for at least two reasons. One, if the enemy reaches the cockpit it's basically an automatic mission failure, there's no chance to try to salvage it. Two, aircraft have lengthy startup procedures, and seeing him jump in and be 100 feet in the air and gone in seconds is silly. Perhaps a 10-ish second delay while the engine/rotor spools up would be good.9. Potato ballisticsWhat about the potato ballistics? The muzzle velocity is really low and the bullet drop insanely high. This sometimes makes sniping a real nightmare.10. Weapon camo/skin does not matchthe shade in Gunsmith is accurate compared to the loadout/skills screen and actually in-game.11. Allow animation cancelIt is frustrating how when I am under fire and my vehicle is about explode, I go through this long animation of opening the door, hopping out, turning around, and closing the door behind me. It locks my camera angle until the long animation is complete. I find myself thinking to my character "JUST MOVE DAMN IT" I should be hopping out with my gun in hand ready to move or fire. Instead, it feels clunky and incredibly non-fluid. Another example is when tagging resources or snapping photos of intel. If someone is shooting at me I should be able to cancel what I am doing and shoot back. Even tagging a supply truck, I tag and the camera and my actions are locked/disabled until I finish tagging and then finish standing up. The moment the tracker is on there i should be able to book it. The era of locked in animations was years ago--needs to be updated.12. Retired Army vet and gunsmith feedbackI feel like the mechanics of ballistics and weapon attachments aren't quite thought out. Specific issues include damage not matched to real-world caliber, weapon operation not representing real-world efficiency (everything seems to reload about the same speed) and confusion about what the listed stats represent (is recoil under handling or accuracy? Shouldn't recoil go down as weight goes up?) Modern suppressors also should not affect bullet velocity meaningfully.13. AI line of sight issueAI teammates do not actually need LOS to make sync shots or even spot enemies. AI teammates seem to be able to walk right by enemies without being detected.14. Vehicle drop-offVehicle drop will drop will sometimes drop the vehicle on your character killing you, but most of the time it will drop it on the sides on mountains or in between trees and in the case of helicopters they will get destroyed or be able take off. Perhaps vehicles need to spawn closer or on flat ground.15. Alarm towers and generators should not be destroyable with firearmsit makes them pointless, since most players will always just shoot out them from a distance. There needs to be a choice of risk/reward. Do you take a chance and leave them and take out the enemies from a distance risking an alarm or do you risk going into the base disable them beforehand.16. Rejoin timer is way too shortIf I crash and reload the game it gives me an option to rejoin but by the time I notice it, it has already expired.SUGGESTIONS1. The AI teammates customizationwe should be able to customize the AI teammates.2. Let us choose to be revived or not ("bleed out" button)there should be a respawn button when you die in a single player. We should have a choice whether to be revived by an AI teammate in singleplayer or not. discussion :: discussion3. Allow us to drag the bodiesit would be nice to be able to drag the bodies away (related to disappearing bodies as well) discussion4. Night vision goggleswhen using night vision, the night vision goggles are not actually visible on players head (it is basically just a screen filter). Please consider adding Night Vision Goggles (NVGS) to helmets / stand alone.5. Add a scope larger than 6xthe map is huge and the highest magnification is only 6x, at least make it 12-14x.6. Add compasswe want to play without any HUD at all, and to do this we need more navigation tools than just the map. Because of this, we would very much appreciate having a compass.7. I'm really just guessing where the miniguns will shoot than I am actually aiming.19. Add in an option to turn off AI squadmate's chatter completelywhen using the drone and marking targets I've had several people speak over each other as a target is seen. After a skirmish with enemies that you started silently but then went loud (on purpose) you'll get a squadmate say "that was fucking messy" - screw you I don't want to know what you think! Or pointing a gun at a civilian and you'll get "maybe we should lower our weapons" - I'm the squad leader, don't tell me what to do!20. Add a home basesomewhere to store the cars, copters ansld guns I find that arent in my loadout. It would ve cool if it had a skill system to upgrade your base and enemies could attack it or trigger events when you're playing.21. Rethink the command group wheel for consoleI think they should rethink the command group wheel for console. This might be great in PC, but in console this is quite the drag. Plus, why do I have to stop to make these marching orders? I feel like the character should be allowed to move while it is making these commands to the group. Allowing me to move while making these commands would make the game play feel much more fluid, then feeling like I am stopping to get a bite of my burrito.23. Assign different dialogues to other playersFor players 2-4 to be assigned dialogue from Midas, Holt, and Weaver. So when you're playing in Multiplayer, you don't have 4 Nomads going "Deploying Drone", "Drones up", "I got the Bike!", "I'll fly", etc.24. Add a wing suitAdd a wing suit! How cool would that be to glide around the mountains and stuff like that, it would be so fun!25. The Ghosts always perform a full reload even if theres a round left in the chamberfix this and add a tactical reload so that the ghosts just swap the mags if there are bullets left. R6S is a good example for this. I'm used to reload before the mag is fully empty because it saves time in combat. And i'm positive that special forces would do it the same way. Also the Ghosts should use their support hand to pull the charging handle.26. Landing gearlet me raise and lower landing gear on aircraft that have landing gear that can be raised and lowered.27. Within the gunsmith, the sight unit is located correctly on the rear mounting rail as part of the barrel assembly.Please see here for correct location of the sight unit. However, once equipping, the ACOG sight unit is appearing in 3rd person view on the frontal top rail, towards the gas block. This does not match with the gunsmith view (the gunsmith view is correct); and where it is mounted in 3rd person ingame, is a hinged cover to allow access to the weapon's gas parts. This is wrong. In the most basic of field cleaning, this rail cover would be opened a lot. We would never mount a sight there, as we'd be there all day zeroing the damn thing again. You can put a suppressor on and it sounds suppressed on your side but the enemies and other players in your game will hear it as un-suppressed so it will alert enemies10. Convoy bug/misdesignwhen doing a Story Mission or anything else, once a Convoy passes by you and gets triggered, it fails once the Convoy gets away and interrupts your current mission, forcing a reload, resetting your progress. This mostly happens when getting El Polito's car and the Convoy Story Mission hasn't been done yet. It's pretty random, but every Convoy in the game interrupts what you do, some routes are very close to other missions, thus it can get very frustrating.11. Xbox One - Lost ability to take cover / auto-cover system not working.this bug is massively infuriating. Not sure if it's tied to when you get downed or have to respawn, most times it's happened has been after I've done this. It seems to only happen to me in multiplayer only. It feels like it only happens after exiting a vehicle though, I haven't noticed it after getting revived.12. Clothing BugMulticam shading is not consistent across outfit components - the crye precision shirt is properly shaded but the pants, packs, and helmets/hats are all brighter/unshaded. Also some camouflages are not placed or sized correctly (for example 3-color DCU), and also when you use camouflage on shirt, it is always darker than the same camouflage used on your pants, creating big contrast and unrealistic effect.13. Resource taggingIf you die while tagging a resource then upon your potential revival, you and your teammates can tag that resource again.14. Player/vehicle/swimming animation issueplayers may see another player running alongside or atop a vehicle when they're actually sitting inside the vehicle. The player affected will not see this effect. It seems to occur when someone has previously died in a vehicle. Similar to the vehicle bug, the swimming animation may bug so that other players see another player as constantly swimming (with water trails from each stroke and everything). IMO the extended mag looks ugly on the MK17 so I only use the standard mag on it, but it still shows the extended mag in game and it's driving me insane.31. 3 round burst bugThere is a bug with 3 round burst resulting in a dead trigger (click to fire, nothing happens). I've only tested this on the G36C. This is on PC.32. Tac-map bugWhen one of your teammates puts a way-point on a gun or part, you cannot tell what it is when you hover over it in the TAC-MAP.33. Map glitchFallen through the map multiple times. Walking around on rocky hillsides is extremely glitchy. Respawn points for certain camps/missions are terrible and make you walk hella far around a rocky structure.34. PS4 Bug - Unidad patrol levelI can't see the Unidad patrol level on my HUD. It displays correctly in the factions tab.35. The M1891 Nagant incorrectly has a straight boltit should have a bent bolt to fit under the scope when cycled.36. AUG BugThe 20 round magazine of the AUG looks like a 30 round magazine and the 30 round magazine looks like (I think) a 50 round magazine (which makes the magazine look unnecessarily long)37. SASG-12 BugThe SASG-12s 30 round mag looks ridiculous. Just replace the model with a drum and it should be fine (I also think that the magazine that's portrayed ingame is a 20 round magazine and not 30)38. Xbox - XP BugI can gain XP, or at least it shows that I am getting it but my blue bar is maxed out at level 6 and will not let me progress to any higher levels. Is anyone else having this issue? I didn't have my XP progress bar for the HUD turned out originally so I didn't even notice this but I have already played about 18 hours worth and have around 25 skill points unused and really do not want to start over.39. Drone/Binoculars bugSometimes after parachuting or bailing from a destroyed helicopter, I cannot use drone or binocs for an extended amount of time.40. The hybrid scope bugif I switch weapons and switch back, the hybrid scope would be flicked into position while zoomed out at the same time (as if the scope wasn't flicked into position) . Pressing the hybrid scope button makes the character flick an invisible scope back up to zoom it back in. I don't know if that makes sense, it's like the game forgets to keep the scope on the side if I keep it in red dot view.41. Female shaggy hair + goggles = ADS bugplaying as a female with shaggy hair and goggles sometimes cause your hair to cover you scope when ADS.42. Flare bugthe flare of the signal pistol seems only to be shown to the one shooting it, not to the teammates.78. Explosives delayAll explosives in the game seem to suffer from some sort of major lag issues at times. I've had C4 and grenades just sit there for a while well after they should have exploded. The most frustrating thing is the underbarrel grenade launcher is near useless against moving vehicles because the hit doesn't register half the time and several seconds there is just an explosion where the vehicle used to be.79. Guns not loading into gameFairly often when joining a co-op game your character will be holding nothing but have his/her hands in a position as if they are holding an invisible gun. It may take several minutes before they finally do pop in. This also seems to come with huge desync with enemy location and sometimes making you immune to all damage while everything is still slowly loading in. My wife joined me once and we tried defending a rebel radio and she had no gun, could take no damage, and she could not see the enemies in the same spot as me at all. But she could heal me if I fell.... So that was nice I guess.80. Headset bugWhen I equip "Headset D" (As I have purchased the Doorkickers pack from the Store), it automatically unequips it and reverts my character back to wearing "Earpiece". I select Headset D, go back to the Accessories menu, and it's like I never selected it. Every other item I've purchased works but that one. This only happens when equipping facewear with the Patrol cap and any headset. Any goggles/masks + Patrol cap + headset = Headset automatically unequipped, despite the preview showing just fine.81. The scopes on the SVD are not aligned properlythe bullets are offset to the right where the scopes are pointed on most scopes and at least one is to the left of the crosshair.82. PC - The motorbike controls cannot be changed for left and rightI do not use WASD, so I'm using RDFG, and despite being able to map buttons on every other vehicle to RDFG, the motorbike will remain mapped to RADF - not easy to drive that way I'm afraid!83. Windows 10 - Mic BugIf you mute the microphone in-game it will mute it permanent on Windows 10.84. Boats get halfway submerged when driving around in them85. PS4 - M4A1 BugI wanted to look at the damage meter changes between silencer on and off on my M4A1. I push the touch pad to go to menu, go to Loadout tab to see the meter with silencer on. Now back to my actual game screen, I press L2 to aim, press up arrow to take silencer off. Press touch pad, go to Loadout tab, read the meter. Then when I exit out back to Bolivia, my character just reloads out of nowhere as if I have an empty mag. So I repeat. Silencer back on, go to Loadout, then back out. It reloads again. If I do this 5 times straight, I will run out of ammo.86. C4 and possibly other throwables bugYou can throw C4 and possibly other throwables through thin objects by orienting your character so that the arm goes through the object when it releases the throwable.87. Radios everywherethe amount of radios in-game should be reduced, or simply turn some of them off by default. discussion :: discussion2. Helicopter & Airplane handlinghelicopter handling is still problematic and frustrating. discussion :: discussion :: discussion3. Multiplayer/Coop in-game synchronizationwhile playing in coop, we have noticed multiple times that some of the objects/enemies/etc. are not in the same place for everyone in the group. The synchronization between the server and clients needs to be improved. There are also reports about weather not being synchronized. The character conversations in Coop is not synchronized as well.4. Vehicles aren't durable enoughthey get blown up way too easily. Even the heavily armors APC tank can't survive some machine gun fire. discussion.5. Keep crouched positionwhen crouched, and grabbing an enemy. Please make the character go back to crouched position after knocking out the enemy. Not just stand straight up.6. Disappearing bodiesdead bodies should only disappear when the player is too far away and no longer in area of operations. discussion7. Defeated bases / SAM sites must go into rebel/ghost control and should not respawnabsolutely hate that defeating a base means nothing. I spend at least a half an hour taking over a base to get rid of it's SAMs and drone jammers and guess what? It doesn't even matter! I leave, come back, and not only is base control reverted, but annoying ass SAMs and jammers are back up! Why do I even bother? I don't even try to attack bases anymore, I just avoid them entirely unless there's something from them that I need like intel or a skill point. Nothing ruins a game like the feeling that not only is all of your effort for naught, but all of the little annoyances will come back even if you defeat them. Of all of the features that might bother me, this is the worst. discussion :: discussion8. Vehicles are too slowBikes and most cars are too slow.I can't play because some times target escapes and cars too slow I can't take them. it feels like the vehicles are stuck in first gear.9. Steal helicopter missionIn the steal the helicopter missions there needs to be some delay between the enemy entering the cockpit and him taking off for at least two reasons. One, if the enemy reaches the cockpit it's basically an automatic mission failure, there's no chance to try to salvage it. Two, aircraft have lengthy startup procedures, and seeing him jump in and be 100 feet in the air and gone in seconds is silly. Perhaps a 10-ish second delay while the engine/rotor spools up would be good.10. Potato ballisticsWhat about the potato ballistics? The muzzle velocity is really low and the bullet drop insanely high. This sometimes makes sniping a real nightmare.11. Weapon camo/skin does not matchthe shade in Gunsmith is accurate compared to the loadout/skills screen and actually in-game.12. Allow animation cancelIt is frustrating how when I am under fire and my vehicle is about explode, I go through this long animation of opening the door, hopping out, turning around, and closing the door behind me. It locks my camera angle until the long animation is complete. I find myself thinking to my character "JUST MOVE DAMN IT" I should be hopping out with my gun in hand ready to move or fire. Instead, it feels clunky and incredibly non-fluid. Another example is when tagging resources or snapping photos of intel. If someone is shooting at me I should be able to cancel what I am doing and shoot back. Even tagging a supply truck, I tag and the camera and my actions are locked/disabled until I finish tagging and then finish standing up. The moment the tracker is on there i should be able to book it. The era of locked in animations was years ago--needs to be updated.13. Retired Army vet and gunsmith feedbackI feel like the mechanics of ballistics and weapon attachments aren't quite thought out. Specific issues include damage not matched to real-world caliber, weapon operation not representing real-world efficiency (everything seems to reload about the same speed) and confusion about what the listed stats represent (is recoil under handling or accuracy? Shouldn't recoil go down as weight goes up?) Modern suppressors also should not affect bullet velocity meaningfully.14. AI line of sight issueAI teammates do not actually need LOS to make sync shots or even spot enemies. AI teammates seem to be able to walk right by enemies without being detected.15. Vehicle drop-offVehicle drop will drop will sometimes drop the vehicle on your character killing you, but most of the time it will drop it on the sides on mountains or in between trees and in the case of helicopters they will get destroyed or be able take off. Perhaps vehicles need to spawn closer or on flat ground.16. Alarm towers and generators should not be destroyable with firearmsit makes them pointless, since most players will always just shoot out them from a distance. There needs to be a choice of risk/reward. Do you take a chance and leave them and take out the enemies from a distance risking an alarm or do you risk going into the base disable them beforehand.17. Rejoin timer is way too shortIf I crash and reload the game it gives me an option to rejoin but by the time I notice it, it has already expired.SUGGESTIONS1. The AI teammates customizationwe should be able to customize the AI teammates.2. Let us choose to be revived or not ("bleed out" button)there should be a respawn button when you die in a single player. We should have a choice whether to be revived by an AI teammate in singleplayer or not. discussion :: discussion3. Allow us to drag the bodiesit would be nice to be able to drag the bodies away (related to disappearing bodies as well) discussion4. Night vision goggleswhen using night vision, the night vision goggles are not actually visible on players head (it is basically just a screen filter). Please consider adding Night Vision Goggles (NVGS) to helmets / stand alone.5. Add a scope larger than 6xthe map is huge and the highest magnification is only 6x, at least make it 12-14x.6. Add compasswe want to play without any HUD at all, and to do this we need more navigation tools than just the map. Because of this, we would very much appreciate having a compass.7. Parachuting bugEvery now and then when I jump out of a chopper to parachute, I get stuck in the air, after my chute deploys.
